‘JNANASINDHU’ VEDANTHA KAVYA (POETRY) WRITTEN BY CHIDANANDA AVADHUTHARU,EDITED AND NOTES WRITTEN BY PROF. MALLEPURAM  G VENKATESH ,PUBLISHED UDAYA PRAKASHANA,RAJAJINAGARA  3rd STAGE,BENGALURU. NOTES TRANSLATED TO ENGLISH BY DR. RAVEENDRA HOSADURGA. I AM GRATEFUL TO AUTHOR AND HIS FAMILY MEMBERS.TRANSLATION IS MY HOBBY.SCHOLARS ARE REQUESTED TO CORRECT.

 

1)     SRI MANGALA PRAKARANA(CHAPTER):

 

KANDA:

‘SHRUTHI’ means veda. These are four.Rugveda,yajurveda,samaveda,atharvana veda. In each of these Vedas Samhithe, brahmana, Aranyaka, and upanishtthu  four parts are there. Sri Chidananda avadhutharu  deciding upanishaths is writing this janasindhu. Therefore word ‘Shruthiyukthi’ is used.  Along with this,through experience  prepared(accomplished) principles  are told here.  Shruthiyukthi +experience= knowledge bliss(happiness). Beyond intellect-beyong  intellect and speech.with extraodinaryness.

1)INDICATION POEM   AND BHAMINI SHARPADI:

 

Nishkalanka-defectless, making to cross from  bad forest fire,  He makes to cross  hell named fire.This is Lakshyartha. ‘Chidananda guru malgemage mangalava’ is  main lakshya here. All remaining are  visheshana. Chadananda- who always plays in jnana(knowledge) ,this is lakshyartha. Guru who taught vedantha.This ia vachyartha here. This sjouls be given attention.

 

2)BAgalamukhi-rresiding in Siddha mountain ‘bagulambe’ Chidananda Avadhuthas god. Near gangavathi thaluk  present ‘kanakagiri’ might be Siddha mountain. Ayodhyapura is  a small village near  Kampli. Here only chidananda avadhutharu  got vedantha teachings  by his guru,composition of ‘janasindhu’ Might have taken place here only. Bagalambe ,Bagalamukhi are equivalent words.

 

3) End psrt of veda is upanishath. To body head only is main. In the same way for mumukshus(liberation desirers)  vedantha only is important. This is vivakshe here.Informing  athma thathva .Poet has praised his guru  in four Bhamini shatpadies.  In all poems  highness of vedantha teaching is seen prominently. Vedantha belongs to guru-desciple heritage(parampare). Without   blessings of guru,to disciple  vedantha secret will not be known. This part(fraction) is hidden in  poems.

 

4))My guru is equal to Shiva. This is advaitha teaching. One who wers moon inhead is somashekhsra.to those who have desire of knowing athma principle(thathva).Thgis is Lakshyartha here.

 

 

5)‘Jnanasindhu’is name of this book. Chidananda Avadhutharu is telling  meaning to it.”knowing oneself by oneself ,experiencing  oneself by oneself  to have filled up. .Sindhu-means samudra. Scriptures-guru-experience- principle of  these three things itself is  jnanasindhu.veda’s important part.

 

6) here source principle  related to vedantha  is told here.Jiva,jagatha,Eshwara- to tell secret of all  three  is speciality of this book. On that side this book is useful to yogies also. On this side to those are in loukika(this worldly,mundane)  world  this is principle  enlighter. With that view in one mind only this vedantha kavya is composed.

 

7)’brahma’ is not about  brahma who is one among thrimurthies. Thai is about ‘parabrahma  which is  propounded  in upanishaths. It belogs to nondual(advaya)principle. Source root of  word ‘brahma’ is ‘brih’. Brahmavidya means,’secret vidya’,taught by guru to disciple  athmathathva(self principle)  .Should be known like this. If  this vidya(education) is told to  svapacha(holeysa),female(woman) excetras ,if contemplation of  that secret  principleis going on, that country will be happy. This is poet’s openion.is

 

8)listening ‘brahmavidye[ or ‘brahmathathva’ creater brahma, destroyer  Rudra,Maintainer Vishnu  will forget their  transactions(business). They forgetting their differences ,will be in ;brahma bhava’(brahma feel0 only.s Therefore, to touch of brahmavidya all kinds of difficulties  get burnt in   forest  called sin .This is sure.

 

9) If to seed heat of fire is touched, it will not bud out. In the same way when seedbrahma  air  touches  no chance to birth and death.s this only is brahma’s goal.

 

10) here salokya,-samipya- sarupya—sayujya named four kinds of liberations are told. These are four means which achievers  (practioners) should achieve. Disciple by doing service of guru will get brahma feel(brahmabhava). Guru’s service is  salokya. Going near guru to keep faith in him is Samipya. To meditate upon guru’s form is  sarupya.  To knmow oneself by oneself and forget itself is Sayujya.”sadguru’s feet itself are true’.

 

11)  sadguru should be kbown as ‘ghana’. As told in gurusthuthi , gurubrahma,gururvishnuhu,grurdevo maheshwaraha | guru sakshath parabrahma  to such guru namaskarams.Summarised meaning of  this stanza  has become prathirupa.

 

12)  nithya-naimitthika-prayaschittha(atonement)  excetras, are kamya karmas. By these there is no liberation. One which has kama nature is kamya. It’s inducter is kama. He has resided in  in mind only always.  To this to removed guru’s  feet is to be surrendered(depended upon). Then brahma feet only remains.  That itself is real joy.

 

13) Washer man washes  dirt in other’s clothes.  He does not bother about his own clothes. In the same way achiever(practitioner) ,thinks about others only. He will not worry about  himself.

 

14)If there is no light,dark will be filled. When light comes there will be no dark. These are mutually opposite. Therefore light is truth and dark is  mithya(false,muth)

 

15) In first  half  of of poem, mystic (anubhavi)poet  chidananda avadhutharu  informs inner meaning of  ‘jnanasindhu’. Here dehoham feel disappears and ‘shiviham’feel appears. All   principles and  processes are(prakriyas)  vedantha’s  experience  are teachings  only.

 

16) if a guru was studying jnanasindhu,remaining were listening to it. Their seed of doubt used to get destroyed. Therefore should be heard with devotion. Then liberation is got. In case if  whose who here who have no devotion,,in next rebirth devotion arises.depending upon guru  he will get devotion and liberation.

 

17) Like neglecting other books,,this book should not be neglected. To those who know it’s inner meaning this is  ‘upreme Amritha’s sea’. Ll caste people should read.

 

18)Thirtha –means guru’s teachings. This knowledge taught by guru to his disciple.This is Sujnana.It enlightens  desciple. As lamp emits  light itself  by itself  naturally ,as  experience is got, ,all will get ‘Rajayoga’.

 

19)’Adhyathma among vidyas’ like this word here. ‘adhyathma vidya vidyanam” like this shruthi announces.  It’s reflection is this.  There are few yogas called  devotion,karma(action), and jnana. Among them important is ‘Rajayoga’. Chidananda Avadhutharu tells  speciality of this yoga! He was upasaka of Rajayoga.This is to be remembered.

 

20) To comment on vedantha matters through samskritha is past custom. In kannada who told in simple form is Nijaguna shivayogi.Later mahingaranga. Holding that path avadhutha is  moving.

 

21) kannada is language.it is right. This is  communication carrier.’kannada is like kannadi(mirror)’.this word has come here. We can’t see our face.A mirror is needed for that! In  thay way  for reflection of experiences language named mirror is needed. It expresses feeling. Few tell that it is difficult to  express feelings in language.but to those who know language ability  and it’s secret it is easily possible.

 

22) shihta   kavyas are under bondage of  grammer. But to desi(local) poetry there is no bindings 9subordination)of grammer. According to metre(chandassu) many words may become short(hrisva) or long(dirgha). Few words may change. Using desi words can be filled according to feel. This mysticism (divine experience) has happened in this poetry in plenty.

 

23) SAmskritha is a sea. It has remained without crossing it’s boundary. Sea’s waves come to bank of sea and go. But kannada is like many rivers in forest. People bathe in these rivers. Enjoy. Kannada mystic(mysticism)  world is like rivers flowing in  forest.

 

24) mystic poet is telling in style so as to inform even to common man also in this book. This is poet’s openion.

 

25) those who want to know athmavidya vilasa (athma education play) , should not think as like that like this. To know oneself by oneself kannada is mirror only.

 

26) this book ontains  summsry of all scriptures(shasthras).logic(yukthi) in vedantha is told by knowing  mysticism(anubhaava). O this source book for  knowing jiva-world(jagatthu)- eshwara.

 

27) Jnanasindhu(knowledge ocean)- vedantha kavya is not dictated to desciples and written. Poet has written  by his own hands.has made o read. Has expanded here and there. Those who read  and listen this will  become wondered.This is greatness of this book.’hasthamalakadanthe’ means like amla  on palm.

 

28)those who want to know  brahmathathva(brahma principle), should necessarily read this. When  reading  jnanasindhu vedantha kavya(poetry),in mind meaning emits(spurisu).desire to listen is produced. Later to achieve brahmathathva intellect desires. Then world appears like play fun(Leela vinoda) to achiever(practitioner).

 

29) to  lose bhava’s(this worldly,iha,mundane)  karmas this book should be remembred.if’Jnanasindhu’is touched  done sins will be solved.anthahkarana is of five kinds.knower(jnathri),mind(manassu),  intellect(buddhi) chittha, ego (ahamkara). Chittha is in fourth place.

 

30) by shiva’s grace ture bliss(happiness) is got. Like liberation lass   pulling saree border as though enjoying rathis sukha(love play). This reader achiever(practitioner,saadhaka) should read with interest and sincerity.

 

31) every minute brahma chinthana (thought) should be done. Ten part from oneself father-mother,,relaives will be liberated from  vyavaharika( practical,transactional,business world) world.

 

32) In chamarasana prabhulingaleele also ,having same feel a ppoem comes. Thiw work composed by chidanana is not  conducu(history,behavior) of  world change.

This is one  thgathva enquiry history(behavior). Oneself becoming brahma only,  great logic(yukthi) and great liberation. Due to cause of chandassu(metre) long  Svaras into short svaras.

 

33) for this reason in introductory poems, I am telling this  book.Owner(lord) of this book is  Chidananda guru. Here by three  bases so as to applicable poet has used word ‘chidananda’. called devathathmaka(related to god),gurvarthaka(related to guru), and related to oneself (svarthaka) so as to be applicable word ‘chidananda’is used.

 

34) Contemplation of this work(krithi) becomes blessed in five kinds. Listeners,Tellers,commentsaters(those who give descriptions,or vyakhyanakaras),writers, honouring if these people are there work becomes blessed. Honour to respect-eligibilty(fitness)!

PRAKARANA 2(CHAPTER 2): ELIGIBILITY FEATURES  PRAKARANA:

ADHIKARI LAKSHANA PRAKARANA:

INDICATION:

Karthikeya, skanda,guha, kumara, Shikhivahana, Senani, devisutha, tharakala,Armoga, krounchabhedis excetras are equivalent words of  Shanmukha name. as soon as he was born, six star abhimani devathas( diety in chief)  came to feed him with breast milk. The kumara   with sic faces did  breast milk drinking of  those six. To krithika nakshathrabhimani gods,  as he is son, to him name karthikeya came. This is the  for his  becoming to be called Shanmukha.

 

 Svahadevi is daughter of Daksha. She is fire god (agni)wife. When agni  fascinated svahadevi except Arundhathi(vasista’s wife), getting remaining six rushi wives form,joining agni  fulfilled his mind desire. Svahadevi delivering kid called  Skanda, from him got boons. Skanda described religiou secrets.Killed Tharaka and cut krouncha mountain. As he grew in  svahe to him  name Shikhithanaya came into practice.

 

   1)Name of this krithi(work) is ‘jnanasindhu’. But vijnanasindhu, Sujnanasindhu, these words can also be called.This is poet’s wishes(desire). The final fruit of jnana-shasthra’s is  silence only. That can be called ‘brahma mouna’(brahma silence).

 

2)     Devotion  in matter of guru, interest in thathvas(principles), Dispassion that  births are enough, desire to know Brahma..to those who have these charecters ‘jnanasindhu’should be told.

 

3)     Grand mother -Grand father ,”hearing your scriptures fever came to our grandfather. Our house bufelo did not give milk,,our hiuse life spoiled. By your book there was no much profit”to those who tell like this jnanasindhu should never be told.

 

4)     Seven maharshies-kashyapa, athri,bharadvaja, vishwamithra, gouthama, jamadagni, and vasista.

 

5-8) killing of tharakasura was needed. Seven rushies and gods prayed parashiva. Then from semen (valience) of parashiva shanmukha was born. Oon seventh night after birth he killed Tharakasura. Then  seven rushies became happy doing upanayana  by giving brahmopadesha, blessed to maintain vow(vratha)  then shanmukha crossing seven rivers, visiting piligrimages,s came to ‘pampa’piligrimage. he sat doing sandhyavandana on  the bank of  Thungabhadra. Parvathi came there. Carried him near shiva. Shanmukha did namaskarams to feet  of shiva. Hiva by his ten shoulders  lifted him and embraced.He told about kind of killing tharakasura, and about oiligrimages  he told to shiva.

 

9) shanmukha is telling to shiva about himself.’who am I’ itself is first question in vedantha. If it is known remaining will be known. Sriramana’Soham’advice.

 

10) ‘I have become you,that is brahma’myself-yourself ifference vision .when  this difference vision goes, then ‘brahmabhava’is got.

 

11) ‘brahma  thathva’ has no form. It is selfbright. To whom nexperience of brahma thathva happens, they will become brahma.is it possible?

 

12) mrigapani-eshwara. In world there  are knowers(knowledges). Depending upon them, ans service is done, like sharpened  Iron piece, leaving  previous grahikes gets reduced. Later purna jyothi which is beyond intellect in heart lotus appears. that itself is brahma.

 

!3-19) those who contemplate on this book are eligibles(authorities). They will get athmananda(athma bliss,athma joy). In well ploughed land   manure put(poured) land  when seed is sowd,crop comes.  Those who are eligible to vedantha ,as better crops come.In barren land crops will not come.s These are non eligible for vedantha.

 

21) sukrithi(good works)-liberation desirer,prakrithi—loukikas,vikrithi(mundane)-in desire of this worldly life.Here words sukrithi,-akritha,-liberation-,prakrithi these words are used.

 

22) Avadhutha lives without  parive( outer semse……?) of anthing. He has no difference of mud-fragrance—good smell. These only are eligible for this vedantha.

 

23) to book ‘jnanasindhu’ eligibility featrures are being told.

24)To whom to give house,if there is money he will donate

Peaceful.no worry even a single day

When will service of  mahathmas(great souls)  happens  to me

 Like this thinks in mind eligible person.

24) Such person is  to know vedantha true eligible person.

 

25)He has controlled  hunger and thirsts,he has left unnecessary talks

Has degenerated(dried up) body,

Doen not want sense objects(vishaya vasthus),appears  like child(kid)

No rasa(taste) –kasa(dirt) to him ,he is eligible.

 

26)searches in places where it is told,will listen by giving mind

Thinks in mind let this life be burnt

He will have viveka,burden of this life  should not be borne

Will be searching for mula purushas(source persons).

27) If sinful words are talked once,if walked in sinful path

While his father and mother are beating

Keeping mind on ekanatha.

 Why this friendship to me, reading manthra of sorrow

Will be like dumb that eligible(adhikari).

 

29) service of better people he will do with very much joy

will be rolling in yard of sathya purushas(truthful persons)

 will be in chitthashuddhi(purity of mind)

,has left much shyness

Truthful he is ,he is eligible.

 

30) Will not get bored in guru services will not get bored to what is told

Will  not get boredeven if hands and legs are pained.

Will not get bored even in difficulty,now he is desciple

He is without boredom.he is eligible.

30) Guru should choose suitable disciple. He should not cross guru’s words.”unless you become servent of guru  liberation is not got’.Thai talk should be noted. Thgis feature of good disciple.

 

31)In karma there are two kinds. Good work and bad work.

No fear to mind,no karma which is anxious

Nothing called  smell  vasana getting fully destroyed.

No pride of castes,to one who walks in ethical path

There is no holy or sinful  smell to him.

 

32) here  who is suitable (eligible) to  numukshathva(desire of liberation).

 How is my luck,how is guru’s grace

 how is to me  joy(bliss) of yoga practice.

How it is possible to me, how is liberation(mukthi)

He is eligible for liberation.

 

33) Shanmukha-one who has six faces. One who has desire of liberation himself is eligible for liberation.Remaing are non eligibles.

 

33)Then shiva told,then shanmukha told  you told mumukshu(liberation desirer)

Tell me what is opnion of this

Told with smile on that day-one who has liberation desire

Is father, he is eligible for liberation.

 

34)Those who are inrested in doing fights, to such matter blinds told in head part of Vedas, meanings of principles  should not  be told.

 

 34)Listen son, except for eligible person  will this thathvajnana tastes9looks well)

If fight is got enough, who tell to remove sabara (band which is used on horses or oxes for carrying luggage)

35 – 37)  to those who are in kama(lust) fickleness  like’ pouring kenda’(burning charcoal). To such person even if kenda rains pour  they will not return from fickleness.

 

36-39) To whom on seing great purushas  doubt arises and to mahathma  will have no experience.Thinking like this, who with pride(ego)  blames them  to such durathmas(bad persons)  principles(thathvas) should not be told.

35)sandal kasthuri  flower fragrance,getting decorated by leaves

Loving wife tasting her  lip amritha

As dullards with indulgence getting spoiled fools

 Beauty itself is jnana thathva.

 

36)lifting up faces applying   scent to head

 fixing thurayies in lanes and lanes

 joining with lasses  to those who  speak  naughty words

This jnana thathva (knowledge principle) will not taste

 

37) though there is one wife before,brings another wife

 For each matter  boils and pities.

 To one who has bad behavior,will not taste thathva jnana

To one who has lut fickleness(kam chapalya)  it will be like pouring kenda(burning charcoal).

 

38) nobody to light the lamp,desiring  that lamp should stand

Sinner god has made to me like this.

 To one who boils with pain

 As though sin has cometo him anger boils.

 

39) To them on seing great persons(mahapurushas)  if he builds guess

ahaha will they not eat and defecate like this.

Fattening with pride, to such person if thathva is told

they will get body burn,this is true.

 

40) why kasthuri to donkey, why things and ornaments to monkey

To one who is in sorrow  daily, why health.

Why hapazard to yogi if extended  to fools,

Is it good  this thathvajnana.

 

41) to  servent  why  leadership in house, why jeva(…….?) to ox

To dead person why body pride?

 Why to adopted son, why much devotion  towards  father

Is this thathva jnana  suitable to fools.

 

42) why sharpnmess to saiike(an instrument) ,to doni why hiding cocealmentS

Why to kona(he bufello)  veena song sound note.

 To one who I is reduced(serious)  why medicines, why mirror to blind

Why thathva to fools.

 

43) to prostitute why  dispassion dress  Why to hen  hen  to give simply

To cat which eats many rats why chastity?

 To bull (ghuli) why  sense winnership , to wulf  why bhasma(sacred ash) to  forehead

Why thathva to wickeds

 

44) to crow why  woolen blanket? To ols owl why company of people

Why tune(raga) to dog,why dance to camel

To begger why state lakshmi,to patient kanaka ghee

 To owl humans why thathva(principles)

 

45) after putting off kenda(burning charcoal)  black coal is obtained. That coal even if dipped in milk it will not lose it’s  black character. To one who has no intellect ,how ever much taught,previous vasanas(desires,smells,memories) Will not leave.this is rare comparison.

45) bringing charcoal only  by diping in milk will  dirt go off

In  self form(svarupa) only  if they become pure what is

Use of teacging to those who are bound objects.

 

46)by keeping daani(………?),if wants to make better horse

Will donkey become better horse

 Gracing  to butthi(food box) thieves,if brahma’s truth path is taught

 Chitthakannatha hare(………..?) their leaf.

 

47) making monkey to drown in water,

if told to make better  dvija(grahmin),

will monkey become dvija to see

if made to sit by bringing monkey minded,if in ingitha To knmow what is hidden in mind) jnana is got

they  are of pure company(sanga) ,tell treuth now

48) by doing processes felale ,if told I will make male

Female will not become male

 by leaving long sigh s in family  using much scolds

 why this thathva to cutters.

 

49) To sinner why supreme peace to sinner why kindness(dakshinya)

To humans who do sins why safety to them

Why lamp to thief, to hell going sinful family wells

Why thathvajnana to him|

 

50) everyday frog will be in water only. Goat lives only by eating lef. Sepent will be in cave without noise. In the same what is the use if man bath everyday? Taking phalahara(tifin) for many vows(vrathas), if lives what is the use? By sitting in cave by doing penance what is the use? Sujnana is needed to all three. For that  thathva chinthana (thinking of principles ) is very essential.

 

51)frog bath is everyday,is doing daily without missing

If peel (thoppalu,thogate) is given  goat will eat

In soundless  cave serpemts sleeps

What if it exists in cave without knowledge|

 

51-52) though  holeya  by birth(caste), if athmajnana is got, he will be called brahmana only. In case if there is no athmajnana(knowledge of self,brahmajnana) he is  holeya only. If he knows himself(self realization)  though he is born in low caste he is god only.he is brahma svarupa(form ) only.

 

52)Duck sitting in bed of water only,performs  as though meditation of joy

 Seen by all donkey applies sacred ashes(bhasma)

With  much hairs grown bear is in  digambara(having diections as cloth)

Without knowledge of liberation.

 

53) by covering   character of his  wife only,tells behavior to others.

  Except Food cooked by his mother  wife

If bufello dung is brought and kept,to one who tells  vegetable(playa) is good

Should not be told this Thathva|

 

54)like this as cause of knowledge,like this  is eligibility features

Like this told to kumara(shanmuga)

With joy shiva’s lotus feet, getting grace in mind

Leaving illusion remembered Chidanandathma guruvarana|

PRAKARANA (CHAPTER)3: VAIRAGYA NIRNAYA PRAKARANA:

(DISPASSION DECISSION CHAPTER):

INDICATION:

1)Who is viraktha(dispassioned)? Rakthi means desire. Dispassioned(virakthi)  means one who has left all kinds of desires. Samsrithi means family. Dukharnava means sea of sorrow.

1)drowning in solid  sorrow of  birth death  disease fears

Getting bored to mind  leaving family affection

Becoming dispassioned himself by himself.every  day  sea of sorrow

Neglecting  who joins protecting guru  is dispassioned(viraktha).

 

2) By following words of sadhus  wife and brother’s wife died

 Disease is not cured,no relief in house

Leaving path of sadhus  if told I will  approach  kamya guru

 to such persons thathvajnana should not be told.

 

2)  By following  sadhus and santhas  wife and youger brother died. By athpurushas(sadhus)  disease of house children was not cured. Why should I leave household works and do their service? Leaving path of sadhus  I will go to kamya guru who will give my desired  enjoyment” to those who tell like this, thei principle should not be told. This is summary of this poem.

 

3)son listen I will tell one more,scamful(complicated) family details

 If told with laugh,heard done and seen

 So as to be beautiful to mind of yogis they will spit  as‘thu’

They have made this  saliva thobala and have left.

3)This is dirty family. To tell it’s low condition is laughable. To mind of yogis fanily will not hold good. On this they have spit as ‘thu’ before only. In family which is  like eaten and left enjalu(saliva) who has desire will have to experience more and more difficulties.

4)  I will tell one word of dirt, without boredom listen son

Will get destroyed  at end not true to see

there is no desire in it,disgustibg is much sorrow

you know all,I will teach told sambashiva.

 

5)To urine of other father and mother,your wife has born

To one’s own  father and mother’s urine oneself is born

Your wife born in other yoni(vagina)  joining in front of your urine

To humans this  this urine life.

 

 

 

4-5)To other  mother and father my wife is born. Next one day when united by union of semen and blood children will take birth. Without knowing this truth

 Our life is of  stool(mala) and urine.

 

5)     By taking birth and dieing , after death birth

By births and deaths  again in birth and death.

Place to these is  other’s urine,or rotating always

Low does not come to them once.

 

6)Acharya shankara bhagavathpada  in his ‘moha mudgara sthothra’  has told”punarapi  jananam punarapi  maranam’ . life is  series(cycle) of  births and deaths. If we know this, we will come to know  value of virakthi(dispassion).

 

7)what they will bring at the time of death,what they will carry  at death time

In births and deaths  mere knot

 Up till that  in middle  if lived for  fourdays they say it is their luck s

To me laugh comes on listening.

 

7-8) death when and how it will come we  can’t say.

8)At the time of death   to wife keeps thousands of gold

When death comes seing wife pities.

Calling wife by side  keeping hand on her

Within few minutes leaves jiva.

 

9) Seing house only he cries,sees sons and cries

Scalling wife cries  loudly

To those who are close  sees and cries

He does not know his carrying by yama messengers

 

9)) before coming of death condition of  family, concept of death if known uncertainity of family will be known.

10) During day does transactions,when day is comp;leted at night

With nuch scamful  ashrama dharma  in company of women.

 

10)We bon’t know when will yama’s messengers will come   pull and carry us. But we are in joy enjoyment only.

While sleeping tightly with weapons  yama’s messengers

Will carry.This people won’t see.

 

11) He is responding to thirst and hunger,is talking false words only

  he will fill up food  three panchers

 seing moon faced women (lasses) addiction(vyasana) of lust has increased

he does not knoew  his carrying by yamadhuthas(messengers)

 

12)will peel one, will not return money to others

Embraces and fights with all

 Like sheeps groups  getting fattened ,in mind thinking  as festival

He does not know yama’s messengers will carry him.

 

13) they say touch,memses menses ,they don’t know how to touch

By joining of menses blood only embryo (mudde,ball)is formed.

 Menses blood itself is  ear nose, menses blood are legs and hands

They don’t know the source of  menses blood.they are fools.

 

14)If pot becomes unholy,if diped and kept in water

 ppot goes as unholy(mailige), will carry and burn.

People on drowing in water how  will  muttu chattu(unholy)  leave

If they are burnt like path  will go.

 

15) chidanandsa vashutharu uses words muttu-mutti-mutte in social and spiritual situations. In infoms method of growth of  chila in mother’s uterus(womb). Along with that in caste difference ;touch’ poet uses in vyangya(ironically).

 

16) Whe in mother’s uterus ,creatures will drill and eat body

If much poured  sous and kharas  are sticking to panda(embryo)

There will be churuk churuk burning,while attaching to him with speed

 Hara only knows that great sorrow.

 

16) water filling pot if it becomes mailige(unholy) it will be washed by Hara only knows that freatt sorrowwater. If pot is dipped in water how will mailige(unholiness) go? In the same way is it possible for humans  to wash mailige from water?

 

17) When there sare stools and urines in heart,is rolling in stools,

 Eating  stools like creature

That sorrow should not be told, sorrow  should not be told hara hara

 Only shulapani(eshwara) knows it.

 

18) when there is sorrow in  stomach, on removing it  may births sorrow

 On completion of it  to child  cry and sorrow

 Later sorrow of youth  then comes old age sorrow

When sorrow is like this  how they are happy.

 

17-18)VChild rolls inside uterus(womb) with  flesh and muscle. Therefore sorrow of birth, cry while in childhood, while in youth still more sorrow, In old age still more sorrow.

 

19) In childhood in mere play  plant went for four days,

Later when becomes young lust anger ego pride.

Only four days to pass old age time,in that matter

Time passed  only in this way.

 

20)  kuruba carrying  harake(wishes)  to power(shakthi,goddess), catch to carry it

 Sheep without responding  selects and eats grass.

 Mad prople without knowing ,like sheeps in family

 Like kuruba cut’s sheep.

19-20) When kurubas  for harake bring sheep and keep in front of temple,,sheep will be eating grass. It has no knowledge that is is going to be cut.In the same way, who is death faced there will be no knowledge of death.

 

21) to catch and bring one sheep, on that day seing their face,

Today there killing me

Dullard without knowing that, tells  father mother wife childern

On believing like sheep dedication.

 

22) kuruba thinking that I have cut sheeo,with joy carries this wishes

To cut humans  yama puts  harake (Blessings)

Sheep festival to  shakthi godess, human dedication to   death godess

 Like kuruba blessings  to yama and hara

 

23) Oneself alone is taking birth, oneself alone is growing

One oneself is dieing at end.

Oneself  with  friendsrelatives, oneself alone is getting tired

 One oneself is under control of yama.

 

24)  extraordinary tree  of  wife and son has grown

 Unlimited birds will sit  in minutes.

 Churning  in hurry within a moment they fly off and go

Family has this kind of movement(fate).

 

21-24) Here family is compared with atree. In evening  in tree birds sit.Morning they will fly off. Family is temporary like that,non permanent(transient).Samsrithi-family.

 

25)I will not eat prarabdha (past karmas),is it possible for anybody

This is prarabdha see to carry kapala( head skull)

Bold listen we are foxes and dogs,to complain shiva and scold

Who will experience (will brother in law eat?......?).

 

25) prarabdha means a karma which has started to give fruit(result)

 

26) time will not miss  if inside house,time will not miss if outside of house,

Time will not if in upper and lower world

 Time will not miss if in water, time will not miss if tree is climbed

Time will not to miss anybody

 

27) will not miss if you are in bodys,will not miss even if you are with begetted mother

Will not if  in walk or in sleep.

Will not miss if drowned in sea, if lived in forest also will not miss

Will not miss even if there is no work to do.

 

26-27) time means  time,death,yama. Man in house,outside near water,near tree,in any support(residence), death is sure.  Man is always living in fear of time

(death,yama).

28) whole world is under control of  time, sun moon are under control of time  planets,stars, and earth are under control of time.

 Even threemurthies are  under control of time,,all are under time control without knowing that time is not for them only,are getting spoiled humans

 

28)whole world is under control of time, sun moon are under control of time. Planets,stars, earth  are under control of time. Three statues brahma,Vishnu,maheswara are under control of time.All are under control of god.man is getting destroyed  without knowing  that he is under control of time.

 

29) Are doing kamyakarmas(karma with desire), are desiring kamyas only.

 Kamya of house, money,animals,state, kingship.

They ntell they have earned kamyas,,on completion of kamya people are drying

Kamya karma should not be remembered .

 

29)Are doing  kamyakarmas. Are desiring for desies only,with kamya only they do house,money,animal,state,kingship.

 

30) ashwamedha is sapthathanthu(…..?) ,without doing for sake decation to eshwara

Should not be done for union with Rambha  Menake

To get temporary post heaven and hell is wonder

Like this they are running like horse.

 

30) Ashwamedha  yajna should be  done  with intellect  of dedication to eshwara. Not for rambhe-menaka’s  body parts joy.,or for desire of  god posts. Previously kings aere celebrating  ashwamedha yaga  for sake of dignity.

 

31) they are going to heaven again,again they are going  to hell

Again from that side to this side laali kolave(tube0 should be there.

Moves around karmas from iha and para

Are wandering like donkey.

 

31) Weaver while weaving threads  there should be intervowenness (hasu-hokku) For that lali and tube are necessary. In the same way humans also are running behind desire of Iha and para (this and other world).

 

32)wha do you tell about wicked persons,fiils who think  should be kept for tomorrow

To tell their difficulties  boredom

 Yama will cut them without leaving  them , loukika people to  heaven and hell

Are rotating like laali.

 

32)  what to tell about wicked people?if tried to tell their difficulties  boring. Yama will cut them without leaving. Loukika(this worldly,mundane0 people will go to heaven and hell. .they rotate like laali.

 

33)In youth  pride eating eating, like  dog barking to elders

Telling fatness of body, will g to severe hell.

He will go to Rourava hell, they will drag

This condition is due to blaming of  punya porushas.

 

34)If once elders are blamed, their  father mother pithrus

suddenly comes to   hell getting down fron hell.

 With ego,body pride, shouting without keeping quiet

They will struggle in sin  their prarabdha(pst karma).

 

34) on blaming elders once,  his mother and fathers and pithrus  will suddenly come hell coming from heaven. With ego and body pride,telling without keeping quiet will get sin. This iis their prarabdha(past karma).

 

35)If blame is remembered in mind,solid great rourava will happen

Sinless listen if told in  wotds,no end  to it .

 At end what to tell, dog births seven crores

Without knowing mahathmas they blame.

 

35) If blame is remembered in mind, severe rourava hell will be got.if blamed in words it has no end. He will get dog’s birth. Without knowing great Mahathmas (great souls) people blame.

 

36) pig comes  with much love,eats stool balls

 Holeyas (those who desure for females), in the same way on looking females

If one is like husband with mundes(widowers)  and old women

Will carry them by  hitting breaking  buttocks bone.

 

36) If there are stools pig,on seing it eats with much love. Those who desire for females when they see women(lasses).such people yama’s  messengers wil;l beat and break buttucks and carry.

 

37) old skin is  amritha to mouth,amritha is mud graa to donkey

Company (union?) with woman is amritha to  to luty (kamuka) people

 Thinking s amritha if enjoyed, yama’s people get down

Will carry as amritha.

 

37)  Amritha to dog is like old leather(skin), amritha is like grass to donkies.To lust people  company(union?) with females is  lika amritha. If enjoyed thinking it as amritha, yama’s people will come down and carry away.

 

38) Sin karmas joining together has come  down as female,

 If company(union) with woman is done it is sinful

 Sin grings to much sorrow brings sin to births and births

If females are left sin will go.

 

38) All sinful karmas joining together ,comes in form of female(woman). If union with females is done sin will attach(stick). Sin will lead to much  sorrow.it brings sorrow  to many many births. If females are left sins will go off.

 

39) women’s   form is cdefect form,it should not be desired

It is cause of destruction  no other fuuit

Females genital region is dirty,mell comes to nose

They don’t know that  there is ghasi(orrow) from that.

39) beaty of females should not be desired. It  destrys intellect.No other useful fruit. Women’s genital region isdirty.Smell comes to nose.People does not know it is dangerous and injurious.

40) If memory of yoni(vagina) is done, even to better people flares up (bhugilu),

  In that only blood and urine will be flowing

Company of yoni (vagina) is hell’s company yoy of yoni is  death joy

One who leaves yoni is punya person.

 

40) better person without going to  sex desire, he will move away from it. If addiction of females is attached,is like great door of hell. Therefore one should be away from females.This is hidden meaning.

 

41) In yoni(vagina) hell is filled up, all parts of body are hell

Hell world is not in separate yama world.

41) hell is filled in yoni (vagina). All parts of body are hell only. It is not separately in yamaloka. It is hell if spoken with them(woman).people  does not know hell is true.

 

42) blood,flesh,bones  get matured and express as  doll.Blood filling up in body gives brightness to face. If one is powerful and leaves female he is called liberated(muktha). Viraktha(dispassioned) is one who leaves female,gold,soil.

 

43)If breasts are seen matured muscle mass. If head is seen  very nuch hairs. All body parts are  dirt(hole).fascination in all body parts is Dirt(hole). Without ble to leave these things man is getting spoiled.

 

44) To bright face of female, without enlighting burning flane, like fish caught in baut struggles. Reapeating in mind, mads are struggling. They don’t know plan of blaming and leaving.

 

45) Rodent(rat,heggana) towards rock stone, as it rushes like lust arrow .They boil with increased worries.he desires for female. He will become cheap,he will reduce his value.

 

46) If he leaves female cries One should not pity  as woman. Female is pishachi(devil,ghost).If she is left good effect(result).By good company(sanga)  always he becomes mangalathmaka. First female should be left.

 

47)One who leaves is punya person.he is blessed also.s One who leaves female is nithyananda(eternal joy).defectless(niramaya).All difficulties are due to female only, By female only all stages(ranga), Female is death to knowledge.

 

48) Who constructed  this female on earth.Shiva shiva. Instead of calling mari people are calling nari(lass,female) says mahathma(great soul). They won’t unite(join) with such females.They remain at distance. If this fact is not known they will get down into severe hell.

 

49) I am a shyless person.To tell all these things shy is happening. Who will live with fear about these things in three worlds? Shiva on telling like this  to Shanmukha(six faced)  this much ,shanmukha asks his mother parvathi”  How you will be?”

 

50) Hey mad son, you did not enquire and understand me. If seen form(rupa) appears.If not seen only bayalu(shunya,field). Vedas can’t know me. He is lonely field only. Just for play I have graced and come down.

 

51) I am niravayava(bodyless ,partless),nishkalanka-defectless, nirupama-uncomparable, nirabhasa- not visible to eye, niranja-unattached, Nirmaya-mayaless, niravarana-boundaryless,nirguna-attributeless,having no thrigunas, what I company of parvathi? Such person how can he undergo company of parvathi?this is summary of this poem(shatpadi).

 

52-53)this world is under control of  death. Man is under conrol of death here listen. But shiva is not under control of death. So world calls him as”mrithyunjaya”. Four Vedas tell ‘mrithyunjayaya’ only. In Eshwara only there is creation,maintainance,destruction. Death has got female form. Therefore it is not wrong to call ‘mrithyunjaya’. Shiva is in witness form to death.

 

54-57) He opened mouth and showd fearful  hells to Shanmukha.  Hell,rourava hell, kumbhi hell, pathi hell, fearful hell, Roudra hell, jwala(flame) hell. Fear hell, severe hell. Bhishana hell, papa hell(sin hell), Dagdha hell, bhaktha hell(devotee hell) Damstra hell, Sheshana hell, ugra hell (cruel,severe hell), pretha hell,  creature hell(krimi hell), long hellI,dhirgha hell (long hell), kuntha hell, gridhra hell(eagle hell), excetra hellds guha saw. In garuda purana names oof these hells come. These hells are experienced according to their their  sibfulkarmas  done.

 

58)  In these many hells,stool(mala),urine,blood, cartilage(majje), nedhya,semen bad smells and various kinds of  creatures and crows  will be waiting.

 

59) Totally hells are nine crores. Their width is ten lakhs yojanas. Below it twenty lakhs  pathala worlds appear. There is no day here.innumerable,not possible to count.

 

60) to fort door keys have been put. Near door Demons are  holding open sword  are watching khaidies (arresteds). Till brahma dies one should be there only. These are all descriptions of hell world. They hace come in various epics(puranas). Specially In Garuda purana all these matters have come.

 

61) to those who have  done  much sins  makes to fall in this kind of hell, What shall I say about that. Crows carry and make to fall. Without able to go go,bitten by creatures,by crying only come up and float.Above well on pecking will drown.

 

62) shout that they don’t want,shout with sorrow.fear filled face,we don’t know.It is like order of yama,on examination told yama is doing by my order.

 

63) Again appearing around,not possible to answer, many batthis(thirty two)  weapons saw, hammer, kodathies. Her, shulas(sharo weapons) rope, holing pressing forceps.,these kinds of weapons will be there.

 

64) burning sand, chirana,dabbana(big needle)  drilling bhairiges,chisels,Steel ball, Rods,salikes(instruments)guddali, small swords  knives .In this way I have told various weapons.

 

65)heated pillar,heated metal,heated led,heated thavara

Heated copper,heated steel statues.

Hot oil,hot water,heated ganji(porridge),hot Iron

By hot stone  rotary .like thousands of hot things.

67) will cut nose,will cut face,will cut soge ,will cut stomachparts

 they will cut,will cut bola,will cut figure.

 Will cut hands and legs on upper part,will cut cheks and ears

Will cut tongue,will do what yama tells.

 

68) will put to stone rotary, will kill with all weapons,

 Will fill lime in mouth so as not to talk.

Will keep stone  in eye,will pour kalli milk

All they will do with much love.

 

70)  will beat by thornful weapons, will tie leg and pull in thorn

Will burn with kolli(burning stick)  face and body.

 In flame only pushing dogs,thorn is rising  in body on hearing.

 

71 )tiger bearpig wulf, once serpent,bufelo, scorpion

Julu julu flowing river,tick, gungadi

Later bug ,mosquito,bees,in lightless  jail like house

They will put.

 

72) what shall I tell son, what they will do to sin done humans

 To himself good,but to one who eats(suffers) it is difficult.

By getting feet of jnana purushas only,long low family with happyness

Becoming onself in oneself  without knowing this,it’s fruit is like this.

 

 

73)punishing in this way they will do s in reduction(papakaya) by half.

Know that kind,they will tie remaining half sin d send away.

 Again they will do sin in this world, half sin reduction they will do here

In this way upto brahmakalpa(yuga of brahma).

 

74)as body vanishes,again will adopt  in painful body,

Will enter in this way in infinet bodies.

 Know son to each jiva,let them know this kind of difficulty

They only  know and do in way of dharmashasthra(religious scriptures).

 

75)If once  sin reduction(papakshaya) is done, jivaganga becomes cleared.

 Transactions of brahma rudra hari

Ones enemy making to remain half sin making their agriculture jivas

 They Punishes jivas  as per karma.

 

76) on reaching heaven by doing punya works only

Will tie half punya  in saree border.

Will tie punya only and send,he to do punya again

Fruit of not knowing oneself by oneself  is of this kind.

 

77) this family is poison,  these troubles are poisons

 Children excetras wife and relatives are poison.

This business(transactions) are opoison, luck excetra house

This is fruit of  unbalanced(unequal)  family.

 

78) son friend wife relative,with very much money and house

Time passes in sorrow(cry) and joy

covered by many various  fascination ropes,pressing with lust and anger

like this takes birth and dies with difficulty.

 

79) later what to tell about family,it is tiredness,difficult, loss,cheating(ghathaka)

If one knows this ,he bis punya person.

 With grace guru’s lotus feet,by worshiping  if union is achieved

To him now good sukrithi,he becomes himself.

(he knows himself,self realization)

 

80)at the time where are  no many persons,with much devotion Later in householder, householdership ,kindness in animals

Through guru jnana advice should be got.

to those who talk more,who have no shame(mind control)dame(body comtrol),who have grim face,this guru thathva should not be told.

 

81)like this shanmukha,to reside in heart(antharanga)

On explanation by Vishnu listening guha became wondered

 With joy when dispassion gets matured in mind,seing shiva

Was thinking about chidanandathma guruvara.

Sharva told to Shanmukha

Pramana vakya of all shruthi(Vedas)

Cause of all  guru’s grace detremination

 

1)joining hads bending head, keeping attention in  feet only

Supreme man protect  sacchidananda sarvesha

Sadguru only graces, which is good path (sanmarga) I don’t know

Tell,now I don’t want this world(bhava) family.

 

2) Words of wife are true,if wife tells to bark  let us brk

Wife is friend let us be good with her

Let us say wife is good charectered,one who dances as she tellds

To stubborn low people this thathva is not suitable.

 

3) when shiva told with laugh ,I will follow and know

sinless listen  kindlessly about guruvara

 solid path is not needed.listen to false path

to you it is not good path.

 

Summary: To change shanmukha from guru path, to know guha’s path  shiva teels don’t go to guru path. He is telling like this in next poems.

4) To hold path of sadguru, family will get destroyedIntellectless desire sadguru path

You leave this path and do family, who did they tell you intellect iwill tell cleverness  listen to my words,listen son told.

 

5)Family is preyomarga(preyas path) Guru is shreyas path.you leave shreyo path and follow preyas path. Dharma is shreyas path,adharma (ill religion is is preyas path.this preyas path will give happiness.

 

6)     Don’t do namaskarams to guru. When you see him don’t rise up.s be blaming guru always. Be in family enjoy enjoyments(bhoga  always).7)

 

7-8-9) shsnmukha you are sense objects enjoyer. Kamadeva has resuded in you. You are filled with mada(pride),jealousy(mathsara),fascination(moha),anger. You be happy in that only.know guru path as bad only.

 

10)  Sex enjoyment is important (love play). Not guru’s feet When we are in house of death ,why should you remember Mrithyunjaya.thhis is feel here.

 

 11) like words of  those who have Bhutha cheste and change(ugliness) in intellect  these guru paths. They are meaningless. Singalika- means a kind of monkey.

 

12)karma of body on oneside, memory of maya another side,like childrens  mind runs. These types of enjoyments are there in family. When it is so  to hold guru path is very hard.

 

13) can we leave wife and children, can we leave state?

Can we leave cloth  garland, sandal(fragrance) ornament.

  Shall we leave six rasa foods, shall we leave behavior of ashrama

Will anybody  become mad to go to guru path

 

14) father is son only,father does  son’s work with extrardinaryness

If fathere dies there is no death to son  causelessly.

 If father is angry son becomes extraordinary cool

This is ethics to path movers be like world.

 

15) On shiva telling like this, drowning in pain shanmukha

 Will fate win,In pa I havest

Done much sin,which crime I have done to sathpurushas(good people)

Why this kind came to me burn family told(shanmukha).

 

16) hey guru listen father mother can be earned, to earn you

Who is infinet to get is not easy

Will anybody  keep hungry  person  in sunlight will he tollerate

Don’t push me towards family.

 

17)getting very much tired in family, struggling  since many births,

Getting rotened boiling in various worries myself.

 Haluva(……?) family play in you,like datthuri to mad

Like giving to eat family,you have taught.

 

18) with laugh jagadisha told you are tender kid

Why guru path to one  who is called jiva

Don’t go to that direction,unless sense objects  vanish(reduce)

 Guru path will not come

Don’t move to guru path  go to family.

 

18) shanmukha told to shiva “to me family is not needed,your grace only is enough “. Family is better .you move to family.Don’t stimulate me. These two poems are Ironical(vyangya).

 

19) Shanukha rised,joined hands ,sinless listen I am here

 To your order I nwill follow.

If you follow what  I tell your servent, otherwise listen again

You will get dog’s  birth.

 

20)Shiva told to his son, give me promise

I will tell sadguru pth without delay.

If you keep fim devotion in me

I will make you to cross this  family ocean.

 

21)moving away from your feet, will I be in family

it is not possible to repay your debt even for brahma excetras.

 Even if I repay till my death it is not possible to pay

If I leave you,is there fate(gathi,destination)  to me?

 

22) But you leave kama(lusy). Speak truth,leave anger

Leave false, leave mada(pride) and jealousy

hold peace and purity hold ,hold danthi

If yiu are fit hold sadguru path.

 

23) Don’t sow semen(bindu) to vagina(yoni) ,have limited food,

 Keep away sleep and do guru chinthana.

Cut sum of doubt,,without allowing mind to move

Hold guru feet in recapitulation(manana)

,you will become true  joyful.

 

24) don’t blame anybody, don’t be prideful by other’s  praise

 Don’t keep leg in skill , worldly behaviors

 Son’t be disturbed by trouble  of senses don’t drown in favour

In Agama path ,be in much dispassion.

 

25) Don’t get bored by athma thoughts,to world be like a kid

Don’t plunge   in worries in sea’s waves

Don’t come to bhava(this world) again, Be in despair will all  temporary joys

Have liberation joy,be in true joy.

 

26)Donn’t ply with wickeds,don’t join with fools,

Don’t give meanings to empty(false) words,

Don’t leave friendship of wickeds

Be away from wickeds,be with good intellect.

 

27)Donmn’t desire and taste  pakvanna(……?),don’t give ear to self praise (athma sthuthi)

Don’t allow to gro bud of karma, don’t join wife and sons

Don’t fall to bhava(thjis world,ihaa),don’t nleave vaway good friendship,

Great dignity  don’t  allow  to enter ears. Be cautious.

29) Don’t believe in this request,,don’t close eyes,with ignorence

Don’t open manthra with anybody, fight with guru ‘s blamers,leaving  prana

Don’t spend,don’t like female’s words day and night

Be cautious, be in guru’s dependence.

 

30) You become yogi,becaome continuous  joy enjoyer

always  swing with  joy(bliss), do continuous furu’s meditation.

 Be dumb to  to nature’s talk, don’t go accordint to will and wish

see guru in all including you.

 

31) yogis see themselves,yogis see directly(sakshath)

Will not see humans in their dreams

 They see women as death,will see prathiste

What shall I say about  their  self joy(self bliss,svathmananda)

 

32) They (yoggies) eat as linga, they expect s linga oly

Smell as linga only, they are linganga.(lingaand devotee)

They awaken asas lina only,won’t leave linga and move

Without forgetting linga  enjoy yogis.

 

33) Their body parts,form(rupa)s shape of their body, laugh, words

 Their feels,their  varnashrama beauty

Their mischiebes, their styles their shills(tactics) all these

Thinking all these as brahma ,they themselves become brahma

 

34) Akhanda(partless) without elevations(high)  and pits(low)

Their hose is  shining peaceful bright

 They have many kinds of flashes crossing thousand crores Son.

Like shining marble stone, have bright thejas of parabrahma

Yogies  shine in  throne(dsvarajya samrajya)(self empire).

 

35)Till mirror becomes clear it is  washed(cleaned)

Similarly till brahma svarupa(form) is got  yogis practice  by Virahi(dispassion)

If he walks in wrong path he will not become yogi

They are equal to  dirt mass(thippe).

 

26) Without knowing himself(oneself)  by himself ,mixing many facts ,

Dancing in vikarsa(ugliness) of fascination darkness.

I will tell one example, hands feet face are like human

But he is not man monkey.

 

37)  In ornaments and clothes  telling karanikaship(forecasting,future)

Telling summary of thathva in siple way, with development in hands and body

In hands and body garlands,rudrakshies,wearing kavde(dice)  and saffron dress

Makes stunt(drama).

 

 

38)appeleying  bhasma,shivakshara necklace(chain),rolling books and paduka(holy foot wear)

 And danda (stick) kamandala in shiva’s dress

 Listen this side ego(ahamkara) bad character, without knowing summary of knowledge

Rsavana was wearing this dress while carrying  Seethe.

 

39) with bad character telling yogi by himself,making yoga practice cheap

Without seing happiness

I will tell one example  to broomstick ,which bends and cleans yard(angala)

  like applying  sandal  decorating  it.

 

40) to such dhanbika(dogmatic?.......) does not know thathva

He tells thathvas with ego(aham),will be indress of yogi like a thief.

He knows himself as jnani,like dog wearing kasthuri thilaka,

Like keeping it’s tongue in hell ,he is athma cheater.

 

41)if  one is this kind of yogi,he will get spoiled by  bad pth 

you taught to accept family only .

listen  among  spiritual and loukika if one path is not

 selected birth is wate.

 

42) To a child who eats soil , by giving fruit   make to leave soil

Leaving ignoence that you are jivathma(indivisual self) illusion

By knowing who you are, hold guru’s joy path.

Later you only will become guru.

 

43) listen guru’s path , will tell,dn’t remember family

Even in dream.

You are supreme sukrithi  is it suitable to you  sins well family

It is hell.hold sadguru path

 

44) Son listen I will tell guru’s path  extraordinary joy,

Holding giving liberation path , eat punya self guruvara.

By doing continuous worship, should follow his order

With freeness you should not cross his order.

 

45) Now only I will tell  listen,child with much  mind health

Maintain complete good luck( soubhagya) feature

He is sarvathmaka  and kindful to show that

By getting hand leg eye  got down to earth.

 

46)this eternal satisfied is  without body parts  he is eternal bliss(joy)  witness

 Complete  total joy supreme self(god) parabrahma.

 To protect earth people  has many awards  kindful himself

Appears in human form  guruvara.

 

47) Guru is akhanda(partless), guru mis impossible,he is non piercible

 Guru is achodya  guru invisible(unseen) guru is beginingless(anadi)

Guru  eternal and noneternal thing, guru is sacchidananda chinmaya,

Guru is supreme statue he is saguna form also.

 

48) Onm guru telling like this  shanmuka quickly joined hands  with fear

 Why did guru vachana come, what is gru.

Inform  guru word is supreme, name(nama)mis supremely highj

Name(nama) is supremely high

There is no equal to guru in three worlds.

 

49) ‘Gu’ means  ignoorence,dark, ‘ru’ means it’s removal

Without maya  abd fascination  self light.

This is speciality of word guru,if enquired

There is no word equal to guru-this is right decision.

 

50) To Athma(self) there are many names,among many this name is high|

On knowing properly it is true only

If remembered guru guru now and then,he will get eternal liberation

Great guru  is brahma only.

 

51) If liberation is needed –with interest  guru’s lotus feet,

Having devotion, becoming eligible for jnana

As interested in service,dispassioned(disinterested)  in  all matters

He will become liberated .this is openion of  shruthies.

 

52) Having guru’s feet,if daily guru is served

Eating guru prasadam drinking water of guru’s feet (wash)

Meditating guru,worshiping guru,by praising ,singing guru

 Remembering  guru   itself is good path(sathpatha).

 

53)Guru ‘s statue is  meditation to  me,guru’s sentence is  manthra to me

Guru’s lotus vfeet are sourceworship.

 To me guru’feet grace,guru is jivanmukthi(liberation while living)

 Child you know this jivanmukthi path.

 

54) Always guru’s meditation, daily feet  holy water,

Daily to me ucchista (remains of food) meals.

Daily if time is passed like this, he will become sarvathmaka

  he is  eternal liberated .this is siddhantha matha.

 

55)On taking thirtha of guru’s feet, forcefully ignorance is burnt

Rotating bhava bhavas will become  removed(eradicated)

 Knowledge and  devotion will fill up,severe dispassion,

He will get siddhi(accomplishment).

 

56) All rivers are in feet water,all are residing here,on knowing

All rivers added will not  be  equal to  feet’s bindu (point).

These are not equal to bindu, All thirtha’s are useless

This is evidence of all shruthies .

 

57) guru ’s  place is kashikshethra, guru himself is direct Eshwara

 Guru’s feet water is  Jahnavi feet are Gaya

Guru’s prasanga( friendship) is  prayaga, Guru’s sentence is tharaka (high)

There is no  greater thirtha and god.

 

58) Body should be dedicated to him,mind should br dedicated to him, Money should be dedicated to him,to him all should be dedicated.

Without hesitation in mind,if all is dedicated.

 Solid great path he will get.

 

59) Shyness should be left, one should be shyless always

Near guru there should not be shyness.

Shyness id wicked to them, from shyness pride comes

Leaving shyness one should keep Bhasma(sacred ash).

 

60) Guru should be done namaskarams three times a day, then pradakshine

 Then bysastanga(eight parts)  pranams, then danda namaskara

Standing at distance from guru,should join hands.

Listen true jnana path rules.

 

61) What ever guru tells,listening them  as intellectual advice,

Without telling anything should follow it.

 If any guru’s blame is heard,if heard  with ears

Hell till  sun and moon exist.

 

62)one should clean yard of guru  by onrself,rangoli should be put

all managala  mata  should be moped willfully

sounding thalas  should dance with   loss of control(paravasha).

Guru’s intention should be known.

 

63)In mind there should be ethics,in front should not talk

 Should be in ethical path, should not be close and free

One should keep away  thirst and hunger in hurry,by all means

 Should have left company of  sinners.

 

64) hand body should be pressed, should be around(near) him

One should follow him where ever wanders

 guru’s keerthana shoul be sung, in mouthshould make to eat,

this type  listen son.

 

65) should be blowing air(fanning) ,in purity more water should be poured

Soil in arm thigh ,crevices in body Should be wiped.

Legs should be washed, should be made to wear  dukula

In vast intellect,one should be there.

 

66)sandal should be sprinkled,arathi should lifted  in neck

Big flower  garlands  should be kept with hands.

Three petaled bilva leaf,  should be  chosen   should be made to wear

Enquiry should be like this, in order to get guru’s grace.

 

67)Sandal should be sprinkled(applied), arathi should be lifted in neck

Giant flower garlands should be kept  by touching hands

 Three petalled(leafed) bilva leaf should be choosed and made to weared

Enquiry should be there to one who wants guru’s grace

 

68) Akshathas shoul be kept, thilakshathe should be rised in front Edibles(Bhakshya)  paramanna  should be done naivedya

Lackh (attention) wicks should be enlighted, should observe and see

He should be like this  to get liberation.

 Summary: these four kinds of service should be done. First is  anga(body parts) service, second is close service, third is sthana service(in place,ashrama),fourth is sadbhava(good feel) service. In the poems from 65to 68 anga (body parts) service is described.

 

69)  betel leaves should be folded,good dhupa(injcent) should be burnt

 Good fragrance materials should be put

 Good thathvas(principles)  words  should be heard by heart

 Should be like stone by leaving fascination and illusion.

 

70) guru is shiva,shiva is guru,sure,

no difference between guru and shiva

 guru and shiva are one,seing like this in mind

guru is hari vidhi rudra,guru is direct(sakshath) brahma

conmtineous meditation should be done.

 

(samsthana itself is sthana).

 

71) shiva is equal to guru, if you can’t say  like that

 Guru is greater than shiva,like this should b felt in mind.

 Shiva hari brahma excetras  worshiping toe of guru

They themselves become guru form(svarupa)

 

72) sthuthui(wthothra,praise) of  guru should b done, with extraordinary bliss(joy)

 He is lord of fate(gathi), will he give liberation like this,

 Purna(complete) always very  nirala  like this

 With extraordinary happiness ,sthuthi(praise) should bedone.

 

73) eternal (nithya) nirala, eternal thing, true

As  eternal, beyond nigamas(shruthies) Like this

 Eternal(nithya),sakshath brahma only,you are eternal witness,

Always guru’s sthuthi should be done like this.

 

74) he is nirbikara(changeless),he is nirvikalpa (changeless)

 Burner of sins, Sin forest fire,

Cause of all,sarvathomukha(present everywhere)

Like this always  guru’s sthuthi (praise) should be done.

 

75) he is various frm he is various names

 Many leelas various sounds he is

Many feet,many janu various janghe (thigh)

in many kinds  guru sthuthi should be done.

 

76) you do brahmopopadesha to me, to guru who is parabrahma himself

By guru’s brahmopadesha you yourself will becme guru,

Truly what is brahma  on asking shanmukha parashiva who is brahma told

Is brahma one or two tell.

 

77) Shiva told to Guha ,son bragmopadesha is one

It is both nirguna(Attributeless) and saguna(attributed)

Know it is only one,it is  solid blessings mere

Like sun  he enlightens as witness

 

78) on shiva telling like this, Shanmukha ,doing namaskarams to shiva told

To me describe brahmopadesha saguna nirguna

What guru tells by himself is brahmopadesha(teachings)

First this is saguna,to forget this is nirguna brahmopadesha.

 

79) guru who has become saguna brahma,son to nirguna pure brahma,

If described  there is only union(Aikya) no difference

Vedas have told like this listen, Intellect,  totell

 Non difference is brahmavidya..this is experience of all rushies.

 

80) sruthies btell guru is saguna, brahma is nirguna,

By extrardinsy teachings of guru  brhma is got,these words are true.

 Son know saguna guru is athma, jiggery and taste of jiggery is one only

Extraordinary nirguna has become Saguna.

 

81)one who knows he is saguna guru in him world god and their innumerable stages appear and disappear.

 

82-87) meditation of guru itself is meditation   of all gods..like this it is told in poems 82 to 87. Guru is saguna(attributed) form. If this saguna form is known it is possible to know nirguna(attributeless,) thathva(principle). If inner meaning of nirguna thathva is known  he himself becomes nirguna form. In one who knows this secret, sign(kuruhu) hides  and mere  ntellect form (conscious form)  light starts enlighting by itself. To become nirguna itself is nirguna brahma.  This is norvikalpa Samadhi( trance)  this is  easy way of getting nirguna brahma through saguna brahma. Both saguna and nirguna are one and same. This is brahmopadesha.

 

88)  this is nirvikalpa Samadhi(trance), this is nirguna brahmopadesha.

This only is getting nirguna from Saguna,

Both saguna and nirguna are one and same

this itself is brahmopadesha.

 

89) guha listen  disciple told to  sadguru with humbleness

 Don’t bring me to earth, this life itself is enough.

By sukritha(good work) of many births, very kindful you have been got,

Seed of birth  sadguru  namo.

 

90) guru your form is nirguna, supreme(parama) eternal(niythya), pure,buddha

(conscious form),

if vthis is known liberated. Support all powers, omniscient(sarvajna).

 Wearing human form,have come to protect me

Like this  forgets and enjoys  in front of Sadguru.

 

91) ones own wife children his house wealth,life

His body with mind dedicate to guru’s feet.

 Now I will request guru, should protect me from bhava(this world,iha)

To make me to cross  I do namaskarams.

 

92) I don’t know my form(svarupa), Who I am

 I am bhava bhava(this world)

Myself drowning floating in sea

Later also I took rebirth,Myself without knowing one who can make to cross, I have surrendered to your feet

 

93) ue to my luck  I had got your feet,

Knowing you only as omniscient paramathma(god).

 Making me to cross this ocean s will stand in your true form

 Don’t do it again I request you

 

94) I request you everyday, talks with humbleness 

I joined in your feet ogf gutru

on seing my play that guru, will see and enjoy in himself

decided  that he is fit for teachings(advice) in himself.

 

95) while he is serving in this way, that parama(supreme) guru

Jnana should be enlighted in his heart he thought

 Come become supreme  making him to sit on his right side,keeping hand on head,

 What to tell thatkind  will tell in ear with grace.

 

96)on his right side ony, making him to sit by side

Let jnana light enlighten(become amritha)  keeping right hand on head.

  My Desciple is my form(svarupa), telling like this,

And I am disciple form  telling like this blesses with grace.

 

97) You are brahma nly, telling I am brahma only

I am brahma present in myself.

You are paramahamsa, tell I am brahma god only

You decide yourself as brahma and feel.

 

98) charm present in sun moon, both are my form, know

 Appearing this world is my brightness,mirage (marichike)you know

 One I am nondual(advaya)  conscious form  knowledge bliss(joy)

Know you are  truth and paripurna(complete),know.

 

99) tou are witness  to witness, you sare witness for protection bof senses,

You are not doer or enjoyer

 You are akshi(eye) form only,you only are

Efficient forall, I am all know this.

 

100) you are pranaless intellectless  mindless  you are ,to mprana you are prana thathva

You are pek of all thathva shreni(grade),away from son wife

 Appears in you   like serpent shining in rope,

 What appears is jiva shiva illusion,know this.

 

101)by saguna sadguru brahma only,,son nirguna brama vidya

Innumerable  brahma upadesha will be got.

 Various  advices are vachya,fine jnana ananda feature,

Innumerable  and uncomparable one’s form only taught.

 

102)you only are sacchidananda,nischalathmaka you are decision,

You are wonder,without to you no other brahma

Surely you are saguna brahma, you only are sadguru

Like this sadguru told in various ways.

 

103) Like this tells  mula manthra(source manthra)

Tells  tharaka (high)  sankhya brahmopadesha.

Those who know they only know,guru knows,disciple knows

What common people arounf know.

 

104) sowd advice(upadesha) in ear, with much happiness(bliss) on drowning of mind(chittha)  guru in joy flood.

On sowing manthra  he did namaskarams to guru’s feet

Lifted  up and embraced  hey shanmukha listen

 

105) His mind wishes fulfilled, his all doubts were cleared

 His many births dirts  were removed.

 His births and deaths completed, his mind became joyful

Forgot bheda(differences)  within  minute guha listen.

 

106) Lster guru told to him like this, the secret which I told you with love

In river bank, vrindavana, in forest(garden) place.

Under  ashwath (peepal)  tree,in house,in mountains cave

Do strong penance ,you will attain siddhi(accomplishment)

 

107) When ninsect toiuches bee it will become bee

Amama! Having guru one becomes guru onlysee

Will diverted intellects know this,studying thathvas themselves by themselves.

Will get spoiled due to illusions in ego(ahankara) form.

 

108) Being not able to do  guru service, without getting guru’s grace

 Why guru nis telling if thathva is known  it is enough(finished)

Few feel  themselves as guru,,by doing mere argument

Will roll to hell and go  sinners along with their people.

 

109)  To all works guru’s grace, to all manthras guru grace

To sarvasiddhi guru grace  to all yogas

For all knowledge guru’s grace, for all guru’s grace

 For maintainance, for true liberation sasguru grace.

 

1110) what ever is read it is fruitless(useless),what ever is geard it is fruitless

Whsat ever is known it is useless

What ever is done it is fruitless, one by having guru by serving

If jnana(knowledge) grace is got,there will be liberation.

 

111) like this worship me, like this all will be  accomplishes(siddhi)

Darkness of mind will go off

You will become joy(bliss,happy) form , feel me as guru only

To eshwara  bent  head with laugh shanmukha

 

112)to one who tells debatury of wife to others,

To one who tells house dispute to  outsiders

Who tells children born to him ,have born to jaada

  To bhandasshyless,stubborn) ( don’t do this thathvopadesha

(thathva trachings).

 

113)  In this way to karthikeya, he parashiva form told

 In lamp enlightens  in middle of heart sky

 Bhapu  guru,by your grace my sins hided
