winning,agriculture (phloughing) done in
Infertile(nissara) land,dependence on small people,after
deciding to do one work,to not to think of
one way and thinking of many ways,profit of gambling,to sale existing
house,mercury,poisons medicines-all these produce illusion that they are useful.

undergoing bad desires called
‘saptavyasanas’, won’t keep eye on good behavior(sadachara). Leaving atma jnana
(knowledge of self) will not protect dharmas. Therefore for people to get
spoiled ‘yugadharma’ is strong reason.
47)if lion is held with love will it leave hatred? For bad
smelled things if good scented cardamom ia smeared, will it’s bad smell
be destroyed?will tail of dog becomes straight if it (tail) is tied by stick? If a scorpion fallen in fire is removed by hand will it not
stinge(bite). In same way ,though how

much done won’t leave his bad nature.
48)when there is nothing to eat man will be humble,does not
care for honour.rich people will get angry if anybody looks at them, If talked tey will swell with

for respect from king.

Scripts (lipis),without desiring bribe,as having
rules,having religious matters, having
known four kinds of plans(techniques)
who is interested in king’s

allegations on others(chadi) traiting them,avoiding their life,without seen by

is equal to rat(heggana).

him all authorities, he violating and peeling(robbing) people,by virtue of
power(authority) shuting mouth of other officers,without giving anything to
them,eating all will be cruel like
kalayama .such person is not dalavayi but big mari(hemmari).

by fruits, shining by crops, secured forts

species. One who is afraid of war is not a valiant.

Devotion in eshwara, faith in one’s owner should be possesed.what ever god has
given should be given to others as meals and himself should also eat.

sea can be counted.can go beyond seven seas. Can learn how to moov in sky.
Hills can be crushed into powder.but it is impossible to know theFemale mind’s

seethe did agni pravesha (fire entry) and got pure.jumbu fruit cut
from tree droupadi made to rejoin tree and became great
pathivratha(chaste). Sri krisna brought syamanthaka mani (bead) which was lost and gave to sathrajitha in
assembly(sabhe) and showd thah allegation upon him was false. In spite of doing
so complaint upon them did not go.therefore it is not possible to

soldiers,scholars,ministers, rushies, peacefup,yogis, citizens, will not they love
their own children with love?
95)blind mirror,bad pathed poets,miser donater, barren woman love of children, thief moon ,dullard(mudha)
rasa of poetry,sinner good people,monkey ratna,if dog rejects lion what is loss
to these things?
Study taught by hiting and beating by teacher, severe
medicine curing disease,grain sowd and grown with difficulty, to win over
enemies by war,to deliver children,to wear bangles to hand, to have pdependence
(ashraya) on king,to collect money
for difficult time,business-all
these are difficult at beginning and give joy at end.

97)Having dirt in stomach only by washing above will one
become pure?one who has done many sins
if he takes bath in many piligrims will he be purified?will group
of crows does not take bath?if neem
fruit is dipped in jiggery juice will it
lose it’s bitter and become sweet?there to keep mind pure is cleanliness(madi).
98)without earning dharma(religion,duty)and fame,without
converting punya(good deeds) into sinswithout knowing all universe is brahma by
listening to tatvas(principles),by thinking well within oneself knowing one’s
self form(swarupa),only by words telling I am brahma(vachanabrahma) liberation
will never be got.
99)sorrows and joys ae equal to moving and nonmoving
things(chara and achara).thinking like this jnanis(knowledgeable persons)knowing
himself and others equal(without
differentiation) by total joy keeping leg in water or fire the happiness got by
that is equal they show.without existing only in talk who argues I am brahma where is liberation (moksha).
100)pure,without knowing all
scriptures,kama(lust),anger,desire,fascination,pride(ego),jelousy ari
shadvargas six enemies without winning only by vachana brahma liberation can’t
be got.
101)ten senses,nine holes,controlling fully,leaving asta
madas(seven prides) and seven vyasanas
(addictions)(saptavyasanas), winning over arishadvargas(six
enemies)without targeted by five arrows
of kama,without experiencing four purusharthas(dharma,artha,kama, moksha),without
believing eshana trayas,(son,wife,money),leaving both joys and sorrows,unless
stood only in brahma,only by vachana
brahma liberation is not attained.
102)if meaning of this shathaka is well thoughtand seen
viveka(descriminination of good and
bad),intellect,intelligence(cleverness),style of good
reading,seriousness,ethics,firm mind,scholarship fit for king’s assembly,good melodius speaking ability,good
fame,life also will not be missed
