Translation is my hobby.

 

Selective translation of poetry of Dr Bendre (dattathreya ramachandra bendre, ambikatanaya data)

Rise to which world?

Weaving friendship-affection failing

Which prasada you are bringing?

In which dedication(submision) you are present?

To there where no border

Rising rising  mooving to earth

To talk of silence

Come to here

123)know eye  but know all(if eye becomes clear know all):

 

1)in dirt water-don’t put hand and disturb

Simply sit and see

Earth joins earth-water joins waterit knows it’s root

We only disturb water.

 

2)soil  removes dirt

 Water removes dirt

Makes to fly  dirt air

Burns dirt sunlight

In zero of sky some guesture has entered

In that is caught our mind.

 

3)tying dark to back

Speaks against light.

Evening poison has not got down to earth

 When light joins dark

Do namaskarams to lord

 

4)wnhen ‘nama’ is told ‘mana’ becomes upside down

Blood of heart flows towards head

Catch delicacy of that zero and see

There only water is disturbed(mixed)

In that is root of light

Go and sit (join) in that light

Life should be of light

Dark should perish.

 

5) seing—joining   appearing-rising

Become one note  day by day(daily)

Then grows different garden(forest)

 

6)there should be built new temple

There exists  different feet

Go go to shiva’s town

What soil is there in yama’s town?

There burnt lime exists

There colour exists-no light

Eye exists-not knowing.

 

If eye becomes clear  know all

124)why worry of bhava(this world)  to shiva(abhava):

1)to dillness touched ash of kama

His’s is third path for ever

Same if wins;same if fails

Namaskarams to shiva namaskarams to jina

Took birth in   liberation (mukthi) lass ;came

same to krishna(black) same to  white

One to pika(kokila),one to shuka(parrot)

Body is body,breath is breath

 ,formless,is also new name only

Same even if seen;same if found

Existing behind appearance  is one only

 

2)why worry of this world(bhava) to shiva?

did bhava also  came from him?

Thia story is also bundle bundle!

different beyond omkara

what is there?why shunya to it?!

There is no  movment (fate) of  dharma

Silent skyless

Blind self bright

 

Night all right,day all right

Silence and talk one ori(worry?)          

To one who tells  came came

Does  father exists ?mother exists

 

3) o unborn,fun maker(tricky fellow)

You took birth,being born not enough

Bhava  spoiled.(bad)?

Family is graveyard

Life and death equal.

To poor body,to dry deadbody

Which is bondage?

To linga(sign) and world

What is relation?

To problem of linga and alinga

See is hanging  friendship of bhava(this world)

To dullness of ash has returned

Lust’s divine organ(part).

Come ,here is furnace(oven)even in snow of kailasa

In wet thama(dark) of shunya

One love is there without leaving

Burden of bhava is flower garland

Dig yama in thama(dark)

Let that bud bud out.

When dark gives kiss to light

Moon has appeared

Day sliped and went,full open field

Stars temple.

 

2)putting hand to shoulder ,air had come

‘come along with me’

When told I told ‘why now closeness?’

For many days this  desire,

Kili kili jirundi insect

May call I don’t know,neck promise

Embraced chill cold.

View is as usual

Body in body ,hand in hand

Play of guts and fingures.

Thorn full body,bored I am jumping  laming

Is this herd- cow  this is myness?solid solid what  people!

This sin-well-as frog sounding how much days?

Told is one,heard is one,appearing is different one

I am a devil,you are cadever(dead body,ghost),grave yard air is blowing

Which  talk is light?this is  ethi- prethi(dead opposite)!kaala-kaali in dance

 

3)here is market of wood  devils,this is which gentlemanship?

This is  ‘not this not this’(nethi nethi) new assembly’s modern ethic!

Thala thala (beat beat) injury(aaghaatha)again  disaster feel feel

Word to word accident feared have remained death and pain.

 

4)boring(bico,silent) is  bayalu seeme  this road is cross and cross

‘if told echo,echo came,stone hill around.

Noise and silence have joined ,here one grave yard to both.

If there is bring one bread

Bring  butter  on to it.

 If no-bring oil

put  khara powder  on it

 eat it full stomach

drink, cha available,

hold  path which you came

on cycle  climb and run.

Falsely scratches head

No hairs there-

it is only   bald head.

All have burnt out

Inside burning oven

To some one  put bali(sacrifice)

What we have eaten came today

Who knows tomorrows path?   

 

3)why? What do you say?

Don’t play my strings

Toyi toyi toyi toy!

Don’t start crying sound

And don’t  sing your song.

Hold thieves path

From there-you went to court

What happened?will send to jail

There learn  black business quickly

3) let demon die,let human watch(protect)

Pain only licks  god.

In rasa only exists burn of fire

Light only pecks(pricks) eye.

 

4)to caste memory of caste  itself is enemy

Pending of failure and success

though buds out to some  light

 covers life and life(jiva)

Self(athma) is  wicked,with  sanyasi it is pair,to jiva!

Hit back,pulse of ego!value of murder ,is not for even head.

Total destruction may come,is not god worried?

What  if  buddha sleeps? There is war

Panduri(white ganga) here joining kaali(black yamune)

has got down to west

I have not seen opposite play

moon moon sun witness poet witness

Shall I tell rasa meals.

New epoch has come

That party this party why scisors

To bird world is equal.
