PAMPABHARATHA CHAPTER 1 TRANSLATED TO ENGLISH BY DR.RAVEENDRA HOSADURGA

FIRST CHAPTER(ASHWASAM):

21)  At the time of Amritha churning, produced Lakshmi  who got without labour,begging who got earth from  Bali emperor, unlike Narayana  who has got ordinary pushpapatta crown,by churning of  enemy army   who got jayalakshmi(victory lakshm)   without begging,treading enemy kings, who gotearth according to his fitness, supushpapatta crown,udatthanarayana Named god Arikesari give us joy mass.

 

2) Anger of arikesari itself is  fire of forehead eye of  Eshwara his like only praisable,rasaful his prasada. Success of Arikesari only is sacred ash(vibhuthi)  applied to body of  Eshwara, brightful Vibhuthi(sacred ash).one among three  powers of Arikesari  as prabhushakthi is  eshwara’s  power godess,his clean  rathna ornaments only, is his nagabhushana(snake ornament), Eshara who has adopted  his special power,in Arikesari’s three powers,his clean  rathna ornaments onbly   his snake ornaments(nagabhushana),adopting soecial power in him eshwara  who has got  fame as  udara maheshwara , Arikesari also get  happyness mass.

 

3) sum of dark called cruel enemy army,running,having special charecters, lotuses group(on behalf of Arikesari  padmini  caste group)  was joyful by blossoming, loving thiruka named bees group, with satisfaction following without gap, praising .enlighting very much  Sun also by award  prachanda(severe) marthanda(sun) arikesari also  by his words rays let blossom  my heart lotus.

 

4) by his birth only naturally coming  beauty,by sexual intercourse without failure, having never before  good features body grandeur,by prasada(pleasing) of  serpent wearer Eshwara, even teacher natural Manmatha, arikesari always let grace beautiful,varieties of  joys and happiness.(Manmatha is bodyless, underwent anger of Eshwara,was limited to sexual intercourse with Rathi.But Arikesari  hving body added with beauty,fit for blessings of Eshwara,having sexual intercourse plays,.So he is acharya even to Manmatha.This is the feeling).

 

5) having not even little destruction,,not able to know it’s end by anybody, himself by himself  infinet treasure(Akshaya nidhi)), to all those who have served her nothing impossible, mother to all  vagmaya(speech power) Saraswathi devi  by lotus like face,having development of  rangasthala(drama stage), to Arikesari with joy let grace dirtless intellect.

 

6) Emitting up by his Thrishula, flesh and blood only  becoming red, becoming bud producing fear to eye,  emitting outside swinging (hanging) intestines(guts) group only has become tender lotus stem, produced in body of controlless(beyond control)  demons, fire called separation ,those putting off,depending upon his sharo sword, dried up bodied(krishangi)  Durgi Pademecchaganda award, let join sword of Arikesari.

 

7) madhupashrayam( that mence dependence to bees)-in outer sense, In tone-to to those who take alcoholic drinks(liquors) gives dependence) name of arikesari  (to donate things-gift)  vibudhashraya to scholars.Therefore this  king Arikesari  by his superioty has won me,with this likings let vinayaka  having  Gunarnava  nam this Arikesari let expand this poetry.

 

8) poetry should should be newly bright. There should be adjustment of Soft words. Should be composed in pure kannada form. Should match with samskritha style. If there is ,matchinng like this, poetry construction  In spring(vasantha)  season, mango tree  with red buds and flowers, hanging by it’s weight,,covered by bees,  enlighting  due singing of cuckoo, like that  it will be shining.

 

9) Having all meanings, added with alankaras(procedes)  having better vritthi(mental attitude)  design having soft words padas(1|4) of two lines stanza) ,by speech treasure  beautifully artistic,so called  poetry and lass(kanya)  apart from Arikesari  to those who are unfit to dedicate? (   Whilre giving meaning to kanya to artha word wealth, to word vritthi behavior,to word paada meaning leg  is to be taken. By kavya vision to word  vritthi Abhida, vyanjana or Lakshana named powers,kaishiki, Bharathi, Sathvathi, Arabhati name vritthi will be useful).

 

10) Those who are called poets for name sake,ordinarily  who are called king for name sake ,in group of these people ,there is no speciality in calling as poet or king. In line of these poets pamapa is called kavitha gunarnava in grade of  shodasha(sixteenth) kings Arikesari is called gunarnava. They have become famous.

 

11) Though story  material is great it’s material design  without losing it, samagra(whole) Bharatha story poets who have told ever before(apurva),in past time nobody is there. By descrciption  pars  eighteen descriptions, along with story  so as to match completely,to tell pampa only is eligible.Like this scholars,telling continuously,while are praising, I have started to tell this better poetry.

 

12) Pleasant words,without pure charecters ,with stubbornness that I should write poetry only, such dullards literary work  is it a poetry composition? It produces strain to hand of writer. Waste of  smooth ole garies(ole leaves) which are needed for writing ! If read(sung)  making harm to meaning,by doing poetry composition ,swollen with ego(ahamkara)  struggling for success banagu(……..?) is he fit  to be considered as poet?

 

13) I swim  Vyasamaharshi’s vast  poetry called amritha sea. But I have no pride  that pooet vyasa. Kavitha gunarnava Arikesari’s  good nature as has entered mind temple I am telling this poetry. This kind love expression is it  a defect? What I know only that much I will tell.what defect is there in this?

 

14) Previous few poets  to those who have no vast success mass (yashorashi), making as hero of their poetry, superimposing upon them   good charecters ofPrevious kings compare. But  gunarnava Arikesari  by his good charecters ,as he is winning over past time kings, in this Mahabharatha story  including his story ,matching gunarnava king with Arjuna, to describe I wished.

 

15) To treasureful  chalukya family sky,called moon,added with brightness(thejas),  head ornament to his family  yuddhamalla(war boxer)  inthis earth  becoming famous became famous.

 

16)  Having fame of his shoulder strength, with much strength  due to brightness of  rathna fixed crowns of kings group,having  feet enlihhghted, uled sapadalaksha earth.

 

17)in his  Bodana named capital  filling wells with oil  gives bath to  five hundreds of elephants. When it is so,what to tell about  his extrardinaryness.(malla= wrestler)

 

18)  wealthy   to this war wrestler   king as fame produced, spported by  rathna brightness  of  all kings crowns,,by rays of feet nails having shining feet,

 

19) Arikeasri named beautiful son was born. That king  to army who opposed him ,showing  sword pulled out from sheath, speally valuble  things, got intoxicated  elephants , horses as profit. This  arikesari   in ruling of rastrakuta king Nirupamadevas along with three kalinga countries,,winning vengimandala, by his  own self arm strength  his dignity(prestige)   made to write  walls  in all directions.

 

20) suitable to kshathriyas  bright charecters like valience excetras  stood firmly in  kshathriya family  by great works of Arikesari. His works were not there even in  famous ancient kings  in three worlds.

 

22) to that arikesari in cutting  heads of enemy kings s,by capable sharp sword

 Th him who has  fearful arms   who are equal to these, Nsimha bhadradeva’ two children became famous.  

 

23) among  them to Narasimha,  having clean success, Immadi war wrestler(yuddha malla) , elder son. Brightful to whole world s,unequal valiant,s ,to such war wrestler, baddega(Bhadradeva) elder son.

 

24) to bhadradeva who was born like this, along with jnana(knowledge),along jnana greatness,s along with greaness  material profits , along with those  valience excetra extrardinaries , were born. To such bhadradeva who is comparable?

 

25) this bhadradeva  in attack as though  enemy kings to run away,opposing,byhis valience ,getting appreciated by all people, doing war, in thirty two famous wars, Expressed his  valience.

 

26) Sorrounded by sea on earth , who has earned greatness that only  valiant  not defeated by anybody,facing those with valience  who  oppose him,piercing fearfully who did war, such Bhima named king  mking him to drown in water, like catching crocodile,while has held with pride this valiant  Bhadradeva like  person who s there?

 

27) (this Bhadradeva’s) high greatness ,added with greatness,hiding in works

 Ajnaphala(order fruit),fear added in those, due ti fear wondering  enemy group, becoming dependent on his fame, that bhadradeva became famous in  on earth. By rising(jumping) eye brow once, making to get down  crores of army(soldiers),such person who else is there?

 

28) In treasury of  that Bhadradeva, meru mountain’s gold, kalpavriksha arama(house), group of siddhas, mine of touch stone(sparsha shile), were there.To such contineous donation  who will resemble Bhadradeva?

 

30-31) to that Bhadradeva who is sun like to  dark called  enemies, Having arms added with brightful  vijayalakshmi(victory lakshmi), capacity to protect earth in various ways, third yuddhamalla *war wrestler) became son. Son of that yuddhamalla king,Narasimha famous Nahusha, prithu, Bhagiratha, Bhagiratha, Nala  named mahathmas(great souls) who has fame crossing those,in knowledge he was direct(sakshath) god.

 

32) To Bhadra caste(jaathi) elephants,  lion form  Narasimha’s knowledge, in situation of  methodical maintainance will not refuse ankusha(goad) of  Guru’s words. But at the time of  bhadrankusha’s anger was without obstruction. (that means  though his viveka (power of discretion to decide good and bad,right or wrong) was following guru’s words,while waring with enemy army his severe anger was not under anybody’s control.).

 

33) Narasimha  some day with stubbornness lata country’s(south gujarath) fell upon and wared. On telling that matter today,hearing it, that Lata country people are still giving Tharpana water to those who died. Telling like this,firm determinations  challeing strength’s soldier became Narasimha.

 

34)  Narasimha  like lion getting irritated falling upon  on  doing  war  them blood emited in sky became as though covered with red flags. Who is residence giver to all world,his pride’s greatness what kind?

 

35)Narasimha  Sapthamanalas(seven parts of  Mala country) opposing so as to fly burning to produce charcoal (kariku) then rised flame followd his thejas’s bilalus.(proproots).

 

36) Narasimha in his jaithra yathra  victory indicating, mungidi elephants following,making to run away  army of  ghurja country’s king,by success of his arm strength became person crossing Arjuna.

 

37) Like attack of thunderbolt,attacked narasimha’s army,fearing to it, mahipala named king  inplace where he took meals,,without taking meals again,without standing at one place, ran away.

 

38) narasimha giving bath to his horse in Ganga River,,in famous Ujjayini  he who is good charectered his sword to kill pranas of enemies established by  jaya vijaya pride.

 

39) to mind and eye of  Narasimha king dear (beloved),having  black curley hairs,having moon like face is jakavve.Is it not? She in family,in chastity (piousness) is More than seethadevi.

 

40) Lakshmidevi  who is in midst of  newly blossomed white lotus  petal,,by her side becomes little brightless.When telling like this will other women  are equal to compare to jakavve.

 

41-42) To thar jakavve high earth lord husband   and to Narasimha

 

 

 

 

 

 Drowned in his thejas named fire, having pathangas called enemy kings,,added with clean victory, such (Immadi) Arikesari  king took birth. Soonm after his birth ,in greatness of  renunciation,in valients grandeur, son means he only is son like this all apprevciating to get fame  from this Arikesari to temple  called world, as horn was born.(that mea by hin gtreatness was produced to world.This is the feel.

 

43)  s soon as Arikesari was born to kid pride water(madodaka)  as per world custom (s per tradition) pouring warm water, by goad of  prideful elephant, cutting umbilicus  bud(card,navel), in cradle made out of  prideful(intoxicated) elephant’s goad,to make to sleep,,when he was cradle kid time, he expressed himself becoming ‘elephant lover’(gajapriya).

 

44) Thhis arikesari  he himself is direct Indra,famous  in arm cradle of Indra king, grew. Sorrounded by vast  sea in this earth such person who else is there?

 

45)  Having shoulder strengthNot reachable to measure (immeasurable), this king(King who is like Sun among humans),,byhis special  intellect character,by imposible valience, crossed border od scriptures(shasthras) and bprder of s enemy strength together(simultaneously).

 

46) He  before  beads tied to waist got torn ,that means in childhood, having  stubborn  nature making all enemy armies so as to roll down, present in midst of  blood sea of  enemy armies  as jigule(………?)  grows grew.

 

47) The army whoch comes and attacks upon him, even If more than one crore,other’s wife (parasthree)  even if exceeds beauty of famous Urvashi, his eyes always  will  not fail to(get defeated by)  enemy army sea and other’s wife(parasthree).

51) famous,cutter of  strong temple(kumbhasthala) of group of elephants,by fearful,strong sword, who is  having  brightful, arma called Parighayudha,having award of Arudha sarvajna, Hider of special  ego(ahankara)  enemy kings,such Arikesari ,making him as hero, comparing with famous Arjuna,to tell this  srory picture(kathachithra) with love I have accepted.

Vachana|| How it means is  specially bright by red water pierced(chased) by  various kinds of Rathna’s brightness,adultrated  fickle waves speed  having kula mountains which are cuts, I jambu island surrounded by sea, in  kurujangana country,

 

52) chnnels  produce sound jala jala and flowing as flood, spread in those channels  new naidilw( water lilly) flower,spread around new naidile flower fragrance spreading fruit given  red bunches hanging  paddy, coming to those new paddy parrot’s group,-on seing these appearing beautifully  in this country  Lakshmidevi  is always enjoying. That means that part is always filled with treasure.This is the feel.

 

53) ( In that country where ever seen)  grown weight of crop bunch(thene) bent wet lands, By flowers which  are grown in those wetlands(gadde) spread  ponds only, around that flower ponds groups of peculiar gardens, Covering that gardens  Group of intoxicated bees,  tha country’s   curved  like curley hairs  of fem women appears.

 

54) In inner part of that  country  added with beautiful varieties of  leaves, flowers Forest makes  intoxicated  elephants to grow. Lands growing  by  make fragranceful  paddy to grow.Beautiful lines of gardens to separated ones  makes love  to grow. In land and forest of that country,  crops are grown in plenty

 

55) there flowers fruits jasmines rasaful mangos  will never  close..when so family summary all fruit what other is there.

 

56) Rasaful  dsugar cane of that land if responded (pressed) by figure spill juice.

 Bees  satisfied by  fragrance of one blossomed flower only, turn away their faces. Parrots by drinking juice of one fruit  only will get indigestion. That means  suae cane, flower, fruits were rasaful.

 

57)Around that land  Siddharasapits only. Houses added with pearls and rathnas, forests having intoxicated elephants. Wha t shall I  praise  treasure of that family.

Vachana|| like that beautiful  kurujangana country brightful capital  Hasthinapura. That is to jate  group of  Eshwara  like chandralekha, To temple(gandasthala) of diggajas (direction elephants)  like madalekhe,to vishnu’s vast  chest region  like kousthubha bead, beautiful in that town.

 

58) In outer part of town done with gold artificial mountains, plants filled with fruits,flower,bud Chiguru), buds(moggu) added with these  with creeper roofs, with  mass of pollens, ass though sky has torn and  fallen  as though by special lakes,,by singing cuckoos,pouring by nitself  to buds of Suragi flower, covering(attached)  bees group , talking stammering speech  parrots kids, on directing with valiant words  rushing forward  intoxicated elephants,by moving horses, by vastness of  surrounding ditches, by high  golden walls,inside getting called as kula mountain , by wealth of temples  as though making fun of heaven   moving flags,by house off donaters, called kubera garden wealthful  by vaishyas shops, by occupied roofs, like sankole(arrest chain)  in  womanizers vitas are caught, as tugh caturing(attracting) heart of scholars,,by prostitute lanes, Inside golden towers  on both sides  by dance halls,by luxurious  females group , having eSxual intervcourse joy  creeper houses(latha griha),arama houses(rest houses) getting clled Meru mountain,with fmous palaces,,by treasuries

 

Vachana| as thought brahma has gathered mass of beauty  of  three worlds at one place,,with all material mextention, beautiful in Hasthinapura, bharatha family supremes  were ruling state. How their birth was means

 

59) In vishnu’s navel(umbilicus) ,in water bubble  fragranceful,,covered by bees, such lotus was born. In that lotus Hiranyagarbha took birth.

 

60) In Brahma’s pure heart lotus  wearing high  water kamandala,having pure speech, pulaha,Marichi,Athri, Angiras, Pulasthya, krathu  named were born.

Vachana|| lkike that by mind of Hiranyagarbha brahma  vorn among six sons Marichi’s son Kashyapa  by production of many worlds, to drama became suthrsadhara( controller,thread holder). By obstructionless valience  added is his son Sun. the family grown by him  became Sun family(Suryavamsha).

 

61) Fame sung in three worlds alsoom,worshipable in whole kshathriya  group,,having pure behavior, verey extraordinary  soma family  high, such  Soma was Athri’s eldest son.

 

62) many who were born in that Soma family by their extraordinary  famous fame, covering world, as they died, having much luxury(vilasa)  dushyantha’s Son Bharatha  became famous.

 

63) Good behaved, having boundless good charecters,,having heaviness of Success, such bharatha  his family,language  added in his name, as it has became famous as Bharatha, became fameful.kings should be famous like this.

 

64) Interested in many  yajna(sacrifice,yaga)  works(rituals), Bharatha  becoming died,,loved by many  kings  state administration(bhu bhara) , uncomparably strong,   king Prathima wore.

 

65) Like that  to that Prathama  having endless strength,specally piercing enemy army valience such Bahlika vinutha, Devapi, named children  became very famous.

Vachana||Among them devapi  at the beginning of toiuth only  becamenterested in doing penance. Prathima also  capable in expressing valience   ruling for long time, disgusted by  uselessness of family, went to penance garden(thapovana)

 

66) that prathima who was residence of arrows of manmatha, like arrow box ,his lovable  lasses  undergoing control of  planet called vilasa(play) of eye brows  without illusion s with consoled mind,  whole state treasure to  Shanthanu.

 

67)  To  Shanthanu and pure Gangadevi  eighth vasu due to curse of BVasista In beauty crossing   defeating Manmatha’s beauty ,added with beauty took birth as Bhishma.

 

68) Tall like sala tree, vast,  having eyes added with vilasa(play,luxury) ,having hump (shoulder) like  bull,dependence to long arms  having armstrength valience, Interested in vijaya lakshmi(victory ),,bhishma  learnt education in Parashurama.Vachana|| learning that before only  learning bow education,  he only becoming better,he himself becoming  teacher (acharya) to parashurama , king post indicating  with necklace(neck garland) in neck ,by his long and thick , by armstick(bhujadanda), who has punished enemies  groups, Bhishma was ruling.

On  this side upacharisu named persom in yukthavati river while taking rest born too kolahala parva Girije named lass he saw. As soon as he saw becoming under control of body, loved and married. One day he went to Indra’s Durbar  without able to return to his beloved who was about to mature(menses time),remembering her ejected semen. Rounding it in banana leaf

 Sent through parrot which he had reared. While parrot was bringing it, one vulture(giduga)  obstructing it,,on violating, slipping from it’s hand fell in water.

A fish swallowd it and became pregnant. One fisher man caught it net. He carried it to king and showd. He cut it and saw seing girl and boy in it’s uterus  lifting them  keeping names Mathsyagandhi and Mathsyagandha  was protecting was in yanuna river bank.To there once Brahma’s grandson  old Parashara named muni While going northern countries,on bank of  one river seing Mathsyagandhi  who was driving boat  you make to to cross this river told like this. To   that lass  unless thousand people rise this boat,it  will not move told.

Rushi told thst we will become weight of that much people. Make to rise told. While  malking to rise and coming loved that divine lass and saw

 

69) that muni high  in mind failing to her,,si as to remove bad smel;l of her body  gave scent(fragrance) which can spread upto  hundred yojana distance,,making snow itself as screen(veil),on uniting with her with love Jnanaform Rushishresta was born. Muniundras what ever they do it will  run(is acceptable) is it not?

Vachana|| Like that who is black like black cloud,s.yellow and red  mixed  colour jate(tuft of hairs on head) group,in hand wearing yogadanda and  begging bowl ,having cover of Krishnajina worshipable vtasa maharshi  took birth. Carrying him with  gracing Sathyavathi with her lass feel(kanya feel),giving Parashara muni went off.On this sde

 

70) one day wandering for cause of hunting, coming shanthanu having eyes like that of deer yojanagndhi grance on touching him,(attracted by that)  faling like be loved her. As witness to his love like holding divya(divine), holding her hans’you come let us go’ on telling like this, that lass with shyness, slowly  if you beg me  pray my father told.

Vachana|| Shanthanu returned to town her father Dasharaja  to beg lass  sent hegdes. Dasha king  sas Bhishma is  is is eldest son of  king and he is fit for rights.So I will not give daughter  I will not give(marry) my daughter to Shanthanu.If one who is born to my daughter  king to state, eldest son, to state regular fit then only I will give he told. Shanthanu hearing that news from ministers

 

71) With valience wearing what is regularly (methodically) got, when there is son Bhishma ,see aviveki shanthanu to his enjoyment(bhoga) to fascination  his  regularly got(successively)  state gave to son of fascination wife(loved wife).Like this one illfame spreads through out world and lkived,my family and extraordinary  fitness(suitability)  will get faded.is it not?

Vachana||Like this thinking about his  honour protection , having body added with lust(kama) sorrow,Shanthanu getting melted  with spoiled chest, Bhid\shma knowing all that news,

 

72) By his cause  as he could not give what  Shanthanu who is my lord and king  begged ,sorrow  produced due to kama(lust)   dies. If husband dies  that sin will  without preventing will make me to drown in  hell. This rajya lakshmi what great,let it gi, today only what  my father  tells by giving that only  I will make marriage to happen.

Vachana|| deciding like this, Bhishma coming to  dasha king telling so as to solve doubt of his mind

 

73) Without delay  give your daughter to my father Shanthanu. To child born in this  bride only let rajyalakshmi  belong to. I have no realtion with them. From this day onwards I will not join with  woman(females). This is sure. Like this   with self joy  calling wife Sathyavathi  bringing   husband shanthanu Bhshma made to sit.

Vachana|| like that shanthanu and Sahyavathi  having mutual interested minds,on passing some time, their love buds Chithrangada and Vichithravirya were born. They were great valients. While they were growing Shanthanu  died(got other world) Bhishma did  utthara kriyas(other world rituals) ,before only told by him ‘ word bindings’  named palace put  dasement,doing throne ceremony to Chthrangada, was making to do state ruling. At the same time  chithrangada producing dual war with Gandharva ,making kurukshethra only vas warfield fought and died. Bhishma making Vichithravirya to do  state ruling  made him to be suitable.

 

74) Natural desire to all kshathriyas for show(expression) of their armstrength, going to  going jaithrayathre,(victory journey), kashi king’s sons who fell upon .So as to get oain, by his famous fearful arrow so as to make all commanders in chices  to fall, Ambe, Ambike,Ambalike  named three girls  abducted and came. Bhisma is partner in what a fame!

Vachana|| bringing like that, those three lasses to his brother vichithravirya, while doing marriage  elder among them  told that she will not marry  anybody  other than himself. Doing marriage of those two, Bhishma told to Ambe like this-

 

75) On that side devendra living heaven world,on this  side earth, on another side pathala world, excetras  so as to know took oath. I don’t want to fail to kama joy. My brahmacharya( celibacy) will get destroyed.  Hey lotus faced, first calling as mother, lter to call beloved(love) to tell like this  is it possible?

Ambike  who was nurse(daadi) having  lotus face added with  false laugh, as she came, her son Vidura will have manmatha shape, enquirer,intelligent he will become. .Telling like this high muni went off.

 

86) These three  women  with development of joy for having got boon,,as they grew  separately, wearing pregnancy,added with love all three  Dhritharastra,famous Panduraja,,Vidura named three children they got.

 

87) Having various kinds of royal features, family’s,valience’s,in challenging  quantities,those three  without telling Adipurushas thrimurthies, Brahma,Vishnu,Shiva what else to say. But these  three are called thrimurthies only.

Vachana|| Like that to them jathakarma,naming ceremony,Annaprashana,choula(chandike), upanayana excetras doing sixteen karmas prominently  bhishma himself stood in front and did. Psandu king  thinking it as deer, slowly came near that  and seeing it’s secret place(genital organ)  targeting  that  rushi who was in that animal(deer) form  hiting suddenly with  arrow  brought one kid to himself.

Vachana|| the arrow which he shooted  was shining like pralaya time ulkapatha in rushi’s son eye and chest ‘who shooted  me tell’ like this  on hearing angry voice of  rushi, throwing away bow and arrows standing in front of him  seeing king muni saw.

 

112) desiring for sexual intercourse joy,who had united  beloved with  joy, for having hit with injustice,to you no other punishment,from now onwards when you noin with your beloved, or if you  unite  with desire, you will die like this cursed. Due to that fearful curse produced  sprrow  cry  that pandu king

Vachana|| liking like this, as I was living, thinking this penance garden itself is  holy .like this, that penance garden’s munies increasing  special love,the love which they had in kama(lust,desire), so as  making to run away,  in that ashrama pandu king was as guru of ashrama. On this side  Dhritharastra’s queen  Gandhari so as to get hundred children got boon from vyasa maharshi.listening like this kunthi also  wanted to  have children.

 

117) In was having capacity of cutting enemy kings and putting into masses,,to beggers   considering money equal to dirt, donating his valience to spread upto dirction ends, without giving efficient children, on  seeing seeing only my monthly menses(rasajwaleship)  like sugar cane  flower became fruitless(useless).

Vachana||  added with these worries on seeing kunthi, pandu king told like this secretly.

 

118) Hey thin stomached kunthi, why this wotty to you? Direct to our family, to get children  you don’t be like this. By rushi  highs  so as to fulfil your desire, by your special  pathivratha(chaste,pious)character  you wotrship and make them to like. Added with success (fame)  which is spread up to direction ends, high(supreme) children you will get.

Vachana|| on telling like this,kunthi told like this.-myself as lass  in my  maternal uncle  in Kunthi Bhoja’s house  while growing, Durvasa maharshi was coming to  our house everyday. Liking my service,politeness ,devotion  gave  five manthraksharas  as boon. To these five manthras  remembering who comes to your mind, on invitoing  you will get five children resembling them. 121) From sea moon, From stomach of vinathadevi garuda(eagle), From udaya mountain sun, as they take birth, brightful  yamason was born.

 

122)   As he took birth Dharma(religion) was also born. As he has born from  part(fraction) of yamadharma,like this   rushi group to that child with love kept name Dharmasutha.

Vachana|| keeping name like that gave harake (To fulfil promise).

 

123)  thinking that if other children are not born other who are equal to him, though did not take birth  somehow  I will not be happy.Like this kunthi who had illusion of children  was as before only.

You did what is unfit’like this without leaving  that rushi  those hundred enbryos  then only filled with fragrant ghee  in pot  made to keep safely in konda(hill). To produce wonder to all worlds those grew there.

Vachana|| one among those hundred people, fear spreading   as it spreads as filled youth  breaking ghee pot  took birth.

 

132) then statues in palace, cried. With much foce earth shook. Directions burnt. Group of pishachies danced. In very beautiful places, foxes groups shouted.

Vachana||  on seing many ill signs(apashakunas,uthpathas) future jnani,intelligent Vidura told like this.

Vachana||though told like this, due to fascination on son, Dhrithsrastra and Gandhari what ever they did,(to throw) did not accept. To remaining children, keeping dushyasana excetra names blessed.

135)doing vow(vratha) without laziness, without telling this is enough  with boredom, without desiring for body joy,without sleep, joining in long jagaranes(awakenings), standing on one leg,getting dried up by fasting  followd rules without missing  in vows(vrathas). Without doing vows like that  character sea Arjuna(Arikesari having that award),is it possible to get?

Vachana|| Like that doing vows for one year with sincerity, as previously only  one day remaining in fast,,taking bath in countless punya thirthas,(holy waters,holy piligrimsages) wearing dhohi  staying on dharma bed followd vow.
