guru sri allamaprabhu vachanas (100)translated by dr.raveendra hosadurga















            Tramslation of selected  guru  allamaprabhu   vachanas from book ‘bhajanaamrutha-ananda sharadhi’ by dr raveendra hosadurga  published by udayachala prakashana,sadguru sevashrama, jogimatti road, chithradurga Karnataka.my namaskarams to sri sadguru  paramahamsa saraswathi  srikanth guruji.i am grateful to  publishers .my namaskarams to all gurujies and devotees:
Translation is my hobby.please  excuse and  correct if there are any mistakes.

1)openion(stand) of god:
Like  treasure  behind earth|
Like lightning hidden behind cloud
 like mirage(mareechike) hiden behind bayalufield)
like light hiden behind  eyes,guheshwara your stand(existence)

2)path walked by guru:
In kruthayuga (epoch)if guru hits disciple(shishya)  amd  taught intellect
Told  all right mahaprasada ayya.
In threthayuga if guru hits   disciple and teaches intellect
Told  all right mahaprasada ayya.
In dvapara yuga(epoch) if guru hits disciple and taught   
Told  all right mahaprasada ayya.
In kaliyuga  if guru   teaches disciple by thanking told yes mahaprasada  ayya|
 Guheshwara  I wondered for your  rules(kattale,bindings) of    time  valience(kalithana|

3) relation fron where:
Where is mango tree?where is kokila?
Relation from where to where?
Aamalaka  of hill,salt of sea
Relation from where to where?
To guheshwara linga and me relation from where to where ayya.

4)fruitful trial is needed:
Doing agriculture if there is no paddy to food
Why severity of  that agriculture  ayya ?
Doing  purchasing and   selling I plan of house won’t run
Why is that trouble of  purchasing and selling   ayya ?
Doing service of lord if astabhogas(eight enjoyments) are not got
Why trouble of that  service(plaga) ayya|

5)as devotee  if bhava(this world) does not go
Guru giving that upadesha(teachings) ,taken disciple
Let maari go in these two peoples  house
Guheshwara linga  go off that side.

6)telling that they know akshara with ego are  many(countless)
Learning vaak advaitha from guru and elders given advice
They argue, they don’t know pros and cons,don’t know devotion
Don’t know liberation,,don’t know logic(tharka,yukthi)again drag to argument
Went,guheshwara like maari to salekonda (………………..?) maari.

7)by which this body is made(formed):
Oil is different,wick is different, both joining became lamp
Puna is different,sin is different,both joining became  body.
 Should not remain ,should remain  without submitting desire  stomach(body,odalu))
Should be no  nimisha(desire……………?),body feeling reducing,,before maya light joins air,one who can do devotion is  is god,guheshwara.

8)which is maaya?:
They tell gold is maya ,gold is not maya
They tell female is maya ,female is not maya
They say soil is maya,oil is not maya
Desire in front of mind itself is maya see guheshwara.

No stunt is needed:
9)fearing to thief if we enter forest  will tiger not eat?
Fearing to tiger if huttha(snake house) is entered will not serpent eat?
If we fear to time and become devotee will not karma eat?
Like this  yielding to mouthof death dress weares what do you say guheshwara.

10) sujnana should bud out:
Lamp is there wick is there
When lamp enlights  without oil where is brightness?
Guru is there linga is there  
till sujnana is produced  (buds out)
where is devotion  hearing soham,without doing if  daasoha 
 is not done overdenies guheshwara.

11)for which to die:
Dieng for desire  crore, died due to amisha(desire)  is  crore
Died due to  gold, female, soil is crore  guheshwara guheshwara
I don’t  know  died  anybody  for you|

12) do before beging(requesting):
If capableof doing  before beging  is devotee|will valiant jangama beg?
For one who begs and who gets begged have no prasada guheshwara|

13) if there is istalinga  (liked linga)  no other worry is needed:
When in amrutha ocean why  worry of cow?
When in meru  mandira why worry of washing world?
When in guru why  worry of thathva education?
When in prasada why worry of  liberation?
When there is linga in karasthala why worry of liberation tell guheshwara?

14)for linga sincere person no other vratha is needed
Ome who holds haalanema (rule of milk) wil be born as cat|
One who holds dal gram(kadale)  nema(rules) will be born as horse|
One who holda aggavani (worship water) nema(rule)  will be born as frog|
One who holds  flower nema will be born as  bee.these are outside  shatsthala|
If finds those who have no devotion and sincerity guheshwara does not like|

15)one should live life graced by god|
One who does not know how to climb given horse ,
desiring for other horse is neither valiant nor bold|
for this reason,all three worlds
carrying hallana(jinu thadi) are getting tired|
from where they will know guheshwara linga|

16) giving thrividha for thrividha:
Who knows  nithya(eternal)  of thrividha,anithya(temporary) of thrividha?
Giving thrividha to thrividha  if thrividha prasada can be taken
I call him thrividhanaatha,he is valiant
He is bold he is in guheshwara linga  achcha prasadi|

17)sathi –pathi:
If sathi is devotee  need not fear for dirt(hole?)|
If  husband   is devotee  not to fear of caste
Body jof sathi pathi reducing
After linga becomes pathi(husband) is there husband to wife
Is there husband to sathi(wife),after taking equal share will anybody take more guheshwara|

18)prasada(naivedya) –anna:
To   touch  oneself and giving prasada
Giving withot touching  oneself is ogara(food,rice)
Taking after giving to linga is prasadi,for this reason
 Like this  apart from  servent  no prasada guheshwara|

19) action –behavior is needed:   
What if  food(rice,kattogara) egg is tied on the stomach
Will hunger go?
what if linga is established on anga(devotee)will he become devotee?if kept stone is available on mele(densely grown group of plants) is that stone linga?
Is that mele devotee? Is kept person guru?
If I find people like this  I shy guheshwara|

20)body itself is temple:
legs became my temple!body itself had become temple ayya!
My tongue bell,head golden kalasha(tower) what is this   ayya?
Head had become throne to linga ayya,guheshwara
Your pranalinga establishment(prathiste)  was as though not displaced(pallata)  ayya!
As there is temple in body,again why other temple
Did not tell for two!guheshwara,if you become stone what shall I do?

21)darkness-ignorance:
On holding hand darkness ayya
Above   seing eyes darkness ayya
Darkness on remembering  mind ayya
Dark is this side only ayya
guheshwara is only on that side ayya|

22)belief and interest:
If drinks(liquors) are believed  will bisese not come(attach,infect)?
if   there is goodness will  prasada body  gets spoiled?
If prana becomes  linga  is prana different?
Know prana  linga prasada and you see|before
Naadabindu emits,chased adi prasada,guheshwera .
Your sharanas.

23)non differentiation feel:
If you ask to remember what shall I remember ayya?
My body had become kailaasa
Mind itself had become linga,body itself had become  bed
If remembered is there god?if seen is there devotee?
Guheshwara had  mixed .

24) sense of god:
Veda without understanding we got spoiled
Epics  without knowing how to complete  got spoiled
Scripture  without achieving got spoiled
Elders without knowing they themselves got spoiled
Their ntellect had eaten themselves,
where will they know you guheshwara.

25)how should be coming(suludaata):
Storm blowing  tree breaking without giving intimation
Mixing with cool air  fragrance should come as though coming.
If coming  should come as direct jangama
If stood should stand erect(straight)  as devotee
Coming without becoming jangama
Standing without  becoming devotee double bhrastas(out of order) what to say guheshwara.

26)one who can  hold mind is real light:
Not by wandering  wandering coming,not bathing in lakh of gangas
Not by treading touching  tip pf meru mountain
Not by touching body by daily rules(nema)
Daily daily remembering mind on that that day, flowing mind that and this side
If can be made  to stand on linga,pure   mere light guheshwara linga

27) virat worship of omnipresent(vishwavyaapaka):
Sky itself is chest,sky is  aggavani(worship water)
Moon and sun both are flowers see
brahma dhupa,Vishnu lamp,rudra’s food  protection see
see worship of guheshwara linga.

28)real worship:
Cutting outside worshiping outside   found and shyed ayya!
Finding one  animisha linga  inside in my mind flower
If worshiped  shy  maadu(…………….?) became doubtless guheshwara.

29)namaha shivaaya om
‘na’ means nandi ‘ma ‘ means mahath
‘Shi’ becoming rudra’ vaa’ becoming hamse
‘Ya’ becoming arivu(consciousness)’om’kara becoming guru
Relation becoming unrelated,two becoming one
Related in guheshwara linga.

30)sense (consciousness) of  god is higher than allveda is matter of studies
Scriptures are markrt news
Epics are  news of  naughty(punda) people
Tharka (logic,yukthi)  is   tagaru(male sheep)chat.
Devotion is showing eating  profit
Guheshwara is solid(Ghana) beyond

31)linga is not for outer show :
Showing   istalinga  who eat festival meals(mrustaanna)
Where is  siddhi of desired object
From  somewhere is linga?from  somewhere is jangama?
From somewhere is padodaka prasada?
Plying unacceptable game all became spoiled ,guheshwara your promise.

32)i am god:
Apart fro m that god are you god
If you are god why are you not protecting ?
Protecting  poured water to one bud
When hungry  giving little food
 I am god see ,guheshwara

33)sweet character:
Holding jiggery statue in hand
Where ever kissed is sweetgood neen fruit if kissed is it sweet
Those who tell they know all vidyas(educations)
They were   not accepted ,guheshwara

34)field(bayalu:
Field sowing field (bayalu) ,field growing field
Field became field ayya
Field life ,field  feel
Field becoming field became field ayya
 those who worshiped became field earlier only
inbelieving  you became field ,guheshwara.

35)natural behavior:
If we press(heat) and do fruit  from where it will become tasteful?
If lusted imagined felt tjat itself is  difficulty!
Rather than feeling feel  death is better see guheshwara

36) know onself:
Without  knowing that you are eternal(nithya) niranjana(unattached)
Telling thathvamasi  using outside
Whole world had died  dog’s death
Without knowing they themselves ,died peoples name
If letter is read what kind of liberation it is ,guheshwara.

37)flame-campher-devotee-god:
If hill of campher   holds flame  is there  coal?
To shia temple of snow is there  kalasha of sunlight?
Hill of kenda(burning coal)  is shot with lac (aragu)arrow
Echchada(………?)  returning  can arrow   be searched?
After knowing guheshwara klinga again to be remembered?

38)linga jangama prasaada:
If mind is forgotten  and done linga became  rupa(form)
If money is forgotten and done  had become jamgama form
If body is forgotten and done became prasada form
Like this if thrividha  is known and done  became field(bayalu) form
Without knowing mind,knowing linga  not knowing money,knowing jangama
Without knowing mind   knowing prasada forgetting these thrividha joys
Field knowing  mind only was found in linga,money only had involved jamgama
Like this thrividha forms  had involved guheshwara.

39)trouble of five senses:
Elephant by sense organ of touch  was bound
Butterfly by form(rupa) sense organ of was bound
Bee by sense organ of smell was bound
Deer by sense organ  of sound was bound
Fish  by tongue sense organ  was biund
Like this  by excitement of each sense  organs
Each animal was totally destroyed
To human animals having one pot five sense organs
Getting forgetfulness body fascination  illusion covering
Food (thutthu) of mouth of maya what is wonder  tell   guheshwara?

40) jnarathna:
Earth is not yours,gold is not yours,  female  is not yours
    They are fate kept to world,telling your ornament is jnanarathna
Without spoiling  such divine rathna
If you decorate those rathna,,in  our guheshwara linga
Leaving you nobody is rich  see hey mind.

41)istalinga-sthaavara linga:
Leaving  linga on palm(devotee)
Bowing (head)to sthaavara linga these  broken (insulted) faced can’t be seen
How it means leaving her own husband bowing tu others husband
Unchaste woman  theit devotion.
Don’t show    towards  such five great sins face,guheshwera.

42)when there is chinthamani why worry:
Will swan in milksea  desire for milk?
Bee inside flower  will it search for fragrance?how is it ayya.
Frog in sea will it desire water?how is this  ayya?
Onself   existing in linga existing in other desires
Those illused what tosay ayya,guheshwara
Will anybody desire milk in milk ocean like bee inside flower desiring
See linga?ayyo (akataka) stunt(kapata)!frog in ocean desiring watersee linga!
They in linga desire outside guheshwara.

43)shivasharana:
If shivasharana sleeps  chant(japa) see brother
If sharana is awake ,shivarathri (shiva night)see brother
If sharana sees  sinless(sin reduction) see brother
If sharanas walk only  holy ,see brother
What sharana speaks  is shivathathva(shiva principle)   shiva manthra see brother
What sharana touches  all siddhi see brother
Mind of sharana only is linga
Work of sharana is kailasa see brother
Guheshwara,chaarithrya(conduct,character,behavior) of your sharana  is excessive(wxtraordinary)

44)sharana is supreme beyond:
 All seen is holy,all heard is supreme teachings
What ever touched  touch of sparsha bead,(parusha mani),what is spoken suddenly is sadyomukthi(immedeat liberation)
all coming signs(sulihu)  are world holy
all treaded earth is  liberated  area
all touched waters are holy theerthas(water)
those who  do  devotion telling sharanu  are saayujyas(united)
guheshwaras  sharana’s  coming beauty  should not be compared.

45)caste is not important character:
May be in which ever caste
Walking in  chaarithrya (history) of ancients(puraathanas)
Giving meaningful pride (abhimaana)  to guru linga jangama
Vanished ego puraathana’s(ancients) thambula (pan)  I will chew
Beeludige(………………..?) cover with,both his paadarakshas(holy footwears)
 Carrying on head  will live,I am daasa of daasas of those ganas
Will become in births and births see guheshwara.

46)whole  light(jyothi) darshan:
   As though searching creeper  sorounding leg
As though desiring desire  fulfilled(kaisaaru,kaigudu)
Poor finding treasure missing step
I came searching searching
Found statue according to feel see
found vastness of my consciousness  see
in my in and out  without gap shining
thala thala found whole(akhamda) jyothi(light) see
signless  hand’s(karasthala) wonderful view
finding my supreme guru  lived see guheshwara.

47) inner call:
To heightful stage(katte) of  body building katte(………..?) of mind
Maturing six kinds ofdevotion  steps
Filling water of supreme joy
Have not found anybody  building pond(kere)
the pong which you have built was firm,guheshwara your promise.

48) knower knowledge known:
Knower is one who knows,knowing is jnana(knowledge)  jneya(to be known)
Itself is deciding(determining)
By means of these three(instruments) kinds jnathru jnana jneya
Searching   linga , knowing linga,mixing linga
Become linga again jnatha jnana jneya
Three kinds of  illusion unholiness(suthaka)  were lost
Real see guheshwara.

49)kindness of guru:
If you are my guru ,if I am your disciple
Removing my karanaadi  (senses)charecters
Removing my body dharma
You hiding in my body,you hiding in my prana
You hiding in my  feel you coming to my karasthala
Do kindness guheshwara|

50) unless there is churning of  action(kriya) can we see   sweetness of ikshu(sugarcane)
Without churning of  can we see  oil in thil?
Without churning action  cau you see ghee in milk?
Without action  churning  can we see fire in kaasta(stick)
For this reason  our guheshwara  I understood in within  myself
To mahaanthas all  rules practice  is  only achievement  see.

51)
Uncomparablle  joy:
Body character fading  after becoming jeevanmuktha(liberation while livin)
Peace called samyak knowledge  was got see
Not knowing inner and outer(antharanga and bahiranga)
Rejecting dvaitha and advaitha liberation (nirvana) becoming    nishpatthi(origin)
Guheshwara,your sharana is uncomparable happy(person).

52)anga(devotee,sharana)-linga(god):
Anga inside linga linga inside anga
Union of anga linga company(sanga) not reducing,call god knowers(scholars)
Those who know linga hold
One self dying making linga to sit
Is there any other place tell to guheshwara.

53)body-garden:
Making body a garden,making mind guddali(a weapon)
diged and removed root of illusion, breaking mass(hente,ball)  of
family,diged and sowd brahma   seed
wnole mandala (system)  well,air itself is wheel(rate)
from sushumna tube correcting water
five basavas spoiled
keeping fence of samathe(equality) snarane(remembrance)
always awakened  in this garden
protected this plant see guheshwara.

54)don,t be like dead before death
After  dieing   next will join god (you) tell
How it is if you die before death.?
How is your kind of  linga union   ayya?
Like your pramathas  without  stage of anga(devotee)
Ljnga avasthe(stage) is not there to anybody guheshwara.

55)meaningless worship:
Hara hara,without  knowing place   of  your  existence
eight kinds of worship sixteen upachaaras
see boldness of those who tell  they have done
shiva shiva,without knowing your srimukha
dedicating all materials  to you
see the valiece of those who take prasada!
Eating fruit of hagarana(scam?) if told hunger is gone
Who will like tell guheshwara.

56)spirit(chaithanya) withn body:
Being inside body,as supportive to body
Not touching body see the kind of enlighing !
as light to lightsee the kind of lighting!
Supreme chaithanya  free(niraala) linga see.

57)one (unique) sincerity-one face:
When there is god called om namaha shivaaya holding body
Became subordinate to  poison
To rupu(ruhu) formed by  body being caught in net of maya
All devotees  did not understand mahaghana(supreme solid)
Cutting (kooydu?)false,worshiping false only,this is not acceptable in rules(nema)
Guheshwara your sharana relation is not seen not seen
To many faced.

58)to know god  sign is not required:
For one who fights with  thunderbolt is umbrella  protective?
to one who carries   mountain is simbe(turban?) useful?
To taste sugar  is  any other thing needed?
To know guheshwara  why sign(kuruhu,guruthu)?

59)realization of god:
Veda is  god it is told,scriptres are gods they say
They  tell epic(puraana) is god ,they  say stone is god
All these worshiping all doubts died
all animals!
Logicians (thaarkikas) who does not know mother,doubters who does not know  father
Body is formed out of  earth,mind is formed out of air
Stone , stick, water are  formed  out of    nishkala.
Air dependent  pavana  union  from anahatha chakra
Standing in ajna wheel above,treading infinet crore brahmandas
Closing eye of body,on  opening  eye of jnana 
There is one  formless(niraakaara,shapeless) is there,standing in that niraakaara
Seing deciding  there is one nishunya(nirbayalu?)
Standing in that nishunya ,on deciding and seing
Neither dark nor light(morning)  openfield guheshwara.

60)by  keeping mind even if you  meditate  for a moment enough
Don’t count beads and spend time.
Worshiping arrow  don’t spend time
Enough even for a moment  memory of real(reality)
Enough even for half a minute memory of real
Is character  present in fire is there in hot water guheshwara.

61)not like all others  nirmala (pure) jnanies
Speaking like all walking like all
Like all  are using   family
Can we see them like all    pure jnanies  who have got real(reality)
In middle of their mind  shining lighting
Will shiva jnana seed  will it go without  fruit(result,use)
Though not burning  will fire  get  attacked by  mites ,guheshwara|

62)great light:
Li ght of brahma  which is not counted as infinet crore brightness(light)
Not to be seen Ghana(solid), therahillada(…………?)light great light(morning)
 Becoming  himself by himself ,self joy’s(bliss’s) real eternal  real form
Niranjana(unattached)  beyond vedaanthas   hariyajarigattida(………………?)
Lightful  himself is source of leela(play)
To Ghana(solid)  of  guheshwara linga  is  solid (Ghana).

63)vachanaamrutha is  is diet to whom
By company(friendship) of  sathpurushas(good people,sajjanas,) who know  supreme(high ,para)
Vachanaamrutha of shivayoga  having good devotion
 Maheshwara  hearing  in his shrothru(audio)   face
Blessing in mind face,weavinfg   happiness in satisfaction face
If known that joy allows  effectine feed.
If not  like this  family sense object rasa
Filled up in his heart well
In body of jivas if fills vachanamrutha
Like pouring water in broken(split)  pot
See guheshwara.

64)mainainance of order of guru:
64)Till there is hunger business won’t leave
Till there is cold upaadhike(obstruction) won’t leave
Till there is speech  stunt(buutaatike) won’t leave
Till there is sleep  company of wife won’t leave
For this reason for hunger bhiksha(beging),for cold  ragate(…………….?)
For talt manthra,for sleep shivadhyana
One goes beyond  guru’s words
No effect in para(other world) is got see
For this reason going beyond goru’s order as liked by mind
  Who follows don’t show me once guheshwara

65)method of prana worship:
In my heart lotus,objecivated(objective)
To my praneshwara  my excuse is abhisheka
My supreme dejection( vairaagya) itself is  flower garland
My trance treasure is sandal(gandha),my pridelessness  is akshathe(holy rice)
 My viveka(ability to discriminate right and wrong)  itself is cloth,
My truth itself is divine ornament
My faith itself is dhupa(scented smoke),my divine knowledge itself is lamp
My lack of illusion I is naivedya(holy god offered food)
My nirvishaya (lack of sense objects,,thoughts)  itself is thaambula
My silence itself is bell, my lack of imagination is  is pradakshane(going around god)
My purity itself is  namaskarams,services dine by my inner mind itself is upachaara
In this way doing prana worship to  guheshwara linga,forgot external
Actions  see sangana basavanna.

66)punya earning:
If one knows oneself  all words are principle (philosophy) see
If one forgets oneself  all words are maya see
Knowing forgetting all words of shivayogi  are upadesha(advice,teachings)
Is there different,your mind’s upset  to know making to speak
If seen,in my mind no grey kale(mark)  see .

67)anga(devotee,sharana) linga (god):
Charm(kale) of sharana  after knowing in linga
No doubt of anga  see for sharana
charm (kale)of prana after knowing in comsciousness
no subordination to dense of words see
if sharana walks  nirgamana(going),if talks silence!
To sharana of guheshwara  no sign(kuruhu) listen

68) words are jyothirlinga:
Words are  linga of light,note is pata thathva(supreme principle)
Thaalostra’s(……………..?) samputa(volume?)  is beyond  naada bindu kala
 Guheshwara is not  sharanas spoken  suthakies(………………..?) hear mad
To our guheshwara linga as you are give ornament of linga to linga kid of kindness
Unless mouth opened  is dirrerent (bhinna)tell,mad!

69)give ornament of linga to linga:
Pouring to bath  beg  for fruit ayya
To whom is that fruit apart from sithaala(……………………?)?
Worship in leaf and flower  and  request for fruit
To whom that fruit is apart from plants?
Dedicating suyidaana(sydaana)  request for fruit ayya
To whom is that fruit apart   from  eighteen grains?
Giving ornament of linga to linga
Beging fruit all injustice  what to say guheshwara!

70)how to achieve real ?:
Giving food ,saying truthkeeping aravattige(public drinking water) if pond is built
After death  above is heaven
Shiva’s real is not possinle
To sharana  who knows guheshwara  no any kind of fruit.

71)anger of sharanas:
If there is forest fire ,forest is goal,if there is water fire sea is only goal
If there is stomach fire body is goal,if time fire(kaalagni) rises  worlds are goal
In mind of shivasharanas  if anger fire rises blamers are goal
Guheshwara  to your   stomach(hode)     fire of maya I am not goal  hear.

72)who knows devotion  and yukthi? Don’t know anybody who knows
Praising oneself tearing the opposite,if one can exist he is devoteeto those devotees shiva graces.speaking devotion in words,if not followd in behavior
Till end shiva gracing is false
forgeting spiting flame of anger,
knowing  coming doing namaskarams words will our guheshwara   linga grace?

73)mind:
Washing mind made it clean  where is such yoga?
Those who tell  holding mind have prevented mind had troubled  as mad  see|
Mind knowing vikalpa jnana(changed knowledge) 
Telling I  have made it pure mind itself see!
our guheshwara linga’s anuva(……….?) telling know
there should no mind see.

74)body mind money:
Without knowing to win body ,without knowing to win mind
Without   knowing to win money was illused whole world.
Fading body to daasoha,fading mind in meditation of linga
Vavishing money  in jangama if one can win
Apart from sangana basavanna  don’t now any other
 Guheshwara
To your sharana sangana basavanna will tell namo namo.

75)yard (angala) of sharana is kailaasa:
Karmas  which  have done upa paathaka and mahapaathakas (small and great sins) are crores and crores.if one angala(yard)  is seen
Will tear off see!
Reason for this is –in innermind of shivasharanas shiva is there

Unless body feeling goes(fades)  jiva feel  does not fade!

Unless sign is lost maya won’t  go(dry up,fade,vanish,perish)
For that reason  lost differentiation of  body and jiva fades
