SANDHI 1:

1)    O lakshmipathi(husband of Lakshmi), having eyes like lotus petals,Murari, moving animals and birds and non moving  plants always filled,sin destroyer,always happy, giver to god’s groups,lotus eyed,supporter to better charecters,father of Manmatha,praised by Vedanthas,beautiful shaped,chennigaraya(handsome),you produce good to world.

2)Chennigaraya(handsome),you have slept in  milk sea bed.mukunda,killer of demon  named Kamsa.Gods and munies do namaskarams to you.You lifted up and held Govardhana mountain.You are Achyutha(destructionless),gets fun by flute sound,birthless,killer of demon called Mura,god.Apart from that you are king of this town(city).Such protect all good people.

 

3)Who made serpent enemy  eagle(Garuda) as flag,who gave boon to  vibhishana,protecter of devotees of Vishnu,Vajra to kula mountain called  sin,killer of Narakasura,great,better purusha,son of Yashodhe,remover of sorrow produced  ssin,king of this town handsome(chennigaraya),protect us always.

 

4)Elephant faced,ganapathi(lord of ganas),pot bellied,lord of pramathas  groups,kadubu(sweet  edicle) lover,axe in hand, rope,  and ankusha holder, Done namaskarams by gods,humans,and nagas(serpents),.good son of parvathi,  Like sea of education(knowledge),boon giver, ganadhipathi (lord of ganas), kindly grace mangala  to this my intellect.

 

5)Mother Sharade, you have eyes like lotus petals,admired by Indra who killed jambasura(jamba named demon),wife of Brahma, treasure of good charecters,supporter  to those who surrender(request),beauty,knower of veda topics,very beautiful,gracer of boons to devotees, such you, showing love, with love,should reside in my tongue.

 

6)Dharmaraja is great among kings.To him romasha mahamuni,describing story of Nala king,told.Such great story  to sajjanas(good people)  who listen with  faith.Direct (sakshath) Vishnu only, with chennigaraya mark(ankitha)  I will tell.

 

7)Above  Nalacharithre is a punya(merit) story. Th those people who listen with respect ,the sins which thay have done in births and births  all sorrows will get destroyed.Apart from that that god to sajjanas(good people) eleohant,horses,chariot, state treasure wxcetras  with honour will call and give.

 

8)Yudhistira  along with kouravas,gambling,getting defeated,lost  state.But still he did not leave truth. He who got defeated, along with Bhimarjuna  excetra brothers,wife Droupadi,muni Dhoumya, and along with ministers doing piligrimage came, was going in front of Kamyakavana(kamyaka garden).

 

9)While Dharmaraya was  moving in kamyakavana,”Ayyo what is the condition of Arjuna?He by doing penance did he forget  all of us?”thinking like this, lamented(halubidanu). Then sent by Devndra romaka mahamuni, along with his friends, like sun, enlighting, came to that Kamyaka vana.

 

11) Seing those munies,Dharmaja, standing up  coming with his brothers, welcomed and did namaskarams to their feet.sHe carried them to mantap made with buded leaves.With fear and devotion washing  hands and feet of those munies, treating,made them to sit in Darbhasana.

 

12)Dharmaraya told to munies like this;”you are devarshies,Your power is wonderful.you are holy people(selved).yiou are fit for honour in all three worlds heaven,earth,pathala(deep depth).Truthful,pure souled, nobody can know your greatness. When like this,this is beyond my knowledge.Chance of doing yout feet service we got!That is enough.we are blessed.”.

 

13)Romasha”king are you safe?your wife,brothers,children,minister samanthas, and muni dhoumya-are they all happy?”on asking like this”your great kindness amritha  is protecting us,there is no other safety higher than this”like this yudhistira answered.

 

14)Yudhistira with Romsha”rushies,do you want to listen to our bad conditions?In gambling keeping  earth(land)  as challenge,getting defeated,along with brothers and wife, came to forest.Staying in mountains and caves  of forest, without happiness,struggled.Ayyo god, is there anybody on earth who have got tired like us on earth?If there is,who are they?will you tell?” asked like this with sigh.

 

15)Romesha”king, why are you so much upset?In past kings Nala,Harischandra, Srirama, excetras  in forest separating from their wives,will undergo difficulties. Are you having that much troubles as they had?you simply don’t get your mind pained”told.

 

16)Muni told llike this and continued.”Ayya why do you worry?Though forest group of rushies  themselves are  in  king’s durbar  to you.Srikrishna’s kindness sea itself is  treasure to you.Arjuna Bhima and Madri’s sons  Nakula,sahadeva, are arm strength to you.Wife herself is  rich enjoyment  treasure.When there is such better  forest state, who is equal to you?”

 

17)”Therefore  munipathi,  king Nala became  rajyabrashta( state corrupt...?) you told,why did he became away from state?How did he got separated from his wife Damayanthi?How did that Nala king got state? You should inform these things.”like this when Dharmaraja requested, Romesha started to tell  with smile.

 

18)Yudhistira,Nala  emperor  was very powerful among kings.he was famous ruling the state.Sutha muni only told  his holy stories to all munies.That only Agashtya muni told to Srirama with love.

 

19)king, you should listen to Nalacharithre(history of Nala).There is a great city called Nishadha.There wherever seen  towers and prakaras(enclosures,avaranas)  tips a re seen.Shining with  colours rays  of gold and rathnas temples were there.That  city was  famous on earth(earthworld) as residence of wonder.

 

20) curved curved fort wall  shining by  lines of dooms,wide tigers faced doors,

Twinkling mira mira  padies(......?) fixed by  beads and diamonds,by  bands(patties),with great stages,by pavatiges shining with   gold, by brightness of kalashas(holy vessels) shining on upstairs.

 

21)kissing clouds fort’s high parts,fort walls,very deeply dug  pits,fort surrounded by ditch(kandaka), covering around  like stars of sky cloth, finely appearing,line lines of mirrors,rathna brightness-by these this city was shining.

 

22)By sun and moon  going streets ,gold’s various kinds of  bead walls and rathnaful  shining of secured gardens(bhadravanas) was rising heaven only.Apart from that  music sung by youths(lasses),by sounds of playing veenas,by beautiful  big big buildings, nishadha city was shining.

 

23)By Brahmins,kshathriyas, vaishyas, shudras,by skilful experts,poets,by wrestlers, and by singers  by endless rathikas(one who sits on the chariot for war,not charioteer,sarathi),by war valients, and elephants,chariots, horses,foot soldiers(kalaalu,padaathi),by four part army(chathuranga  army),  city was shining.

 

24)Garden in city was shining by saala,bilva  leaf,bela(kapittha),janbu fruit tree,honge tree,pomegranate,Nagakesara,banyan(ala),ole tree,Areca,Echala(kadamba),gorate,banana,dates,thaale, sandal(chandana),jack fruit(halasu),thakkola,kedage,kodasige, and line trees group .

 

25) Such nishadha city’s king is  tearing gathering enemies, Veerasena.His son only is Nala mahakaja(king).He was very valiant,,religious,like crown to moon family(chandravamsha).of serious nature,apart from that  he was emperor to  kings of  seven  Islands.

 

26)having borders of sea and Meru mountain,extended upto horizon(digantha), give kappas (tax)to him.valients having shoulder power,how many  crown wearers doing namaskarams to Nala king,  were worshiping him. His durbar  was  shining like Devndras olagasale(durbar).

 

27)On this side in north direction, Vidarbha named city was there. Enlighting that was shining like  Amaravathi.By beautiful constructions, gold fixed rathnaful  upstairs lines, it was shining.

 

28)To that Vidarbha city Bhima named was king.He in charecters,in smoothness(justice?),in show of valience,in skill,in good luck,in bravery was rich.On one day he within himself ,while he was upset as he had no children, Damana named High muni, came to him.

 

29)To arrived muni doing namaskarams king stood.joining hands with politeness  requesting “without children progeny(santhana)  wealth is of no use”like this got pained.Muni on listening those words, consoling king with kindness,”to father who have no children it produces  much pain”told.

 

30)Immedeately high muni Damana  seing with yoga vision,to get son perform a sacrifice(yaga).If you do so you will get son surely”.on hearing those words, king showing a good day,in good muhurtham(auspicious ) time, to gods and humans to get satisfied, as per manthra rituals, perfoming yajna(sacrifice) with love completed.

 

31)After completion of sacrifice(yaga), treating(showing hospitality)  munies, according to their suitability, sent off.As a result of sacrifice(yajna,yaga),kings wife became pregnant.She soon after completion of nine months  in good lagna(muhurtham), and good world beauty  daughter  she delivered.

 

32) Then devine drums sounded.On eart everywhere town people danced.King at that time doing namaskarama to Damana muni,proper  name  should be suggested to their daughter requested like this.

 

33)to that muni’to beautiful she  ‘Damayanthi’ name is better.’informing like this, went to his Ashrama.

 

34)folds folds curley,lips like havala,beautiful arms, cone(shankha) like neck,Fickle eyes,champaka like nose.,moon like forehead, like lion’s waist thin waist, walking  with style slowly like swan(anche),bug breasts, bud like hand,lotus like face, that Damayanthi, was enjoying in palace.

 

35)”Whether  in character,in chastity(purity),in statement of words,in seriousness,in courtesy,in endless education,in guru and gods devotion,equal to parvathi and Rathi, to that beauty  in this world other ordinary  women will they equal?surely not”

 

36) Panduson,one day  king Bhima was conversing about kings.Then poets chasity of Nala king,his beauty treasure,,high knowledge,beauty  charecters ,form, praised very much.In durbar of Bhima king Damayanthi  all news of Nala  mindfully(liking in mind).On listening her mind  with joy  started to remember Nala only.Worry increased.By remembering with love, drew his figure in picture.Fascination produced about him.her mind got attracted to him.

 

37)To Damayanthi as fascination on Nala increasing,as though he was waiting for that only,Manmatha  quickly united his power.Singing’ kho’ kingswans,,groups of bees, enjoyed. Cuckoo  sang ‘kuhu’loudly  in high tone.Parrots  told kili.peacocks played.While these were happening, Manmatha all his flower ganes(arrows),to bow threw on Damayanthi.

 

38)Madana’s flower arrow, pierced Damayabthi.As a result of that  she did not wanted  meals.In eye dark of kama covered. Honour done by sadhvies   she did not accept.Due to much boredom she started to get tired.withou making to tell anything in detail  reduced speeches.Body lost charm. She left joy which  young   females get.

 

39)In mind of Damayanthi  her friends found  pain of seoeration, growing interwoven.They without delay her who was  baking by separation flame,in town,in flower garden,in beautiful flowered trees,in shadow of tender buds,in flower pannir  emitting fragrance,and in forest treated   in various kinds.

 

40)On seing condition of Damayanthi, few among friends, thought “what is this fact”.She who was delicate  treated in various kinds.Few sprinkled  rose water to cool on her.Few to her body  parts  applied  rubbed campher and sandal(gandha).Still few  to lessen burn  blowd fans.Again few  spread flower bed.

 

41)Friends to beloved Damayanthi,  did cool treatment like this.But separation pain instead of reducing increased.On seing that, those  friends  with fear became upset(disturbed).They “to this what  more shall we do?”like this became worried.”In this way producing pain, troubling Manmatha is very sinful”scolding like this, at end consoling Damayanthi,brought to middle of garden.

 

42)In that garden nagakesara,padari,lemon,banyan,kedage,patali,kodasige,mango,bela(kapittha),pomegranate(dalimba),champaka,kangu, excetra plants and trees  were there.In them parrot, peacock,jilibiliga,thalegubbi,, crane,green parrot,,Myna bird,lavuge,xuckoo,chakora,Minchulli, excetras birds were there.s

 

43)There was a lake near by.there matched rathnas,lines lines steps,red lotus flowers,their buds,bees in flower buds,swans,cranes,and chakravakas  had given beauty to them.sLike that in beauty showing pond  good charectered(sadgunies,experts in water play, those friends with damatanthi  played.

 

44)sAfter water play, friend getting permission of king, bringing Damayanthi to bank of lake,removing dresses  and wears made her to sit on milk stone.sApart from that  making various kinds of cool treatment, consoled  her separation pain.

SANDHI 2: Speaking many kinds of   smooth(naya......?) ethics words, Nala to Damayanthi through swan sent message.As a result of it Damayanthi liking Nala became his wife.

1)Dharmaraya,on this side Bhhima king’s daughter  separation pain was increasing.On that side in Nishadhanagara  nNala emperor ruling it, in his high  durbar threaded in line and line, rathnas shining throne was sitting giving durbar.

 

2)Durbar of Nala  emperor was  added with  kings of kings,ministers excetras group had gathered.There goula,vanga,Kalinga,kunthala,chola,Barbara,Sindhu,kerala,laala,Magadha,varala, sourastra excetra  countries kings had gathered.Girls,ministers,valiant soldiers, actors,singers, and poets were sitting.By these durbar was shining.

 

3)While king was in durbar, a country travelling Brahmana, came there.With Nala king”though peculiar fact on earth, is there anything?”enquired like this.To that brahmana told like this.”king,there  is  Bhima king in  Vidarbha country! he has got one daughter.To get such a daughter how much punya he has done?”

 

4)”She is high in beauty and character.It is impossible for me to describe  that beauty by me.She is not like other women of world.Very clean  her shape! Verysoft sweet  words talk(conversation)!In this matter there is nobody equal to her in this world.”

 

5)”Hey king,Let there be beauty of Rathi  Srikrishna’s  daughter in law,let there be beauty of moon’s daughter,let there be beauty of sister of Munaka,even   Damayanthi’s beauty  makes to forget beauty of varuna’s daughter also. To her who is having lotus like eye, nobody is equal to her on earth.”

 

6)Ear’s gold ole(  ear ornament’s) brightness, when shines on cheek,when saree border slips,when breasts collapse,when waist shakes, while emitting(gargling) smile, when neck bends due to heaviness of knot,while holding veena in hands, her beauty is beauty!um-hum-It is not possible to describe.”

 

7) As brahmanna(Brahmin) told like this, to his wors words Nala emperor  noded head.Apart from that to his eye as though Damayanthi appeared, love was produced on her.Due to hit of flower arrows , paining in mind, “Shiva shiva!due to fickleness  with  luxury (vilasa)filled eye, She how can become mine??”thought like this.

 

8)Nala filled Damayanthi’s each character  remembered in his mind and tasted.By remembering got excited. By separation  became goal to pain. Due to extraordinary  separation burn, his body became reduced.In such difficulty king Nala was there, a hunter came with  group of hunters.

 

9)Hunters gave fruits as gift  requested.”king,There is hunt of a big animal.You should come for this”.On heraring those words king slightly laughed.But in mind”yes,to solve this separation pain, this is good work”telling like this sending off hunters, went to palace from durbar.At the time  sun set in western sea.

 

10)Next day morning  Nala emperor  calling his all army, welcomed. Bending head to king’s order, shining  sword,bharji(knife),excetra weapons, expert valients,various kinds of nets,stick,rope excetras  using thes in hunt  who show stubbornness, outside Nishadha city  gathered.

 

11)Nala emperor who was famous in moon family, became prepared for hunting.He wore new new rathna ornaments.Wore divine clothes.applied sandal excetra  fragrance materials  to body. Made to bring horses which run equal to speed of air,and rised.Arny of hunter moved in groups and groups.sWith innumeranle  instrumental announcements, as though land getting cut,(split) Nala went forward.

 

12)KingWhat shall I say!Hunters entered forest. Sorrounded animal groups.Can those animals face hunters? By  cross from upahathi(evil,blow,anger,hurt) of  those valients, they jumped and flied.Hunters  hit elephants and made to fall. According to hunting, gathering group, tiger,bear,musu,rabhit, monkey excetra all animals, obstructed across  hit and made to fall.

 

13)Hunters rising to tip of  mountain,in trees group, threw nets.Making animals to run  jumped forward.Then one strong lion  getting angry necoming spark,roaring, making to fall hunters group, was coming forward.On seing that king,as though forest itself wondering, following that lion(animal king), cut.

 

14)Nala stopped hunting.Along with group  which was tired b y hunting, entered flower garden present in that town. His  separation increased.Joy lessened.He who underwent mind pain(sorrow),getting down into lake, washed knees and lower thighs.But still mind not getting consoled, started to  wander in forest.

 

15)In garden’s pond bank  trees had grown dense.There under one tree, new flowers had dispersed and fallen.At that place brahma god’s  horse  was sleeping deeply.There only as though place to good feature  clen light’s swan Nala found.

 

16) Beak and feet of that king swan were red.feather and body were white.like this better brightness shining  swan  Nala king saw and wondered.”shiva shiva!god only knows it’s beauty” telling like this with love slowly stretching hand caught swan.

 

17)sWhen king caught swan  flied shaking off.Then holdingit tightly so as not to shake,it seing his lotus face, got afraid.Apart from  chest melting  words told to king like this.”to intoxicated elephant, will a mosquito  yield?is it possible to kill who have reached hand ?(sadaradavaru......?).

 

18)”to lions beating elephants, to kill fox  is it a big job?To you to kill me is it a big task?enough.let it be like that.If you kill me all those who  haveseen it, laughing so as to produce stomach ulcer, will they not insult you? Fearful to enemies,to king enemies is king’s ethics.You who are king, to kill me who is little it is not proper to kill.leave.to violate others is sinful.”like this bird told.

 

19)Swan continued”king, while giving feast to poor man  will one pot milk enough?If snow falls  will pond fill up?king,If you eat me will you get satisfied?Leave me. If I am not there in house upset of wife and children can’t be told”like this sorrowd.

 

20)”those who have climbed tree,who has rised huttha(snake house),one who shows politeness in war,whose weapon is cut,those who are in empty hands,those who  get down into water  and stand,sfemales, those who are hiden,those who run away, and those who are in deep sleep is it justified to kill?”swan asked like this.

 

21)Nala on listening to words of swan shyed. He felt happy with it’s behaviour.”bird,I did not catch you for killing. You can go to your house”telling like this, as soon as he left it, it shaking nit’s wings flied away.But again returning, sitting by side of king, started to talk with politeness.

 

22)”king you helped me by saving prana(life).I will also help you”like this, whwn swan bird told,king”whatis that? Questioned like this.to that swan,who can know theme(saara,summary),give attention to my words which I tell in detail.See in this world  except you s such supreme punya(merit)  is there to whom?”told.

 

23)Swan continued”king, from here at distance  there is a place called vidarbha, city which is equal to  devaloka(divine world).To it’s king Bhima  there is a daughter called Damayanthi. She is very punyaholder.Above all great beauty.skilled,shee has gait like thatof elephant’s walk,has good character treasure, droplets(dizlings) of beauty.

 

24)”It is not possible for me to praise beauty of Damayanthi.In thought very wonderful fact.She who is youthful, what laughing face she has!crossing shine of gold, flashing,bogase(joined palms)like eyes!Thin her waist  region what!,sharp  and long   what  nails? She who  is stylish, by her youth’s shape and requests, by shining is producing joy.s

 

25)”Among women on earth,In females of Amaravathi,  in lasses in pathala(bottom world), no body was equal t Damayanthi.You are very beautiful in shape.To such you  she only is matching.Therefore to become her belove husband  you only are suitable.nobody else is seen”.

 

26)I will make her to like you. I have grace of god. I don’t know two words.Kingmkeep faith in my words”like this when swan bird toldNalaking slightly laughed.He was attracted by beautiful words of swan.Apart from that, due to hurry(anxiety) separation, without keeping quiet, told to that bird with shy.

 

27)”bird, I was  pained due to  Manmatha’s arrow.I can’t bear this body pain.please kindly making that lass as wife save my life.you only are my supreme relative. Make my mind to feel  happy.Till you and come I will be here only”told.

 

28) Dharmaja,swan  departing from king,starting from forest lovefully directly with air speed flied away.Having delicate parts like creeper Damayanthi’s would be  husband  as though extention of  fame has happened that swan flying to sky seing vidarbha  got down there.

 

29)Vidarbha city having  mansions built by  gold and rathnas,with people masses, gardens,and streets was shining.In that beautiful city of Vidarbha, Manmatha’s arrows sharp  flow tiring Damayanthi  swan saw.Lasses were serving her freely along with relatives.

 

30) constructed with pacche crystals, walls,series of lines of pillars made out of diamond,by slab of green stones,with pearl roofs,havala’s carved  pillars bodige(a supportive piece given between pillar and roof),by lines and  lines of beads, added in mantap she sitting  on cot,doing meditation upon Nala ,with friends Damayanthi swan saw.

 

31)Damayanthi  whom the  swan bird saw was having moon like forehead.Had kept kasthuri bottu.In neck had worn  pearl necklace.Had worn rathna fixed  figure ring. Had worn golden  hand bangles. Various kinds of folded saree leg bangles she had worn.Like this beauty of decorations crossing border was remaining.Such Damayanthi  lasses were surrounding standing.

 

32) Shining in rainy cloud  flashes bunch as though,swans geting down from sky to land, sat in that meet where women had gathered. As soon as they sat, swan fell to  lotus like eye of Damayanthi.Damayanthi on seing lasses there, appreciating bird,describing  tried to catch.

 

33)Keeping steps slowly  damayayanthi stretched her hand which was like  bud.Her leg bangles(kadaga) was making sound ‘ghlughalu.at that time that bird moving that and this side,without standing at onle place started to go. Rushing into garden where there are  new jasmine flowers bush’s towards new group ’ entered.

 

34)Damayanthi pushing her friends aside, she only entered bush.When she bent to catch the bird, her thin waist bent. Due to heaviness of breasts , saree sliped.Head knot dispersed. She who is  water faced, sweated with tiredness. Beautiful Ekavali garland, shook.At end Damayanthi, correcting her saree border, sighing with tiredness, stood.

 

35)Swan”beauty, you desiring to catch me, if you  showd   stubbornness

In mind.It is of no use. Leave that.Know that we are birds flying in sky. We can’t be caught by you. Simply won’t get tired.I will inform cause for which I have come.listen”told.

 

36) I Am with Nala emperor  as his vehicle. He with joy  talking very much lovely  talks, protects me. His extraordinary beauty I can’t say.Famous in land  Nalakhubara  and jayanth beauty ,beauty of Manmatha, it’s beauty was  lowering.

 

37)  “beauty of Nala is matching to this your beauty.Nobody is equal to him in the world.Therefore you two only are equal.” Like this swan bird told,listening to these words good charectered  Damayanthi  bowd head to that bird with thanks.

 

38)”Bird you are good charectered ,prohibited(bahishkrutha.,outcasted?)  sinner kama without having even a thil much of kindness,throwing flower arrow,,injuring your body, pained.Now I can’t tolerate.”Heat of this body  should be cooled by  flow of your kindness rasa.like this you should request Nala emperor.Like this Damayanthi requested.

 

39)Damayanthi with swan,”if you help  to remove sorrow of others, high punya(merit) is got.”like this elders tell.”hey my relative, you should treat me.By separation don’t make me  to shed tears.protect me told.

 

40)Damayanthi withoutstoping told like this”I am pained due to strong fire of separation.Due to it’s heat my body  has dried up.All joy melted. Wandering increased. Power reduced.why more talk?now high king Nala is my husband only.Apart from that , all remaining males of the world are equal to my father.”

44) King by face sign(mukhacharye), thought in mind Damayanthi might have liked me. He who grasped like that, with joy”did you see Damayanthi? What did she say?what is her mind openion.”on asking like this, with smile  bird started to tell.

 

45)”king,Leave doubt in your mind.For fulfilment of your desire  make to build a temple. The desired which you desired got fulfilled. 49)On that in vidarbha , Damayanthi indulged in  worry of Nala only.On this side to Nala flame of separation increased.Like this both Nala and Damayanthi  became sorrowful.Manmatha who produced pain to both , is really sinner. But kindful his father, Sri Hari showd grace to both.

Nala king In beautiful city of Vidarbha  city  of Bhima king,marrying Damayanthi,shining with moon light along with his wife  returned to his Nishadha city.

1)Romesha mentioned Dharmaraja  and told”dharmaraja, on hearing news of  beauty treasure of Nala only  Damayanthi’s condition became like this.When  she sees his body parts  how her separation pain will increase!Now her tongue has dried up.She left sleeping  on cot only.It is not possible to tell how much is her worry.

 

2)Damayanthi was not at all getting sleep. Mind did not enquire.Though other famales  wandered to get her side, due to mind sorrow ‘Nalaking has come Once peeps and sees.When not seen  remembers  and cries again. Her friends on seing it, started to think within themselves.

 

3)”Damayanthi is  striked by separation pain.This matter we should inform to king Bhima”like this friends  thought immediately  came to king  and informed king about condition(stage) of his daughter.”king,On that dat day high poet had  praised king Nala in durbar.On listening that Damayanthi has become victim of  separation. Bhima king  request of daughter’s friends with smile. On hearing full youth’s news “who is fit husband for  daughter?”like this indulging in thoughts, came  to durbar. Making to write letters  sent to kings of countries countries.  Announced through dangura for all kings to come.

 

5)Ambassiders went to kings of all four directions.According to order of Bhima ling decorated  vidarbha city. Made to bring new new substances from, new new materials from treasury.Apart from that with much grandeur  constructed marriage mantap vastly.

 

6)So as to twinkle mira mira  constructed Damayanthi’s marriage mantap, pillars made uo pf elephant Ivories were  shining.Covering roof  cloth by lines of dolls, was shining.Bud featoons  were twinkling. Swinging in roof  lines and lines of  beauty of aralele( flowers...?) was looking fine.

 

7)By lines and lines of streets, by sprinkling of fragrance materials,by kasthuri,by emittence of pannir, constructed by  fragranceful kumkum  by colourful lines,by leaf festoons,by golden plates, in decorated streets, dense prostitutes(jaara females), vidarbha city started to shine.

 

8)suddenlyMalava,Andhra,kalinga,kosala,chola,mathsya,varala,konkana,goula,kunthala,magadha,Barbara,pamdya,Karnataka,laaala,vanga,sourastra,Sourastea,kuru,Nepala,Ghurjra,Sindhu, panchala, excetras  countries all  kings came to vidarbha.

 

9)In earth  present upto horizon, kings of kings, Brahmins,yogies,jnanies,good people(gentleman), wrestlers,ministers, crown wearing kings,high rushies,scholars,prominent poets,actors, singers(vocalists),vidyadharas, and joises, gathered in innumerable number.

 

10)On this side in devaloka(divine world,godsworld), to assembly (meet) of Devndra’HariHari vasudeva!’ like this, playing  veena  with hands, with muni group  Narada came.Then Devndra seing arrival of Narada, welcomed happily.Making him to sit on throne  joining hands requested like this.

 

11)Indra with Narada,”Munishwara  from where did you come? On earth among bkings honourable,truthful, religious, chasteful(pious), who is there?what are special qualities? If you inform in detail  very helpful.when told, devarshi Narada laughing in mind only, answered him.

 

12)Narada told like this”Devndra on earth,there are many kings.To tell with you, to Vidarbha city  emperor Bhima  king, lotus like faced, beautiful daughter is there. Youthful she for svayamvara(self selection of  groom), many kings through  out length and breadth of earth are coming.

 

13)”in Vidarbha city, gathered ,to tell about all kings, whole town is filled with kings.Requesters(beggers) from  local(native) and foreign are coming. Without stopping. To see such grand  marriage  I am going to see’like this king  narada lifted up to his hand.Rised his vehicle swan went to vidarbha.

 

14)Devndra on listening words of narada muni, separation  pain striked.Suddenly making divine dames to come, informed  fact.”Damayanthi  is upper  laas. By serving her you should make her to love me”telling like this, giving them better  materials,giving prizes to them sent to Damayanthi.

 

15)Indra making to bring  best chariot,rised and sat.few  among  direction maintainers (dikpalakas),yama,varuna,air, with these started from Amaravathi. While getting down and coming to earth, in mid way beautiful like Manmatha, beautiful emperor  he saw.All of them who saw liking in mind, with grace appeared to Nala in suitable form.

 

16)Getting down to earth,like sun light, great Devndra, excetras on seing, Nala getting down from chariot,joining hands with devotion, stood. They also like seing buding out  of joy, pulling king near, embraced tightly.sSeing his beauty  danced with joy and appreciated.

 

17)Devndra “Nala emperor, are you safe? Come this side. Your father was born in moon family. Last one veerasena king, is our close friend.Nala, There is a work with you for which I have to request.With the belief that that work will be fulfilled only  we have come.your meet to me  I feel as though fruit is got.You have to do one help tome”told.

 

18)Nala is Devndra with Devndra, you who sit and move on Airavatha, you should listen to my words a little.I am human.Where am I who is human?where are you who is god?We are not equal to you.To me darshan of your lotus feet happened. I am lucky. Became happy. I will do as you inform”on telling like this, Devndra listening to his words, told like this with laugh.

 

19):Among females on earth, Damayanthi is extraordinary  beauty.on hearing these words  my mind is attracted to her.You go to that beauty with love,telling suitable words,she should be made helpful”like this Devndra requested.

 

20)Indra did not stop his words   to there onlyintroducing those who were with him,”this is south Adhipathi(lord) yama,I am Devndra,on this side is west direction’s lord  varuna,He is  north west(vayuvya ) lord,Such dikpalakas(direction maintainers) are only here.Honouring our request  you should help us.At this moment only,for the achievement of work, now we will give  power to become invisible.But you should do  so that Damayanthi loves  go”told.

 

21)As soon as listening words of Devndra, Nala became very sorrowful. He “while Damayanthi is worshiping  Nala  only to become her husband,to me also mind  happened(desire came).When it is so, by which tongue shall I tell her to become wife to Devndra?”like this worried.

Their birth charecterstic is that they will never leave telling false(lieing).They have no self intellect.Due to fickle mind, they will talk deceiving you onlyWill not keep secret. They show valience  stealing  ornaments  excetras  of favourable.

 

25)Women(females) will not consider(count) death.sI mind they can’t plan of truthful fact.love false only. In some way they talk  without acceptable to mind.They have no good behaviour.For truth they will touch fire also.When it is so how to believe females?telling like this went off.

 

26)Nala stopped army there only. With no success in mind  went to Vidarbha.gradually vidarbha city came near.In that town light of rathna was enlighting.lines and lines of upstair houses were there. Buds were shining thala thala.On fort wall there were dooms.Sorrounded fort  and seing all those, entered vidarbha city.

 

27)Nala king passing  through city, came to door of palace. On both sides of that door, guards holding weapons  watchman valients were  were standing. Women were wandering that and this side with celebration.Seing those Nala  disappearing without showing body, entered inside palace.

 

28)Damayanthi was sitting, at that time,having peculiar doorsin upstairs  on swinging cot, was sitting on bed. Around her  friends were sitting.,due to hit of Manmatha  yilded(underwent)  Damayanthi, was listening  all stories.

 

29)At the same time  came females sent by Devenvra.When they were keeping steps slowly,keeping all things as gift in front of Damayanthi, joined hands and stood.Then Damayanthi saw them and told,”from where did you come?What is the cause of coming?”like this asked.To that they with slight laugh,with politeness told with her like this.

 

30)”mother ,Devndra hearing about your extraordinary beauty,undergoing pain of Manmatha, pained baked has sent us to you.Our request is this much only.You may wear any number of ornaments you want.For that you have to marry Devndra who is lord of gods. To  tell more, these kings of this deathful(marthya) world are not amaras(deathless). Don’t keep hope in them”

 

31)Rambhes of divine word laughing,”Damayanthi,In world is there anything called better condition ?If there is is it better than god’s post?you only think and see.Is there any acquaintance  of  god’s post? No, because it is not available to them.you have got it by punya(merit,good deed).So give words that you will become wife to  Devndra”told.

 

32) Without stoping to that much, Rambhes  making Damayanthi to accept,”Due to fragrance of flower,bees will get attracted and come. Flowers will not go  to  bees.In the  same way, you go near Devndra, he only comes to with love.Such great person,has come to you.If he comes is it not  your punya?told.

 

33)Damayanthion listening to words of divine lasses, answered like this”my mind is fixed on  a male.To pull and remove  is not possible for Vishnu also.Let it be,to your Devndra when there are divine dames  myself who is human female is not good.When it is so to me who is deathful(marthya), wasteful desire is not needed.

 

34)Divine lasses returned from  Damayanthi.By that time high king Nala  coming there, by his mind joy getting own natural form, appeared brightfully like moon.On seing that Damayanthi  who is he?Manmatha with extraordinary beauty?belove Nala?Kubera’s son Nalakubara? Or moon’s son jayantha? Wondered like this.

 

35)Damayanthi who wondered with joy rising up welcomes with other women.Doing namaskarams with politeness, made to siit on throne.Bringing pearls and rathnas  with joy gave giftLater moving aside gathered  group of lasses, by her melodious talk, started to talk.

 

36)Damayanthi with Nala “who are you?from where did you come? For which you have come?When our royal door is very secured, how did you enter it?to  this place where there are princesses  nobody will get boldness.When it is so,you who have come crossing it,you are very valiant.Apart from that handsome also”when she told like this, Nala with smile, spoke with her  smoothly.

 

37)”young las, I am spy of Devebdra.Devarshi  Narada  informed about your extraordinary beauty ,to Devndra.On listening that  melting with burn of separation, sorrowing due to hit of kama’s  arrow  has come here.you should become his wife” told.Then Damayanthi turned her face   away with negligence.

What is profit by this?Why matter of Indra who is husband of Shachidevi?”that talk is enough, To me Nala king is only husbabd.no other beloveds on earth.one more talk.Some how you are not appearing like gods.sWhat is your name?will you inform me?”like this Damayanthi told her decision.

 

39)To words of Damayanthi Nala “why do you search family and lineage(gothra) in Spys? What if who they are?Indra who is going to marry you is famous. Such a person to love you  is due to your punya(merit).Apart from that, are people of  world  are they better than gods?Not at all. In humams that much of love to you?leave that worry only. Marry Devndra and be happy.”like this compelled.

 

40)Nala again told like this.Humans  who take birth on earth, will they be  equal to gods to whom heaven is house?Ayyo your intellect. 41)Damayanthi with anger,”you don’t know about Nala king. He is honourable among emperors. Truthful.good charectered,holy in moon family,above all emperor.To him who is king, Manus,munies,demons,gods, anybody  are they be  equal to him.why do you need this bad habit of  blaming him?”

 

42)At end Damayanthi telling her last decision, “king of Nishadha  Nala himself is my  husband,I have decided it.If he by showing kindness upon me  if he accepts me as wife it is good.In case if it does not happen so, I will leave prana for him.Let my this desire ggive fruit. Telling like this, she wiped her tears with her figure tip.

 

43)On listening to words of Damayanthi  to knig Nala chest shook.On seing her firm decision  his kindness creeper buded out.Immedeately  with her”lotus faced, I am only king Nala” when he told she  bent her head with shyness.Damayanthi doubting  asked again.

 

44)”gods are deceivers, thay know various kinds of talks. We of earth  are uncultured(prakrithas). When it is so how shall I believe you?If you have mind sign which I believe.”when told, Nala told showing an example.

 

45)Nala”Damayanthi,To know intention of your heart I told I am god. But really I am not god. What is wrong in telling Animisha? Why are you doubting in mind? If you want darshan(vision) you see,for ambassadorship I only sent Swan. You know it.By knowing this you can believe me.he told.

 

46) As soon as fact of swan messenger was told, Damayanthi’s body expanded with romance.Her heart  became under both joy and fear.She without standing ther, disappearing in group of friends, went away from there.On this side Nala also  returned. Paining with mind sorrow,  came to Devndra quickly.

 

47)Nala with fear getting afraid,came to Devndra,air(vayu),yama, and varuna doing  namaskarams,described all told by Damayanthi.Then they”Nalaking  there is no any kind of curvedness(konkuthana)in you.All matters we came to know through divine lasses.”like this consoled feared Nala.s

 

48)Indra excetras again “Nala full mind of females is filled with  wickedness(kuthanthra).sy whom it is possible to know?Some how you got tired for our sake.likee this telling formal words  with joy giving ornaments ,giving prize,sent off Nala.But regarding Damayanthi,without stoping that matter there only, Indra,yama,air  all of three discussed among themselves  about further program.

 

49)Indra excetras  thinking  how to get favour (love) of Damayanthi It is better  to wear form of Nala only,deciding like this, all four wore  shape of Nala emperor.While running like this  on this side, on that side  kings were coming  to vidarbha from one side with celebration.Fron another side,from heaven and earth world(marthya loka) gentlemen(sajjanas),siddhas,kinnaras,guhyakas,garuda,gandharvas

 excetras  gods were coming.

 

50)In vidarbha innumerable number of kings came and gathered.Elephants,horses,chariots,foot soldiers army gathered.Cone(shankha,Maddale,thamate,dundubhi, bheri, excetras instruments shined. All gathered densely so that it was impossible for Bhima king  to manage.

 

It is impossible to describe gathered  kings there.

 

51)King Bhimawelcomed kings without politeness in a way suitable to  positions of arrived persons.Treating with suitable honour,nformed to sit. To kings gathered in assembly hall(durbar)  according to their suitability, honoured.

 

52)sIn dirbar of Vidarbha king, on one side  thalamaddale(beat maddale) was running. On another side juiceful dance was taking place.In another place  music anf literature groups(gosties) were running.on other side recital of prose and poetry was running. In another place on another side program of jest and funs were thre. discussions(debates) were running.

 

53)on that side  women applied  oil to Damayanthi. Singing sobane songs  produced happiness. Appleying fragrance material,did various kinds of treatment.they carried her to  bath room for bath with much joy.

 

54) Females added pannir  to golden vessel(kadayi).Filling water  pouring on Damayanthi, completed bath. Later applied fragrance emitting clean sandal  by rubbing.

 

55)Around Damayanthi  ladies gathered.maid servents thambula bag,chamara(fan),kalasha vessels  were holding.coming on left and right sides  harem’s guards(watchmens), were admiring  A group of females was oing on front side. as ‘ughe’. Following themas lakshmidevi comes to white lotus, Damayanthi came to marriage mantap.

 

56) broad eyed geautiful head frame,thin waist by these  attracting mind only, by style and fancy,by play of breasts which are like golden vessels,,by celebration of  cloth decorations,by  jhana jhana sound of tjhose ornaments,keeping steps slowly,to coming walk pouring sweat  a little, that Damayanthi  along with friends came to marriage mantap.

 

57)As soon as Damayanthi came to   marriage mantap father Bhima king  with her daughter “wearing various  rathnas shining crowns  many kings  of  kings  have sat on throne.See this side, Among kings who have sat in two lines to neck of whom you like, put this flower garland.”like this  gave new necklace.

 

58) Damayanthi holding flower garland in her hand entered durbar hall.Then  her friend explainging  introduction of all those with joy, moved forward. The dense population which gathered to see  celebration with curiosity, those holding sticks in their hand were pushing aside.The kings  shown by friends Damayanthi saw with  with shyness.

 

59) Friends  showing  various kins to Damayanthi, He is king of Malava country,he is Magadha king, he is king of Mathsya country. He is kuru king.he is Nepala king.He is king of kosala,he is Barbara,this is chola king,He only is Sindhu king,this only is neela,This is king of kalingahe is kunthala king. 60) While Damayanthi came by seing  each one by one,,among kings who had sat,”Damayanthi has liked me,few”she  recognised and showd me” like this they told themselves. Few were seing with thief like vision.Few”by eye brow she guestured,” told. Still few  told to themselves”By slant vision, she saw me”.

 

61)Few kings spoke prideful words  in  mouth. Damayanthi seing all kings,moving forward saw four   four people who were like Nala.Suddenly”This is only  deceiving. I don’t about their facts”telling like this,I don’t know any facts about these”telling like this, returning came to her harem(anthahpura)

 

62)Damayanthi seing all emperors, without accepting anybody,refusing them, returning  her father Bhimaraja saw and came near his daughter. He troubling her very much, when asked about cause of returning,then she told all cheating facts On listening this, king who had active intellect  remembered Saraswathi.

 

 

63)Bhima king meditating on saraswathi,”mother Saraswathi, you are speech godess.you have worn lotus flower in hand, brahma’s wife,,have knot like snake,punya form,accepting namaskarams from  godds group,truthful,rathna like to females,You who is called girvani  should protect  us with kindness” like this requested by joining hands.

 

64) As soon as Bhimaking remembered,daughter in law of Sri Vishnu,,holy in world,  getting worshiped by gods, devi form,giving dependence to  evotees and surrendered, saraswathi came there.sAs she came”king,today why do you  meditated upon me? What is to happen by me?”asked like this.King doing namaskarams to both lotus  feet, started to tell.

 

65)“Girvani,you are appreciated in Vedas,on us who does not know anything emiting grace vision protect. When innumerable number of  gathered in marriage function, to know all we have decome unable(incapable). Daughter Damayanthi’s mind is upset.Some four members made her to fear” when requested like this.Saraswathi calling Damayanthi, by treating told.

 

66)”Damayanthi, this deceiving by gods.therefore you should worship  and serve”.As soon as Saraswathi told like this, Damayanthi coming to  function(assemble) where there are honourables. She did namaskarams with devotion.Apart from that,”you are all born in god’s family.You should consider me  you holy  shoud show kindness towards  on this as daughter and protect”prayed like this. 

 

67)Suddenly yama,vayu(air),varuna, and Indras  left their  disguises(disguised dresses).Later Devndra gracing  admiring  Damayanthi wilfully, made marriage of Nala  king happen.Apart from that showered flower rains. Played god dundubhi(drum),Then Damayanthi put garland in her hand to  neck of Nala.

 

68) Then only Bhima king invited munies  with joy.they blessed  to wife and husband  Nala Damayanthi.Kept akshatha on head.As Brahmins were reciting, manthras  dhare(auspicious moment of handing over bride to groom) celebration took place.Lasses sang shobane songs  with style.

 

69)Divine lasses  enlighted mangalarathi to Nala.rishies blessed  “become greay vvalient”.Devndra giving beautiful clothes and ornaments  with suitable hospitality ,  was sent off.He went off with divine lasses.

 

70)Marraiage completed. Fifth day came. On that day made to fill  pannir  in  a large vessel(hande).Mixed kumkuma. Lasses on this and that enda(tips)  stood and played  throwing played okuli. Then that mangala water  spilling,played okuli(colour water).Due to this fragrance spread to all four directions. Gods danced with joy.

 

71) After completion of pond bathing celebration, Bhima king  his relative,kings,ministers, main rushies, singers, scholars, Brahmins,,bhikshus  honoured  so as to rise joy.Apart from that,  elephants,horses,dress, honoured them and sent off.

 

72)Vidarbha king  honoured son in law with royal treatment.To  daughter  shining rathna ornaments filled box,elephants horses excetra four part army,lasses  for  friendship and service gaveas gift. Later Nala king  along with his army, telling good words, along with group of appreciaters, went to nishadha.

 

73)Nala in good lagna  rising beadful chariot, along with wife Damayanthi  came to Nishadha city.While coming like that, as mangala(good) indicater, batch batch of shankha(cones),mridanga,nagaries,  were sounded.Playing Bheries  blowing instruments, sonded.

 

74)Like this grandeur and celebrations, Nala came and entered  his palace.later along with all, rised throne.Along with  minister and wife seing citizens (people) with love ruled state.

Nala king  by gambling with is younger brother ,getting defeated,losing all, along with Damayanthi  went to forest. On seing that all town people pitied.

 

1)Romasha rushi, told to Dharmaraya”high among kings,Nishadha king Nala’s richness developed.Kings of seven Islands were  honouring his lotus  by bending head.  His fame spread in three worlds.

 

2)Emperor started to sine with wealth. To him I Damayanthi one son and one daughter were born. They all used to spend time very happily.On that side  at vidarbha  all people gathered for marriage of Damayanthi, after completion of marriage  along with kings reached their their towns.

 

3)Devndra leaving vidarbha city, praising charecters of Damayanthi, with dikpalakas(direction maintainers) was coming to Amaravathi.Then on the path to all of them, curved intellect’s,themeless  kalipurushas  meet happened.

 

4)having head with curley hairs,bending neck, having reddened  eye  face ,leaving  torn beareddue hairs fallen here there, ,making to grow red coloured mustache, wearing dirty dress,on his both sides  making to stand  fearful soldiers, rising chariot of steel, coming kalipurusha  looking at Devndra, with slight laugh , came in front.

 

5)Kalipurusha asked Devndra”who are you? Indra who has killed pride?who are rhese?yama varuna excetra dikpalakas? Wher are you going?” on asking like this Devndra  with smile”we had gone to  to marriage of Nala and Damayanthi  and came?”told like this.on listening to hhis words kalipurusha became spark spark.

 

6)”you who are gods, more stronger than humans ,to accept  that   lass  being unable, Akata! You have to that Nala and come! What shall I call you? Let go, give me permission and send. I will fulfil your desires”when kalapurusha  told like this, Devndra laughed and told.

 

7)Indra along with kalipurusha ,”kalipurusha, you told good words. You have this much of adventure?But one word. After all these happened ,we won’t love Damayanthi.Her husband  Nala king is  decorative to all kings and great valiant. It is impossible to defeat even by brahma.when it is so what will happen by you?”told.

 

8) On hearing words of indra , to kalipurusha anger rised to head top(netthi). He told” you should understand me properly. Abba! God, In front of sun who is  lord of the day, trouble of dark? Who is equal to me? I will bring that woman  with cheating.By cheating i will bring, that woman. Apart from that by spoiling  Nala king only, and send to forest and see”

 

9)”thrimurthies brahma Vishnu maheshwara also,humans, nagara,gods,yakshas,kinnaras, eagle(Garuda) gandharvas  without leaving  I will reduce their power.When it is so , what is great  work  in spoiling Nala?Devndra in any world  nobody opposite to me.you know this”.

 

10)”Devndra , you have no maleness you were simply seing and sitting. Therefore Nala got that lass. To you who are low among purushas (men) Why dress of celibants(brahmacharies)? Give it to me I will make that Damayanthi as tour throne queen”like this  kalipurusha  roared with Devndra with madness and pride.

 

11) hearing prideful words of Kalipurusha,”shiva shiva,  listen to prideful words? Shantham papam”like this all of them  closed ears. To stiff (harsh) words spoken in front of gods, Devndra  becoming unconsoled, burning by anger becoming  burning charcoal,”Don’t speak wrong. This method is not suitable to you. What is suitability of Nala! To that king who is equal to Vishnu, to think wicked is it right? Like this opposed.

 

12)Devndra without stopping started to praise Nala.”why this much of difficulty? That Nala is born in moon family,residence gentlemen(sajjanas),Very famous among kings, always free intellect, apart from that pure, To such who uncomparable(upamathitha), we have given boons. One who always remembers him, his sin will be destroyed.To that world lord who is equal to 

h im on earth?”

 

13)As Devndra praised Nala, anger of kali rised.”when once i become stubborn I will achieve at any cost. Therefore Nishadha king Nala  I will make him to run to forest without leaving  surely. You keep quiet”like this when he shouted dikpalakas shook.Devndra “He is  mere fool. He is a wicked  who does not leave held stubbornness.telling like this, with boredom, without dealy went to Amaravathi.

 

14)very low kalipurusha  came  down to earth.To his servents it is not easy to arrest Nala. Jayalakshmi has graced him .In  behaviours and wicked charecters  are not in him. Good chastity is residing in him.” Telling ike this  entered Nishadha city.

 

15) In state of Nala emperor  where ever seen, there  were forests of jasmine and champakas. Everywhere kedage flowers were found.Around there were rudrakshies. There were  lakes  decorated by lotus flowers. There were bilvapathras trees.Sugar cane grapes were grown in plenty.Dates excetra all things were there.Without these there was no barren land  anywhere in the state.

 

16)People living in country of Nala  were not telling no to to those who begged.They will not leave their methods customs traditions. Will not talk challenging (pantha)words. They don’t know to tell  false. Pure,well wishers to all, Religious persons not knowing anger.

 

17)sIn Nala’s state wives will not cheat  their husbands. Children will listen to words of their father. Have kept mind in behaviour and  varnashrama dharma(religion).In god’s devotion, in performance of vows rules, they were behaving as acceptable to people.

 

18)Kalipurusha came to Nishadha city.Without bringing to knowledge of city people, with dress in disguise, like ghost wandered in streets and streets. When Vishnu devotees were found  he was appearing as ethical person,troubling bad people, came to palace of Nala.

 

19)Kali turned around and saw.There were many coconut trees . Near various kinds of high treesAppearing beautifully to eye, city gardens street, very much grown,present  on  ekke(Arka?) plant, waiting for day of spoiling Nala  was spending time.

 

20)  On this side in palace, Nalaking arranged  japas(chantings),worships, and sacrifices(homas).For that sake invited important muniees. Making Brahmins to come, honoured. Daily did god’s santharpanas(mass offering of food). Though this much was done, due to karma bondage   of his past life?to such  king bad days came.

 

21)One day Nala   without doing  pure achamana , doing little celebration, drank water on standing. On seing that Kalipurusha,thinking that it is suitable time to trouble Nala   came with joy and met Nala.pity! is it possible to avoid  fate control?

 

22)Kali wore dress of Brahmin. To spoil stuntless Nala,thinking like tis, went to Pushkara.Clever kali  showing desire to pushkara ,making him mad, told like this.”on listening that you are friend of Nala  I have come to you. You should not be afraid of ill fame. If you don’t get afraid all state(kingdom) you will get.”  

 

23)“Do you know who I am?I am very strong in whole world. Name is kalipurusha.Come ,playing gambling with Nala  I will make you to win in pagade play(a chess like game). Don’t dis agree to this. If you agree I will make you as king of  this state.Let us go come, Don’t consider this as false.Iwill pull and throw away king Nala.have faith in my words”told.

 

24)  Wicked pushkara believed words of Pushkara.The talk that  kali  will make him as king resided in his mind.He accepted to do as told by kalipurusha aand went with him.Both of them went to Nala who was like  image of thejas(brightness) of Vishnu, with celebration.

 

25)when kali and pushkara came to  durbar hall, Nala wa sitting on yhrone (mantap)which was  shining with brightness of  gold and rathna, along with other kings group. On his left and rightside,  lasses standing, admiring by telling awards and medals, were fanning.Then pushkara joining hands  slightly laughing  told to king like this.

 

26)”king, This Brahmin has  given as gift  two bright  pagades(dice).I also have desire of playing pagade. Therefore we shall make to bring  pagade bead let us play,But one thing.”if anybody gets defeated  he has to go to forest  leaving state  with his wife”

 

27)”Emperor, when you are so much happy mind should not be shortened, these are all challenges of kings?for war,for hunting, for gambling  to hesitate when invited is not king’s dharma(religion).Therefore let us play”like this, joined hands and told.

 

28)sajjanas(gentlemen),good man, Nala how will he know the feel hiden in heart of pushkara?He praised words of pushkara wullfully.Right gambling started.Kalipurusha by difference technique(bhedopaya),through stunt obstacles , making pushkara to become winner in half a minute, made to give many things.

 

29)Nala threw dice,two and five numbers did not come.However put only  two,itthige was falling.As a result of it, in first game  wicked pushkara won. Therefore Nala lost  various kinds of Rathnas, money and grains  excetra  delephants,horses,chariots,innumerable better things.

 

30)Nala by gambling lost state and  treasury. Due to bad luck,  wicked’s hands won. Due to failure Nala’s face dried up. Gentlemen in meet seing this,”why did king go for gamblingBy playing due to bad fate, pity(papa)|failed” like this pitied.

 

31)”king, what more all finished. King treasury, things materials  came on my part. Next what will you keep as challenge(pantha)?tell” like this when pushkara asked, Nala thinking”I will keep my wife only as pana(challenge). I will win what is defeated(lost)” like this decided in my mind.

 

32) A well wisher purohitha, who was seing all these,  his chest melting with sorrow, without keeping quiet, went to ranivasa(anthahpura,harem).Noting Damayanthi is in  meet  went tnere directly.There sat on shining rathna peeta. Along with lasses  with joy shining seing her,requested.

 

33)”great mother, Our king got defeated in gambling.Pushkara won all state easily.Mother,don’t get pained in mind. All our treasures  were lost. Next your condition  you will only know.”like this brahmana joined hands and requested.

 

24) As it happens when  snow falls on lotus flowers, ,on hearing that  sorrowful news, Damayanthi’s face dried up. She” If vishnu’s kindness shield  gets teared,  What others can do? God, curved intellect’s  pushkara, did he got this much anger”like this cried.

 

35)Damayanthi”Did  Nala emperor, losing state  became  wandering condition?” telling like this coming  to place where there was Nala,came to know his mind openion.  Like a sun caught in   thamasa  guna of Rahu, looking charmless  king, hadened mind.Joining  hands to her husband, started to hill.

 

36)Damayanthi told to Nala “You are like moon to moon family.,you are fearful to  enemy kings, Have thejas(brightness) like sun, why did this habit(addiction,obsession) of  this gambling held?Shiva shiva! Yhis ia all that vishnu’s maye That pushkara  made you to defeat! For all fate is cause. What is in our hand”.like this she showd  her anxiety(attention).

 

37)sOn hearing words of Damayanthi, those who had gathered in meet”pushkara you are  rejected(outcasted,bahishkrutha). Enough your pagade play,stop your destrubutions,”like this shouting, scolded. Then like path missed deer, falling into net of hunter, Nala’s condition became. When it happened like this, told to his wife like this.

 

38)Nala looking at his wife Damayanthi,”see,saree border of defeat is already held, State (state lakshni)is given to others. What is remaining is this body only.Don’t be afraid for having happened like this. You who are in step of youth,,in forests,in hills caves,how will you struggle without gap conyineeously?Ayyo shiva? Like this sighed.

 

39) Damayanthi consoling  king”who is like  headbead  to moon family, Begetted fathers mothers ,wife and children,house,housenews,relatives,kings,excetras,these are source of joy and treasure. But those  treasures are not permanent. Body joy is impermanent(temporary). In have no faith in it.” Without leaving truth, as truthful protect me”told.

 

40)Damayanthi telling there is no need to sorrow  returned to her harem(Anthahpura). On seing that pushkara” you  have  got  defeated in gambling. After  getting defeated,how can you stay in state?” when questioned like this,  .  kind Naala became prepared to go to forest dwelling.

 

41)Nala threw beadful dresses which he was wearing. Along with Damayanthi  did namaskarams to feet og kulaguru(family guru). Later left palace and went. Town people on seing this, came batches  by batches,covered Nala Damayanthi. On seing condition of their king in eye flood of tears flowd They shouted. Shouting increased  whole town filled with sorrow.

 

42)Servents who were serving,,ministers,samatha kings of durbar,,ministers,wrestlers, and singers due to extraordinary sorrow beca wet by pouring tears flow. Other girls,,boys, and all citizens, looking king’s wife Damayanthi, pitied.

 

43)Damayanthi decided to what to do their children. Before going to forest  only,made her children to  sit  in chariot and dent to her  mother house vidarbha. As all town people started to cry, Damayanthi without thinking two, with clear mind, followd her husband. 

 

44) Following husband  going to forest, admiring charecters of Damayanthi, Romesha told  with dharmaraja like this.”what shall I say about Damayanthi? She is fit for honour in this world.s knows truth.In pathivratha charecters  she is guru  to other  women? She remembering  lotus feet of husband, according to order of  god, went to forest.

Husband of Damayanthi  Nala left her in the forest and went.Next  who was alone crossed  mouth of snake,from troubles of wild elephants  and reached chaidyanagara.

 

1)Romesha told to yudhistira like this.”kountheya(son of kunthi), Nala king went from nishadha city. Both husband and wife went for  few haradaries  distance by walk like  slowly  like doing piligrimage(journey). Their difficulty can’t be told. Due to tiredness of walk of path tingues got dried. By walking lags of Damayanthi started to pain(heals were cut). Due to leakage of blood  path became  mud due to blood.

 

2)    As tender banana leaf  dries up due to heat of fire, dried up very much  Damayanthi , on seing Nala  started to feel sorrow in mind only.”in beautiful in golden swinging cot , sleeping (laying down) on  to this delicate Damayanthi, this bad fate has come?” telling like this sighed.

 

3) Damayanthi who observed   boredom of husband, for consoling husband,”king,  no use by sorrowing now. To avoid what is written by brahma  on forehead  it is not possible even by thrimurthies  brahma,Vishnu,Maheshwara also. When it is so what is ours  great! Wealth vanishes. Suddenly fills up. Next moment comes onlt to visibility. Therefore that treasure is not permanent. Do you don’t know this? Why to pain even after knowing?” told.

 

4)Nala heard words of Damayanthi. Hearing cried in mind.Like that in various distances  was coming with wife. Group of beautiful  birds  he found getting down to earth.Not only seing but due to desire on them, to catch in hurry  threw blanket(hacchada) upon them. As soon as he threw, birds lifted that blanket, and carried away to sky.s

 

5)Nala seing  flying of birds, wondered. By wonder fingures went on nose. Head noded, He stood slightly laughing. At the same time both birds,”we have  captured state joy(rajva sukha), very quickly.you should know this”like this indicating, suddenly disappeared.

 

6) About   maya Kalipurusha what Nala knows?Due to sorrow without attention on body,becoming dull, stood as naked.On seing that Damayanthi, remembering god, pitiying as shiva shiva’ tearing her saree only, gave to wear.When she gave like that,knowing there is no cloth on his body, bent head with shy.

 

7)Nala remembering his previous royal gandeur  started to pity.”to king of earth  let nishadha city’s  palace go, to get it’s door entrance only  as though great punya way, great grandeur  honour, shining kingship  now disappeared.Apart from that, to get fitness of  such state treasure only, becoming out,  to bad luck of wearing wife’s saree border “like this  sighd long.

 

8) Nala on knowing his bad condition,pitying with Damayanthi”dear,there are no sinners like me on earth.  king instead of experiencing  eight enjoyment lucks(Astabhogabhagyas),  losing them, children born in stomach  and friends,

 I left.wife who believed me only,making to get  very much  tired in middle of forest,  sorrowd.s When like this, what a severe sinner I am!herefore you leaving me  who is severe sinner, it is better to go to father’s house”told.

 

9) On listening words of beloved  husband Nala, Damayanthi became  very angry.She with sorrow ,”you also getting angry, are you telling me to o to mother house? If you only tell like this,  who is my fate(gathi)? Everyday i have to serve your lotus  feet through this body.Otherwise my body and mind won’t listen.”told.

 

10) Damayanthi with sorrow  again”shadow  staying near body only follows  and mones  and will not move away from body.I am also like that only. In shadow of your lotus feet  joy or sorrow  that is only favourable to me. Apart from is there any other fate(condition). Therefore the forest in which you exist is my kingdom. I will reside in shadow of your lotus feet only. To eside in palace  by leaving you is like forest dwelling only.”telling like this, did namaskarams to husband’s feet.

 

11) Damayanthi telling her wife dharma(religion,duty), poured tears. Pouring as flow  tears wiping with her fingures, exploded.”this is karma fruit of  previous life. What is possible to do for this?No use to feel sorrow now. Without keeping any dirt in mind, following you, will move in forest” like this told with Nala.

                       

12)  Seing Nala’s  sorrowing wife,”beloved,why do you sorrow? Come here”calling like this, embraced tightly with both hands. Wiped her tears with cloth. Later carefufully making her to sit on thigh,are you not having even a little intellectmad,why do you get upset? Leave sorrow. Like this consoled with love.

 

13)Nala telling boldness ,consoling wife,remembering Vishnu, while coming forward, found fearful  forest. Lion excetras cruel animals, eagle excetra birds, moving forest  both of them entered.At that time  lotus faced Sun  in western sea   slowly got down. Dark covered earth.

 

14)  To emperor Nala’s wife, as though upset covering,as though closing box, as soon as sun drowned, dark covered world. Then on listening harsh  sounds of animals and birds, Damayanthi feared.Nala who is of enquiring nature, soling her vision defect(Dristidosha), consoling embraced.

 

15)”Damayanthi, don’t fear, this is fate writing written by brahma. It is impossible to cross this.”telling like this, Nala  making her to sleep  on bed of dry leaves of tree,looking at her only,”Ayyo fate, sleeping in rathna fixed cot, enjoying  above(upper) joy, to her such a difficulty has come”thinking like this filled with tears.

 

16)Damayanthi  is not ordinary pathivratha (chaste,pious) women she is above than those.She will not get separated with me. Therefore without bringing to her notice, if i disappear, afterwards without seing me will go to father’s house. If I am here only till she awakens  she will surely not go.like this thinking plan of sending her to her  mother house(thavaru house),made her to get sleep.

 

17)As soon as Damayanthi slept, forgetting body, went into deep sleep. By that time he slowly glided her saree border slowly without bringing to her knowledge. Taking that cloth, looking sleeping wife without closing eye lid, pitied in mind only.  Apart  from that,”God without awakening her, while she is sleeping, in this forest where there are cruel anumalas, leaving how shall I go?” Like this sighed long.

 

18)condition of Nala who got separated can’t be told. He goes to distance of  ten six steps  and comes back without listening mind.He sees her slept beautiful face  sees mor a moment withot geating eye lids. As sorrow is boiling rising  keeps steps slowly.Again returns and sees wife’s face once. A last tieing boundless  upset only  walks for one gavuda(three miles?) distance.

 

19) Once Nala’s mind pitying with sorrow.once eyes were  turning back and seing. When he saw like that  without finding his wife,  heart was baking with pain.Somehow due to struggling of mind, his boldness reduced. Dignified(prestigious) greatness  broke and fell. Due to increase of sorrow  he  walked further with anxiety.

 

20) Nala king without even showing a thill  size of kindness  left wife.papa(pity)! How can she tolerated troubles of  tiger,bear, excetra animals  in forest? Listening to her request(prayer) in order to see,with great love as though is coming to awaken her, Sun appeared in east direction.

 

21) As it became morning, Damayanthi awakening from slep,,bending body, slowly turned and saw Nala. Even when left and right both sides were seen, hint of husband was not seen. At once sorrow rised leading to giddiness (darkening of eye vision). she forgot herself and slept.But suddenly getting awakened  in half a moment, saw that and this side where is Nala. His presence was not seen. When not seen,  in mddle of that big hill and trees, she who was alone, remembering husband  desiring started to feel sorrow.

 

22)”o my beloved husband, who shows boldness in war,truthful,Nala king, In fearful forest, is it right to leave wife  who has believed wilfully? To me who is  gathi(fate, Condition,direction,support)?Akatakata(Ayyo)!” Show your face once” telling like this Damayanthi  cried.

 

23)”now for whom shall I live? Shall I get down into earth and disappear?Shall i offer myself to fire by jumping ?Shall I drown in pit of great poison pit, and die?Shall i fall in flat stone? Myself who has gone under disaster  shall I leave prana  by drinking poison?”Like this Damayanthi  shouting crying, wandered in forest.

 

24) Damayanthi due to fear,due to sorrow, trembling,losing boldness(aluhu.......?) without considering animal,bird, in that big forest, each one enquired for her husband. Her feared yes were searching for her husband.”king swans, did you see my husband? Parrots and cuckoos  did you find my husband? Animals  and  birds did you see my Nala emperor?o trees creepers, Did you see my husband(prana priya)? Like this enquiring in various kinds, lamented.sspreading hairs, rolling in dust, threw body.”god , to protect  my mother delivered and reared on this earth? Or if seen, is there anybody in the world  like me who have given  their body for this and otherworld  joy?emperor, show me your laughing face once” like this remembering husband, worried for him.

 

26)Damayanthi desiring for her husband ,crying, while coming in forest, one more  disaster happened. Next  in path one  great serpent, falling under dry leaves, peacefully was doing  deep tasty sleep.

 

27)Damayanthi without seing  treaded that  black serpent. Suddenly that serpent opened it’s hood and hissed.emitting poison, opposed with roudravathara(anger incarnation,fearful).Apart from that like Rahu swallowing  moon slowly, held her and started to swallow.Papa(pity)! What shall I say about   bad luck of Damayanthi? 

 

28)Damayanthi without knowing what to do next, with fear,”husband, Submiting to whom  made me to die?Ayyayyo! god,worldlord, to mouth of cruel creature serpent   I was caught,let go, now whom shall I request? Here who will protect my life?Ayyo!god,mukunda, relieve me from mouth of this  snake,protect me”like this shouted.

 

29) Cry of Damayanthi was heard by  a bow man  who was at the top of the hill.Immedeately that bow man came running holding  bow and arrows only.holding delicate Damayanthi,looking swallowing black serpent, cutting it by sword, relieved her from mouth of snake.

 

30) On seing Damayanthi  relieved from mouth of kala serpent(black serpent), gods made voice with joy.Hunter saved her from mouth of  serpent by speaking  words of  boldness, consoled. For Damayanthi as though it was, Caught in mouth of  rahu, moon as though pulling out bringing, relieving.Apart from that  she was getting giddiness,  manthra recital of moon, Became  all right.

 

31) Damayanthi got out of mouth of snake safely.She taking bath  in pond with shining red lotuses, came.Then junter seing her requested her to become his wife on hearing that word Damayanthi with anger, “what  words are these?Are you not my father who saved my prana?hunter, If i get angry i will give curse.’get out’  from  front of my eyes.”like this roared.

 

32) Damayanthi on scolding him from anger,he getting afraid,  he by bending head,thanking went off. After he went off she as before,remembering husband in mind lamenting (desiring) started to pity. Searching for him in forest  without getting became depressed(shunya) pouring boiling spilling tears, moved forward.

 

33)Damayanthhi wandering  in forest, while moving forward, few wonderful facts took place. Due to her chastity(pathuvrithya),ghosts,devils, bhethalas, moved away.ox,rabit, wild elephant, excetras  slowly moved away.

 

34) As she moved   saw further,brightful penanciers  group.Munies seing her who was pouring tears, with melted heart,”mother,who are you? Why do you came to forest? When enquired, she joining hands with politeness requested.

 

35)Damayanthi to munies”rushies you are honourable, kindly listen to my words. I am punyaless. What shall i say abot that? Have you heard of Nalaking? I am wife of that emperor.Ayyo! Which vow I had undertaken in past  birth?,some how getting separated from husband, now i became forest wanderer(dweller).”telling like this sighed.

 

36)”munies, husband Nala,defeated by pushkara  in gambling,  Lost all his state. Apart from that,without missing truth, as per challenge  undertook forest dwelling. Here leaving me alone separated. Without seing husband  with fear my power is reduced.Now your feet darshan happened. You are kindful is it not? Please kindly protect me”like this Damayanthi prayed munies.

 

37) On listening  sorrowdful news, heart of rushies melted. They”mother by sorrow don’t lose your chest.your husband and children,state,treasure all   you will get. This matter is known to us by  yoga meditation. Don’t be afraid”asking like this  they told and disappeared.

 

38 )On seing disappearance of  munies, Damayanthi with wonder”Ayyo,what a wonder is this!Became like a dream! Munies who appeared to eye before, where did they go?”like this  without seing husband, while coming with fear, new businessmen found her.

 

39) Businessmem who saw Damayanthi in middle of  forest, fearing “who is she forest godess? Or divine lass(divine dansel) or Manmatha’s wife rathidevi? Manmatha’s enemy shiva’s  wife parvathiOr Saraswathi?or demon?or whose wife she may be? Or very big ghost wearing   stunt form? Is not possible to know. Who she is?” telling like this started to run away.

 

40) vaishya group  who were running  due to fear of Damayanthi, noted. She calling with smile,going near them,”I will not trouble you do you know who I am? I am wife  of Nala  emperor who is very famous in world. You need not fear”she told.

 

41) Again Damayanthi  introducing herself,”nishadha’s  veerasena’s son  Nala king, gambling with pushkara,,geting vdefeated,lost his state only. He who has lost state coming to this forest,separating from me he has gone somewhere. Brothers,wandering in this forest  I have missed path. 42)mother to day darshan of your lotus feet happened. We are lucky. But Ayyo! To you who is wife of king Nala   such a condition has come. Which bad luck pushed you to this trouble? Mother don’t worry(pity). Here at some distance only there is Chaithyanagara. Mother you come with us”telling like this, vaishyas, thanking Damayanthi,while carrying her, lotus friend Sun  got down into slowly  into sea in west direction.

 

43)When sun started to sweat, day  started to reduce.Evening time,golden colour sun light, started to recede.At that time as though  closing  opend box dark covered earth. to see good charectered  Damayanthi, like godeses  stars appearing in sky,  with shining   started to  peep.

 

44)s knowing it is impossible to cross  forest at night time, businessman  forming a tent(camp) slept. But bad time for troubling them came near.What shall I say? At that night a flock(group) of wild elephants, for drinking water due to thirst,in path going towards lake, as though hills are coming,in hurry  came covering.

 

45) Arrival of elephant was  fearful.While coming on path  were breaking availalable trees. Treading bushes by rubbing used to destroy.  By their canines(Ivory teeth)  were pulling throwing stone elevations.s Swinging trunk with intoxication, coming,on seing  those, few among merchants, ran away fastly. Few with boldness  stood with emotional excitement.Still few holding bhalles(a kind of weapon) by probing fought with elephants.

 

46) Those who came opposite elephants tread. Cutting few with canines(Ivory teeth), ran forward. Then valients who were in front, by rising up came attacked elephants. Those who were having arm strength,  fought making hand forward. But is it possible to  tolerate their  oppositeness? Those who are few  can they stand  by  giving chest to attack of elephants? Therefore by leaving fight,receding back(hesitating), jumped. Not only receded, dispersed  andran aeay to various directions.

 

47)Tollerating opposing elephants, to stand  was beyond matter of adventure.Because they were injuring severely,destroying densely.Thinking if we are here, we will have to lose prana only, valients there went off. Their lord (leader)who saw returning  merchants,”what solution shall we do?” like this thought in mind.

 

48)chief of vaishyas  addressing  Damayanthi”mother,intoxicated elephants  are  killing us. We don’t know how to overcome this You have come believing us only. What shall we do now? That fate has  made us  a goal to difficulty! Mother, In this world nobody can cross fate writing.”like this lamented.

 

49) on hearing words of chief of vaishyas, Damayanthi answered like this” In house of Bhima king, I was born as his daughter.my father is big emperor. Nala emperor himself is my husband. Better among better veerasena himself is my father inlaw. Though there is such good luck, If there is  fate  that I should sacrifice  my body to wild elephants, What  it is possible to be done by us?papa(pitiable)! How can you protect me?”

 

50)”Damayanthi who described her fate writing, strongly closing eye, in mind”padmanabha,Mukunda,protect”like this remembered lotus feet of Srivishnu.By that time those wild elephants returned to  their  residence(forest).Regarding their return   Damayanthi consoled merchants. Telling like this Romesha muni  with Dharmaraya”to devotees who remember god there is no fear” Like this told.

 

51) merchants  in forest only pushed  that night.Night went becoming morning. Sun shined in east hill. Suddenly merchants and Damayanthi by walking  reached Chedinagara.In that city,golden upstaired houses, upstairs of shining  residences, on seing with joyful mind, entered city.

 

52) like gold having rasa application, like rathna hiden dirty  clothes,like moon  shining behind non moving cloud, moon faced that Damayanthi  while coming middle of city,town people standing here and there, saw Damayanthi out of curiosity .Apart from that, All regarding beautiful Damayanthi,”who is she?” like this kept figure on nose with wonder.

 

53)Damayanthi was coming  was coming slowly in street of Chedinagara(chediccity) keeping steps slowly with celebration.While she was coming, the parrots abd cuckoos  which heard  her melodious talk, danced with joy.Due to heaviness of breasts, her thin waist was bending. To hanging breast weight, neck was bending. Her wide eyes(bogase like)  vision, breaking black cloud, shining emiting  lightning it was appearing.

 

54) Damayanthi while coming   by walk in street, in golden upstairs who was doing durbar among lasses  chedi king’s wife saw suddenly.On seing”who might be this great woman is shachidevi wife of Devndra?” guessing like this, called her to come.As per her call Damayanthi  came and stood in front of  her.

 

55)Chedi kning’s wife on seing Damayanthi,”mother,who are you? When seen you are looking like  queen? You are queen of  king of which country? To you in tender age only why this bad condition happened? Why you have become brightless (dull) ,tell”on asking like this Damayanthi’s eyes filled.Tears flowd as  flood.She without bearing  sorrow, leaving long sigh, told her news to queen.

 

56)I am a  country corrupted foreigner. My husband getting defeated  all state in gambling(pagade play), came to forest.There leaving me got separated.myself who was alone,my intellect got spoiled. While  Wandering with sorrow, now I have come near your feet. Queen, In have no well wishers. You only are sharanu to me. To help others punya  giving?mother, you should protect me”like this Damayanthi begged.

 

57)On hearing these words heart of wife of chedi king melted.she straightly came near Damayanthi  and embraced. While she was keeping steps  sound of leg  bangles  heard melodious.After embracing wiping tears of Damayanthi,”young, don’t sorrow. See wear this better ornaments. Wear this silk saree,wear this flower garland in head”told.

 

58)To courtesy shown by  by chedi queen, Damayanthi expressed her gratitude.”devi  the treatment which you have done is enough.That is only the honour which you showd me. Higher this no other ornament is needed. We are foreigners without house and property. I will  do your feet service. You should  not tell low works.   you will know my way of protection”told.

 

59)”On listening words of Damayanthi Chedi king’s wife  slightly laughed.Told like this:””from you there will not  be any difficulty .Apart from that we will not ask you to do low work.Don’t worry about that.To me Sunithi named daughter is there. You can be with her as servent always”telling like this  she sent her to daughter’s house.

 

60) Chedi king’s wife was not knowing  that  Damayanthi was her sister’s daughter. Apart from that she did not try for knowing that also.But still  like her own daughter  with respect and also without any difference in mind, reared with love.

 

61)Damayanthi started to spend time without any difficulty in Sunithi’s house.Pain of her mind reduced.Everyday leaving food and sleep”by grace of Vishnu when her own husband  comes and shows face?”telling like this, she was remembering god.

SANDHI 6:

 After  Nala king  went leaving wife Damayanthi in forest only, getting bitten by karkotaka, underwent intolerable sorrow. Like that with sorrow came to  Ayodhya city where Ruthuparna was  there.

 

1)Romasha muni described  to Dharmaraya  Nala’s condition.”kunthi son,Nala  who was king of Nishadha country, leaving Damayanthi who was sleeping in forest only, went off.Time will not destroy whom? Nala eemperor who was caught by time fate(time movement), bad luck of Nala emperor  what shall I tell.That thrishula(trident) wearer shiva only knows.papa(pity)! He was wandering forest alone.

 

2)While Nala was walking  forward, about Damayanthi who was alone in the forest,”Damayanthi might be sleeping?losing boldness might be remembering god?Or  in  sleep  seing me in dream  will get awakened? When awakened  without seing me,lamenting  in various kinds, at end getting angry might be blaming fate?Due to mind pain(mental pain), might be pouring tears?or with despair will she lose her prana?Ayyo! How she might be who is strengthless(weak)?” like this was lamenting.

 

3)Regarding Damayanthi  many thoughts  rised as waves and waves. He sorrowing,remembering ggod, told in himself like this:”Damayanthi will leave  children  who are born in her  stomach with others believing me only may follow me only.Such  wife  myself coming together,while she was sleeping  left her in dense forest and came. Now remembering intellect illusion has happened. Ayyo! All these  are karma  fruit of what I had done in past birth. In this world(iha)  like me hand held(married) wife  who have  deceived like me?” really I am  outcasted(bahishkrutha)”.

 

4)In world there  were   many famous kings. But  still  refusing without accepting  that Damayanthi why did she  loved and accepted me? Her love is not comparable. I am a sinner who have left such a wife shiromani(head bead).God such person like me should not be on earth”like this  Nala pitied for his wife.

 

5)like thisNala king pitying very much, crying, his pain of sorrow increased. He baked  and tired  from pain.On one side meditating upon Vishnu in mind, on another side  getting pained(sorrowd) in heart, keeping steps forward while coming, next  eating what is available near by burning, found  burning fire.

 

6)The greatness of that forest fire was  amazing. What shall I say  about it’s loss!fire spread through out forest rised  to solar system. Smoke getting whirled, covered as mass and mass. In that place fire  was burning everywhere. To  that burning  fire, it was not possible to  come across   for sum of trees. Aeroplane people (vaimanikas) feared and shook. Whole forest became burnt into ashes.

 

7)  Forest   firespreading,embracing bamboo proproots(bilalu,hindilu),hlding was burning.Big big bamboos  were exploding  were becoming offering(Ahuthi) to fire. Banana trees  were getting baked  by burning becoming  charcoal(karaku?).Trees were burning in groups and groups  reducing into ashes. Animal groups in caves   shaking to fearfulness of  forest fire,trembling  with prana fear  were jumping running. While  birds were flying in batches batches  above getting baked along with feathers  were falling in middle of forest.

 

6) tigers and lions  in midst of fire only flied and ran away.Elephants flock(group)  and other  many kinds of  innumerable animals,,getting baked within a moment  rolled.Still few  jumped and ran.Gandaberunda  excetra birds,other animalsbecame offer to fire and fell.

 

9)shining at the time of pralaya(total destruction)  sea fire, as though that forestfire  rounding forest  by burning making into ashes  was spreading.Then suddebly one  artha(cry of a person in difficulty) sound  was heard.”high among kings,I am undergoing as sacrifice to fire.Ayyo,I caget relieved by this. You only showing grace upon me, will you not save me from this trouble?you will get punya(merit)”like this that sound told.

 

10) Nala king on hearing shout, with kindness,  without seing back and front(hesitating) ran towards that sound. Who shouted and called me? Like this flowing eye here and there while coming, serpent king fallen in fire seing him told like this.”king, you are not an ignorant not knowing anything.you are knower of all scriptures. See my prana is going,protect”.On hearing that  words, Nala on seing serpent,”who are you?” asked like this.

 

11) Giving answer to question of Nala, serpent”king, I am serpent king karkotaka.One day  when i was in forest, a rushi ame and touched me accidentally. With fear that i may bite,”you without moving that and this side   be  fallen l here only”like this gave curse.When will this curse get solved for that hurishapa( anticurse.....?) should be blessed” when told,he told like this.

 

12)”According to curse  you should remain like this.But after  little time king Nala comes here. By is hand touch your curse will be solved”like this as told by muni I was expecting your arrival. Now you have come. King please save me from this fire”like this serpent told with Nala.

 

13) Nala’s heart became melted  with kindness. Fear of snake  disappeared. He without fearing  lifting serpent king  with hand  brought down. Avoided becoming offer(Ahuthi) to fire.Apart from that carrying  near pond  gave cool treatment.Then serpent bited hand of Nala. As soon as bited  poison filled body.Due to it’s effect  brightful body got destroyed  became ugly.

 

14) Due to poison face of  Nala turned across. Nose became nodules nodules. Beautiful stomach became  swinging stomach.Back became  kyphotic(stooping forward). Hands and legs losing beauty became big.Mustache and body hairs got burnt.Body became painful(illness). Beard became torn.Shape became short. By this curved form  Nala became handicapped(vikala chethana).

 

15) Nala king who was  beautiful  like Manmatha, became ugly.He though”who can cross   karma fruits of past birth?” like this told within himself.”if  held as big  crystal  will it become  fire burning  hands?shiva shiva! fruit of friendship of  these  kindless  creatures   I got”told.

 

16)”serpent king,,this is karma fruit which i had done in past birth.If it follows means  we should experience it only.There is no use of paining for it.Myself is sinner. Now no grace of  eagleflaged(garudadhwaja) Srikrishna’s blessings,it missed.When it is so in world  who others can protect?”like this Nala thought.

 

17) On seing  Nala’s pity, serpent filling him with boldness started to tell like this”king,why simply you are upset?Don’t be so humble. Are you wicked?enough leave. By this  ugliness  there is help. Don’t be afraid.In world  you should not be recognised by anybody.For this reason only  I bited and made poison to rise.By this there is much help”.

 

18)”see till this poison is spread in your  body parts, enemies arrow and water, snake, disease excetras  disaster may happen.Now there is no fear.Truely this is like diamond shield to you.You don’t be upset. This form will be helpful to your next works. King don’t be afraid.”

 

19)”king,on this land  great king of kings  Ruthuparna named one king is there.He is good charectered. To sun family  named sea ,like moon joy giving, his city is Ayodhya. He knows  horse’s heart(ashwahridaya). That education can be taught by him. You can lern that education. Apart from that you teach that ashwa education  to him. To you this only is enough. Don’t worry go”

 

20)”you should go to Ruthuparna and do his service.keeping name Bahuka in him,holding bridle of horse, should drive chariot.Don’t consider(count)  this job as low.Apart from that when you want beautiful shape as before,remember bi rds which  carried away blanket(hacchada,cloth) from you.Then they will bring and give that hacchada(cloth,blanket).If you wear it you will get beautiful form  as before.

 

21)”king,Your this condition is not big. There are people who have undergone more difficulty and had troubles.Previously bhuthanatha(lord of jivies), Eshwara  begging bhiksha rice ,has eaten. Garudadhvaja(eagle flagled) Srikrishna , was watching cattles  in forest. Devndra who had done hundred yagas(sacrifices), and can give plenty of treasure, Did he not trouble by wandering in forest. Enough don’t get bored,go”

 

22)”Hey Nala, By following  truth strictly, you will win pushkara in gambling. State which is filled with, treasure and spilling, you will rule along with your wife.This is boon given to you by me know”like this  telling to Nala treating him,suddenly karkotaka  disappeared.

 

23)Nala was coming by walk  to go to  Ruthuparna’s capital in forest.His mind was filled with worries and sorrows. On the path seing him,with boldness without allowing(leaving) path, on seing cruel animals  which were standing seing, slightly laughed. Climbed and came down many hills. He passed thrugh hard forest regions , which were impossible to keep step.At end  crossing villages  where people were residing, quickly  walked for a distance of many gavudas(one gavuda=three miles) Distance.

 

24)Nala reached  state of Ruthuparna. There he saw rivers fully flowing with water,gardens,ponds, ghama ghama fragrancing  jasmine flowers garden,ponds which were  shining with blossomed lotuses in outskirts of city,s,high level aravattiges(water storages), beautifully grown and stood, trees  with mind pride seing tasting went forward.

 

25) Next Ayodhya city appeared. Around city high  fort wall was  shining.Emitting brightness  shining golden dooms were there. Tip of fort wall was  kissing sky.using ditches(kandakas) high walls, were shining with  lines and lines of rathnas.Deep Agalu(ditches.......?) was surrounding.In four direction of city  impossible to pietrce  secured diamond door was shining.ss

 

26) In that Ayodhya city  carving threading  gold and rathnas polished shining  residences,on mansions  emitting golden colour, shining golden kalashas,rooms of upstairs,shown by lasses dance,singing,acting,excetra various  fun programs,tip of sky kissing  towers,in innumerable counts  residences,can’t be described by anybody.

 

27) kings in royal streets of Ayodhya city,Brahmins,vaishyas,shudras,citizens, excetra innumerable people were there.elephant,horse,chariot,foot soldiers, excetra four part army (chathuranga), appeared. All shops were  with new new colours  and styles  were attractive to eyes of observers. On seing such city  Nala noded his head  with joy.

 

28) Nala entering  beautiful Ayodhya city,seing it’s beauty  directly with eye, appreciated richness of Ruthuparna.Then thinking about himself,”fate has made to come to this state!I am really luckless”like this  with boredom remembered Vishnu.

SANDHI 7:Bhima king without seing  his  daughter Damayanthi, made to search for her in three words.At end listening that she is in chaidya king,seing, made her to come from there.

 

1)Romasha told with Dharmaraya like this.”one day ruthuparma  durbar of palace which is rathna fixed, was sitting on throne. In his durbar  crown wearing kings  were sitting in line and line. Brahmins had gathered. Ministers and purohiths were sitting. Good charectered  and honourable  women had gathered.By all these durbar was beautiful.

 

2) Thinking that this only is useful time  Nala  with joy,wearing clothes and ornaments, like hari came to durbar.He did namaskarams to Ruthuparna.Then fighting with  bold chested enemies,hiting them, who can make to run, war valients(soldiers)  announced as ‘jiya’.At that time only  Nala with politeness, with king started to request. 

 

3) king, I have come for your lotus feet service.I pray to fulfil  my this request.Ihave no two words.My name is Bahuka.I know horse education(Ashwavidya). I know cooking also well” like this Nala told  with laugh.

 

4)Nala contineuing “you are expert in cooking. You can prepare proper food. But not handsome in body figure.On seing my ugliness  don’t think he is a low person in mind.Charecter has no lowness. You can see my valience.king,see bangle of forearm. Light enlighing lamp  or mirror is not needed  make to bring strong horse” like this Nala  requestedwith smile.

 

5)King Ruthuparna, liked  on hearing to words of Bahuka. Made  to bring better horse and gave.Nala rising that horse, made to run.To guesture of his heal  it dancing dancing ,as though both legs hitting ground at once,it making monotonous  tone,  jumping in step to step ran with air speed.When Bahuka left bridle lose, horse ran extraordinarily.To force of it’s running, red dust rised was covering sky.Earth tumulted. Present in sky  gods who were seing horse  skills of  Nala praised.Others all”Shahabbas he is king of horse riders only” like this  told liking words.

 

7)Bahuka on returning to capitol, as he made guesture  with heal  it turned. As it ran fastly there was smell of sweat  on seing that Bahuka stoped horse. Getting down from it’s back, thanked to  to Ruthuparna. King also  became happy to see  horse education of Bahuka  gave ornaments as prize. Giving more salary  he appointed him with himself.s

 

8) Bahuka in Ruthuparna  earning friendship  of valakhya,was always with him.On this side one day night as though kissing Damayanthi,as though conversing with her, Nala saw dream. On seing it when he suddenly got up, awakened and saw without seing wife, started tto lament for her.

 

9)”Beloved, having lotus like eyes  beauty, you showing kindness in me , coming in dream you talked with me.What a smoothness your’s is!What a love! But not visible to eye.Desiring to see you, I am dried up and tired very much. Amy sorrow god only knows”telling like this Nala who had become Bahuka,undergoing effect of arrow of Manmatha, becoming  anxious for wife remembered her and sorrowd.

 

10)Sorrowful words of Bahuka was heard by Valakhya. He without tolerating laugh,’hahaha’ laughing like this,”Bahuka, which beauty you are desiring for?Which lass will show love to you  with kindness?Are you such handsome  shining to eye? Lass for man like you also?let it be; the lass which you are desiring  is she fit for you?papa! madness to that Manmatha”like this immitated.

 

11)With Valakhya  who did ill fun, Bahuka”nothing like that,previously one Brahmin  getting separated from his wife, described sorrow of that separation with me. Same today appearing in my dream,Suddenly spoke with illusion. What is wrong in it? Really I have no wife or children” he told.

 Nala in city of Ruthuparna was  spending time without getting recognised by anybody. But through  through Brahmins, Bhima king came to know  Nala’s state loss. Gambling with pushkara  getting defeated, lost the  state  and went to forest with his wife.On knowing this, Bhima king became sorrowful.s

 

13) Bhima king with sorrow  remembering  his daughter cried.”Ayyo daughter, Damayanthi, marrying nishadha emperor, as queen  who has to enjoy royal  life,fate by  cheating(deception) sent you to forest?Ayyo,fruit of your karma? Taking birth in stomach  of Bhima king  your all good luck brke?Akatakata(Ayyo)! Spilling moon, your face is not seen! Child, show me once that lovely face”.

 

14)”daughter,”your lovely child, with despair getting bored to whom did you give? Leaving children born in stomach  to this difficulty luck  made you   as target?s To you who is female is it possible to go to forest?Shiva shiva; Cruel animals in forest what did they do to you? Did husband Nala leave you? Did ghosts swallowd you? Like this Bhima king lamented.

 

15) Matter of bad fate which was got by Damayanthi, her mother also came to know.She”daughter, Born in poor peoples stomach, instead enjoying happiness,you as daughter of king, are undergoing  difficulties. Joyfully grown inpalace your  soft body  difficulties of forest where  there are   plants and  bushes, how can you tolerate? Burn this body”like this pitied.

 

16) Bhima king  and his wife both sorrowing ,not able to bear, decided to lose prana  by jumping  into fire started to come with emotional excitement. Then,viveki(one who has ability of desretion of good and bad,right and wrong),don’t be sorrowful, to one who is pathivrathe(chaste)  will loss touch? Think and see, Damayanthi is in happiness “like this sky talk(akashavani)  was heard.

 

17)On listening skyspeech  a talk came out from mouth of a muni in Brahmin group;”These are words of  joyful  god.Damayanthi and king Nala  both will be happy.They have no danger for ever. You send spys to search them”

 

18) As per words of muni  Bhima king returned to palace. But in his mind worry was strong. By the time he reached  palace  there was sun set in western sea. King did not get sleep through out night. Some how night passed and sun rose. Dark moved and light came.

 

19) At morning  Bhima king made Brahmins to come. To them “where is my daughter Damayanthi ,where are  she and her husband Nala  king are present  kindly find out.To those who see and bring them,i will give half of my state” giving hope like this,he treated them well and sent.

 

2o)People who carried king’s order up to east,south,westseas,in north up to  kuru king’s  state, went on searching Nala and Damayanthi.In many cities,in forest streets, upto  horizons(digantha,direction ends), searching for them, days passed.Still they could not  find out their presence, continued their search.

 

21) Brahmins  enquired in towns  cities,those who had gathered in meets(functions),those moving in paths, and were coming. But without knowing hint of Nala Damayanthi,getting tired,worrying,pitying,while searching,among them three people entered chedi city.

 

22)In chedi city, on hearing the news that king is doing yaga(sacrifice) there, all three along with others went to palace. Thinking that they may get  festival meals(feast meals,mristanna meals) and dakshines(remunirations) also  enteres yajnashala(sacrifice hall).

 

23)In sacrifice house(yagashale) Brahmins were doing manthra recital. As manthras were pronounced  king was worshiping  yajna purusha fire(agni). On one side  Damayanthi was honouring  King’s daughter sunithe. Sudeva on seing her ,in mind only,guessed that she might be Damayanthi.Apart fro that”this woman is not ordinary,she is great wife”wondered like this.

 

24)Damayanthi while seing as though cloud covered moon,like brightness of lamp   burning at day time, was appearing like a  peculiar  doll made up of smoke, was appearing.There were no ornaments and clothes on her. Saree was dirty,body was dirty. She was standing  holding chin in hand, as charmless and dried up.

 

25)”this is true pathivratha(chaste) religion. In this woman that dharma is appearing. She has left all show offs. I will meet this  queen(king’s wife)” deciding like this, Sudeva went near Damayanthi. With her”mother, What is this,you are like this? What is your condition? Your lotus face has dried up.Why are you wearing this dirty saree?what is cause for this?”like this enquired.

 

26)Sudeva contineuing forward ,iforming his news,started to tell for which cause he has come.”Amma(mother), I came from vidarbha  city. I am one better Brahmin. 27) “Bhima king,his wife and sons,relatives and brothers, And your children, all are safe. But now all of them going away from state,losing his wife going to forest dwelling(vanavasa),on knowing this information, have drowned in  ocean of sorrow.”

 

28)”mother(amma) after listening  to your news  your father and mother  underwent  sorrow. Freely  sheding tears,  calling us  sent for search  and bring you.Called us sent to search. We wandering in three worlds, came in search of you. We found you here. As you were found our punya fulfilled”telling like this, sudeva thanked.

 

29)On listening to  words of Sudeva ,sorrow  boiled rised and came, from eyes of Damayanthi sorrow water(tears) started to  pour. Calling that  better Brahmin, honouring enquired about her relatives  very much.Later  she carried sudeva to introduce to  wife of chedi king.There chedi king’s wife asked sudeva”who are you? From where did you come?” on asking like this, he told about the fact for which he has come.

 

30)”other,Vidarbha king on hearing the news of having left palace with Damayanthi with her husband  going to forest  could not tolerate.he ordered to search and bring  his daughter. As per that I came here. Apart from that saw Damayanthi.”. like this sudeva did namaskarams. 

 

31) Wife of chaidya king on listening to words of Sudeva  with sorrow telling shiva shiva”daughter, wealth and state treasure did they become dirt to you? Why did you left them?This brahma has written in your forehead to  experience sorrow?Where did king Nala go?Time movement became like this!ayyo”like this sorrowd.

 

32)”daughter,don’t sorrow, I am not other to you. Your mother’s sister.Ayyo you you pained (teared)in our house very much. You have not told with us sofar. You on our part  equal to sunande”like this embracing Damayanthi, showd much affection.

 

33)To uncle chedi king also  became very much bored.He told”Daughter Damayanthi, Due to sorrow of having lost husband tou  left all. By that body  is tired and melted.I did not understand who you are! Daughter what a wrong happenedlet it be ,don’t sorrowI will make to search your husband and bring.”

 

34)”child come here” like this subahu calling Damayanthi near,pouring with cloth(utthariya)  his pouring tears,consoling  came to his durbar.suddenly calling Sudeva ,giving him rathna ornaments, treating gave send off. Sudeva without delay straightly came to king.

 

35) Vidarbha king Bhima, wishing for news of son in law and daughter,,while with pity, Sudeva coming to him and thanking,informed matter. He has seen Damayanthi.She in chedya city  in house of her aunt, is very happy he told.

 

36) Contineuing Brahmin told like this”king,”king, I have found Damayanthi and have told to her.Due to sorrow of separation of  husband,she without combing head,hairs have spread. Worn cloth has become dirty(faded),face has dried up, without taking meals properly, by punishing body,it has become tired. Mind has folded losing charm Who is there to search my husband and inform?telling like this, is worrying in mind only”

 

37)On hearing new of daughter  charm of king’s face colour rised.Mind expanded with joy.Suddenly he  hee called women and favourable ministers. He ordered them to bring his daughter.Giving manidudiges(...?) ebcouraged and sent.

 

38) Ministers whom Bhima king sent excetras came to Subahu.Subahu enquired safety all in palace of Bhima king. Those who came informed about   all in detail.Later with him”you should Damayanthi  like this king has requested. Apart  from that they liking you have sent gifts also.”telling like this, gave all of those to subahu.

 

39)Subahu king  immediately invited  his ministers.Making Damayanthi to come,daughter,”daughter  lived with us some how for one month.Now you are going to your father’s house.see, as per order of your father, have come to carry you” like this with much affection, with much affection  giving many ornaments, to go to vidarbha  did all preparations.

 

40)Subahu getting pallakkies( carrying cradles), made women to sit in that. He rising kandhara(neck) of elephant, sitting, went from palace with lasses group. Along with many kinds of instrumental music, along with  density of elephant horse  foot soldiers (padathi) gradually reached vidarbha city.

 

41)People of Vidarbha were very happy. Celebration only celebration. They on hearing  news of arrival of Damayanthi, danced with joy. Messengers brought that  good news,joining hands to Bhima king,”Damayanthi came” informed like this. Bhima on hearing osage(good function,good news) came to welcome along with four part army(chathuranga bala)  subahu excetras  with closeness ,brought then to his palace.

 

42)In Vidarbha city on that day as joyful good function(osage)  celebration was conducted.It’s celebration and  grandeur was beyond  description. In palace Damayanthi’s mother  on seing vdaughter with much enthusiasm, embraced tightly. Relatives and other many people  women making play produced joy.Damayanthi’s children “telling”mother has come”  ran came embraced.

 

43) Damayanthi saw her son  chandrasena with affectionate vision. She embraced him. Calling chandrasya near, by lifting made to sit on thigh.With love seing face pampered  face.Due to increase in affection, from breast of that mother milk started to oze ouy. Eyes shed tears of joy. As tears of joy flowd, she slowly consoled her children.

 

44)By grace of sri Vishnu, Bhima king  relatives Subahu excetras by treatments and hospitality  honouring treated in a suitable way and sent off. On this side Damayanthi without her husband  from day to day losing heart  was in despair. But still was remembering god continuously without gap.

SANDHI 8:

By sri vishnu’s grace, union of Nala andDamayanthi happened.Then divine drums sounded. Brahmins did tones of joy.

 

1)Romasha muni told with dharmaraja like this”high king yudhistira, do you know how was Damayanthi in her father’s house? She renunciated  all joy grandeur.Without decorating by combing head  hairs  became dustful.All worn clothes  faded and became dirty.On seing condition of her daughter mother,enquiring news of separation of Nala from her,”Nala getting away from state,leaving you in forest, how did he got separated?tell.

 

2)Damayanthi started to tell  her previous news.”Mother,Pushkara cheated and  sacked state.Husband Nala getting defeated in  stunt(cheating,deceiving) gambling,in worn single cloth went to forest. While  walking forward  From somewhere birds came and carried away  that cloth and flied away.Thereby at end had to show misership.Had to wore  half part in my saree only.?”

 

3)”later to me who was sleeping deep sleep occurred.Then without awakening me my husband left and went.When awakened without seing my husband with fear, with sorrow shedding tears, some how came to  chaidya city.There is my kindful aunt.With her i reared my body for one month. Now you made me to come here”while telling sorrow of Damayanthi increased  tears started to shed.

 

4)Damayanthi sheding tears, continued her story of sorrow! Iam luckless. I have no punya(merit). In world there are many sadhvies(good women,saints). But struggling like me like this,getting tired, teared are not there.Is there anubody like me? Among  demons,among gods, to my this husband there were no equals. Now how shall get him?  Now how shall I get him? I don’t know what to do”.

 

5)”In past what wicked  i did(thought) to whom? What difficulty i gave to elders?wastefully to whose vow(vratha) performance I obstructed? Which penance sincere  had scolded?Ayyo,This my family got broken like this!”

 

6)”My husband Nala king, where is on earth? He might have become mad to love of another woman? Getting sanyasa deeksha(initiation,consecration),might performing penance?Somewhere might have caught by wicked demons maya? Might have gone to pathala(lower worls)?,or by leaving body might have gone to other world? Where he might have gone?Akata(ayyo)! Without husband what is my fate?”   

 

7)s”Amma(mother), one who has lost husband is she fit for performing  vows? Is she fit for getting, tasteful meals,happiness,safety news? Is she eligible for that? You only think and see.I have no liberation(sadgathi)! Ayyo my condition?”

 

8)”mother, will you  make to search and get my husband? Without husband I will do prana renunciation sure”when Damayanthi told like this with cry to her words mother’s intestine squeezed.She also pitied. Wiped off tears.Told her daughter’s request with her husband Bhima king.King also knowing his duty,thought about next path.

 

9)vidarbha king Bhima suddenly made Brahmins to come. Giving them better things”searching up to sea  bring nishadha king where ever he is”ordered like this. Carrying on head king’s order, when  Brahmins went from palace Damayanthi  called and told like this.

 

10)”better among Brahmins, Nala king now leaving his king’s seriousness, will be like a common man. You may not identify him. Therefore in  places where you   go, in functions where kings are gathered, to recognise him, you should tell words which I am going to tell now.”without cloth to wear,tearing saree of wife only,leaving her in forest only, is there anybody here?”if asked like this, then he only will answer you.

 

11)”Recognising him who has answered , his words should be informed  to me without any doubt.” Telling like this Damayanthi  sent them.To find out presence of Nala ,going from there, they visited durbar halls of kings they passed through all cities in all directions.

 

12) Brahmins wandered on earth without leaving any place.Entered and saw mountains and forests here and there. Went to Ashramas of few munies.Like this searching up to    sea without counting body tiredness also, moved forward.

 

13) next a Brahmin doing begging(bhikshatane)  was met.they enquired from where  he is coming.He answered to this  that he is coming from Ayodhya city. Again they asked what is special there?”.He told”in Ayodhya one yaga(sacrifice,yajna) is going on.”on listening this repley,keeping faith in his words, directly went to Ayodhya.

 

14) Next day when  when Ruthuparna was with main rushies in durbar, Brahmins entered.Among bthem one standing in function ,lifting hand,”elders, socity people(samajikas),,having good behaviour, you should listen tto our words”like this telling loudly to be heard by all,in high tone.

 

15)”coming to forest wamdering,  taking half saree of slept wife with tiredness,leaving her there only is there anybody in this meet? This is not acceptable to king’s religion  who rules the state”like this when Brahmins announced, fearing a little in mind,with smile  Bahuka gave answer.

 

16)Bahuka intending  Brahmins,”better among Brahmins,? From where did you come? Which is your place?leaving crimeless(non crime) wife, one who has gone distant is  outcasted(bahishkritha).He is not fit for becoming husband,let it be,In durbar of  Ruthuparna king, heard your extraordinary words. This kind of work is not only cheating(deception) is not only to my wife,as husband who is under responsibility of  protection of wife husband only  this is insulting”like this told.

 

17)Brahmins who heard words of Bahuka ,in mind only,”who is this  form(svarupa) spoiled man?is he Nishadha king Nala? In case if he is not Nala why did he talk like this in durbar? Somehow without knowing any thing to tell about him, doubt rising”started to think this.Thinking like this they returned  to  Bhima king.

 

18)””amma.you  should listen to our words.We wandered whole world and saw. There was no hint of Nala king anywhere.next we went to Ayodhya city.Serving  Ruthuparna  king there was an ugly man.He is close friend of king. His name is Bahuka.”like this Brahmins told.

 

19) Brahmins continued to tell like this.”That Bahuka is  very expert in  horse education,in cooking works of palace, is famous in  durbar(assembly) of  Ruthuparna.We announced words which you told in durbar.Then Bahuka started to tell with smile.

 

20)”Brahmins, husband who has cheated wife is  wicked only. By that there is no trouble to wife.deficiency is to husband.A woman who follows pathivratha dharma(chaste religion), will not take account  charecters and defects of husband.One’s truthful life is source of liberation.”

 

21)”you should only tell.one who upholds  mistake of husband will she be pathivratha(chaste)?one who blames king ruling state will he be servent? One who denies words of father will he be  son?One who does not listen to words of guru who taught education , will he be disciple?you only tell”like this Bahuka asked.

 

22)Damayanthi on listening to words of Brahmins ,  noded head. There is no place(chance) to doubt  telling like this, started to shed tears.”he is really my husband. I have to search for a  plan   for searching him ”like this thinking in mind only, telling with father getting permission, called Sudeva again.

 

23)Damayanthi called sudeva  near, informing all matters, sent  to Ayodhya.He also accepting words of Damayanthi,going from vidarbha,walking many gavudas distance, came. On coming  emitting beautiful rathna  brightness,shining by towers, entered Ayodhya city.

 

24)Sudeva had  drawn thilaka(nama) of gopichandana.Had worn new sacred thread(janivara). He had tied axilla bag. He had held japamale(chanting garland) in  hand fingures.He had worn dhothra.Somehow  to whole world  wonder producing form, appearing like brahma, came to durbar of Ruthuparna.

 

25) As soon as sudeva came to durbar, king on seing him”who are you?From where did you come? You are elder of distant country.What is special in that country?”on asking like this he”king we came here by moving (wandering) on earth. But there is one special in Vidarbha.To there great king of kings  is coming with his family relatives, is arriving with very grandeur”told.

 

26) Sudeva told again with description.”Beggers of each state,emperors,horses,elephants,chariots, Brahmins,ministers, joises,singers, like this all people  are coming with much grandeur. There svayamvara(self selection of groom by bride) of Damayanthi is taking place.It’s celebration god only knows!”

 

27)”At night  slept Damayanthi   husband Nala leaving in forest only  left and separated. Damayanthi also  wanted to remarry. Out of ethics  remarrying for her, her father arranged svayamvara. King, you may also go there. Should necessarily go.”like this  when sudeva  told to Ruthupsarna king also desire of  getting lass(bride) happened. To go to vidarbha  he made Bahuka to come,tieing horses to chariot ordered to become prepared.

 

28)Bahuka telling ‘order’,thanking to king, returned to  palace from durbar hall.While returning  in his mind  thoughts regarding remarriage of Damayanthi, thought waves arose.”Will Damatanthi remarry?Shivashiva! who taught this to her? If it is true  she is a traiter only.She is not such. Therefore there is doubt regarding her svayamvara.”like this walked to palace.

 

29) Bahuka brought a very good horse fron the stable and tied to chariot. When he brought that chariot which can run  with speed equal to air,  to place where Ruthuparna was there,king rised it. By that time elephants,horses,foot soldiers  came and gathered. Mangala (good doing) instruments sounded. King with all royal grandeurs, went to vidarbha.

 

30) Ruthuparna told to Bahuka”Bahuka, my mind isanxious to see  her as early as possible.Otherwise no peece of mind. Therefore within this evening  in one day  to that very much distant Vidarbha  we should reach. Run chariot fast.slike this hastened him.looking at hurry of king without tolerating laugh,,Bahuka laughed.but suddenly”to my beloved wife  it happened like this forehead writing?Ayyo! who can cross over fate writing?”like this pitied within himself.

31) Bahuka started to run  chariot with much expertship. As soon as he left  bridle lose,,horses tied to chariot  to step to step,jumping, While moving with very much speed(force), cloth covering king had fallen on earth  with speed.  Suddenly to charioteer ,his blanket(cloth) had fallen, what to do for that enquired.

 

32)Bahuka to king” lord,chariot is moving with high speed.Therefore your cloth has remained  back very much. As chariot is moving fast we have come for distance of few haradaries distance forward.Let cloth go. There is no use to talk about it”.By bthese words to king  felt very happy about chariotship of  Bahuka.”within blinking eye lids  you have made to run  yojanas distance.,you are true charioteer.you are fit to get this award.”like this ptaused him.

 

33)next at some distance while passing through forest, seing one big thara tree, king with Bahuka,”charioteer, tell how many  fruits and leaves are there in that tree,from here only without counting tell ,let me see”when told like this, Bahuka”king,today your head is spoiled. Therefore this is not possible by me. You only without concealing, if you tell it is good”on telling like this, king told correct  count to Bahuka.

 

34) Whether count told by king is right or wrong, to test this,Bahuka getting down from chariot, came to base of tree.Counted fruits and leaves in  branches. As they were in padma number(digit) became very happy.Telling”time has come  nearfor  winning  pushkara”telling like this, while coming back,  kalipurusha came in front.

 

35) Kalipurusha with Nala “king, to examine your truth,made  to  trouble   you in  excess. Don’t pity. Next onwards I will not trouble you.I will leave you and went today only. Let good happen to you”told.To Nala on Kalipurusha ,though he was angry for troubling him causelessly,without giving curse by  scolding, excused his mistake”.

 

36)Romasha told to Dharmaraya like this.”king, In world relative of poor, Nala sending off kalipurusha in forest only, returned came rised chariot.to Ruthuparna taught horse education which was known to him.Apart from that from him learnt tree education(vrikshavidya).

 

37) Bahuka held bridle in his hand. Telling caution  to Ruthuparna,,pushing tied horses, rapped(chapparisu).Horses also doing humkara  in hurry, ran. Is it possible to describe long run of those horses. Gathered people seing their  run with wonder stood there only.On earth nobody is equal to  that charioteer(sarathi).”like this Romasha  described to yudhistira.

 

38)On one side sound of neighing of  horses, on another side stiff kirikiri  sound  of  chariot wheels,on another side  charioteers chariot running  celebration sound,,from one more side, chariot’s axis’s jhenkara. At the place of  all these sounds,flying red dust to sky height due to force of running, Ruthuparna king was coming.

 

39) By arrival of Ruthuparna king, Bhima king  became  happy. He calling ministers with much enthusiasm,asked to bring Ruthuparna king to his palace. Later wecoming with family relatives, removing population group,,without disturbance to guest, arranged to remain in another palace. Apart from that giving gifts excetras remunirations, he   did hospitality with  much honour.

 

40)Ruthuparna excetras  coming from Ayodhya news  also touched ear of Damayanthi.On hearing that she was filled with joy.She”By Shiva’s grace today  my punta has given fruit.Today my sorrow fire got put offProgress of vnabgala(good) happened.”like this she told with her friend.

 

41)On this side Ruthuparna underwent sorrow. He”Ayyo to magic of that brahmin’s words, becoming mad, I have come here!I became fool.Che! what a shy! Is it small?To thi shy  shall I have to give head?what shall I do for this?”telling like this, he who is good charectered   started to sorrow by count and count.

 

42)Vidarbha making to come, minister,relatives, all  arranged durbar.Ruthuparma came with Bahuka there,shining by lines of beads, sat on rathna peeta. At that time only dance by lasses singing were  were arranged. By archestra of  these groups(gosties), king’s durbar  became shined( charmful).

 

43)Damayanthi sitting behind  lasses   saw shortness of charioteer   with slant eye. on seing who might be this short(dwarf)?  No any signs of beauty  equal to that Nala emperor.His shape is ugly.form is ugly”she thought.  

 

44)Damayanthi  tried examined and saw face brightness of that charioteer,,brightless body,  torn beard having fallen hairs.what ever done, secret of ugliness of  body of Bahuka  was not known.By that she could not recognise  Nala.At end she”to examine me  Nala might have got thi ugliness?Hara hara! God only knows!”like this became excited.

 

45)Durbar function ended. Peoplewent to their houses. Damayanthi came to her harem(anthahpura),”I could not identify Nala” thinking like this, at end sent few ladies(women) to kitchen.they came to kitchen and seing  hand skill  shown by Nala in cooking,,with joy, directly came to  requested

 

46)Women who returned from kitchen to Damayanthi”mother, work skill of cook is not sufficient how ever much praised. There is no women in three worlds who can become equal to him in cooking(pakavbidya) though searched.

 His cooking is a special power only.Abba! that is magic(indrajala).It is impossible to understand. We examined all foods. All tasteful (rasayana) foods are also  ready.how did he prepare them?At what time did he prepare?this we can’t tell”told like this.

 

47) on thi side nurses(maid servents) each one examined charecters of Bahuka and found out.Apart from that they gave details of  all descriptions.She on hearing those”Therefore he must be Nala only.But still I will examine and see”telling like this, with joy called s near her playing children,

 

48) Damayanthi gave bath to her tender children. She made to wera  golden jhari, silk cloth.made to wear better ornaments.Later telling to nurses sent them to Bahuka.Nurses carried then and left them near kitchen hall. Nala on seing children who  were moving here and there felt very happy.

 

49)sBahuka lifting children   making to sit on thigh  was embracing and kissing. Saw them till his eyes  got tired. On seing only tears added in eye.s tears droped down.Mind pitied inside only. She found all these conditions of Bahuka by standing behind  through window.At end”that Bahuka is real Nala only”deciding like this, with spilling love came near her mother.

 

50)”mother that Bahuka is Nala king only. No doubt in that. He is not at all sutha. Wearing ugly dress  he has come with show off(Adambara).Nala who is high among kings has shown maya. I know his true form. Make him to come” like this Damayanthi told with her mother.

 

51) Bhima king’s wife  getting permission of king, made Bahuka to come. Bahuka  also came to palace and sat. Damayanthi wearing dirty saree ,with beauty not showing it, was standing there only. Nala saw her and bent his head with shyness.

 

52)Damayanthi started to tell  to husband”you are thilaka like to moon family. Worldlord.,punya person, who can talk favourable words, have appreciable charecters,truthful, In such you wicked minded pushkara  did he got angry? Did you became so poor so as not to fight with him?Ayyo enough! You are very much  strong shouldered.,you should protect me”

 

53)Damayanthi with consoling words,”This is no other than fruit of karma made in past birth. To you are king,condition of serving Ruthuparna king came! All these are fruit of reduced punya(nerit). When it is so no use in getting bored.You are good charectered. You will not leave me who is your wife. Should protect” telling like this, did namaskarams to feet of her husband.s

 

54) Nala lifted head his wife who fell on his feet. Wiping freely pouring tears  from eyes from saree border  told like this.”syou are honourable, simply why do nyou get bored? Don’t be upset.s are you not knowing dullard? Who are women like you in world?You are guru nto all sadhvies(good women). One word I will tell.You don’t desire me,go”

 

55)”I am disobedient. Kindles who deceived you, Wicked self who left you  in forest and went, Will anybody remember outcasted(bahishkrutha)?mad!don’t remember,  Today svayamvara is going to happen to you.Marry whom you like”like this Nala said.

 

56)The words which Nala spoke  was like pricking ears from  Iron rods to Damayanthi. Her eyes filled with tears.”again to me worry of svayamvara  did you think like this?Ayyo god, At least when you listen news of savayamvara  you will come and not otherwise” like this Damayanthi expressed  outside what was in her mind.

 

57)Damayanthi with Nala”I have believed you only very much. Your beauty is in my mind. To you who know matter of all regions  why this ugliness show? Your beauty(handsomeness) is  is very famous. Your beauty is equal to that of Vishnu. When it so why such theless(kernelless)  words nof description? enough” she told.

 

58) Damayanthi pouring tears again started to tell.”king, is it right to kill  a  has missed step and fallen, throne elephant  is it justified? Am I not your wife who have believed you only. You should not talk such harsh words with me. I underwent many difficulties in forest. But still  I protected body.Now I saw youNow I have no subordination of prana.”

 

59)”hey king, to wife who has undergone maximum sorrow, how much possible  to such sorrowful wife, is it suitable to talk this?to see you once directly with eyes ,with this desire once I servents to search and bring.Because of your Maya form,  without identifying you  found difficult. At last  I heard and came to know that there is a new expert horse  rider(charioteer)  with Ruthuparna king of Ayodhya.”

 

60)Knowing about charioteer  in Ayodhya  I sent Brahmin Sdeva to you  immediately. He came to you  to asked questions  though you had given correct answers  there was doubt!s For it’s solution giving reason of svayamvara  I made you to come. What is wrong in doing like this.?”

 

61)King,”king, You are fit for appreciation of  people. At the time of marriage  I gave my youth as gift to you.apart from that,in body,in mind  in talk in work, will no wish(think) bad to you. You my husband  is my fate bthat you should feel.King, hold hand  support and protect”.

 

62)”what I have told is true. To that yama,varuna, air,Indra  excetra dikpalakas 

(direction maintainers) Manmatha’s father vasudeva is witness”like this Damayanthi  while telling, suddenly sky speech was heard. Air present in cloud system,  told true fact to king Nala.”skilled king, nno need to doubt about Damayanthi.She  is dignified female. Holy in world. Accepting such wife  you should protect”.

 

63) Nala king heard speech of air god.Accepting those words,”gods, I was caught and pained by  tric of kalipurusha. But by your darshan(vision)  I crossed difficulties.I am blessed.I don’t want anything in world.”like this requested.Apart from that when needed birds will give cloth(hacchada).remembering this situation in mind,  remembered those birds.s when he remembered, beautiful peethambara(yellow cloth)  appeared in front of eye.

 

64) Nala wore that peethambara .Suddenly his ugliness disappeared.He started to shine with  beautiful,mind fascinating  body.At the same time good indicating   gods instruments sounded. They poured rain of jasmine flower. Divine lasses  blessing Nala king put akshathas on his head.

 

65)On one side gods  sang and praised Nala.yama,sun,brahma, excetras ‘let good jappen’like this announced. On another side Damayanthi  came and did namaskarams to husband’s feet. She who did namaskarams  Nala lifted up with joy  and embraced.On another place Brahmins shined. Kindful Dayamaya  gods grace  Nala and Damayanthi underwent.

SANDHI 9:

Nala king beated  brother Pushkara’s army in war.Making him to defeat in gambling got state back. Apart from that along with Damayanthi  started to rule with joy.

 

1)    Romasha rushi started to tell development of  Nala to yudhistira.“Dharmaraya,If  progress  and development of Nala  and Damayanthi’s  great celebration  if described  it has no stop.Nala completing baths excetras,wearing cloth, wearing rathana ornaments, as bright  rised throne and sat.

 

2)Seing  shining Nala who is sitting on throne, other many kings saw “who is he?Is he creater brahma? Or Devndra? Or three world beauty  Manmatha? Lakshmipathi Vishnu? Moon enlighting with marks(moles)? Or Mangalakara(good doing ) shiva god no world famous Nala emperor?From where did he come now? Fine” like this admired with joy.

 

2)    Whole city came saw Nala  with joy gave gift.Ayodhya king Ruthuparna  along with ministers  came. Apart from that  he best beads golden ornaments, other materials  brought keeping in front of Nala  joining hands  with politeness requested.

 

4)Ruthu parna addressing(sanbodhisi) Nala emperor  appreciating ,”you are knig of moon family. Good formed, war winners,By bold enemy elephants  are like lions,kindful,I am of inert(jada) natured,wicked, Among men ignorant.Without knowing my characters  or defects, you should protect me with love” like this joined hands and requested.

 

5)”Hey emperor, I am ignorant who can’t ubderstand  who you are,vivekaless,poli(rascal), Did I understand while bringing tieing horses to chariot ?sno. I am a criminal who made to do  work of charioteer(sarathi). You should not give attention to my mistakes.excuse me. Without keeping any dakshinya(hesitation,kindlessness), should  protect me.telling like Ruthuparna  did namaskarams to feet of Nala.

 

6)Seing the pain of mind of Ruthuparna  Nala consoled him.Apart from that,  gave plenty of rathna ornaments  to himemitting blossomed laugh “Ayodhya lord, I have no even a thill of anger in you.” Like this while honouring  Maithreya named Brahmarsh  i muni  along with other munijanas  came.

 

7)On seing Maithreya  king touching his both feet, did sastanga(eight parts) namaskarams.Lifting head of  king who did namaskarams  with smile sitting”Nala emperor, Vision Vishnu  who is liberation giver is always upon you.When it is so there is nothing in the world  which is impossible to you”told.

 

8) Maithreya made to grow his talks.”Nala to you kalipurusha  gave much trouble. You became separated from wife and children and  experienced severe difficulties. Though you got pained ,baked you did not leave  truth. There fore  you   got   all again. By vow celebration (performance)  dine by your wife who is high born,by this punya(merit,good deed),By this you got all treasures. When it is like this who is equal to  you  in world?”

 

9)”Nobody is as cruel as that of  kalipurusha. Previously he avoided place(position) of Vishnu only. Made brahma’s head to fly off.If he touches no survival. He was  waiting  since long time to  touch and destroy you. But it was not possible. A last with stubbornness  waited  and caught you one day”

 

10)You are not like other kings. Direct mahavishnu’s form(antiform,image). With you play of kalipurusha did not run. Therefore without standing with you much time,went quickly.Emperor, today you will get whole kingdom. You will shine as great king”like this maithreya  admired  charecters  Nala.

 

11) Brahmarshi maithreys blessed Nala with joy other rushies  doing manthra recital  putting akshathas  blessed and enjoyed. To king sitting on throne, mutthaides  enlighted mangalarathi with love. Women gathering together with celebration, sang  shobhana.

 

12) On one side played pipes(thutthuri). Did cine(shankha) sound. Bheri(drum),Mridanga excetra instruments  they played beautifully.Kings along with many kinds of instrumental musicsannouncements) Gave re gift to king Nala. Munies wives to Damayanthi”let mangalya bhaghya remain long” blessed like this.

 

13) vidarbha king  Bhima   showd hospitality to high munies. To Brahmins gave gold,cows, aaand other invaluable(amulya) things as donation. Honoured Nala king by giving  all ornaments,elephants,horses,chariots .Talking  tasteful with town people sent off all relatives.

 

14)All those who were present in durbar dispersed. Beeggers  admired. Gathered kings getting send off went to their capitals.Ruthuparna stayed for one more day,next day doing namaskarams to  Nala king  returned to Ayodhya. Chaidya king also returned to  his town.

 

15)Nala was with Damayanthi  in his father inlaw’s house  in vidarbha  for a perion of one year  with grandeur and happiness.later deciding to go to Nishagha city, With Bhima king  thought(discussed)  next  thing(course).

 

16)Bhima king “ To nishadha city carry army and attack.That shyless pushkara what great he is! No use in simply wandering,rise up start” on telling like this  all kings  went. Soldiers took sharp(severe)  weapons.As indicated by Nala walked forward.

 

17) To horses made to wear  jinu(......?)> chariots moved in groups. Intoxicated elephants  walked closely. Foot soldiers gathered. Innumerable soldiers gathered and came. Like sea sound(roar) bheris(drums) sounded.Like this  along with four part army(chathurangabala), with valients, and war bheries(drums) Nala king went.ss

 

18) Tied horses around  to chariot. To that chariot which was ready to go to war, Nala king did pradakshina.lifting weapon up, rised it. Along with mangala instruments  army went. Maharathas  along with batch of valients  and with sound of horns went.

 

19)The chariot which Nala rised in not ordinary. Previously  it was time when Nala went to forest living. It was chariot in which his children were  brought to Vidarbha. In it  there was golden kalasha(holy vessel)  which was shining by Navarathnas.In beauty it was shining like residence house of  Manmatha.

 

20) patas  tied on chariot,jalaries(nets)  shining   in lines and lines,flags, Satthige,chamaras(fans), covering sky destroyed it’s  colour. The sound of  mangala(good)songs  of appreciation of king  increased. Great army started to rush forward. With  this war celebration  chariot carrying Nala ,flowing as though land is tearing, reached Nishadha city.

 

21)Soldiers of Nishadha king,  covering   nishadha city attacked.On seing their attack dikpalakas(direction maintainers), feared. Frontline foot soldiers, attacking  holding what is important, took under their control.At that time  news of attack of  Nala  pushkara came to know. His anger increased,”Nala with severe anger is coming to fight!” roaring like this, he getting agry became ready to  make war.

 

22) Pushkara calling  army chief(commander ib chief), to him”Due to sorrow of  having lost state, to get it in return to try for one time  making mind might have come for war.All right,no mistake in it. You ask to come all our soldiers. Immedeately he should be arrested in war,go” like this  senfing order his sea like big army joined.

 

23)Army of pushkara became prepared to war. Valiant soldiers ,shield,sword, knife,axe,club,barji,Balleha,shula(sharp eapon),wheel,katari,maruddha,godige, sabala, excetras, bytaking weapons with stiffness facing army of enemies, started to fight.

 

24) Soldiers rushed to war field. Seing opposite parties  coming in groups ‘SMALL DOTS Bhapu! You also will fight?” shouting like this, beated them. Making war soldiers to run away, chasing back beated. Blaming foot soldiers  piercing with shula killed.

 

25)Pushkaras soldiers  densely coming  horses  binded kadidikkidaru(..........?). rushing forward coming  valients , made themeless(thirulilladanthe?).  making gods to wonder, world wrestlers  fought in war. Blood dtarted to flow on earth as flood.

 

26)Rathikas(one who sits on chariot for war,not charioteer), to  help them to do  war, to drive chariot, awakened their their  charioteers.In arrow usage showd  high skill. Cutting heads and trunks of enemy valients  made to roll on earth. On both side many people vomited(bled) blood.Horses tied to  chariots missed steps. Warspldiers  poured arrows rain. Soldiers  on both sides  got wounded and suffered.

 

27) In Nala’s army many underwent  into various kinds of deaths. Heads of many soldiers rolled and fell. Eye brow became exploded. Arms were cut . bones were powdered,Thighs got broken. Brain in the head became pieces. By breakage of head top(netthi), broke and  blood flood was formed.Like this in many numbers soldiers becoming sick, without able to bear, returning back on seing this Nala king became angry.

 

26)Nala called charioteer(sarathi) told”Pushkara’s army occupying, by crossing,is coming. Immedeately turn horses  this side. Cutting killing all of them  through back I will remove their guts(intestines).” Telling like this, investing arrow in bow  on shouting, whole earth  got tumulted with fear.

 

29)to army which returned  back with fear on seing  war enthusiasm of Nala, felt as though jiva(life) has come. By hearing continuously sounding  rana bheri(war drum), got irritated. With army with emotional excitement, Nala’s family relatives mixed. Suddenly Nala pilled arrows up to ear  and shooted.s they cut heads of enemy kings into pieces.

 

30) Seen anywhere arrows only arrows.Like fire pouring rain of kenda(burning charcoal), earth filled with arrows. On pushkara’s army, army sea of enemy king, crossed and flowd. Those who came in front, their heads rathikas(one who sits on chariot for doing war and not charioteer), cut and plated ball. To hit of arrows of Nala king, horses,foot shoulders  became destroyed.

 

31)s Nala giving place  by plan  made enemies to go inside and beated. To hit  they as though hit by stiff thunderbolt  became powdered.enemey army receded back. Severe valients became wounded.Having boldness ,with enthusiasm, hitting hands of enemies, on breaking, throwing weapons in hands there and here only, returned back.Then Nala shooted arrows on those who were returning. Apart from that Nala cut and teared army of Pushkara.s

 

32)When wind blowd strong giant cloud mass  without receding can’t stand. In same way  to arrows shooted by Nala enemy kings and ravuthas  rolled to ground getting cut into pieces. Valients started to run  to different places where ever seen. Enemies became defeated.by failure(defeat,illsuccess)  with mind depression  without seing what is there on head, ran away.ss

 

33) s In war done by Nalaking, four part army of poshkara  ot destroyed. To hit of his  arrow  six thousand chariots got destroyed. Sixteen thousand elephants were killed rolling falling to land. One lakh of foot soldiers(padathies)  went to yama world. Enemy army receded back. Who knows condition of army which has survived?

 

34) on pushkara’s side one by one started to accept failure. Horse army  throwing weapon in hand,getting down from horse,,as sign of defeat, rised tree and huttha(snake house). Due to wound pain  caused by fight,suffering,,shouting, as sorrowful,”save life” requesting like this started to beg and joined hands.sFoot soldiers keeping figure in mouth by biting, indicated their surrenderness.

 

35) On seing failure of pushkara’s army, one coming to him,”king, See our army.It is receding.s It has become impossible  for army to face.to hit ot of  pain of  arrows of Nala, our soldiers missing step, dispersed  and rolledIt has no stop. When it is so,  what is fate of our army?”when told like this, pushkara becoming spark with anger, made to come his remaining army.

 

36) pushkara immediately came to house. Made to bring big weapons.To valients gave good bows and arrows.elephant,horse, foot soldiers groups  came and united. War horn  started to sound so as to boil ald spill valience rasa. Then making preparations  Pushkara walked himself  war field.

 

37) Anger of pushkara had rised to head top(netthi). He with anger lifting up dharma horn  which was used by Naishadha in  war”today  enemy Nala got victory!abba! Now negligence should not be done. Going rising on enemies,killing all of them will do them nameless to tell”like this roared. Then minister joining hands to him, with politeness started to request.

 

36)Minister to pushkara “king, to any enemy it is not possible to win Nala. He is fearful to enemies. When it is so, who will win him in war? Gods and kings are not able to stand  in front of him. What about remaining humans. You leave this mad wickedness of war.Welcoming that Nala king,,making agreement with him,again gambling with him, to win in that is right path”adviced like this.

 

39)Minister without preventing at that stage,”king, victory lakshmi  has joined Nala who is son of veerasena.If his army is seen, that is also very high. Ruthuparna,chaidya,Vidarbha, excetra kings  are in that army. When it like this who is equal to Nala in war?Without thinking these if you fight with Nala death is sure.”like this   awakened  pushkara .

 

40) Pushkara liked words of minister. To follow those words is better thinking like this, came to Nala. There with him”king why to fight between us only? What is profit from it? Therefore let us stop war.Let all kings here be seing. Some how we are experienced in gambling. For your mind joy let us play gambling again”telling like this, laughed slightly.

 

41)To words od pushkara Nala “pushkara what you tell  let us do so, you are afraid of war. In  gambling however you are  valiant! You called me to gambling! Right.There is nothing wrong in it. To me which ever they may be(war or gambling). War or gambling,i will surely win you. I know  all your plans of deceiving. War or gambling  which ever you like do it. I agree”told.

 

42) Pushkara brought Nala  to his palace. By greatness of kalipurusha  previously he had won Nala. He had thought this time also he will win. Arranged durbar by calling  desired to come.All of them sat in their  seats. Suddenly bringing dices  kept in front of players.

 

43)Pushkara with Nala “king if you win in paged play I will leave and give my state lss to you.If I win  you have to give  Damayanthi  to me” like this kept challenge in front. To that Nala  with greatness of knowing trees on earth  thinking that he will win in pagade game also, getting boldness in mind only, accepted for gambling.

 

44) Right game started. Nala and Pushkara threw  dices.”duga is not coming. Ittige came”excetra  with force of talk,,with joy played well.To Nala what ever was grasped in mind that only started to fall.Gradually he came to know method of throwing dice. Skill of throwing increased. In a way to produce wonder to observers(audiens) Nala  king  got success and wondered.

 

45)As soon as he lost; Pushkara’s face became small. Happiness disappeared. Good charectered Nala king rised throne. At that time  chief munies  blessed as ´let Sri Vishnu bless to you”.

 

46) War drum(ranabheri) sounded. Gods group gathering together at  poured flower rain on  body of Nala king. Scholars,sajjanas(good people,gentleman),kings, btreated him with devotion and honour. The whole earth  danced with joy. Nala king sitting on throne shined like  Vishnu.

 

 

 

47) Citizena with joy brought gifts and gave getting darshan(vision). Gods danced with joy.Ministers,relatives, joined hands and did namaskarams and sat in function.At that timemutthaides  enlighted Mangalarathi to king.

 

48) Nala knig  talking to sorrowful pushkara  with love  likable to mind, calling with honour consoled.”pushkara don’t be upset. All these kalipurushas greatness. I underwent his trouble,nothing wrong with you. Don’t think something too much. I have no any kind of anger or stubbornness with you even a thill size. You honouring us be ruling state  as before,go”told.

 

49) On listening   to words of courtesy of Nala  poshkara sgyed. He with politeness, “ yes,I did a mistake.I traited you. To me there is no liberation(sadgathi).King  I am ungrateful. Excuse me and protect. You are gentleman(sajjana), high, show kindness upon me who is characterless.”telling like this  did namaskarams to feet of Nala.

 

50) Nala  king lifting him up  pushkara who did  sastamgga (eight parts)namaskarams    stretching body,”che!Che!  don’t repent. Karma  fruit of past life is troubling like this.what can anybody do to this?”telling like this  joyful with his  polite character, gave gold ornaments as remuneration. Apart from that, getting bringing golden chariot  with honour, sent him off

 

51)Nala made to call thim relatives,,chief ministers,scholars,kings,Shanubhogs,well wishers,gurus and elders,valients, minister samanthas(sub kings?),wrestlers,females, actors, leaders  and good people . Cakking like thay  honoured them by giving gifts.

 

52) Nala king  sat on shining  with brightness  of gold and rathnas,On his both sides  lasses were blowing fans(chamaras). On both sides  ministers,purohiths, wrestlers,  singers and women  were sitting

 

53)On this side in vidarbha  Damayanthi occupied by worries, with her friends”did king  got victory in war against  pushkara? Or got defeated? In don’t know. How is grace vision of Srikrishna upon him?”while  telling this  ministers which Nala had sent came.

 

54)”mother,We came from Nishadha. As per Nala’s order  we have brought their(his) message. He has won pushjara easily. He has accepted(received) from him. Now he has asked to bring you. Amma now you should start” like this requesting Ministers did namaskarams to feet of Damayanthi.

 

55) On hearing words of minister  Damayanthi ,felt boundless joy. To ministers who brought this good news  gave dresses(gifts)  as prize. Suddenly went to her father ,doing namaskarams, with politeness”father, from Nishadha ministers have brought good news..you should send me tomorrow only.”told. With joy Bhima king embraced her.

 

56)Bhima  king was very happy. He made to remove various kinds of   materials from treasury. To  valiant soldiers gave shining  golden weapons. To good charectered relatives   gave navarathna ornaments as donation. To trave to go to Nishadha city  needed preparations he orfered.As soon as he orderedtienig  patas(flags?,cloth) of  awards and medals   decorated chariots.

 

57) put jenu to horses.  To elephants made  to wear war shields. In kalashas at the tip of chariot  fixed white umbrella. Valiant soldiers  lifted up shining  weapons to hand. By sides of king started to blow  chamaras(fans) by lifting.Like this Vidarbha drowned in  celebration of Damayanthi’s journey.

 

58) beadful chariots came and reached. Pallakkies shined in line and line. Trumpeting  intoxicated elephants gathered. Noise of mavythas(elephant care takers)  spreas . along with horses  bouncing   with enthusiasm, horse riders  came and gathered.  Like this gathered four part army  spreading beauty of satthiges(..........?) in line, stood prepared to go to Nishadha.

 

59) Women  came in groups and groups and gathered.s few rised up chariot andsat. Few sat on horses. Few sat on back of elephants. In front instruments were sounding with serious tone. With all these grandeurs Damayanthi went to Nishadha city.

 

60)Damayanthi who was ready to journey,”god,paramathma,,vasudeva ,protect “like this rememdering god, along with her children rised rathnaful chariot. By her front and backside,  group of womwn was coming by walk. Damayanthi who was filled with joy entered Nishadha city.

 

61)On seing Damayanthi  nishadha city, those city residents ,by ipstairs of mansions, through  windows of upstairs , stood seing. On seing Damayanthi  seing those who were seing  towards own side,emitting smile, by seing enjoying those who  dance and sing, came to palace.

 

62)Damayanthi getting down from chariot at great door of palace, became ready to enter inside. At that time panyanganes(............?)  with much celebration  lifting arathi welcomed.Group of munies By grace of Srivishnu  live happily” blessing like this  put manthrakshathas.

 

63)Damayanthi bending head accepting blessings  entered palace. She came to Nala,touched his lotus feet  and did namaskarams. Nala also along with his wife and children, appeared as mangalamaya(mangalaful).

 

64) Nala by grace of Srihari  becoming emperor, ruled state. He was not ordinary. Punyodaya (punya riser),,good charectered,warvalient, clean,,to sea of muni family  produces joy like moon.veda scolar,apart from that  king’s holy family.”

 

65)Like  this  producing joy to sea of muni family  like moon,Romasha muni to Dharmaraja,   told story of Nala king in detail. Dharmaraya also tasting summary of story,,with joy, with Romasha,”Muni,on hearing story which you have  told, mind has bloated. By grace of your feet, I got luck of listening it”telling like this, did namaskarams to feet of Muni.

 

66)Again Yudhistira “you are  god rushi. By your words amrutha , you made us holy. Now there is nothing impossible to us.I am grateful to you.Let it be, what is condition of Arjuna who is your brother?how is he? Witll you inform?” on telling like this, Romasha told like this.”Yudhistira  why do you worry for Arjuna(partha)? He is with safety in Amaravathi.

 

67)But among them four only, not like all They are beautiful than others. High in character behaviour.Those fourare  Damayanthi,Sithadevi, Droupadi, and chandramathi. Those king’s wives  Are supreme devotees of Srivishnu also”.

 

68)”Dharmaraya,  when there is your throne queen Droupadi why fear? Due to her pathvrathya(chastity) you will get your state treasure. Apart from that all your desires will get fulfilled. Therefore don’t  sorrow  in waste. Tomorrow only your brother Arjuna will come. You leave worries and be happy.

 

69)”shiva  is helpful to you. All gods and demons are your well wishers. Lakshmipathi srivishnu is your heartfriend only. When all  such have come to your gelp  why worry? Which is work which is impossible to you?king, State will surely reach your hand. Apart from that enemies will also perish.”like this  Romasha filled boldness.

 

70) Romasha giving  advice to  dharmaja,getting sent off,  along with muni groups, returned to hia ashrama. On this side yudhistira , with happy mind, Nakula Sahadeva, Droupadi and Dhoumya  excetra munies, came to leaf hut.

 

71)”To those people who listen to this Nalacharithre, god joy in iha(this world), empire post, will grace. But  in this world holy self  story of Nala  who  refuse negligence ,  will not remain without getting rourava hell .s”Like this Romesha  romasha told story of Nala.

 

72)In world honouring this punya story, writing,reading listening, to sadhus and sajjanas(good people), will get liberated.Apart from that visible to Vedas,who accepts  namaskarams by gods ,such Adinarayana  will protect all sajjanas(good people).
