bhagavadgeetha saara sangraha part 3 translated by dr raveendra hosadurga.





 

 

 

 

 

Translation of srimad  bhagavadgitha ,writen by swami adidevananda,published by president,sri ramakrishna  ashrama ,yadavagiri,mysuru-20.translated by dr.raveendra hosadurga,fifteenth edition2016.(chapters 13 to 18)

 

Bhagavadgeetha part 3:

Chapter 13.kshethra kshethrajna yoga:

1)hey arjuna,this body is called kshethra.one who knows that is called ‘kshethrajna.’  This  Is told by known people.

 

2)hey arjuna,know  that I am kshethrajna who is in all fields(kshethras)this knowledge of kshethra –kshethrajna  itself is knowledge. This is my openion.

 

3)which is that kshethra ?and what kind it has?which change(vukara) it has? By which which happens?and who is he?what nature he has?hear all those from me briefly.

 

4)(kshethra-kshethrajna forms forms) rushies have sung in many ways.various meters(chandassus) have  have sung  differently.added with hethu(reasons)  and firm form brahmasuthras  have told.

 

5+6)five great elements(pancha maha bhuthas) ego(ahankara),intellect,avyaktha(unmanifest),,ten senses, and mind,five sense objects,desire,hatred bliss(joy),sorrow,sanghatha(…………….?), chethana(spirit) dhrithi(firmness)-this is kshethra.this which is associated with change(vikara)is told by me.

 

7)amanithva,adambhithva,non violence, kshanthi,aarjava,,acharya upasana(worship),,cleanliness boldness self control-

 

8)dejection (disinterest) with respect to sense objects,egolessness,,birth death old age disease sorrow-to see defects in these-

 

9)in wife house childern excetra,  no interest and indulgence thanmayathe………………….?),equal mindedness  forever when likes and dislikes  are got-

 

10)and in me with ananya yoga(uninequeness) avyabhichaari(undebatured) devotion,iving in peopleless place,,no love in mass of people-

 

11)sincirity in adhyathmiic knowledge,thoughts of meaning thathvajnana(philosophy)-these are told as jnana-one which is different from this  that is ignorance.

 

12)which is jneya,by knowing which  man gets amruthathva,,I will tell that.that is anadi(beginingless) parabrahma.that is not sath asath.

 

13)it has got hand and legs everywhere,has eyes  head mouths everywhere,has ears everywherewill be covering all in world.

 

14) that  jneya(to be known) in enlighting from all  character of senses.no all indrialess (sarvendriya  rahitha),uninterested, to all  aaspada(residence,chance,place…………..?),gunaless and enjoyer of gunas(thrigunas).

 

15)it is in and out of all animals.it is mooving and non mooving form,as it is very delicate it is difficult to understand.it is at distance .it is near also.

 

16)it is without any divisions,,in animals seems to be divided,.that jneya(to be known) is maintainer of all animals,killer,creater.s

 

17)that is light of lights.beyong thamas(dark) it has been told.that is knowledge’ to be known(jneya),can be entered by knowledge(jnanagamya) and resides in all’s hearts.

 

18)like this kshethra jnana,and jneya-these have been told in brief.my devotee knowingthis will be able to posses my feel.

 

 

19)know that prakruthi and purusha are  beginingless. Changes and gunas(charecterstics) are born by  nature.know this.

 

20)nature is cause of production of  body and senses. it is cause of experience of  joys and sorrows it is said.

 

21) purusha existing in prakruthi(nature) is experiencing  charecters taken birth from nature.to be born in good and bad wombs interest in gunas are cause.

 

22)the god(paramathma)in this body is witness.permiter(sanctioner,granter)

Is called husband(lord),enjoyer,maheshwara(great lord),and god(paramathma).

 

23)one who understands purusha with nature  along with gunas(charecters),will not take birth again however he may be.

 

24)few people see  athma in pure intellect  through meditation.again few by yoga(path of knowledge) and others by karmayoga.

 

25)some few without understanding athma like this,meditate(worship),by hearing from others.such shruthi hearers (shruthi parayana)also pass over death shortly.

 

26)hey arjuna,a thing produced in non mooving and mooving formthat is produced by union of kshethra and  kshethrajna.

 

27)equal in all animals ,non destructable  in temporary things,who sees  that paramathma (god) he will only see.

 

28)one who sees eshwara   equal n all places(everywhere)won’t destroy himself by himself.by this rason  he will get  supreme position.

 

29)by all means(kinds)  only prakruthi  itself will do  all karmas ,he himself is non-doer,who sees like this will  only see.

 

30)pruthakbhava of  of animals exists in one athma only  and by that onlyall these have expanded..one who sees like thisthen he will attain  brahma.

 

31)hey arjuna as it is beginingless,attributeless,this irreducible (avyaya)   this paramathma(god)  though present in body will not do any karma ,is not attached

(mirliptha)

 

32) how omnipresent  sky is delicate will not get attached in same way athma in all bodies is not attached.

 

33)hey arjuna,just like one sun enlighting whole world  in the same way kshethrajna enlightens all kshethras.

 

34)like this is differentiation of kshethra and kshethrajna and also  understands liberation of   animals(bhuthas) nature by eyes of  knowledge thus will attain brahma.

 

Chapter 13 kshethra kshethrajna yoga is completed

Chapter 14 gunathraya vibhaga yoga:

Sri krishna told:

1)by knowing which  all rushies(saints,sages) attained paramasiddhi(supreme achievement),among such knowledge I will reveal better and higher knowledge.

 

2)depending on this knowledge and who have same religion as  me(saadharmya) will not be born at creation time.won’t be disturbed(sorrowful)   at the time of  total destruction(pralaya).

 

3)hey arjuna,great prakruthi itself is  my yoni(vagina,womb).in that I place garbha(pregnancy)..by that all  animals are produced.

 

4)hey arjuna,which bodies are  are taking birth ,to them great (mahath)  nature  vagina.i am father who give seed.

 

5)hey mahabaho(great armed)  sathva rajas thamas  are three gunas  born by nature.they bind irreducible (avyaya) athma  in body.

 

6)hey sinless,,among them sathva is clean,therefore bright  anamaya(defectless,diseaseless).it binds athma in joyful relation and by knowledge relation.(jnana)

 

7) hey arjuna,thamo guna(character)  takes birth by ignorance(ajnana)  fascination in all animals.it binds athma  by mistake(pramada) ,laziness,and sleep.

 

8)hey arjuna,rajo guna is desireful.it makes thirst and relations it binds athma  by bondage of relation of karma.

 

9)hey arjuna,sathva guna produces  relation(friendship). With joy.rajo guna with karma..thamas guna covering knowledge(jnana) makes relation with mistakes.

 

10)hey arjuna,rejecting rajas and thamas sathva becomes  dominent..in the same way ,refusing sathva and rajas thamo guna  becomes dominent.

 

11)when in all sensory openings of body ,light of jnana (knowledge) is produced then we have to know that sathva guna has developed.

 

12)hey bharatha supreme,when rajo guna develops desire ,instincts(pravrutthi) karmas begin peacelessness  (ashama) and  attachment(soruha,desire)  are produced.

 

13)hey kurunandana when thamo guna develops,brightlessness,non instinct,mistakes, and fascination  these are produced.

 

14)when sathva guna develops  if body  wearer gets destroyed(dies)  then he will  will be born  among  better jnanies clean (dirtless) peoples.

 

15)when ajo guna develops, (body wearer) if gets destroyed  will be born among  people of  work interesteds(karma asakthi).when thamo guna develops ,one who is destroyed(dead) will be born in animal wombs.

 

16)for sathvika karma  clean sathvika results(fruits).fruit of rajas is  sorrow .result of thamas is ingnorance.

 

17)by sathva guna jnana (knowledge) is produced.by rajo guna  sdesire happens. By thamas mistake fascination ignorence is produced.

 

18)those people who are  in sathva guna  go above.rajoguna people stand in middle. From thamo guna  goes below.

 

19) when seer  does not see another doer  than gunas and when knows another   (opposite)other than gunas then he will have  my feel(bhava).

 

20)body wearer,going beyond three gunaswhich are cause of body production,being left from both,death old age sorrows,will attain amruthathva.

 

 

21) Arjuna told:

hey lord,one who has crossed beyond these three gunasis charecterised by which signs?what is his behavior?and how he overcrosses  these three gunas?

 

Sri krishna told:

22) hey arjuna,one who does not hate  even if brightness,instinct,fascinations comes,does not want even if  goes.

 

23)who being not disturbed by gunas and in negligence’gunas play or behave.’,thigks like  thisand does not moov.

 

23)who is not disturbed by gunasand is negligent,who knows ‘gunas play or behave’who knows this ,without mooving-

 

24who is equal in joys and sorrowshealthy,who sees stone, soil and gold equally

Whi is equal in likes and dislikes,valient,,who is equal in appreciation and blame-

 

25)who has equal mind in honour and dishonour,who is equal minded in  friend’s and enemy’s parties,who has left all karmas,he is called gunatheetha.

 

26)onwe who serves me with loneliness devotion yoga(bhakthi yoga),he going beyond these gunas(crossing) ,will be able to attain brahma bhaava(feel.).

 

27)because  I am supportive  to avyaya(irreducible)  amrutha (deathless) brahma,for loneliness joy.

 

Chapter 14 ‘gunathraya yoga ‘completed.

Chapter 15  purushotthama yoga:

 

sri krishna told:

1)base (root ) above,branches below ashvath tree is indestructable (avyaya) as scriptures tell.it’s leaves are meters(chandassus).who knows them he knows vedas. 

 

2)grown up by gunas(charecters),having buds of sense objects,,it’s branches have spread above and below.in human world karma related  roots  have spread below.

 

3+4)in this family it’s form    is not according to above siad fact.it has no beginning middle end.well rooted this ashvath tree  cuting by   firm  weapon of  asanga(friendlessness,detachment),later  by joining which will not return that post should be searched. By whom  this ancient family has arised I will surender to that  worshipable purusha only.

 

5)one  who has no ego and fascination,who have won defect called ‘interest’,eternal adhyathmies ,have left all kamas,left by duals(dvandvas) of joy sorrow,those intellectswill attain that irreducible(undestructive,avyaya)  post.

 

6)sun won’t enlighten it.,not moon or fire will enlighten.,by possessing which will not return  that itself is my high position.

 

7)ancient my fraction  only in family as jiva attracts mind and sense organs  whigh are in prakruthi.

 

8)when jiva attains body and when leaves and goes then-air carrying  fragrances away from their place- carries away senses.

 

9)this jiva  enjoys sense  objects depending upon eye,skin,tongue,nose  and mind-.

10)while leaving body,,while staying in body onlyor while enjoying sense objects  or when joined with gunas this jiva can’t be seen by dullards,jnanies see.

 

11)yogies who are trying,see that  this athma is existing in  them.those who have not done what is to be done(not yet attained,)avivakies(inability to decide good and bad ,right and wrong) even though they try can’t see.

 

12)the brightness which includes sun is enlighting whole world.which light(thejas,brightness)  is in moonwhich thejas(brightness) is in fire,know that thejas(bright) is  mine.

 

13)myself entering earth wearing animals by ojas.as main rasa form moon support all vanaspathies(plants).

 

14)i depending upon (stomach fire) of all animals ,with prana and apaana  make to  digest four kinds of foods(anna,rice)

 

15) I am in-dweller(antharyami),in everybody’s  heart.mempry(smruthi).knowledge ,their removal(retirement) happen by me only. I am to be known by all vedas.one who have done vedantha ,vedas knower is myself only.

 

16)in this world two persuns(purushas) are famous.kshara means all animals..akshara is kutastha(firm,non mooving)

 

17)but  peculear than  kshara and akshara  purushotthama is told  god(paramathma). This avyaya(irreducible,destructionless) eshwara entering three worlds is wearing.

 

18)i am beyond kshara ,better than akshara.(beyond both kshara and akshara).therefore in  world and vedas  I am famous as purushotthama.

 

19) hey arjuna,who without becoming dullard understands me as purushotthama that omniscient  worships me with all feels(sarva bhaava).

 

20)hey sinless  arjuna ,like this is very secret thas scripture(shaastra) is told by me. Knowing this   man becomes  intelligent and kruthakruthya(what is to be done is done).

Chapter no 15   purushotthama yoga  completed.

Chapter 16)daivasura sampadvibhaga yoga:

1 to 3)hey arjuna,fearlessness,purity of inner mind jnanayoga  arrangement(vyavasthithi………?),,donation,dama(control of mind),yajna(sacrifice),study of   vedas(vedadhyayana),penance(thapassu),simplicity,,non violence,truth,angerlessness,rebunciation (thyaga),peace,not to tell false allegation(chaadi),,kindness in animals,non desire for sense objects,,soft nature,,shyness,lack    of  fickleness,thejas(brightness),excuse,boldness,cleabliness,non traiting,lack of ego –these charecters  are prouced in divine characters.  (divine treasures).

 

4)hey arjuna,over pride,dominance,ego,anger,harsh speech and   ignorence and ignorance these charecters are produced in  those who are born for demon(asuri)  treasure.

 

5)divine treasure is for liberation ,demon treasure is for bondage it is my openion.hey arjuna ,don’t be sorrowful.you are born for  divine treasure only.

 

6)hey arjuna,in this world  there are two types of  humam creations.divine creation  has been explained in detail.now demon(asura,non divine)  will be told by me.

 

7)demon(asuri)  nautred  people  don’t know  instinct(hobby)  or retirement.in them there is no cleanliness(shoucha),no bahavior,no truth.

 

8)this world is false,not established(non existant),eshwaraless,,produced by union of female and male;what more?lust only is cause of creation –they tell like this.

 

9) depending upon this openion loss self(nastathma) ,less intellects,,cruel workers(krura karmies) world enemies are ,this demon natured  people are cause of  world destruction.

 

10)depending on unsatisfiable lust joined with overpride,honour ,show by fascination  holding bad  decisions behave uncleanly.(ashuchi).

 

11+12)depending upon worry which  can’t be  known  (immeasureble) destructive(pralayaanthaka),as enjoyers of lust,having decided this much only,

,being bound by hundreds of ropes of desires,being  followers of lust and anger,for enjoyment of kama(desires lust) try to  accumulate   unjustified money.

 

13)today this was got by me.i will get thay desire of mind. This money I have.i will get this money also.

 

14)this enemy has been killed by me.i will kill other enemies also.i am eshwara ,enjoyer,,siddha, strong, and happy person.

 

15+16)I am rich in money  and born in good family.who is equal to me.i will perform sacrifice.(yajna).i will donate. I will enjoy-thinking like this being fascinated by ignorance,,being illused by many  many worries,being covered by  fascination net,interested in lust,(desire,kama)enjoyment fall in unclean hell.

 

17)self gentlemen,,firm(stagnant) added with money ,honour ,pride,without folloing rules,for name sake only they will perform sacrifices(yajnas).

 

18)ego (aham),strength,dominance, lust(kama)and anger-depending on these hate me  who is in  in their own and other’s   bodies. Will be jealousy.

 

19)like this people who hate me that cruel ,sin doers,,lower people I will put in asuri(demon.non divine) womb.(vagina, uterus)

 

20)hey arjuna fools(dullards) who have non divine birthin every birth,without getting me will have  still lower  status(fate).

 

21)these three hell doors kama(lust),anger,and desire are  cause of self destruction.therefore they  should be left.

 

22)hey arjuna ,man left by these  three thamas doors  will make his development..by that he will get supreme post.

 

23)who leaving rulesof vedalives freely,he will not get purushartha fitness(eligibility).will not get happiness,,no supreme state.

 

24)therefore,in deciding work and non work(good and bad work)scriptures are only evidence.learning what is told in scriptures  rulesyou will become eligible to  do karmas  here.

 

Chapter 16  divine(god) –demon(dyvaasura) treasure  division yoga commpleted

Chapter 17 shraddha thraya   vibhaga   yoga.(  three shraddhas  division yoga):

 

Arjuna told:

1)hey  krishna,who leaving scriptural rules,worship( gods)what is their sincirity(shraddha).sathvika or rajasikaor thamasika?

 

 sri krishna told

2)born by  predisposition (samskara)ofprevious life of persons(bodied)  that shraddha is divided  into three kinds.saathvika raajasa thamasa.

 

3)hey arjuna,everybody’s shraddha(interest,sincirity) according to their   inner mind(anthahkarana).this purusha is shraddhamaya(one who has sincirity). One who has which sincirity he will be according to  that shraddha(sincirity,interest).

 

4)sathvikas worship gods..rajasikas worship yakshas and demons..other thamasika people worship prethas abnd bhuthas(ghosts devils) groups.

 

5+6)which people added with pride(show off) egos   added with lust raga(love)strengths  as avivekies(inability to decide what is right and wrong)Will be disturbing  me and also sensory groups  in the body.and those who are doing severe penance out of scriptural rules know such people are of asuri(demon,non divine) intellect.

 

7)food is also of three kinds according to differentiation of  sathva raja thama.

Like that yajna(sacrifice),penance ,donation,-these are  of three kinds.listen to their these differences.

 

8)longevity,sathva(goodness), strength,health,joy love-increasing these  rasa food(rasaful)smooth,firm,heart loving foods are lovable to  saathvikas.

 

9)very bitter sour saltish  hot,severe,dried ,thirst makingsorrow grief producingfoods are desirable to  rajasa person.

 

10)little matured,rasaless(tasteless), odourful(foul smelling) ,rotten,,left,unfit for yajna,,such food is desirable to  thamasika(thamasful) persons.

 

11)’one who does not desire for fruit(rsult)fixing mind to do yajna ‘yajna should be done’ which scripture  accepted jajna that is saathvika

 

12) but hey arjuna,with expectation of result , yajna which is done for show off(damba) that is rajasa ,understand.

 

13)scripture   rulesless ,without fooddonationmanthraless,dakshinsless,,interestless,sincirityless, that yajna is told thamasa.

 

14)gods brahmana s gurus jnanies worship cleanliness,aarjava(…………….?),celibacy(brahmacharya) ,non violance are  called body penance.

 

15)motionless true lovable favourable  sentences and study of self branch  are called  verbal(speech) penance.

 

16)pleasantness of mind, soft feel silence mind control, purity of feel –these are –these are called mental penance.

 

17)without expectetion of results, peaceful people practiced by supeme sincirity tht three kinds of penance  are called sathvika penance.

 

18)penance which is done for show off ,for sake of homours,,hospitality,worship,,mooving and temporal(anithya) here is called  rajasa.

 

19) disturbing to oneself  by dull intellect(foolishness),penance which is done for others destruction is ,that is called thamasa.

 

20)donation which is given for the sake of donationwhich is given to person being unable to rehelp (in return)n place ,time,and fitness (siutability) such donation is called ‘sathvika’.

 

21)but the donation which is done  with expectation of  with expectation of help in relation with  sorrow(klesha) that donation is rajasa.

 

22)which donation  given in that placw=e and time to unfit people without hospitality(honour) with negligence,this is called thamasa.

 

23)”om thath sath” three kinds of names have been told to brahma through it previously brahmins,yajnas ,vedas have become fit.

 

24) therefore brahmavadies (brahma arguers)   reciting ‘om’start  as  acceptable to scriptures(shasthras),yajna (sacrifice) karmas, penance  and donation works.

 

25)moksha (liberation)   desirers    telling ‘thath’ without  epecting returns jajna activities,,penance processes  and donation activities.

 

26) hey arjuna ,in good feel(sadbhaava),,in saadhu bhava  (feel) also’  this sath is used. In similar way in good(welfare)  karmas  also word’sath’ is used.’

 

27)in yajna(sacrifice)  donation,penance,what existence  is present it is called ‘sath’ and the work done for that  also is called’sath’.

 

28)hey partha,sacrifice(homa)  done without interest(sincirity) ,donation,penance,and karmas(works) all these are called ‘asath’.even after death also  it is not cause offruits(results).here also it is not cause of happiness.

 

Chapter  17 shraddha thraya vibhaga yoga completed.

Chapter 18,moksha sanyasa yoga.:

 

Arjuna told:

1)Hey great armed,hrushikesha ,keshinishudana,   I desire  to know principles (thathva) of  sanyasa and   renunciation seperately.

 

Sri   krishna told

2) some scholars  know sanyasa as  rnunciation of kaamya karmas.(desiring karmas).other few jnanies tell renunciation of  fruits of all karmas as renunciation

 

3)as karmas are defectful    should be left  and again few tell  yajna, donation, penance,karmas  are not to be left.

 

4)hey bharaha shresta,hear my decision regarding renunciation.hey purusha lion renunciation is of three kinds.is told in scriptures.

 

5)yajna ,donation penance these  karmas are not to be left..should be done.yajna,donation,and penance are holy to manieshies(munies)

 

6)but hey partha, and leaving interest  and these karmas  should be done.this is my  decided better openion.

 

7)but renunciaton of daily karmas is not proper.if you renunciate then by fascination is called is called thamasika.

 

8)who by fear of strain of body ,renunciating  karma ,thinking  them as sorrowful  only.he is doing rajasika renunciation will not have fruit of  genunciation.

 

9)hey arjuna,which daily karma  is doneis done thinking as duty leaving interest and fruits(results) such renunciation is sathvika..this is my openion.

 

10)intellect(medhavi),doubtless,sathvika renunciater does not hate interested karmas(kaamyakarmas).will not get interest in daily karmas.

 

11) because by body wearer it is not possible to leave karmas completely.who is (not interested ) in karma fruits who renunciates  ,he himself is renunciater.

 

12)bad desirable mixed these three karma results for non renunciaters ,after body death.but for saints  will never happen.

 

13)hey great armed(maha bahu), for siddhas(achieved)of all karmas five causes have been  told in vedantha.know them by me.

 

14) adhistana(base?),doer(karthru) many kinds of sense organs (karanas) and varieties of different works,among these  god(divine) is fifth.

 

15)by body,speech,mind- starts karmas which   are justified or unjustified.for that these are five causes.

 

16)when there  it is like that  who by by uncultured intellect(asamskrutha  buddhi)  knows only  athma is doer  that bad intellect won’t see.

 

17)one who does not have feeling  I am doerwhose intellect is not attached,he even if he kills   worlds,will not be killed nor binded

 

18)jnana (knowledge)  jneya(to be known),  jnathru(knower)-these are three prpmoters(pravarthaka)  ofkarma.karma  collections are of three kinds organ(karana) karma(work) doer(karthru).

 

19)jnana(knowledge) ,karma(work,rituals),doerthese three are by differentiation of sathva excetra as told in kapila scripture.listen to them  they are.

 

20)different in all bhuthas(animals) ,undivided,,irreducible(avyaya) ,single athma by which he sees   such jnana is sathvika .know this.

 

21)that knowledge(jnana)  is rajasa which understands various athmasin different forms in all animals.

 

22) but which knowledge totally  interested  in single work,causeless,which has no definite meaning,lower,that is thamasa it is said.

 

23)without   desire for it’s fruit, without hatred and love,daily done,interestless ,which karma is there  that is called sathvika.

 

24)but one who has desire of fruits(returns)and pride(egoful ),attached with very much strain,that work is rajasa.

 

25)bondage,reduction,,violence,power,without enquiery, which karma is startedwith fascination  that is told’thamasa’.

 

26)without expectationof fruit(returns) without pride of ‘myself’added with firmness and enthusiasm,unchanged by(in) siddhi and asiddhi,that doer is called sathvika.

 

27)interested ,desirer of fruits of fruits of karmas,miser,having violence nature,unclean, added with joy and sorrows,that doer is called ‘rajasika’.

 

28)one who has no balanced mind(equanimity of mind)uncultured intellect,one who does not promise to anybody,magician(mayaavi) one who destroys others profesion,unindustrial(anudyamasheela),,condolenceful,deerghasuthri(long thread holder?),that doer is called ‘thamasa’.

 

29)that knowledge is  rajasa   which understands various athmas  in different forms in all animals.

 

30) hey arjuna, pravrutthi(instinct) and retirement,good works and bad works fear non fear, bondage and liberation  which  understands ,that intellect  is sathvika.

 

31)hey arjuna,religion   and non religion(ethics and non ethics) , work and nonwork,by which one  does not  understand as they are(yathartha)that intellect  is  rajasika.

 

32)which is covered by thamas,understands adharma as dharma,,which understands  in excess all things,which are to be known that intellect is thamasa.

 

33)hey arjuna, man through yoga which unadultrated(ubdebatured,avyabhichari) firmnessmind prana and sense organsholds actions of these that firmness is sathvika

 

34) hey arjuna ,desirer of fruit(results) with very much interestby which firmness holds dharma(duty,ethics)artha(money) kama(lust)and liberation,that firmness is rajasika.

 

35)hey arjuna,wicked minded,by which firmness, won’t leave  these  sleep,fear,grief,condolence(vishada),pride-that firmness (dhrithi) is thamasika.

 

36+37)hey bharatha shresta,listen from me three kinds of joys(happinesses)

Man through long practice plays in which joy and gets sorrow reduced(abolished) which joy first  appears as poisonand like amritha at end-produced by grace of athma buddhi-that joy is sathvika  know.

 

38)by union of objects and senses which joy first amrutha like  at the end like poison   that joy is rajasika it has been told.

 

39)which joy appears  fascinating both at  beginning and end produced  bysleep laziness mistakes that joy is called  thamasa

 

40)being releived by these three gunas animal group  wheather  on earth or in  heavenly gods  not present.

 

41)hey arjuna,brahmana –kshathriya-vyshya-shudra  as their karmas are nature born by birth charecters is divided.

 

42)peace coolness,control of mind,penance,cleanliness ,arjava(………………….?)

Knowledge ,science,athiest(asthikya bhaava) feel-these are karmas of brahmana,produced by nature.

 

43)valience,praagalbhya,,firmness ,efficiency in work,not to run away in war,donation,lordship, these are kshathriyas.

 

44) agriculture ,protection of cattles,and trade(business)-these are  karmas  produced by  nature of vyshya.service form of karma is natural to shudra.

 

45)one who indulges in his own karmas will attain good siddhies. One who is engaged in his own dharma hoew he will get siddhi   listen  to them.

 

46)by whose graceanimals are produced ,by whom whole world is occupied,worshiping him by his own karmas  man will attain siddhi

 

47)other dharma which is practiced (anustana)well  ,charecterlessown dharma is higher ,doing karmas fixed by nature  man will not get sin.

 

48)hey arjuna, natural karma even if had defects,is not to be left(rejected).as fire is covered by smoke all karmas are covered by defects.

 

49) one who is not interested in all karmas,has own mind, desireless person,that person  will attain naishkarmya siddhi  by sanyasa.

 

50) hey arjuna,one who has got siddhihow he will attainbrahma which is supreme sincirity of knowledge that you understand by me.s

 

51+52+53)having pure  intellect,controling oneself by firmness ,leaving matters like shabda(word,nada,sound) excetra (rupa rasa  smell ,touch),rejecting love and hatred,living   in pepleless placewith limited food,controling body mind speech.always  in dhyana yoga(meditations),depending on  disinterest(vyragya,dejection),leaving ego(pride,aham)strength ,pride,kama(lust),anger without any affection,prideful, to possess   brahma bhaava . 

 

54)one who has attained brahma bhaava(feel),who is pleasant mindedwill not be sorrowful.won’t desire,becoming equal in all animals   will have supreme  devotion in me.

 

55)through devotion he wil know  where he is  and who he is.through that   understanding  me as it is(yathaartha) enters me then only.

 

56)though doing all karmas one who depends upon me,by my grace will attain,permanent,irreducible,(avyaya) post(position).

 

57)dedicating all  karmas by intellect,doing  my parayana)(thinking  of me only)depending on intellect yoga,let your mind be in  me only always.

 

58)having mind in me,by my grace you will cross all durgas(forts,difficulties.if you don’t listen to me by ego you will be destroyed.

 

59)depending upon egoif you think’I don’t  make war’this your decision is  false.because nature stimulates you.

 

60)hey,arjuna,being bound by karmas born by your nature what you want to do with fascinationwill  do it without control

 

61)hey arjun like mechanised dolls   turning(rotating)  all animals

Thinking all animals like will do it in heart of all lives.

 

62) hey arjuna,surender to  him only who is self of  of all.(sarvathma).by his grace  you will attain   supreme peace ,permnent place.

 

63)like this ,secret  of sectrets knowledge is told  by me to you.analysing it fully, do as you like.(decide)

 

64) most of all secrets ,listen to my supreme words again.as you are very much like to me will tell  this favour.

 

65)have mind in me only.become my devotee.worship  me only,do namaskarams to me.you will join me only.it will take true oath.because you are lovable to me.

 

66)renunciating all  dharmas  surender to me only. I will relieve you from all sins. Don’t be sorrow.

 

67)  I have told this to you.this should not be told to penanceless(thaporahitha).it should never be told to  non devotee.it should not be told to one who is jealousy about me.

 

68)one who tells this supreme this  supreme secret among my devotees ,he by doing  supreme devotion  will get me only.no doubt in this.

 

69)among men ,nobody is lovable to me Than him.on earth more lovable  person will not be born.

 

70)dharmaful(full religious) our this conversation,who  studies it he also becoming liberated ,gets good world of  good deeds.

 

71)sincere(shraddha,interest)jealousyless,which person listens to this   he also becoming liberated will attain good world of  good doers.

 

72)hey partha,did you listen to this concebtration?hey dhananjaya is your fascination is out of ignorance,destroyed.

Chapter 13.kshethra kshethrajna yoga:

1)hey arjuna,this body is called kshethra.one who knows that is called ‘kshethrajna.’  This  Is told by known people.

 

2)hey arjuna,know  that I am kshethrajna who is in all fields(kshethras)this knowledge of kshethra –kshethrajna  itself is knowledge. This is my openion.

 

3)which is that kshethra ?and what kind it has?which change(vukara) it has? By which which happens?and who is he?what nature he has?hear all those from me briefly.

 

4)(kshethra-kshethrajna forms forms) rushies have sung in many ways.various meters(chandassus) have  have sung  differently.added with hethu(reasons)  and firm form brahmasuthras  have told.

 

5+6)five great elements(pancha maha bhuthas) ego(ahankara),intellect,avyaktha(unmanifest),,ten senses, and mind,five sense objects,desire,hatred bliss(joy),sorrow,sanghatha(…………….?), chethana(spirit) dhrithi(firmness)-this is kshethra.this which is associated with change(vikara)is told by me.

 

7)amanithva,adambhithva,non violence, kshanthi,aarjava,,acharya upasana(worship),,cleanliness boldness self control-

 

8)dejection (disinterest) with respect to sense objects,egolessness,,birth death old age disease sorrow-to see defects in these-

 

9)in wife house childern excetra,  no interest and indulgence thanmayathe………………….?),equal mindedness  forever when likes and dislikes  are got-

 

10)and in me with ananya yoga(uninequeness) avyabhichaari(undebatured) devotion,iving in peopleless place,,no love in mass of people-

 

11)sincirity in adhyathmiic knowledge,thoughts of meaning thathvajnana(philosophy)-these are told as jnana-one which is different from this  that is ignorance.

 

12)which is jneya,by knowing which  man gets amruthathva,,I will tell that.that is anadi(beginingless) parabrahma.that is not sath asath.

 

13)it has got hand and legs everywhere,has eyes  head mouths everywhere,has ears everywherewill be covering all in world.

 

14) that  jneya(to be known) in enlighting from all  character of senses.no all indrialess (sarvendriya  rahitha),uninterested, to all  aaspada(residence,chance,place…………..?),gunaless and enjoyer of gunas(thrigunas).

 

15)it is in and out of all animals.it is mooving and non mooving form,as it is very delicate it is difficult to understand.it is at distance .it is near also.

 

16)it is without any divisions,,in animals seems to be divided,.that jneya(to be known) is maintainer of all animals,killer,creater.s

 

17)that is light of lights.beyong thamas(dark) it has been told.that is knowledge’ to be known(jneya),can be entered by knowledge(jnanagamya) and resides in all’s hearts.

 

18)like this kshethra jnana,and jneya-these have been told in brief.my devotee knowingthis will be able to posses my feel.

 

 

19)know that prakruthi and purusha are  beginingless. Changes and gunas(charecterstics) are born by  nature.know this.

 

20)nature is cause of production of  body and senses. it is cause of experience of  joys and sorrows it is said.

 

21) purusha existing in prakruthi(nature) is experiencing  charecters taken birth from nature.to be born in good and bad wombs interest in gunas are cause.

 

22)the god(paramathma)in this body is witness.permiter(sanctioner,granter)

Is called husband(lord),enjoyer,maheshwara(great lord),and god(paramathma).

 

23)one who understands purusha with nature  along with gunas(charecters),will not take birth again however he may be.

 

24)few people see  athma in pure intellect  through meditation.again few by yoga(path of knowledge) and others by karmayoga.

 

25)some few without understanding athma like this,meditate(worship),by hearing from others.such shruthi hearers (shruthi parayana)also pass over death shortly.

 

26)hey arjuna,a thing produced in non mooving and mooving formthat is produced by union of kshethra and  kshethrajna.

 

27)equal in all animals ,non destructable  in temporary things,who sees  that paramathma (god) he will only see.

 

28)one who sees eshwara   equal n all places(everywhere)won’t destroy himself by himself.by this rason  he will get  supreme position.

 

29)by all means(kinds)  only prakruthi  itself will do  all karmas ,he himself is non-doer,who sees like this will  only see.

 

30)pruthakbhava of  of animals exists in one athma only  and by that onlyall these have expanded..one who sees like thisthen he will attain  brahma.

 

31)hey arjuna as it is beginingless,attributeless,this irreducible (avyaya)   this paramathma(god)  though present in body will not do any karma ,is not attached

(mirliptha)

 

32) how omnipresent  sky is delicate will not get attached in same way athma in all bodies is not attached.

 

33)hey arjuna,just like one sun enlighting whole world  in the same way kshethrajna enlightens all kshethras.

 

34)like this is differentiation of kshethra and kshethrajna and also  understands liberation of   animals(bhuthas) nature by eyes of  knowledge thus will attain brahma.

 

Chapter 13 kshethra kshethrajna yoga is completed

Chapter 14 gunathraya vibhaga yoga:

Sri krishna told:

1)by knowing which  all rushies(saints,sages) attained paramasiddhi(supreme achievement),among such knowledge I will reveal better and higher knowledge.

 

2)depending on this knowledge and who have same religion as  me(saadharmya) will not be born at creation time.won’t be disturbed(sorrowful)   at the time of  total destruction(pralaya).

 

3)hey arjuna,great prakruthi itself is  my yoni(vagina,womb).in that I place garbha(pregnancy)..by that all  animals are produced.

 

4)hey arjuna,which bodies are  are taking birth ,to them great (mahath)  nature  vagina.i am father who give seed.

 

5)hey mahabaho(great armed)  sathva rajas thamas  are three gunas  born by nature.they bind irreducible (avyaya) athma  in body.

 

6)hey sinless,,among them sathva is clean,therefore bright  anamaya(defectless,diseaseless).it binds athma in joyful relation and by knowledge relation.(jnana)

 

7) hey arjuna,thamo guna(character)  takes birth by ignorance(ajnana)  fascination in all animals.it binds athma  by mistake(pramada) ,laziness,and sleep.

 

8)hey arjuna,rajo guna is desireful.it makes thirst and relations it binds athma  by bondage of relation of karma.

 

9)hey arjuna,sathva guna produces  relation(friendship). With joy.rajo guna with karma..thamas guna covering knowledge(jnana) makes relation with mistakes.

 

10)hey arjuna,rejecting rajas and thamas sathva becomes  dominent..in the same way ,refusing sathva and rajas thamo guna  becomes dominent.

 

11)when in all sensory openings of body ,light of jnana (knowledge) is produced then we have to know that sathva guna has developed.

 

12)hey bharatha supreme,when rajo guna develops desire ,instincts(pravrutthi) karmas begin peacelessness  (ashama) and  attachment(soruha,desire)  are produced.

 

13)hey kurunandana when thamo guna develops,brightlessness,non instinct,mistakes, and fascination  these are produced.

 

14)when sathva guna develops  if body  wearer gets destroyed(dies)  then he will  will be born  among  better jnanies clean (dirtless) peoples.

 

15)when ajo guna develops, (body wearer) if gets destroyed  will be born among  people of  work interesteds(karma asakthi).when thamo guna develops ,one who is destroyed(dead) will be born in animal wombs.

 

16)for sathvika karma  clean sathvika results(fruits).fruit of rajas is  sorrow .result of thamas is ingnorance.

 

17)by sathva guna jnana (knowledge) is produced.by rajo guna  sdesire happens. By thamas mistake fascination ignorence is produced.

 

18)those people who are  in sathva guna  go above.rajoguna people stand in middle. From thamo guna  goes below.

 

19) when seer  does not see another doer  than gunas and when knows another   (opposite)other than gunas then he will have  my feel(bhava).

 

20)body wearer,going beyond three gunaswhich are cause of body production,being left from both,death old age sorrows,will attain amruthathva.

 

 

21) Arjuna told:

hey lord,one who has crossed beyond these three gunasis charecterised by which signs?what is his behavior?and how he overcrosses  these three gunas?

 

Sri krishna told:

22) hey arjuna,one who does not hate  even if brightness,instinct,fascinations comes,does not want even if  goes.

 

23)who being not disturbed by gunas and in negligence’gunas play or behave.’,thigks like  thisand does not moov.

 

23)who is not disturbed by gunasand is negligent,who knows ‘gunas play or behave’who knows this ,without mooving-

 

24who is equal in joys and sorrowshealthy,who sees stone, soil and gold equally

Whi is equal in likes and dislikes,valient,,who is equal in appreciation and blame-

 

25)who has equal mind in honour and dishonour,who is equal minded in  friend’s and enemy’s parties,who has left all karmas,he is called gunatheetha.

 

26)onwe who serves me with loneliness devotion yoga(bhakthi yoga),he going beyond these gunas(crossing) ,will be able to attain brahma bhaava(feel.).

 

27)because  I am supportive  to avyaya(irreducible)  amrutha (deathless) brahma,for loneliness joy.

 

Chapter 14 ‘gunathraya yoga ‘completed.

Chapter 15  purushotthama yoga:

 

sri krishna told:

1)base (root ) above,branches below ashvath tree is indestructable (avyaya) as scriptures tell.it’s leaves are meters(chandassus).who knows them he knows vedas. 

 

2)grown up by gunas(charecters),having buds of sense objects,,it’s branches have spread above and below.in human world karma related  roots  have spread below.

 

3+4)in this family it’s form    is not according to above siad fact.it has no beginning middle end.well rooted this ashvath tree  cuting by   firm  weapon of  asanga(friendlessness,detachment),later  by joining which will not return that post should be searched. By whom  this ancient family has arised I will surender to that  worshipable purusha only.

 

5)one  who has no ego and fascination,who have won defect called ‘interest’,eternal adhyathmies ,have left all kamas,left by duals(dvandvas) of joy sorrow,those intellectswill attain that irreducible(undestructive,avyaya)  post.

 

6)sun won’t enlighten it.,not moon or fire will enlighten.,by possessing which will not return  that itself is my high position.

 

7)ancient my fraction  only in family as jiva attracts mind and sense organs  whigh are in prakruthi.

 

8)when jiva attains body and when leaves and goes then-air carrying  fragrances away from their place- carries away senses.

 

9)this jiva  enjoys sense  objects depending upon eye,skin,tongue,nose  and mind-.

10)while leaving body,,while staying in body onlyor while enjoying sense objects  or when joined with gunas this jiva can’t be seen by dullards,jnanies see.

 

11)yogies who are trying,see that  this athma is existing in  them.those who have not done what is to be done(not yet attained,)avivakies(inability to decide good and bad ,right and wrong) even though they try can’t see.

 

12)the brightness which includes sun is enlighting whole world.which light(thejas,brightness)  is in moonwhich thejas(brightness) is in fire,know that thejas(bright) is  mine.

 

13)myself entering earth wearing animals by ojas.as main rasa form moon support all vanaspathies(plants).

 

14)i depending upon (stomach fire) of all animals ,with prana and apaana  make to  digest four kinds of foods(anna,rice)

 

15) I am in-dweller(antharyami),in everybody’s  heart.mempry(smruthi).knowledge ,their removal(retirement) happen by me only. I am to be known by all vedas.one who have done vedantha ,vedas knower is myself only.

 

16)in this world two persuns(purushas) are famous.kshara means all animals..akshara is kutastha(firm,non mooving)

18)i am beyond kshara ,better than akshara.(beyond both kshara and akshara).therefore in  world and vedas  I am famous as purushotthama.

 

19) hey arjuna,who without becoming dullard understands me as purushotthama that omniscient  worships me with all feels(sarva bhaava).

 

20)hey sinless  arjuna ,like this is very secret thas scripture(shaastra) is told by me. Knowing this   man becomes  intelligent and kruthakruthya(what is to be done is done).

1 to 3)hey arjuna,fearlessness,purity of inner mind jnanayoga  arrangement(vyavasthithi………?),,donation,dama(control of mind),yajna(sacrifice),study of   vedas(vedadhyayana),penance(thapassu),simplicity,,non violence,truth,angerlessness,rebunciation (thyaga),peace,not to tell false allegation(chaadi),,kindness in animals,non desire for sense objects,,soft nature,,shyness,lack    of  fickleness,thejas(brightness),excuse,boldness,cleabliness,non traiting,lack of ego –these charecters  are prouced in divine characters.  (divine treasures).

 

4)hey arjuna,over pride,dominance,ego,anger,harsh speech and   ignorence and ignorance these charecters are produced in  those who are born for demon(asuri)  treasure.

 

5)divine treasure is for liberation ,demon treasure is for bondage it is my openion.hey arjuna ,don’t be sorrowful.you are born for  divine treasure only.

 

6)hey arjuna,in this world  there are two types of  humam creations.divine creation  has been explained in detail.now demon(asura,non divine)  will be told by me.

 

7)demon(asuri)  nautred  people  don’t know  instinct(hobby)  or retirement.in them there is no cleanliness(shoucha),no bahavior,no truth.

 

8)this world is false,not established(non existant),eshwaraless,,produced by union of female and male;what more?lust only is cause of creation –they tell like this.

 

9) depending upon this openion loss self(nastathma) ,less intellects,,cruel workers(krura karmies) world enemies are ,this demon natured  people are cause of  world destruction.

 

10)depending on unsatisfiable lust joined with overpride,honour ,show by fascination  holding bad  decisions behave uncleanly.(ashuchi).

 

11+12)depending upon worry which  can’t be  known  (immeasureble) destructive(pralayaanthaka),as enjoyers of lust,having decided this much only,

,being bound by hundreds of ropes of desires,being  followers of lust and anger,for enjoyment of kama(desires lust) try to  accumulate   unjustified money.

 

13)today this was got by me.i will get thay desire of mind. This money I have.i will get this money also.

 

14)this enemy has been killed by me.i will kill other enemies also.i am eshwara ,enjoyer,,siddha, strong, and happy person.

 

15+16)I am rich in money  and born in good family.who is equal to me.i will perform sacrifice.(yajna).i will donate. I will enjoy-thinking like this being fascinated by ignorance,,being illused by many  many worries,being covered by  fascination net,interested in lust,(desire,kama)enjoyment fall in unclean hell.

 

17)self gentlemen,,firm(stagnant) added with money ,honour ,pride,without folloing rules,for name sake only they will perform sacrifices(yajnas).

 

18)ego (aham),strength,dominance, lust(kama)and anger-depending on these hate me  who is in  in their own and other’s   bodies. Will be jealousy.

 

19)like this people who hate me that cruel ,sin doers,,lower people I will put in asuri(demon.non divine) womb.(vagina, uterus)

 

20)hey arjuna fools(dullards) who have non divine birthin every birth,without getting me will have  still lower  status(fate).

 

21)these three hell doors kama(lust),anger,and desire are  cause of self destruction.therefore they  should be left.

 

22)hey arjuna ,man left by these  three thamas doors  will make his development..by that he will get supreme post.

 

23)who leaving rulesof vedalives freely,he will not get purushartha fitness(eligibility).will not get happiness,,no supreme state.

 

24)therefore,in deciding work and non work(good and bad work)scriptures are only evidence.learning what is told in scriptures  rulesyou will become eligible to  do karmas  here.

Chapter 17 shraddha thraya   vibhaga   yoga.(  three shraddhas  division yoga):

 

Arjuna told:

1)hey  krishna,who leaving scriptural rules,worship( gods)what is their sincirity(shraddha).sathvika or rajasikaor thamasika?

 

 sri krishna told

2)born by  predisposition (samskara)ofprevious life of persons(bodied)  that shraddha is divided  into three kinds.saathvika raajasa thamasa.

 

3)hey arjuna,everybody’s shraddha(interest,sincirity) according to their   inner mind(anthahkarana).this purusha is shraddhamaya(one who has sincirity). One who has which sincirity he will be according to  that shraddha(sincirity,interest).

 

4)sathvikas worship gods..rajasikas worship yakshas and demons..other thamasika people worship prethas abnd bhuthas(ghosts devils) groups.

 

5+6)which people added with pride(show off) egos   added with lust raga(love)strengths  as avivekies(inability to decide what is right and wrong)Will be disturbing  me and also sensory groups  in the body.and those who are doing severe penance out of scriptural rules know such people are of asuri(demon,non divine) intellect.

 

7)food is also of three kinds according to differentiation of  sathva raja thama.

Like that yajna(sacrifice),penance ,donation,-these are  of three kinds.listen to their these differences.

 

8)longevity,sathva(goodness), strength,health,joy love-increasing these  rasa food(rasaful)smooth,firm,heart loving foods are lovable to  saathvikas.

 

9)very bitter sour saltish  hot,severe,dried ,thirst makingsorrow grief producingfoods are desirable to  rajasa person.

 

10)little matured,rasaless(tasteless), odourful(foul smelling) ,rotten,,left,unfit for yajna,,such food is desirable to  thamasika(thamasful) persons.

 

11)’one who does not desire for fruit(rsult)fixing mind to do yajna ‘yajna should be done’ which scripture  accepted jajna that is saathvika

 

12) but hey arjuna,with expectation of result , yajna which is done for show off(damba) that is rajasa ,understand.

 

13)scripture   rulesless ,without fooddonationmanthraless,dakshinsless,,interestless,sincirityless, that yajna is told thamasa.

 

14)gods brahmana s gurus jnanies worship cleanliness,aarjava(…………….?),celibacy(brahmacharya) ,non violance are  called body penance.

 

15)motionless true lovable favourable  sentences and study of self branch  are called  verbal(speech) penance.

 

16)pleasantness of mind, soft feel silence mind control, purity of feel –these are –these are called mental penance.

 

17)without expectetion of results, peaceful people practiced by supeme sincirity tht three kinds of penance  are called sathvika penance.

 

18)penance which is done for show off ,for sake of homours,,hospitality,worship,,mooving and temporal(anithya) here is called  rajasa.

 

19) disturbing to oneself  by dull intellect(foolishness),penance which is done for others destruction is ,that is called thamasa.

 

20)donation which is given for the sake of donationwhich is given to person being unable to rehelp (in return)n place ,time,and fitness (siutability) such donation is called ‘sathvika’.

 

21)but the donation which is done  with expectation of  with expectation of help in relation with  sorrow(klesha) that donation is rajasa.

 

22)which donation  given in that placw=e and time to unfit people without hospitality(honour) with negligence,this is called thamasa.

 

23)”om thath sath” three kinds of names have been told to brahma through it previously brahmins,yajnas ,vedas have become fit.

 

24) therefore brahmavadies (brahma arguers)   reciting ‘om’start  as  acceptable to scriptures(shasthras),yajna (sacrifice) karmas, penance  and donation works.

 

25)moksha (liberation)   desirers    telling ‘thath’ without  epecting returns jajna activities,,penance processes  and donation activities.

 

26) hey arjuna ,in good feel(sadbhaava),,in saadhu bhava  (feel) also’  this sath is used. In similar way in good(welfare)  karmas  also word’sath’ is used.’

 

27)in yajna(sacrifice)  donation,penance,what existence  is present it is called ‘sath’ and the work done for that  also is called’sath’.

 

28)hey partha,sacrifice(homa)  done without interest(sincirity) ,donation,penance,and karmas(works) all these are called ‘asath’.even after death also  it is not cause offruits(results).here also it is not cause of happiness.

Chapter 18,moksha sanyasa yoga.:

 

Arjuna told:

1)Hey great armed,hrushikesha ,keshinishudana,   I desire  to know principles (thathva) of  sanyasa and   renunciation seperately.

 

Sri   krishna told

2) some scholars  know sanyasa as  rnunciation of kaamya karmas.(desiring karmas).other few jnanies tell renunciation of  fruits of all karmas as renunciation

 

3)as karmas are defectful    should be left  and again few tell  yajna, donation, penance,karmas  are not to be left.

 

4)hey bharaha shresta,hear my decision regarding renunciation.hey purusha lion renunciation is of three kinds.is told in scriptures.

 

5)yajna ,donation penance these  karmas are not to be left..should be done.yajna,donation,and penance are holy to manieshies(munies)

 

6)but hey partha, and leaving interest  and these karmas  should be done.this is my  decided better openion.

 

7)but renunciaton of daily karmas is not proper.if you renunciate then by fascination is called is called thamasika.

 

8)who by fear of strain of body ,renunciating  karma ,thinking  them as sorrowful  only.he is doing rajasika renunciation will not have fruit of  genunciation.

 

9)hey arjuna,which daily karma  is doneis done thinking as duty leaving interest and fruits(results) such renunciation is sathvika..this is my openion.

 

10)intellect(medhavi),doubtless,sathvika renunciater does not hate interested karmas(kaamyakarmas).will not get interest in daily karmas.

 

11) because by body wearer it is not possible to leave karmas completely.who is (not interested ) in karma fruits who renunciates  ,he himself is renunciater.

 

12)bad desirable mixed these three karma results for non renunciaters ,after body death.but for saints  will never happen.

 

13)hey great armed(maha bahu), for siddhas(achieved)of all karmas five causes have been  told in vedantha.know them by me.

 

14) adhistana(base?),doer(karthru) many kinds of sense organs (karanas) and varieties of different works,among these  god(divine) is fifth.

 

15)by body,speech,mind- starts karmas which   are justified or unjustified.for that these are five causes.

 

16)when there  it is like that  who by by uncultured intellect(asamskrutha  buddhi)  knows only  athma is doer  that bad intellect won’t see.

 

17)one who does not have feeling  I am doerwhose intellect is not attached,he even if he kills   worlds,will not be killed nor binded

 

18)jnana (knowledge)  jneya(to be known),  jnathru(knower)-these are three prpmoters(pravarthaka)  ofkarma.karma  collections are of three kinds organ(karana) karma(work) doer(karthru).

 

19)jnana(knowledge) ,karma(work,rituals),doerthese three are by differentiation of sathva excetra as told in kapila scripture.listen to them  they are.

 

20)different in all bhuthas(animals) ,undivided,,irreducible(avyaya) ,single athma by which he sees   such jnana is sathvika .know this.

 

21)that knowledge(jnana)  is rajasa which understands various athmasin different forms in all animals.

 

22) but which knowledge totally  interested  in single work,causeless,which has no definite meaning,lower,that is thamasa it is said.

 

23)without   desire for it’s fruit, without hatred and love,daily done,interestless ,which karma is there  that is called sathvika.

 

24)but one who has desire of fruits(returns)and pride(egoful ),attached with very much strain,that work is rajasa.

 

25)bondage,reduction,,violence,power,without enquiery, which karma is startedwith fascination  that is told’thamasa’.

 

26)without expectationof fruit(returns) without pride of ‘myself’added with firmness and enthusiasm,unchanged by(in) siddhi and asiddhi,that doer is called sathvika.

 

27)interested ,desirer of fruits of fruits of karmas,miser,having violence nature,unclean, added with joy and sorrows,that doer is called ‘rajasika’.

 

28)one who has no balanced mind(equanimity of mind)uncultured intellect,one who does not promise to anybody,magician(mayaavi) one who destroys others profesion,unindustrial(anudyamasheela),,condolenceful,deerghasuthri(long thread holder?),that doer is called ‘thamasa’.

 

29)that knowledge is  rajasa   which understands various athmas  in different forms in all animals.

 

30) hey arjuna, pravrutthi(instinct) and retirement,good works and bad works fear non fear, bondage and liberation  which  understands ,that intellect  is sathvika.

 

31)hey arjuna,religion   and non religion(ethics and non ethics) , work and nonwork,by which one  does not  understand as they are(yathartha)that intellect  is  rajasika.

 

32)which is covered by thamas,understands adharma as dharma,,which understands  in excess all things,which are to be known that intellect is thamasa.

 

33)hey arjuna, man through yoga which unadultrated(ubdebatured,avyabhichari) firmnessmind prana and sense organsholds actions of these that firmness is sathvika

 

34) hey arjuna ,desirer of fruit(results) with very much interestby which firmness holds dharma(duty,ethics)artha(money) kama(lust)and liberation,that firmness is rajasika.

 

35)hey arjuna,wicked minded,by which firmness, won’t leave  these  sleep,fear,grief,condolence(vishada),pride-that firmness (dhrithi) is thamasika.

 

36+37)hey bharatha shresta,listen from me three kinds of joys(happinesses)

Man through long practice plays in which joy and gets sorrow reduced(abolished) which joy first  appears as poisonand like amritha at end-produced by grace of athma buddhi-that joy is sathvika  know.

 

38)by union of objects and senses which joy first amrutha like  at the end like poison   that joy is rajasika it has been told.

 

39)which joy appears  fascinating both at  beginning and end produced  bysleep laziness mistakes that joy is called  thamasa

 

40)being releived by these three gunas animal group  wheather  on earth or in  heavenly gods  not present.

 

41)hey arjuna,brahmana –kshathriya-vyshya-shudra  as their karmas are nature born by birth charecters is divided.

 

42)peace coolness,control of mind,penance,cleanliness ,arjava(………………….?)

Knowledge ,science,athiest(asthikya bhaava) feel-these are karmas of brahmana,produced by nature.

 

43)valience,praagalbhya,,firmness ,efficiency in work,not to run away in war,donation,lordship, these are kshathriyas.

 

44) agriculture ,protection of cattles,and trade(business)-these are  karmas  produced by  nature of vyshya.service form of karma is natural to shudra.

 

45)one who indulges in his own karmas will attain good siddhies. One who is engaged in his own dharma hoew he will get siddhi   listen  to them.

 

46)by whose graceanimals are produced ,by whom whole world is occupied,worshiping him by his own karmas  man will attain siddhi

 

47)other dharma which is practiced (anustana)well  ,charecterlessown dharma is higher ,doing karmas fixed by nature  man will not get sin.

 

48)hey arjuna, natural karma even if had defects,is not to be left(rejected).as fire is covered by smoke all karmas are covered by defects.

 

49) one who is not interested in all karmas,has own mind, desireless person,that person  will attain naishkarmya siddhi  by sanyasa.

 

50) hey arjuna,one who has got siddhihow he will attainbrahma which is supreme sincirity of knowledge that you understand by me.s

 

51+52+53)having pure  intellect,controling oneself by firmness ,leaving matters like shabda(word,nada,sound) excetra (rupa rasa  smell ,touch),rejecting love and hatred,living   in pepleless placewith limited food,controling body mind speech.always  in dhyana yoga(meditations),depending on  disinterest(vyragya,dejection),leaving ego(pride,aham)strength ,pride,kama(lust),anger without any affection,prideful, to possess   brahma bhaava . 

 

54)one who has attained brahma bhaava(feel),who is pleasant mindedwill not be sorrowful.won’t desire,becoming equal in all animals   will have supreme  devotion in me.

 

55)through devotion he wil know  where he is  and who he is.through that   understanding  me as it is(yathaartha) enters me then only.

 

56)though doing all karmas one who depends upon me,by my grace will attain,permanent,irreducible,(avyaya) post(position).

 

57)dedicating all  karmas by intellect,doing  my parayana)(thinking  of me only)depending on intellect yoga,let your mind be in  me only always.

 

58)having mind in me,by my grace you will cross all durgas(forts,difficulties.if you don’t listen to me by ego you will be destroyed.

 

59)depending upon egoif you think’I don’t  make war’this your decision is  false.because nature stimulates you.

 

60)hey,arjuna,being bound by karmas born by your nature what you want to do with fascinationwill  do it without control

 

61)hey arjun like mechanised dolls   turning(rotating)  all animals

Thinking all animals like will do it in heart of all lives.

 

62) hey arjuna,surender to  him only who is self of  of all.(sarvathma).by his grace  you will attain   supreme peace ,permnent place.

 

63)like this ,secret  of sectrets knowledge is told  by me to you.analysing it fully, do as you like.(decide)

 

64) most of all secrets ,listen to my supreme words again.as you are very much like to me will tell  this favour.

 

65)have mind in me only.become my devotee.worship  me only,do namaskarams to me.you will join me only.it will take true oath.because you are lovable to me.

 

66)renunciating all  dharmas  surender to me only. I will relieve you from all sins. Don’t be sorrow.

 

67)  I have told this to you.this should not be told to penanceless(thaporahitha).it should never be told to  non devotee.it should not be told to one who is jealousy about me.

 

68)one who tells this supreme this  supreme secret among my devotees ,he by doing  supreme devotion  will get me only.no doubt in this.

 

69)among men ,nobody is lovable to me Than him.on earth more lovable  person will not be born.

 

70)dharmaful(full religious) our this conversation,who  studies it he also becoming liberated ,gets good world of  good deeds.

 

71)sincere(shraddha,interest)jealousyless,which person listens to this   he also becoming liberated will attain good world of  good doers.

10)and in me with ananya yoga(uninequeness) avyabhichaari(undebatured) devotion,iving in peopleless place,,no love in mass of people-

 

11)sincirity in adhyathmiic knowledge,thoughts of meaning thathvajnana(philosophy)-these are told as jnana-one which is different from this  that is ignorance.

 

12)which is jneya,by knowing which  man gets amruthathva,,I will tell that.that is anadi(beginingless) parabrahma.that is not sath asath.

 

13)it has got hand and legs everywhere,has eyes  head mouths everywhere,has ears everywherewill be covering all in world.

 

14) that  jneya(to be known) in enlighting from all  character of senses.no all indrialess (sarvendriya  rahitha),uninterested, to all  aaspada(residence,chance,place…………..?),gunaless and enjoyer of gunas(thrigunas).

 

15)it is in and out of all animals.it is mooving and non mooving form,as it is very delicate it is difficult to understand.it is at distance .it is near also.

 

16)it is without any divisions,,in animals seems to be divided,.that jneya(to be known) is maintainer of all animals,killer,creater.s

 

17)that is light of lights.beyong thamas(dark) it has been told.that is knowledge’ to be known(jneya),can be entered by knowledge(jnanagamya) and resides in all’s hearts.

 

18)like this kshethra jnana,and jneya-these have been told in brief.my devotee knowingthis will be able to posses my feel.

 

 

19)know that prakruthi and purusha are  beginingless. Changes and gunas(charecterstics) are born by  nature.know this.

 

20)nature is cause of production of  body and senses. it is cause of experience of  joys and sorrows it is said.

 

21) purusha existing in prakruthi(nature) is experiencing  charecters taken birth from nature.to be born in good and bad wombs interest in gunas are cause.

 

22)the god(paramathma)in this body is witness.permiter(sanctioner,granter)

Is called husband(lord),enjoyer,maheshwara(great lord),and god(paramathma).

 

23)one who understands purusha with nature  along with gunas(charecters),will not take birth again however he may be.

 

24)few people see  athma in pure intellect  through meditation.again few by yoga(path of knowledge) and others by karmayoga.

 

25)some few without understanding athma like this,meditate(worship),by hearing from others.such shruthi hearers (shruthi parayana)also pass over death shortly.

 

26)hey arjuna,a thing produced in non mooving and mooving formthat is produced by union of kshethra and  kshethrajna.

 

27)equal in all animals ,non destructable  in temporary things,who sees  that paramathma (god) he will only see.

 

28)one who sees eshwara   equal n all places(everywhere)won’t destroy himself by himself.by this rason  he will get  supreme position.

 

29)by all means(kinds)  only prakruthi  itself will do  all karmas ,he himself is non-doer,who sees like this will  only see.

 

30)pruthakbhava of  of animals exists in one athma only  and by that onlyall these have expanded..one who sees like thisthen he will attain  brahma.

 

31)hey arjuna as it is beginingless,attributeless,this irreducible (avyaya)   this paramathma(god)  though present in body will not do any karma ,is not attached

(mirliptha)

 

32) how omnipresent  sky is delicate will not get attached in same way athma in all bodies is not attached.

 

33)hey arjuna,just like one sun enlighting whole world  in the same way kshethrajna enlightens all kshethras.

 

34)like this is differentiation of kshethra and kshethrajna and also  understands liberation of   animals(bhuthas) nature by eyes of  knowledge thus will attain brahma.

Chapter 14 gunathraya vibhaga yoga:

Sri krishna told:

1)by knowing which  all rushies(saints,sages) attained paramasiddhi(supreme achievement),among such knowledge I will reveal better and higher knowledge.

 

2)depending on this knowledge and who have same religion as  me(saadharmya) will not be born at creation time.won’t be disturbed(sorrowful)   at the time of  total destruction(pralaya).

 

3)hey arjuna,great prakruthi itself is  my yoni(vagina,womb).in that I place garbha(pregnancy)..by that all  animals are produced.

 

4)hey arjuna,which bodies are  are taking birth ,to them great (mahath)  nature  vagina.i am father who give seed.

 

5)hey mahabaho(great armed)  sathva rajas thamas  are three gunas  born by nature.they bind irreducible (avyaya) athma  in body.

 

6)hey sinless,,among them sathva is clean,therefore bright  anamaya(defectless,diseaseless).it binds athma in joyful relation and by knowledge relation.(jnana)

 

7) hey arjuna,thamo guna(character)  takes birth by ignorance(ajnana)  fascination in all animals.it binds athma  by mistake(pramada) ,laziness,and sleep.

 

8)hey arjuna,rajo guna is desireful.it makes thirst and relations it binds athma  by bondage of relation of karma.

 

9)hey arjuna,sathva guna produces  relation(friendship). With joy.rajo guna with karma..thamas guna covering knowledge(jnana) makes relation with mistakes.

 

10)hey arjuna,rejecting rajas and thamas sathva becomes  dominent..in the same way ,refusing sathva and rajas thamo guna  becomes dominent.

 

11)when in all sensory openings of body ,light of jnana (knowledge) is produced then we have to know that sathva guna has developed.

 

12)hey bharatha supreme,when rajo guna develops desire ,instincts(pravrutthi) karmas begin peacelessness  (ashama) and  attachment(soruha,desire)  are produced.

 

13)hey kurunandana when thamo guna develops,brightlessness,non instinct,mistakes, and fascination  these are produced.

 

14)when sathva guna develops  if body  wearer gets destroyed(dies)  then he will  will be born  among  better jnanies clean (dirtless) peoples.

 

15)when ajo guna develops, (body wearer) if gets destroyed  will be born among  people of  work interesteds(karma asakthi).when thamo guna develops ,one who is destroyed(dead) will be born in animal wombs.

 

16)for sathvika karma  clean sathvika results(fruits).fruit of rajas is  sorrow .result of thamas is ingnorance.

 

17)by sathva guna jnana (knowledge) is produced.by rajo guna  sdesire happens. By thamas mistake fascination ignorence is produced.

 

18)those people who are  in sathva guna  go above.rajoguna people stand in middle. From thamo guna  goes below.

 

19) when seer  does not see another doer  than gunas and when knows another   (opposite)other than gunas then he will have  my feel(bhava).

 

20)body wearer,going beyond three gunaswhich are cause of body production,being left from both,death old age sorrows,will attain amruthathva.

 

 

21) Arjuna told:

hey lord,one who has crossed beyond these three gunasis charecterised by which signs?what is his behavior?and how he overcrosses  these three gunas?

 

Sri krishna told:

22) hey arjuna,one who does not hate  even if brightness,instinct,fascinations comes,does not want even if  goes.

 

23)who being not disturbed by gunas and in negligence’gunas play or behave.’,thigks like  thisand does not moov.

 

23)who is not disturbed by gunasand is negligent,who knows ‘gunas play or behave’who knows this ,without mooving-

 

24who is equal in joys and sorrowshealthy,who sees stone, soil and gold equally

Whi is equal in likes and dislikes,valient,,who is equal in appreciation and blame-

 

25)who has equal mind in honour and dishonour,who is equal minded in  friend’s and enemy’s parties,who has left all karmas,he is called gunatheetha.

 

26)onwe who serves me with loneliness devotion yoga(bhakthi yoga),he going beyond these gunas(crossing) ,will be able to attain brahma bhaava(feel.).

 

27)because  I am supportive  to avyaya(irreducible)  amrutha (deathless) brahma,for loneliness joy.

Chapter 15  purushotthama yoga:

 

sri krishna told:

1)base (root ) above,branches below ashvath tree is indestructable (avyaya) as scriptures tell.it’s leaves are meters(chandassus).who knows them he knows vedas. 

 

2)grown up by gunas(charecters),having buds of sense objects,,it’s branches have spread above and below.in human world karma related  roots  have spread below.

 

3+4)in this family it’s form    is not according to above siad fact.it has no beginning middle end.well rooted this ashvath tree  cuting by   firm  weapon of  asanga(friendlessness,detachment),later  by joining which will not return that post should be searched. By whom  this ancient family has arised I will surender to that  worshipable purusha only.

 

5)one  who has no ego and fascination,who have won defect called ‘interest’,eternal adhyathmies ,have left all kamas,left by duals(dvandvas) of joy sorrow,those intellectswill attain that irreducible(undestructive,avyaya)  post.

 

6)sun won’t enlighten it.,not moon or fire will enlighten.,by possessing which will not return  that itself is my high position.

 

7)ancient my fraction  only in family as jiva attracts mind and sense organs  whigh are in prakruthi.

 

8)when jiva attains body and when leaves and goes then-air carrying  fragrances away from their place- carries away senses.

 

9)this jiva  enjoys sense  objects depending upon eye,skin,tongue,nose  and mind-.

10)while leaving body,,while staying in body onlyor while enjoying sense objects  or when joined with gunas this jiva can’t be seen by dullards,jnanies see.

 

11)yogies who are trying,see that  this athma is existing in  them.those who have not done what is to be done(not yet attained,)avivakies(inability to decide good and bad ,right and wrong) even though they try can’t see.

 

12)the brightness which includes sun is enlighting whole world.which light(thejas,brightness)  is in moonwhich thejas(brightness) is in fire,know that thejas(bright) is  mine.

 

13)myself entering earth wearing animals by ojas.as main rasa form moon support all vanaspathies(plants).

 

14)i depending upon (stomach fire) of all animals ,with prana and apaana  make to  digest four kinds of foods(anna,rice)

 

15) I am in-dweller(antharyami),in everybody’s  heart.mempry(smruthi).knowledge ,their removal(retirement) happen by me only. I am to be known by all vedas.one who have done vedantha ,vedas knower is myself only.

 

16)in this world two persuns(purushas) are famous.kshara means all animals..akshara is kutastha(firm,non mooving)

 

17)but  peculear than  kshara and akshara  purushotthama is told  god(paramathma). This avyaya(irreducible,destructionless) eshwara entering three worlds is wearing.

 

18)i am beyond kshara ,better than akshara.(beyond both kshara and akshara).therefore in  world and vedas  I am famous as purushotthama.

 

19) hey arjuna,who without becoming dullard understands me as purushotthama that omniscient  worships me with all feels(sarva bhaava).

 

20)hey sinless  arjuna ,like this is very secret thas scripture(shaastra) is told by me. Knowing this   man becomes  intelligent and kruthakruthya(what is to be done is done).

1 to 3)hey arjuna,fearlessness,purity of inner mind jnanayoga  arrangement(vyavasthithi………?),,donation,dama(control of mind),yajna(sacrifice),study of   vedas(vedadhyayana),penance(thapassu),simplicity,,non violence,truth,angerlessness,rebunciation (thyaga),peace,not to tell false allegation(chaadi),,kindness in animals,non desire for sense objects,,soft nature,,shyness,lack    of  fickleness,thejas(brightness),excuse,boldness,cleabliness,non traiting,lack of ego –these charecters  are prouced in divine characters.  (divine treasures).

 

4)hey arjuna,over pride,dominance,ego,anger,harsh speech and   ignorence and ignorance these charecters are produced in  those who are born for demon(asuri)  treasure.

 

5)divine treasure is for liberation ,demon treasure is for bondage it is my openion.hey arjuna ,don’t be sorrowful.you are born for  divine treasure only.

 

6)hey arjuna,in this world  there are two types of  humam creations.divine creation  has been explained in detail.now demon(asura,non divine)  will be told by me.

 

7)demon(asuri)  nautred  people  don’t know  instinct(hobby)  or retirement.in them there is no cleanliness(shoucha),no bahavior,no truth.

 

8)this world is false,not established(non existant),eshwaraless,,produced by union of female and male;what more?lust only is cause of creation –they tell like this.

 

9) depending upon this openion loss self(nastathma) ,less intellects,,cruel workers(krura karmies) world enemies are ,this demon natured  people are cause of  world destruction.

 

10)depending on unsatisfiable lust joined with overpride,honour ,show by fascination  holding bad  decisions behave uncleanly.(ashuchi).

 

11+12)depending upon worry which  can’t be  known  (immeasureble) destructive(pralayaanthaka),as enjoyers of lust,having decided this much only,

,being bound by hundreds of ropes of desires,being  followers of lust and anger,for enjoyment of kama(desires lust) try to  accumulate   unjustified money.

 

13)today this was got by me.i will get thay desire of mind. This money I have.i will get this money also.

 

14)this enemy has been killed by me.i will kill other enemies also.i am eshwara ,enjoyer,,siddha, strong, and happy person.

 

15+16)I am rich in money  and born in good family.who is equal to me.i will perform sacrifice.(yajna).i will donate. I will enjoy-thinking like this being fascinated by ignorance,,being illused by many  many worries,being covered by  fascination net,interested in lust,(desire,kama)enjoyment fall in unclean hell.

 

17)self gentlemen,,firm(stagnant) added with money ,honour ,pride,without folloing rules,for name sake only they will perform sacrifices(yajnas).

 

18)ego (aham),strength,dominance, lust(kama)and anger-depending on these hate me  who is in  in their own and other’s   bodies. Will be jealousy.

 

19)like this people who hate me that cruel ,sin doers,,lower people I will put in asuri(demon.non divine) womb.(vagina, uterus)

 

20)hey arjuna fools(dullards) who have non divine birthin every birth,without getting me will have  still lower  status(fate).

 

21)these three hell doors kama(lust),anger,and desire are  cause of self destruction.therefore they  should be left.

 

22)hey arjuna ,man left by these  three thamas doors  will make his development..by that he will get supreme post.

 

23)who leaving rulesof vedalives freely,he will not get purushartha fitness(eligibility).will not get happiness,,no supreme state.

 

24)therefore,in deciding work and non work(good and bad work)scriptures are only evidence.learning what is told in scriptures  rulesyou will become eligible to  do karmas  here.

Chapter 17 shraddha thraya   vibhaga   yoga.(  three shraddhas  division yoga):

 

Arjuna told:

1)hey  krishna,who leaving scriptural rules,worship( gods)what is their sincirity(shraddha).sathvika or rajasikaor thamasika?

 

 sri krishna told

2)born by  predisposition (samskara)ofprevious life of persons(bodied)  that shraddha is divided  into three kinds.saathvika raajasa thamasa.

 

3)hey arjuna,everybody’s shraddha(interest,sincirity) according to their   inner mind(anthahkarana).this purusha is shraddhamaya(one who has sincirity). One who has which sincirity he will be according to  that shraddha(sincirity,interest).

 

4)sathvikas worship gods..rajasikas worship yakshas and demons..other thamasika people worship prethas abnd bhuthas(ghosts devils) groups.

 

5+6)which people added with pride(show off) egos   added with lust raga(love)strengths  as avivekies(inability to decide what is right and wrong)Will be disturbing  me and also sensory groups  in the body.and those who are doing severe penance out of scriptural rules know such people are of asuri(demon,non divine) intellect.

 

7)food is also of three kinds according to differentiation of  sathva raja thama.

Like that yajna(sacrifice),penance ,donation,-these are  of three kinds.listen to their these differences.

 

8)longevity,sathva(goodness), strength,health,joy love-increasing these  rasa food(rasaful)smooth,firm,heart loving foods are lovable to  saathvikas.

 

9)very bitter sour saltish  hot,severe,dried ,thirst makingsorrow grief producingfoods are desirable to  rajasa person.

 

10)little matured,rasaless(tasteless), odourful(foul smelling) ,rotten,,left,unfit for yajna,,such food is desirable to  thamasika(thamasful) persons.

 

11)’one who does not desire for fruit(rsult)fixing mind to do yajna ‘yajna should be done’ which scripture  accepted jajna that is saathvika

 

12) but hey arjuna,with expectation of result , yajna which is done for show off(damba) that is rajasa ,understand.

 

13)scripture   rulesless ,without fooddonationmanthraless,dakshinsless,,interestless,sincirityless, that yajna is told thamasa.

 

14)gods brahmana s gurus jnanies worship cleanliness,aarjava(…………….?),celibacy(brahmacharya) ,non violance are  called body penance.

 

15)motionless true lovable favourable  sentences and study of self branch  are called  verbal(speech) penance.

 

16)pleasantness of mind, soft feel silence mind control, purity of feel –these are –these are called mental penance.

 

17)without expectetion of results, peaceful people practiced by supeme sincirity tht three kinds of penance  are called sathvika penance.

 

18)penance which is done for show off ,for sake of homours,,hospitality,worship,,mooving and temporal(anithya) here is called  rajasa.

 

19) disturbing to oneself  by dull intellect(foolishness),penance which is done for others destruction is ,that is called thamasa.

 

20)donation which is given for the sake of donationwhich is given to person being unable to rehelp (in return)n place ,time,and fitness (siutability) such donation is called ‘sathvika’.

 

21)but the donation which is done  with expectation of  with expectation of help in relation with  sorrow(klesha) that donation is rajasa.

 

22)which donation  given in that placw=e and time to unfit people without hospitality(honour) with negligence,this is called thamasa.

 

23)”om thath sath” three kinds of names have been told to brahma through it previously brahmins,yajnas ,vedas have become fit.

 

24) therefore brahmavadies (brahma arguers)   reciting ‘om’start  as  acceptable to scriptures(shasthras),yajna (sacrifice) karmas, penance  and donation works.

 

25)moksha (liberation)   desirers    telling ‘thath’ without  epecting returns jajna activities,,penance processes  and donation activities.

 

26) hey arjuna ,in good feel(sadbhaava),,in saadhu bhava  (feel) also’  this sath is used. In similar way in good(welfare)  karmas  also word’sath’ is used.’

 

27)in yajna(sacrifice)  donation,penance,what existence  is present it is called ‘sath’ and the work done for that  also is called’sath’.

 

28)hey partha,sacrifice(homa)  done without interest(sincirity) ,donation,penance,and karmas(works) all these are called ‘asath’.even after death also  it is not cause offruits(results).here also it is not cause of happiness.

Chapter 18,moksha sanyasa yoga.:

 

Arjuna told:

1)Hey great armed,hrushikesha ,keshinishudana,   I desire  to know principles (thathva) of  sanyasa and   renunciation seperately.

 

Sri   krishna told

2) some scholars  know sanyasa as  rnunciation of kaamya karmas.(desiring karmas).other few jnanies tell renunciation of  fruits of all karmas as renunciation

 

3)as karmas are defectful    should be left  and again few tell  yajna, donation, penance,karmas  are not to be left.

 

4)hey bharaha shresta,hear my decision regarding renunciation.hey purusha lion renunciation is of three kinds.is told in scriptures.

 

5)yajna ,donation penance these  karmas are not to be left..should be done.yajna,donation,and penance are holy to manieshies(munies)

 

6)but hey partha, and leaving interest  and these karmas  should be done.this is my  decided better openion.

 

7)but renunciaton of daily karmas is not proper.if you renunciate then by fascination is called is called thamasika.

 

8)who by fear of strain of body ,renunciating  karma ,thinking  them as sorrowful  only.he is doing rajasika renunciation will not have fruit of  genunciation.

 

9)hey arjuna,which daily karma  is doneis done thinking as duty leaving interest and fruits(results) such renunciation is sathvika..this is my openion.

 

10)intellect(medhavi),doubtless,sathvika renunciater does not hate interested karmas(kaamyakarmas).will not get interest in daily karmas.

 

11) because by body wearer it is not possible to leave karmas completely.who is (not interested ) in karma fruits who renunciates  ,he himself is renunciater.

 

12)bad desirable mixed these three karma results for non renunciaters ,after body death.but for saints  will never happen.

 

13)hey great armed(maha bahu), for siddhas(achieved)of all karmas five causes have been  told in vedantha.know them by me.

 

14) adhistana(base?),doer(karthru) many kinds of sense organs (karanas) and varieties of different works,among these  god(divine) is fifth.

 

15)by body,speech,mind- starts karmas which   are justified or unjustified.for that these are five causes.

 

16)when there  it is like that  who by by uncultured intellect(asamskrutha  buddhi)  knows only  athma is doer  that bad intellect won’t see.

 

17)one who does not have feeling  I am doerwhose intellect is not attached,he even if he kills   worlds,will not be killed nor binded

 

18)jnana (knowledge)  jneya(to be known),  jnathru(knower)-these are three prpmoters(pravarthaka)  ofkarma.karma  collections are of three kinds organ(karana) karma(work) doer(karthru).

 

19)jnana(knowledge) ,karma(work,rituals),doerthese three are by differentiation of sathva excetra as told in kapila scripture.listen to them  they are.

 

20)different in all bhuthas(animals) ,undivided,,irreducible(avyaya) ,single athma by which he sees   such jnana is sathvika .know this.

 

21)that knowledge(jnana)  is rajasa which understands various athmasin different forms in all animals.

 

22) but which knowledge totally  interested  in single work,causeless,which has no definite meaning,lower,that is thamasa it is said.

 

23)without   desire for it’s fruit, without hatred and love,daily done,interestless ,which karma is there  that is called sathvika.

 

24)but one who has desire of fruits(returns)and pride(egoful ),attached with very much strain,that work is rajasa.

 

25)bondage,reduction,,violence,power,without enquiery, which karma is startedwith fascination  that is told’thamasa’.

 

26)without expectationof fruit(returns) without pride of ‘myself’added with firmness and enthusiasm,unchanged by(in) siddhi and asiddhi,that doer is called sathvika.

 

27)interested ,desirer of fruits of fruits of karmas,miser,having violence nature,unclean, added with joy and sorrows,that doer is called ‘rajasika’.

 

28)one who has no balanced mind(equanimity of mind)uncultured intellect,one who does not promise to anybody,magician(mayaavi) one who destroys others profesion,unindustrial(anudyamasheela),,condolenceful,deerghasuthri(long thread holder?),that doer is called ‘thamasa’.

 

29)that knowledge is  rajasa   which understands various athmas  in different forms in all animals.

 

30) hey arjuna, pravrutthi(instinct) and retirement,good works and bad works fear non fear, bondage and liberation  which  understands ,that intellect  is sathvika.

 

31)hey arjuna,religion   and non religion(ethics and non ethics) , work and nonwork,by which one  does not  understand as they are(yathartha)that intellect  is  rajasika.

 

32)which is covered by thamas,understands adharma as dharma,,which understands  in excess all things,which are to be known that intellect is thamasa.

 

33)hey arjuna, man through yoga which unadultrated(ubdebatured,avyabhichari) firmnessmind prana and sense organsholds actions of these that firmness is sathvika

 

34) hey arjuna ,desirer of fruit(results) with very much interestby which firmness holds dharma(duty,ethics)artha(money) kama(lust)and liberation,that firmness is rajasika.

 

35)hey arjuna,wicked minded,by which firmness, won’t leave  these  sleep,fear,grief,condolence(vishada),pride-that firmness (dhrithi) is thamasika.

 

36+37)hey bharatha shresta,listen from me three kinds of joys(happinesses)

Man through long practice plays in which joy and gets sorrow reduced(abolished) which joy first  appears as poisonand like amritha at end-produced by grace of athma buddhi-that joy is sathvika  know.

 

38)by union of objects and senses which joy first amrutha like  at the end like poison   that joy is rajasika it has been told.

 

39)which joy appears  fascinating both at  beginning and end produced  bysleep laziness mistakes that joy is called  thamasa

 

40)being releived by these three gunas animal group  wheather  on earth or in  heavenly gods  not present.

 

41)hey arjuna,brahmana –kshathriya-vyshya-shudra  as their karmas are nature born by birth charecters is divided.

 

42)peace coolness,control of mind,penance,cleanliness ,arjava(………………….?)

Knowledge ,science,athiest(asthikya bhaava) feel-these are karmas of brahmana,produced by nature.

 

43)valience,praagalbhya,,firmness ,efficiency in work,not to run away in war,donation,lordship, these are kshathriyas.

 

44) agriculture ,protection of cattles,and trade(business)-these are  karmas  produced by  nature of vyshya.service form of karma is natural to shudra.

 

45)one who indulges in his own karmas will attain good siddhies. One who is engaged in his own dharma hoew he will get siddhi   listen  to them.

 

46)by whose graceanimals are produced ,by whom whole world is occupied,worshiping him by his own karmas  man will attain siddhi

 

47)other dharma which is practiced (anustana)well  ,charecterlessown dharma is higher ,doing karmas fixed by nature  man will not get sin.

 

48)hey arjuna, natural karma even if had defects,is not to be left(rejected).as fire is covered by smoke all karmas are covered by defects.

 

49) one who is not interested in all karmas,has own mind, desireless person,that person  will attain naishkarmya siddhi  by sanyasa.

 

50) hey arjuna,one who has got siddhihow he will attainbrahma which is supreme sincirity of knowledge that you understand by me.s

 

51+52+53)having pure  intellect,controling oneself by firmness ,leaving matters like shabda(word,nada,sound) excetra (rupa rasa  smell ,touch),rejecting love and hatred,living   in pepleless placewith limited food,controling body mind speech.always  in dhyana yoga(meditations),depending on  disinterest(vyragya,dejection),leaving ego(pride,aham)strength ,pride,kama(lust),anger without any affection,prideful, to possess   brahma bhaava . 

 

54)one who has attained brahma bhaava(feel),who is pleasant mindedwill not be sorrowful.won’t desire,becoming equal in all animals   will have supreme  devotion in me.

 

55)through devotion he wil know  where he is  and who he is.through that   understanding  me as it is(yathaartha) enters me then only.

 

56)though doing all karmas one who depends upon me,by my grace will attain,permanent,irreducible,(avyaya) post(position).

 

57)dedicating all  karmas by intellect,doing  my parayana)(thinking  of me only)depending on intellect yoga,let your mind be in  me only always.

 

58)having mind in me,by my grace you will cross all durgas(forts,difficulties.if you don’t listen to me by ego you will be destroyed.

 

59)depending upon egoif you think’I don’t  make war’this your decision is  false.because nature stimulates you.

 

60)hey,arjuna,being bound by karmas born by your nature what you want to do with fascinationwill  do it without control

 

61)hey arjun like mechanised dolls   turning(rotating)  all animals

Thinking all animals like will do it in heart of all lives.

 

62) hey arjuna,surender to  him only who is self of  of all.(sarvathma).by his grace  you will attain   supreme peace ,permnent place.

 

63)like this ,secret  of sectrets knowledge is told  by me to you.analysing it fully, do as you like.(decide)

 

64) most of all secrets ,listen to my supreme words again.as you are very much like to me will tell  this favour.

 

65)have mind in me only.become my devotee.worship  me only,do namaskarams to me.you will join me only.it will take true oath.because you are lovable to me.

 

66)renunciating all  dharmas  surender to me only. I will relieve you from all sins. Don’t be sorrow.

 

67)  I have told this to you.this should not be told to penanceless(thaporahitha).it should never be told to  non devotee.it should not be told to one who is jealousy about me.

 

68)one who tells this supreme this  supreme secret among my devotees ,he by doing  supreme devotion  will get me only.no doubt in this.

 

69)among men ,nobody is lovable to me Than him.on earth more lovable  person will not be born.

 

70)dharmaful(full religious) our this conversation,who  studies it he also becoming liberated ,gets good world of  good deeds.

 

71)sincere(shraddha,interest)jealousyless,which person listens to this   he also becoming liberated will attain good world of  good doers.

 

72)hey partha,did you listen to this concebtration?hey dhananjaya is your fascination is out of ignorance,destroyed.

Chapter 13.kshethra kshethrajna yoga:

1)hey arjuna,this body is called kshethra.one who knows that is called ‘kshethrajna.’  This  Is told by known people.

 

2)hey arjuna,know  that I am kshethrajna who is in all fields(kshethras)this knowledge of kshethra –kshethrajna  itself is knowledge. This is my openion.

 

3)which is that kshethra ?and what kind it has?which change(vukara) it has? By which which happens?and who is he?what nature he has?hear all those from me briefly.

 

4)(kshethra-kshethrajna forms forms) rushies have sung in many ways.various meters(chandassus) have  have sung  differently.added with hethu(reasons)  and firm form brahmasuthras  have told.

 

5+6)five great elements(pancha maha bhuthas) ego(ahankara),intellect,avyaktha(unmanifest),,ten senses, and mind,five sense objects,desire,hatred bliss(joy),sorrow,sanghatha(…………….?), chethana(spirit) dhrithi(firmness)-this is kshethra.this which is associated with change(vikara)is told by me.

 

7)amanithva,adambhithva,non violence, kshanthi,aarjava,,acharya upasana(worship),,cleanliness boldness self control-

 

8)dejection (disinterest) with respect to sense objects,egolessness,,birth death old age disease sorrow-to see defects in these-

 

9)in wife house childern excetra,  no interest and indulgence thanmayathe………………….?),equal mindedness  forever when likes and dislikes  are got-

 

10)and in me with ananya yoga(uninequeness) avyabhichaari(undebatured) devotion,iving in peopleless place,,no love in mass of people-

 

11)sincirity in adhyathmiic knowledge,thoughts of meaning thathvajnana(philosophy)-these are told as jnana-one which is different from this  that is ignorance.

 

12)which is jneya,by knowing which  man gets amruthathva,,I will tell that.that is anadi(beginingless) parabrahma.that is not sath asath.

 

13)it has got hand and legs everywhere,has eyes  head mouths everywhere,has ears everywherewill be covering all in world.

 

14) that  jneya(to be known) in enlighting from all  character of senses.no all indrialess (sarvendriya  rahitha),uninterested, to all  aaspada(residence,chance,place…………..?),gunaless and enjoyer of gunas(thrigunas).

 

15)it is in and out of all animals.it is mooving and non mooving form,as it is very delicate it is difficult to understand.it is at distance .it is near also.

 

16)it is without any divisions,,in animals seems to be divided,.that jneya(to be known) is maintainer of all animals,killer,creater.s

 

17)that is light of lights.beyong thamas(dark) it has been told.that is knowledge’ to be known(jneya),can be entered by knowledge(jnanagamya) and resides in all’s hearts.

 

18)like this kshethra jnana,and jneya-these have been told in brief.my devotee knowingthis will be able to posses my feel.

 

 

19)know that prakruthi and purusha are  beginingless. Changes and gunas(charecterstics) are born by  nature.know this.

 

20)nature is cause of production of  body and senses. it is cause of experience of  joys and sorrows it is said.

 

21) purusha existing in prakruthi(nature) is experiencing  charecters taken birth from nature.to be born in good and bad wombs interest in gunas are cause.

 

22)the god(paramathma)in this body is witness.permiter(sanctioner,granter)

Is called husband(lord),enjoyer,maheshwara(great lord),and god(paramathma).

 

23)one who understands purusha with nature  along with gunas(charecters),will not take birth again however he may be.

 

24)few people see  athma in pure intellect  through meditation.again few by yoga(path of knowledge) and others by karmayoga.

 

25)some few without understanding athma like this,meditate(worship),by hearing from others.such shruthi hearers (shruthi parayana)also pass over death shortly.

 

26)hey arjuna,a thing produced in non mooving and mooving formthat is produced by union of kshethra and  kshethrajna.

 

27)equal in all animals ,non destructable  in temporary things,who sees  that paramathma (god) he will only see.

 

28)one who sees eshwara   equal n all places(everywhere)won’t destroy himself by himself.by this rason  he will get  supreme position.

 

29)by all means(kinds)  only prakruthi  itself will do  all karmas ,he himself is non-doer,who sees like this will  only see.

 

30)pruthakbhava of  of animals exists in one athma only  and by that onlyall these have expanded..one who sees like thisthen he will attain  brahma.

 

31)hey arjuna as it is beginingless,attributeless,this irreducible (avyaya)   this paramathma(god)  though present in body will not do any karma ,is not attached

(mirliptha)

 

32) how omnipresent  sky is delicate will not get attached in same way athma in all bodies is not attached.

 

33)hey arjuna,just like one sun enlighting whole world  in the same way kshethrajna enlightens all kshethras.

 

34)like this is differentiation of kshethra and kshethrajna and also  understands liberation of   animals(bhuthas) nature by eyes of  knowledge thus will attain brahma.

 

Chapter 13 kshethra kshethrajna yoga is completed

Chapter 14 gunathraya vibhaga yoga:

Sri krishna told:

1)by knowing which  all rushies(saints,sages) attained paramasiddhi(supreme achievement),among such knowledge I will reveal better and higher knowledge.

 

2)depending on this knowledge and who have same religion as  me(saadharmya) will not be born at creation time.won’t be disturbed(sorrowful)   at the time of  total destruction(pralaya).

 

3)hey arjuna,great prakruthi itself is  my yoni(vagina,womb).in that I place garbha(pregnancy)..by that all  animals are produced.

 

4)hey arjuna,which bodies are  are taking birth ,to them great (mahath)  nature  vagina.i am father who give seed.

 

5)hey mahabaho(great armed)  sathva rajas thamas  are three gunas  born by nature.they bind irreducible (avyaya) athma  in body.

 

6)hey sinless,,among them sathva is clean,therefore bright  anamaya(defectless,diseaseless).it binds athma in joyful relation and by knowledge relation.(jnana)

 

7) hey arjuna,thamo guna(character)  takes birth by ignorance(ajnana)  fascination in all animals.it binds athma  by mistake(pramada) ,laziness,and sleep.

 

8)hey arjuna,rajo guna is desireful.it makes thirst and relations it binds athma  by bondage of relation of karma.

 

9)hey arjuna,sathva guna produces  relation(friendship). With joy.rajo guna with karma..thamas guna covering knowledge(jnana) makes relation with mistakes.

 

10)hey arjuna,rejecting rajas and thamas sathva becomes  dominent..in the same way ,refusing sathva and rajas thamo guna  becomes dominent.

 

11)when in all sensory openings of body ,light of jnana (knowledge) is produced then we have to know that sathva guna has developed.

 

12)hey bharatha supreme,when rajo guna develops desire ,instincts(pravrutthi) karmas begin peacelessness  (ashama) and  attachment(soruha,desire)  are produced.

 

13)hey kurunandana when thamo guna develops,brightlessness,non instinct,mistakes, and fascination  these are produced.

 

14)when sathva guna develops  if body  wearer gets destroyed(dies)  then he will  will be born  among  better jnanies clean (dirtless) peoples.

 

15)when ajo guna develops, (body wearer) if gets destroyed  will be born among  people of  work interesteds(karma asakthi).when thamo guna develops ,one who is destroyed(dead) will be born in animal wombs.

 

16)for sathvika karma  clean sathvika results(fruits).fruit of rajas is  sorrow .result of thamas is ingnorance.

 

17)by sathva guna jnana (knowledge) is produced.by rajo guna  sdesire happens. By thamas mistake fascination ignorence is produced.

 

18)those people who are  in sathva guna  go above.rajoguna people stand in middle. From thamo guna  goes below.

 

19) when seer  does not see another doer  than gunas and when knows another   (opposite)other than gunas then he will have  my feel(bhava).

 

20)body wearer,going beyond three gunaswhich are cause of body production,being left from both,death old age sorrows,will attain amruthathva.

 

 

21) Arjuna told:

hey lord,one who has crossed beyond these three gunasis charecterised by which signs?what is his behavior?and how he overcrosses  these three gunas?

 

Sri krishna told:

22) hey arjuna,one who does not hate  even if brightness,instinct,fascinations comes,does not want even if  goes.

 

23)who being not disturbed by gunas and in negligence’gunas play or behave.’,thigks like  thisand does not moov.

 

23)who is not disturbed by gunasand is negligent,who knows ‘gunas play or behave’who knows this ,without mooving-

 

24who is equal in joys and sorrowshealthy,who sees stone, soil and gold equally

Whi is equal in likes and dislikes,valient,,who is equal in appreciation and blame-

 

25)who has equal mind in honour and dishonour,who is equal minded in  friend’s and enemy’s parties,who has left all karmas,he is called gunatheetha.

 

26)onwe who serves me with loneliness devotion yoga(bhakthi yoga),he going beyond these gunas(crossing) ,will be able to attain brahma bhaava(feel.).

 

27)because  I am supportive  to avyaya(irreducible)  amrutha (deathless) brahma,for loneliness joy.

 

Chapter 14 ‘gunathraya yoga ‘completed.

Chapter 15  purushotthama yoga:

 

sri krishna told:

1)base (root ) above,branches below ashvath tree is indestructable (avyaya) as scriptures tell.it’s leaves are meters(chandassus).who knows them he knows vedas. 

 

2)grown up by gunas(charecters),having buds of sense objects,,it’s branches have spread above and below.in human world karma related  roots  have spread below.

 

3+4)in this family it’s form    is not according to above siad fact.it has no beginning middle end.well rooted this ashvath tree  cuting by   firm  weapon of  asanga(friendlessness,detachment),later  by joining which will not return that post should be searched. By whom  this ancient family has arised I will surender to that  worshipable purusha only.

 

5)one  who has no ego and fascination,who have won defect called ‘interest’,eternal adhyathmies ,have left all kamas,left by duals(dvandvas) of joy sorrow,those intellectswill attain that irreducible(undestructive,avyaya)  post.

 

6)sun won’t enlighten it.,not moon or fire will enlighten.,by possessing which will not return  that itself is my high position.

 

7)ancient my fraction  only in family as jiva attracts mind and sense organs  whigh are in prakruthi.

 

8)when jiva attains body and when leaves and goes then-air carrying  fragrances away from their place- carries away senses.

 

9)this jiva  enjoys sense  objects depending upon eye,skin,tongue,nose  and mind-.

10)while leaving body,,while staying in body onlyor while enjoying sense objects  or when joined with gunas this jiva can’t be seen by dullards,jnanies see.

 

11)yogies who are trying,see that  this athma is existing in  them.those who have not done what is to be done(not yet attained,)avivakies(inability to decide good and bad ,right and wrong) even though they try can’t see.

 

12)the brightness which includes sun is enlighting whole world.which light(thejas,brightness)  is in moonwhich thejas(brightness) is in fire,know that thejas(bright) is  mine.

 

13)myself entering earth wearing animals by ojas.as main rasa form moon support all vanaspathies(plants).

 

14)i depending upon (stomach fire) of all animals ,with prana and apaana  make to  digest four kinds of foods(anna,rice)

 

15) I am in-dweller(antharyami),in everybody’s  heart.mempry(smruthi).knowledge ,their removal(retirement) happen by me only. I am to be known by all vedas.one who have done vedantha ,vedas knower is myself only.

 

16)in this world two persuns(purushas) are famous.kshara means all animals..akshara is kutastha(firm,non mooving)

 

17)but  peculear than  kshara and akshara  purushotthama is told  god(paramathma). This avyaya(irreducible,destructionless) eshwara entering three worlds is wearing.

 

18)i am beyond kshara ,better than akshara.(beyond both kshara and akshara).therefore in  world and vedas  I am famous as purushotthama.

 

19) hey arjuna,who without becoming dullard understands me as purushotthama that omniscient  worships me with all feels(sarva bhaava).

 

20)hey sinless  arjuna ,like this is very secret thas scripture(shaastra) is told by me. Knowing this   man becomes  intelligent and kruthakruthya(what is to be done is done).

Chapter no 15   purushotthama yoga  completed.

1 to 3)hey arjuna,fearlessness,purity of inner mind jnanayoga  arrangement(vyavasthithi………?),,donation,dama(control of mind),yajna(sacrifice),study of   vedas(vedadhyayana),penance(thapassu),simplicity,,non violence,truth,angerlessness,rebunciation (thyaga),peace,not to tell false allegation(chaadi),,kindness in animals,non desire for sense objects,,soft nature,,shyness,lack    of  fickleness,thejas(brightness),excuse,boldness,cleabliness,non traiting,lack of ego –these charecters  are prouced in divine characters.  (divine treasures).

 

4)hey arjuna,over pride,dominance,ego,anger,harsh speech and   ignorence and ignorance these charecters are produced in  those who are born for demon(asuri)  treasure.

 

5)divine treasure is for liberation ,demon treasure is for bondage it is my openion.hey arjuna ,don’t be sorrowful.you are born for  divine treasure only.

 

6)hey arjuna,in this world  there are two types of  humam creations.divine creation  has been explained in detail.now demon(asura,non divine)  will be told by me.

 

7)demon(asuri)  nautred  people  don’t know  instinct(hobby)  or retirement.in them there is no cleanliness(shoucha),no bahavior,no truth.

 

8)this world is false,not established(non existant),eshwaraless,,produced by union of female and male;what more?lust only is cause of creation –they tell like this.

 

9) depending upon this openion loss self(nastathma) ,less intellects,,cruel workers(krura karmies) world enemies are ,this demon natured  people are cause of  world destruction.

 

10)depending on unsatisfiable lust joined with overpride,honour ,show by fascination  holding bad  decisions behave uncleanly.(ashuchi).

 

11+12)depending upon worry which  can’t be  known  (immeasureble) destructive(pralayaanthaka),as enjoyers of lust,having decided this much only,

,being bound by hundreds of ropes of desires,being  followers of lust and anger,for enjoyment of kama(desires lust) try to  accumulate   unjustified money.

 

13)today this was got by me.i will get thay desire of mind. This money I have.i will get this money also.

 

14)this enemy has been killed by me.i will kill other enemies also.i am eshwara ,enjoyer,,siddha, strong, and happy person.

 

15+16)I am rich in money  and born in good family.who is equal to me.i will perform sacrifice.(yajna).i will donate. I will enjoy-thinking like this being fascinated by ignorance,,being illused by many  many worries,being covered by  fascination net,interested in lust,(desire,kama)enjoyment fall in unclean hell.

 

17)self gentlemen,,firm(stagnant) added with money ,honour ,pride,without folloing rules,for name sake only they will perform sacrifices(yajnas).

 

18)ego (aham),strength,dominance, lust(kama)and anger-depending on these hate me  who is in  in their own and other’s   bodies. Will be jealousy.

 

19)like this people who hate me that cruel ,sin doers,,lower people I will put in asuri(demon.non divine) womb.(vagina, uterus)

 

20)hey arjuna fools(dullards) who have non divine birthin every birth,without getting me will have  still lower  status(fate).

 

21)these three hell doors kama(lust),anger,and desire are  cause of self destruction.therefore they  should be left.

 

22)hey arjuna ,man left by these  three thamas doors  will make his development..by that he will get supreme post.

 

23)who leaving rulesof vedalives freely,he will not get purushartha fitness(eligibility).will not get happiness,,no supreme state.

 

24)therefore,in deciding work and non work(good and bad work)scriptures are only evidence.learning what is told in scriptures  rulesyou will become eligible to  do karmas  here.

Chapter 17 shraddha thraya   vibhaga   yoga.(  three shraddhas  division yoga):

 

Arjuna told:

1)hey  krishna,who leaving scriptural rules,worship( gods)what is their sincirity(shraddha).sathvika or rajasikaor thamasika?

 

 sri krishna told

2)born by  predisposition (samskara)ofprevious life of persons(bodied)  that shraddha is divided  into three kinds.saathvika raajasa thamasa.

 

3)hey arjuna,everybody’s shraddha(interest,sincirity) according to their   inner mind(anthahkarana).this purusha is shraddhamaya(one who has sincirity). One who has which sincirity he will be according to  that shraddha(sincirity,interest).

 

4)sathvikas worship gods..rajasikas worship yakshas and demons..other thamasika people worship prethas abnd bhuthas(ghosts devils) groups.

 

5+6)which people added with pride(show off) egos   added with lust raga(love)strengths  as avivekies(inability to decide what is right and wrong)Will be disturbing  me and also sensory groups  in the body.and those who are doing severe penance out of scriptural rules know such people are of asuri(demon,non divine) intellect.

 

7)food is also of three kinds according to differentiation of  sathva raja thama.

Like that yajna(sacrifice),penance ,donation,-these are  of three kinds.listen to their these differences.

 

8)longevity,sathva(goodness), strength,health,joy love-increasing these  rasa food(rasaful)smooth,firm,heart loving foods are lovable to  saathvikas.

 

9)very bitter sour saltish  hot,severe,dried ,thirst makingsorrow grief producingfoods are desirable to  rajasa person.

 

10)little matured,rasaless(tasteless), odourful(foul smelling) ,rotten,,left,unfit for yajna,,such food is desirable to  thamasika(thamasful) persons.

 

11)’one who does not desire for fruit(rsult)fixing mind to do yajna ‘yajna should be done’ which scripture  accepted jajna that is saathvika

 

12) but hey arjuna,with expectation of result , yajna which is done for show off(damba) that is rajasa ,understand.

 

13)scripture   rulesless ,without fooddonationmanthraless,dakshinsless,,interestless,sincirityless, that yajna is told thamasa.

 

14)gods brahmana s gurus jnanies worship cleanliness,aarjava(…………….?),celibacy(brahmacharya) ,non violance are  called body penance.

 

15)motionless true lovable favourable  sentences and study of self branch  are called  verbal(speech) penance.

 

16)pleasantness of mind, soft feel silence mind control, purity of feel –these are –these are called mental penance.

 

17)without expectetion of results, peaceful people practiced by supeme sincirity tht three kinds of penance  are called sathvika penance.

 

18)penance which is done for show off ,for sake of homours,,hospitality,worship,,mooving and temporal(anithya) here is called  rajasa.

 

19) disturbing to oneself  by dull intellect(foolishness),penance which is done for others destruction is ,that is called thamasa.

 

20)donation which is given for the sake of donationwhich is given to person being unable to rehelp (in return)n place ,time,and fitness (siutability) such donation is called ‘sathvika’.

 

21)but the donation which is done  with expectation of  with expectation of help in relation with  sorrow(klesha) that donation is rajasa.

 

22)which donation  given in that placw=e and time to unfit people without hospitality(honour) with negligence,this is called thamasa.

 

23)”om thath sath” three kinds of names have been told to brahma through it previously brahmins,yajnas ,vedas have become fit.

 

24) therefore brahmavadies (brahma arguers)   reciting ‘om’start  as  acceptable to scriptures(shasthras),yajna (sacrifice) karmas, penance  and donation works.

 

25)moksha (liberation)   desirers    telling ‘thath’ without  epecting returns jajna activities,,penance processes  and donation activities.

 

26) hey arjuna ,in good feel(sadbhaava),,in saadhu bhava  (feel) also’  this sath is used. In similar way in good(welfare)  karmas  also word’sath’ is used.’

 

27)in yajna(sacrifice)  donation,penance,what existence  is present it is called ‘sath’ and the work done for that  also is called’sath’.

 

28)hey partha,sacrifice(homa)  done without interest(sincirity) ,donation,penance,and karmas(works) all these are called ‘asath’.even after death also  it is not cause offruits(results).here also it is not cause of happiness.

 

Chapter  17 shraddha thraya vibhaga yoga completed.

Chapter 18,moksha sanyasa yoga.:

 

Arjuna told:

1)Hey great armed,hrushikesha ,keshinishudana,   I desire  to know principles (thathva) of  sanyasa and   renunciation seperately.

 

Sri   krishna told

2) some scholars  know sanyasa as  rnunciation of kaamya karmas.(desiring karmas).other few jnanies tell renunciation of  fruits of all karmas as renunciation

 

3)as karmas are defectful    should be left  and again few tell  yajna, donation, penance,karmas  are not to be left.

 

4)hey bharaha shresta,hear my decision regarding renunciation.hey purusha lion renunciation is of three kinds.is told in scriptures.

 

5)yajna ,donation penance these  karmas are not to be left..should be done.yajna,donation,and penance are holy to manieshies(munies)

 

6)but hey partha, and leaving interest  and these karmas  should be done.this is my  decided better openion.

 

7)but renunciaton of daily karmas is not proper.if you renunciate then by fascination is called is called thamasika.

 

8)who by fear of strain of body ,renunciating  karma ,thinking  them as sorrowful  only.he is doing rajasika renunciation will not have fruit of  genunciation.

 

9)hey arjuna,which daily karma  is doneis done thinking as duty leaving interest and fruits(results) such renunciation is sathvika..this is my openion.

 

10)intellect(medhavi),doubtless,sathvika renunciater does not hate interested karmas(kaamyakarmas).will not get interest in daily karmas.

 

11) because by body wearer it is not possible to leave karmas completely.who is (not interested ) in karma fruits who renunciates  ,he himself is renunciater.

 

12)bad desirable mixed these three karma results for non renunciaters ,after body death.but for saints  will never happen.

 

13)hey great armed(maha bahu), for siddhas(achieved)of all karmas five causes have been  told in vedantha.know them by me.

 

14) adhistana(base?),doer(karthru) many kinds of sense organs (karanas) and varieties of different works,among these  god(divine) is fifth.

 

15)by body,speech,mind- starts karmas which   are justified or unjustified.for that these are five causes.

 

16)when there  it is like that  who by by uncultured intellect(asamskrutha  buddhi)  knows only  athma is doer  that bad intellect won’t see.

 

17)one who does not have feeling  I am doerwhose intellect is not attached,he even if he kills   worlds,will not be killed nor binded

 

18)jnana (knowledge)  jneya(to be known),  jnathru(knower)-these are three prpmoters(pravarthaka)  ofkarma.karma  collections are of three kinds organ(karana) karma(work) doer(karthru).

 

19)jnana(knowledge) ,karma(work,rituals),doerthese three are by differentiation of sathva excetra as told in kapila scripture.listen to them  they are.

 

20)different in all bhuthas(animals) ,undivided,,irreducible(avyaya) ,single athma by which he sees   such jnana is sathvika .know this.

 

21)that knowledge(jnana)  is rajasa which understands various athmasin different forms in all animals.

 

22) but which knowledge totally  interested  in single work,causeless,which has no definite meaning,lower,that is thamasa it is said.

 

23)without   desire for it’s fruit, without hatred and love,daily done,interestless ,which karma is there  that is called sathvika.

 

24)but one who has desire of fruits(returns)and pride(egoful ),attached with very much strain,that work is rajasa.

 

25)bondage,reduction,,violence,power,without enquiery, which karma is startedwith fascination  that is told’thamasa’.

 

26)without expectationof fruit(returns) without pride of ‘myself’added with firmness and enthusiasm,unchanged by(in) siddhi and asiddhi,that doer is called sathvika.

 

27)interested ,desirer of fruits of fruits of karmas,miser,having violence nature,unclean, added with joy and sorrows,that doer is called ‘rajasika’.

 

28)one who has no balanced mind(equanimity of mind)uncultured intellect,one who does not promise to anybody,magician(mayaavi) one who destroys others profesion,unindustrial(anudyamasheela),,condolenceful,deerghasuthri(long thread holder?),that doer is called ‘thamasa’.

 

29)that knowledge is  rajasa   which understands various athmas  in different forms in all animals.

 

30) hey arjuna, pravrutthi(instinct) and retirement,good works and bad works fear non fear, bondage and liberation  which  understands ,that intellect  is sathvika.

 

31)hey arjuna,religion   and non religion(ethics and non ethics) , work and nonwork,by which one  does not  understand as they are(yathartha)that intellect  is  rajasika.

 

32)which is covered by thamas,understands adharma as dharma,,which understands  in excess all things,which are to be known that intellect is thamasa.

 

33)hey arjuna, man through yoga which unadultrated(ubdebatured,avyabhichari) firmnessmind prana and sense organsholds actions of these that firmness is sathvika

 

34) hey arjuna ,desirer of fruit(results) with very much interestby which firmness holds dharma(duty,ethics)artha(money) kama(lust)and liberation,that firmness is rajasika.

 

35)hey arjuna,wicked minded,by which firmness, won’t leave  these  sleep,fear,grief,condolence(vishada),pride-that firmness (dhrithi) is thamasika.

 

36+37)hey bharatha shresta,listen from me three kinds of joys(happinesses)

Man through long practice plays in which joy and gets sorrow reduced(abolished) which joy first  appears as poisonand like amritha at end-produced by grace of athma buddhi-that joy is sathvika  know.

 

38)by union of objects and senses which joy first amrutha like  at the end like poison   that joy is rajasika it has been told.

 

39)which joy appears  fascinating both at  beginning and end produced  bysleep laziness mistakes that joy is called  thamasa

 

40)being releived by these three gunas animal group  wheather  on earth or in  heavenly gods  not present.

 

41)hey arjuna,brahmana –kshathriya-vyshya-shudra  as their karmas are nature born by birth charecters is divided.

 

42)peace coolness,control of mind,penance,cleanliness ,arjava(………………….?)

Knowledge ,science,athiest(asthikya bhaava) feel-these are karmas of brahmana,produced by nature.

 

43)valience,praagalbhya,,firmness ,efficiency in work,not to run away in war,donation,lordship, these are kshathriyas.

 

44) agriculture ,protection of cattles,and trade(business)-these are  karmas  produced by  nature of vyshya.service form of karma is natural to shudra.

 

45)one who indulges in his own karmas will attain good siddhies. One who is engaged in his own dharma hoew he will get siddhi   listen  to them.

 

46)by whose graceanimals are produced ,by whom whole world is occupied,worshiping him by his own karmas  man will attain siddhi

 

47)other dharma which is practiced (anustana)well  ,charecterlessown dharma is higher ,doing karmas fixed by nature  man will not get sin.

 

48)hey arjuna, natural karma even if had defects,is not to be left(rejected).as fire is covered by smoke all karmas are covered by defects.

 

49) one who is not interested in all karmas,has own mind, desireless person,that person  will attain naishkarmya siddhi  by sanyasa.

 

50) hey arjuna,one who has got siddhihow he will attainbrahma which is supreme sincirity of knowledge that you understand by me.s

 

51+52+53)having pure  intellect,controling oneself by firmness ,leaving matters like shabda(word,nada,sound) excetra (rupa rasa  smell ,touch),rejecting love and hatred,living   in pepleless placewith limited food,controling body mind speech.always  in dhyana yoga(meditations),depending on  disinterest(vyragya,dejection),leaving ego(pride,aham)strength ,pride,kama(lust),anger without any affection,prideful, to possess   brahma bhaava . 

 

54)one who has attained brahma bhaava(feel),who is pleasant mindedwill not be sorrowful.won’t desire,becoming equal in all animals   will have supreme  devotion in me.

 

55)through devotion he wil know  where he is  and who he is.through that   understanding  me as it is(yathaartha) enters me then only.

 

56)though doing all karmas one who depends upon me,by my grace will attain,permanent,irreducible,(avyaya) post(position).

 

57)dedicating all  karmas by intellect,doing  my parayana)(thinking  of me only)depending on intellect yoga,let your mind be in  me only always.

 

58)having mind in me,by my grace you will cross all durgas(forts,difficulties.if you don’t listen to me by ego you will be destroyed.

 

59)depending upon egoif you think’I don’t  make war’this your decision is  false.because nature stimulates you.

 

60)hey,arjuna,being bound by karmas born by your nature what you want to do with fascinationwill  do it without control

 

61)hey arjun like mechanised dolls   turning(rotating)  all animals

Thinking all animals like will do it in heart of all lives.

 

62) hey arjuna,surender to  him only who is self of  of all.(sarvathma).by his grace  you will attain   supreme peace ,permnent place.

 

63)like this ,secret  of sectrets knowledge is told  by me to you.analysing it fully, do as you like.(decide)

 

64) most of all secrets ,listen to my supreme words again.as you are very much like to me will tell  this favour.

 

65)have mind in me only.become my devotee.worship  me only,do namaskarams to me.you will join me only.it will take true oath.because you are lovable to me.

 

66)renunciating all  dharmas  surender to me only. I will relieve you from all sins. Don’t be sorrow.

 

67)  I have told this to you.this should not be told to penanceless(thaporahitha).it should never be told to  non devotee.it should not be told to one who is jealousy about me.

 

68)one who tells this supreme this  supreme secret among my devotees ,he by doing  supreme devotion  will get me only.no doubt in this.

 

69)among men ,nobody is lovable to me Than him.on earth more lovable  person will not be born.

 

70)dharmaful(full religious) our this conversation,who  studies it he also becoming liberated ,gets good world of  good deeds.

 

71)sincere(shraddha,interest)jealousyless,which person listens to this   he also becoming liberated will attain good world of  good doers.

 

72)hey partha,did you listen to this concebtration?hey dhananjaya is your fascination is out of ignorance,destroyed.

1)hey arjuna,this body is called kshethra.one who knows that is called ‘kshethrajna.’  This  Is told by known people.

 

2)hey arjuna,know  that I am kshethrajna who is in all fields(kshethras)this knowledge of kshethra –kshethrajna  itself is knowledge. This is my openion.

 

3)which is that kshethra ?and what kind it has?which change(vukara) it has? By which which happens?and who is he?what nature he has?hear all those from me briefly.

 

4)(kshethra-kshethrajna forms forms) rushies have sung in many ways.various meters(chandassus) have  have sung  differently.added with hethu(reasons)  and firm form brahmasuthras  have told.

 

5+6)five great elements(pancha maha bhuthas) ego(ahankara),intellect,avyaktha(unmanifest),,ten senses, and mind,five sense objects,desire,hatred bliss(joy),sorrow,sanghatha(…………….?), chethana(spirit) dhrithi(firmness)-this is kshethra.this which is associated with change(vikara)is told by me.

 

7)amanithva,adambhithva,non violence, kshanthi,aarjava,,acharya upasana(worship),,cleanliness boldness self control-

 

8)dejection (disinterest) with respect to sense objects,egolessness,,birth death old age disease sorrow-to see defects in these-

 

9)in wife house childern excetra,  no interest and indulgence thanmayathe………………….?),equal mindedness  forever when likes and dislikes  are got-

 

10)and in me with ananya yoga(uninequeness) avyabhichaari(undebatured) devotion,iving in peopleless place,,no love in mass of people-

 

11)sincirity in adhyathmiic knowledge,thoughts of meaning thathvajnana(philosophy)-these are told as jnana-one which is different from this  that is ignorance.

 

12)which is jneya,by knowing which  man gets amruthathva,,I will tell that.that is anadi(beginingless) parabrahma.that is not sath asath.

 

13)it has got hand and legs everywhere,has eyes  head mouths everywhere,has ears everywherewill be covering all in world.

 

14) that  jneya(to be known) in enlighting from all  character of senses.no all indrialess (sarvendriya  rahitha),uninterested, to all  aaspada(residence,chance,place…………..?),gunaless and enjoyer of gunas(thrigunas).

 

15)it is in and out of all animals.it is mooving and non mooving form,as it is very delicate it is difficult to understand.it is at distance .it is near also.

 

16)it is without any divisions,,in animals seems to be divided,.that jneya(to be known) is maintainer of all animals,killer,creater.s

 

17)that is light of lights.beyong thamas(dark) it has been told.that is knowledge’ to be known(jneya),can be entered by knowledge(jnanagamya) and resides in all’s hearts.

 

18)like this kshethra jnana,and jneya-these have been told in brief.my devotee knowingthis will be able to posses my feel.

 

 

19)know that prakruthi and purusha are  beginingless. Changes and gunas(charecterstics) are born by  nature.know this.

 

20)nature is cause of production of  body and senses. it is cause of experience of  joys and sorrows it is said.

 

21) purusha existing in prakruthi(nature) is experiencing  charecters taken birth from nature.to be born in good and bad wombs interest in gunas are cause.

 

22)the god(paramathma)in this body is witness.permiter(sanctioner,granter)

Is called husband(lord),enjoyer,maheshwara(great lord),and god(paramathma).

 

23)one who understands purusha with nature  along with gunas(charecters),will not take birth again however he may be.

 

24)few people see  athma in pure intellect  through meditation.again few by yoga(path of knowledge) and others by karmayoga.

 

25)some few without understanding athma like this,meditate(worship),by hearing from others.such shruthi hearers (shruthi parayana)also pass over death shortly.

 

26)hey arjuna,a thing produced in non mooving and mooving formthat is produced by union of kshethra and  kshethrajna.

 

27)equal in all animals ,non destructable  in temporary things,who sees  that paramathma (god) he will only see.

 

28)one who sees eshwara   equal n all places(everywhere)won’t destroy himself by himself.by this rason  he will get  supreme position.

 

29)by all means(kinds)  only prakruthi  itself will do  all karmas ,he himself is non-doer,who sees like this will  only see.

 

30)pruthakbhava of  of animals exists in one athma only  and by that onlyall these have expanded..one who sees like thisthen he will attain  brahma.

 

31)hey arjuna as it is beginingless,attributeless,this irreducible (avyaya)   this paramathma(god)  though present in body will not do any karma ,is not attached

(mirliptha)

 

32) how omnipresent  sky is delicate will not get attached in same way athma in all bodies is not attached.

 

33)hey arjuna,just like one sun enlighting whole world  in the same way kshethrajna enlightens all kshethras.

 

34)like this is differentiation of kshethra and kshethrajna and also  understands liberation of   animals(bhuthas) nature by eyes of  knowledge thus will attain brahma.

Chapter 14 gunathraya vibhaga yoga:

Sri krishna told:

1)by knowing which  all rushies(saints,sages) attained paramasiddhi(supreme achievement),among such knowledge I will reveal better and higher knowledge.

 

2)depending on this knowledge and who have same religion as  me(saadharmya) will not be born at creation time.won’t be disturbed(sorrowful)   at the time of  total destruction(pralaya).

 

3)hey arjuna,great prakruthi itself is  my yoni(vagina,womb).in that I place garbha(pregnancy)..by that all  animals are produced.

 

4)hey arjuna,which bodies are  are taking birth ,to them great (mahath)  nature  vagina.i am father who give seed.

 

5)hey mahabaho(great armed)  sathva rajas thamas  are three gunas  born by nature.they bind irreducible (avyaya) athma  in body.

 

6)hey sinless,,among them sathva is clean,therefore bright  anamaya(defectless,diseaseless).it binds athma in joyful relation and by knowledge relation.(jnana)

 

7) hey arjuna,thamo guna(character)  takes birth by ignorance(ajnana)  fascination in all animals.it binds athma  by mistake(pramada) ,laziness,and sleep.

 

8)hey arjuna,rajo guna is desireful.it makes thirst and relations it binds athma  by bondage of relation of karma.

 

9)hey arjuna,sathva guna produces  relation(friendship). With joy.rajo guna with karma..thamas guna covering knowledge(jnana) makes relation with mistakes.

 

10)hey arjuna,rejecting rajas and thamas sathva becomes  dominent..in the same way ,refusing sathva and rajas thamo guna  becomes dominent.

 

11)when in all sensory openings of body ,light of jnana (knowledge) is produced then we have to know that sathva guna has developed.

 

12)hey bharatha supreme,when rajo guna develops desire ,instincts(pravrutthi) karmas begin peacelessness  (ashama) and  attachment(soruha,desire)  are produced.

 

13)hey kurunandana when thamo guna develops,brightlessness,non instinct,mistakes, and fascination  these are produced.

 

14)when sathva guna develops  if body  wearer gets destroyed(dies)  then he will  will be born  among  better jnanies clean (dirtless) peoples.

 

15)when ajo guna develops, (body wearer) if gets destroyed  will be born among  people of  work interesteds(karma asakthi).when thamo guna develops ,one who is destroyed(dead) will be born in animal wombs.

 

16)for sathvika karma  clean sathvika results(fruits).fruit of rajas is  sorrow .result of thamas is ingnorance.

 

17)by sathva guna jnana (knowledge) is produced.by rajo guna  sdesire happens. By thamas mistake fascination ignorence is produced.

 

18)those people who are  in sathva guna  go above.rajoguna people stand in middle. From thamo guna  goes below.

 

19) when seer  does not see another doer  than gunas and when knows another   (opposite)other than gunas then he will have  my feel(bhava).

 

20)body wearer,going beyond three gunaswhich are cause of body production,being left from both,death old age sorrows,will attain amruthathva.

 

 

21) Arjuna told:

hey lord,one who has crossed beyond these three gunasis charecterised by which signs?what is his behavior?and how he overcrosses  these three gunas?

 

Sri krishna told:

22) hey arjuna,one who does not hate  even if brightness,instinct,fascinations comes,does not want even if  goes.

 

23)who being not disturbed by gunas and in negligence’gunas play or behave.’,thigks like  thisand does not moov.

 

23)who is not disturbed by gunasand is negligent,who knows ‘gunas play or behave’who knows this ,without mooving-

 

24who is equal in joys and sorrowshealthy,who sees stone, soil and gold equally

Whi is equal in likes and dislikes,valient,,who is equal in appreciation and blame-

 

25)who has equal mind in honour and dishonour,who is equal minded in  friend’s and enemy’s parties,who has left all karmas,he is called gunatheetha.

 

26)onwe who serves me with loneliness devotion yoga(bhakthi yoga),he going beyond these gunas(crossing) ,will be able to attain brahma bhaava(feel.).

 

27)because  I am supportive  to avyaya(irreducible)  amrutha (deathless) brahma,for loneliness joy.

Chapter 15  purushotthama yoga:

 

sri krishna told:

1)base (root ) above,branches below ashvath tree is indestructable (avyaya) as scriptures tell.it’s leaves are meters(chandassus).who knows them he knows vedas. 

 

2)grown up by gunas(charecters),having buds of sense objects,,it’s branches have spread above and below.in human world karma related  roots  have spread below.

 

3+4)in this family it’s form    is not according to above siad fact.it has no beginning middle end.well rooted this ashvath tree  cuting by   firm  weapon of  asanga(friendlessness,detachment),later  by joining which will not return that post should be searched. By whom  this ancient family has arised I will surender to that  worshipable purusha only.

 

5)one  who has no ego and fascination,who have won defect called ‘interest’,eternal adhyathmies ,have left all kamas,left by duals(dvandvas) of joy sorrow,those intellectswill attain that irreducible(undestructive,avyaya)  post.

 

6)sun won’t enlighten it.,not moon or fire will enlighten.,by possessing which will not return  that itself is my high position.

 

7)ancient my fraction  only in family as jiva attracts mind and sense organs  whigh are in prakruthi.

 

8)when jiva attains body and when leaves and goes then-air carrying  fragrances away from their place- carries away senses.

 

9)this jiva  enjoys sense  objects depending upon eye,skin,tongue,nose  and mind-.

10)while leaving body,,while staying in body onlyor while enjoying sense objects  or when joined with gunas this jiva can’t be seen by dullards,jnanies see.

 

11)yogies who are trying,see that  this athma is existing in  them.those who have not done what is to be done(not yet attained,)avivakies(inability to decide good and bad ,right and wrong) even though they try can’t see.

 

12)the brightness which includes sun is enlighting whole world.which light(thejas,brightness)  is in moonwhich thejas(brightness) is in fire,know that thejas(bright) is  mine.

 

13)myself entering earth wearing animals by ojas.as main rasa form moon support all vanaspathies(plants).

 

14)i depending upon (stomach fire) of all animals ,with prana and apaana  make to  digest four kinds of foods(anna,rice)

 

15) I am in-dweller(antharyami),in everybody’s  heart.mempry(smruthi).knowledge ,their removal(retirement) happen by me only. I am to be known by all vedas.one who have done vedantha ,vedas knower is myself only.

 

16)in this world two persuns(purushas) are famous.kshara means all animals..akshara is kutastha(firm,non mooving)

 

17)but  peculear than  kshara and akshara  purushotthama is told  god(paramathma). This avyaya(irreducible,destructionless) eshwara entering three worlds is wearing.

 

18)i am beyond kshara ,better than akshara.(beyond both kshara and akshara).therefore in  world and vedas  I am famous as purushotthama.

 

19) hey arjuna,who without becoming dullard understands me as purushotthama that omniscient  worships me with all feels(sarva bhaava).

 

20)hey sinless  arjuna ,like this is very secret thas scripture(shaastra) is told by me. Knowing this   man becomes  intelligent and kruthakruthya(what is to be done is done).

1 to 3)hey arjuna,fearlessness,purity of inner mind jnanayoga  arrangement(vyavasthithi………?),,donation,dama(control of mind),yajna(sacrifice),study of   vedas(vedadhyayana),penance(thapassu),simplicity,,non violence,truth,angerlessness,rebunciation (thyaga),peace,not to tell false allegation(chaadi),,kindness in animals,non desire for sense objects,,soft nature,,shyness,lack    of  fickleness,thejas(brightness),excuse,boldness,cleabliness,non traiting,lack of ego –these charecters  are prouced in divine characters.  (divine treasures).

 

4)hey arjuna,over pride,dominance,ego,anger,harsh speech and   ignorence and ignorance these charecters are produced in  those who are born for demon(asuri)  treasure.

 

5)divine treasure is for liberation ,demon treasure is for bondage it is my openion.hey arjuna ,don’t be sorrowful.you are born for  divine treasure only.

 

6)hey arjuna,in this world  there are two types of  humam creations.divine creation  has been explained in detail.now demon(asura,non divine)  will be told by me.

 

7)demon(asuri)  nautred  people  don’t know  instinct(hobby)  or retirement.in them there is no cleanliness(shoucha),no bahavior,no truth.

 

8)this world is false,not established(non existant),eshwaraless,,produced by union of female and male;what more?lust only is cause of creation –they tell like this.

 

9) depending upon this openion loss self(nastathma) ,less intellects,,cruel workers(krura karmies) world enemies are ,this demon natured  people are cause of  world destruction.

 

10)depending on unsatisfiable lust joined with overpride,honour ,show by fascination  holding bad  decisions behave uncleanly.(ashuchi).

 

11+12)depending upon worry which  can’t be  known  (immeasureble) destructive(pralayaanthaka),as enjoyers of lust,having decided this much only,

,being bound by hundreds of ropes of desires,being  followers of lust and anger,for enjoyment of kama(desires lust) try to  accumulate   unjustified money.

 

13)today this was got by me.i will get thay desire of mind. This money I have.i will get this money also.

 

14)this enemy has been killed by me.i will kill other enemies also.i am eshwara ,enjoyer,,siddha, strong, and happy person.

 

15+16)I am rich in money  and born in good family.who is equal to me.i will perform sacrifice.(yajna).i will donate. I will enjoy-thinking like this being fascinated by ignorance,,being illused by many  many worries,being covered by  fascination net,interested in lust,(desire,kama)enjoyment fall in unclean hell.

 

17)self gentlemen,,firm(stagnant) added with money ,honour ,pride,without folloing rules,for name sake only they will perform sacrifices(yajnas).

 

18)ego (aham),strength,dominance, lust(kama)and anger-depending on these hate me  who is in  in their own and other’s   bodies. Will be jealousy.

 

19)like this people who hate me that cruel ,sin doers,,lower people I will put in asuri(demon.non divine) womb.(vagina, uterus)

 

20)hey arjuna fools(dullards) who have non divine birthin every birth,without getting me will have  still lower  status(fate).

 

21)these three hell doors kama(lust),anger,and desire are  cause of self destruction.therefore they  should be left.

 

22)hey arjuna ,man left by these  three thamas doors  will make his development..by that he will get supreme post.

 

23)who leaving rulesof vedalives freely,he will not get purushartha fitness(eligibility).will not get happiness,,no supreme state.

 

24)therefore,in deciding work and non work(good and bad work)scriptures are only evidence.learning what is told in scriptures  rulesyou will become eligible to  do karmas  here.

Chapter 17 shraddha thraya   vibhaga   yoga.(  three shraddhas  division yoga):

 

Arjuna told:

1)hey  krishna,who leaving scriptural rules,worship( gods)what is their sincirity(shraddha).sathvika or rajasikaor thamasika?

 

 sri krishna told

2)born by  predisposition (samskara)ofprevious life of persons(bodied)  that shraddha is divided  into three kinds.saathvika raajasa thamasa.

 

3)hey arjuna,everybody’s shraddha(interest,sincirity) according to their   inner mind(anthahkarana).this purusha is shraddhamaya(one who has sincirity). One who has which sincirity he will be according to  that shraddha(sincirity,interest).

 

4)sathvikas worship gods..rajasikas worship yakshas and demons..other thamasika people worship prethas abnd bhuthas(ghosts devils) groups.

 

5+6)which people added with pride(show off) egos   added with lust raga(love)strengths  as avivekies(inability to decide what is right and wrong)Will be disturbing  me and also sensory groups  in the body.and those who are doing severe penance out of scriptural rules know such people are of asuri(demon,non divine) intellect.

 

7)food is also of three kinds according to differentiation of  sathva raja thama.

Like that yajna(sacrifice),penance ,donation,-these are  of three kinds.listen to their these differences.

 

8)longevity,sathva(goodness), strength,health,joy love-increasing these  rasa food(rasaful)smooth,firm,heart loving foods are lovable to  saathvikas.

 

9)very bitter sour saltish  hot,severe,dried ,thirst makingsorrow grief producingfoods are desirable to  rajasa person.

 

10)little matured,rasaless(tasteless), odourful(foul smelling) ,rotten,,left,unfit for yajna,,such food is desirable to  thamasika(thamasful) persons.

 

11)’one who does not desire for fruit(rsult)fixing mind to do yajna ‘yajna should be done’ which scripture  accepted jajna that is saathvika

 

12) but hey arjuna,with expectation of result , yajna which is done for show off(damba) that is rajasa ,understand.

 

13)scripture   rulesless ,without fooddonationmanthraless,dakshinsless,,interestless,sincirityless, that yajna is told thamasa.

 

14)gods brahmana s gurus jnanies worship cleanliness,aarjava(…………….?),celibacy(brahmacharya) ,non violance are  called body penance.

 

15)motionless true lovable favourable  sentences and study of self branch  are called  verbal(speech) penance.

 

16)pleasantness of mind, soft feel silence mind control, purity of feel –these are –these are called mental penance.

 

17)without expectetion of results, peaceful people practiced by supeme sincirity tht three kinds of penance  are called sathvika penance.

 

18)penance which is done for show off ,for sake of homours,,hospitality,worship,,mooving and temporal(anithya) here is called  rajasa.

 

19) disturbing to oneself  by dull intellect(foolishness),penance which is done for others destruction is ,that is called thamasa.

 

20)donation which is given for the sake of donationwhich is given to person being unable to rehelp (in return)n place ,time,and fitness (siutability) such donation is called ‘sathvika’.

 

21)but the donation which is done  with expectation of  with expectation of help in relation with  sorrow(klesha) that donation is rajasa.

 

22)which donation  given in that placw=e and time to unfit people without hospitality(honour) with negligence,this is called thamasa.

 

23)”om thath sath” three kinds of names have been told to brahma through it previously brahmins,yajnas ,vedas have become fit.

 

24) therefore brahmavadies (brahma arguers)   reciting ‘om’start  as  acceptable to scriptures(shasthras),yajna (sacrifice) karmas, penance  and donation works.

 

25)moksha (liberation)   desirers    telling ‘thath’ without  epecting returns jajna activities,,penance processes  and donation activities.

 

26) hey arjuna ,in good feel(sadbhaava),,in saadhu bhava  (feel) also’  this sath is used. In similar way in good(welfare)  karmas  also word’sath’ is used.’

 

27)in yajna(sacrifice)  donation,penance,what existence  is present it is called ‘sath’ and the work done for that  also is called’sath’.

 

28)hey partha,sacrifice(homa)  done without interest(sincirity) ,donation,penance,and karmas(works) all these are called ‘asath’.even after death also  it is not cause offruits(results).here also it is not cause of happiness.

 

Chapter  17 shraddha thraya vibhaga yoga completed.

Chapter 18,moksha sanyasa yoga.:

 

Arjuna told:

1)Hey great armed,hrushikesha ,keshinishudana,   I desire  to know principles (thathva) of  sanyasa and   renunciation seperately.

 

Sri   krishna told

2) some scholars  know sanyasa as  rnunciation of kaamya karmas.(desiring karmas).other few jnanies tell renunciation of  fruits of all karmas as renunciation

 

3)as karmas are defectful    should be left  and again few tell  yajna, donation, penance,karmas  are not to be left.

 

4)hey bharaha shresta,hear my decision regarding renunciation.hey purusha lion renunciation is of three kinds.is told in scriptures.

 

5)yajna ,donation penance these  karmas are not to be left..should be done.yajna,donation,and penance are holy to manieshies(munies)

 

6)but hey partha, and leaving interest  and these karmas  should be done.this is my  decided better openion.

 

7)but renunciaton of daily karmas is not proper.if you renunciate then by fascination is called is called thamasika.

 

8)who by fear of strain of body ,renunciating  karma ,thinking  them as sorrowful  only.he is doing rajasika renunciation will not have fruit of  genunciation.

 

9)hey arjuna,which daily karma  is doneis done thinking as duty leaving interest and fruits(results) such renunciation is sathvika..this is my openion.

 

10)intellect(medhavi),doubtless,sathvika renunciater does not hate interested karmas(kaamyakarmas).will not get interest in daily karmas.

 

11) because by body wearer it is not possible to leave karmas completely.who is (not interested ) in karma fruits who renunciates  ,he himself is renunciater.

 

12)bad desirable mixed these three karma results for non renunciaters ,after body death.but for saints  will never happen.

 

13)hey great armed(maha bahu), for siddhas(achieved)of all karmas five causes have been  told in vedantha.know them by me.

 

14) adhistana(base?),doer(karthru) many kinds of sense organs (karanas) and varieties of different works,among these  god(divine) is fifth.

 

15)by body,speech,mind- starts karmas which   are justified or unjustified.for that these are five causes.

 

16)when there  it is like that  who by by uncultured intellect(asamskrutha  buddhi)  knows only  athma is doer  that bad intellect won’t see.

 

17)one who does not have feeling  I am doerwhose intellect is not attached,he even if he kills   worlds,will not be killed nor binded

 

18)jnana (knowledge)  jneya(to be known),  jnathru(knower)-these are three prpmoters(pravarthaka)  ofkarma.karma  collections are of three kinds organ(karana) karma(work) doer(karthru).

 

19)jnana(knowledge) ,karma(work,rituals),doerthese three are by differentiation of sathva excetra as told in kapila scripture.listen to them  they are.

 

20)different in all bhuthas(animals) ,undivided,,irreducible(avyaya) ,single athma by which he sees   such jnana is sathvika .know this.

 

21)that knowledge(jnana)  is rajasa which understands various athmasin different forms in all animals.

 

22) but which knowledge totally  interested  in single work,causeless,which has no definite meaning,lower,that is thamasa it is said.

 

23)without   desire for it’s fruit, without hatred and love,daily done,interestless ,which karma is there  that is called sathvika.

 

24)but one who has desire of fruits(returns)and pride(egoful ),attached with very much strain,that work is rajasa.

 

25)bondage,reduction,,violence,power,without enquiery, which karma is startedwith fascination  that is told’thamasa’.

 

26)without expectationof fruit(returns) without pride of ‘myself’added with firmness and enthusiasm,unchanged by(in) siddhi and asiddhi,that doer is called sathvika.

 

27)interested ,desirer of fruits of fruits of karmas,miser,having violence nature,unclean, added with joy and sorrows,that doer is called ‘rajasika’.

 

28)one who has no balanced mind(equanimity of mind)uncultured intellect,one who does not promise to anybody,magician(mayaavi) one who destroys others profesion,unindustrial(anudyamasheela),,condolenceful,deerghasuthri(long thread holder?),that doer is called ‘thamasa’.

 

29)that knowledge is  rajasa   which understands various athmas  in different forms in all animals.

 

30) hey arjuna, pravrutthi(instinct) and retirement,good works and bad works fear non fear, bondage and liberation  which  understands ,that intellect  is sathvika.

 

31)hey arjuna,religion   and non religion(ethics and non ethics) , work and nonwork,by which one  does not  understand as they are(yathartha)that intellect  is  rajasika.

 

32)which is covered by thamas,understands adharma as dharma,,which understands  in excess all things,which are to be known that intellect is thamasa.

 

33)hey arjuna, man through yoga which unadultrated(ubdebatured,avyabhichari) firmnessmind prana and sense organsholds actions of these that firmness is sathvika

 

34) hey arjuna ,desirer of fruit(results) with very much interestby which firmness holds dharma(duty,ethics)artha(money) kama(lust)and liberation,that firmness is rajasika.

 

35)hey arjuna,wicked minded,by which firmness, won’t leave  these  sleep,fear,grief,condolence(vishada),pride-that firmness (dhrithi) is thamasika.

 

36+37)hey bharatha shresta,listen from me three kinds of joys(happinesses)

Man through long practice plays in which joy and gets sorrow reduced(abolished) which joy first  appears as poisonand like amritha at end-produced by grace of athma buddhi-that joy is sathvika  know.

 

38)by union of objects and senses which joy first amrutha like  at the end like poison   that joy is rajasika it has been told.

 

39)which joy appears  fascinating both at  beginning and end produced  bysleep laziness mistakes that joy is called  thamasa

 

40)being releived by these three gunas animal group  wheather  on earth or in  heavenly gods  not present.

 

41)hey arjuna,brahmana –kshathriya-vyshya-shudra  as their karmas are nature born by birth charecters is divided.

 

42)peace coolness,control of mind,penance,cleanliness ,arjava(………………….?)

Knowledge ,science,athiest(asthikya bhaava) feel-these are karmas of brahmana,produced by nature.

 

43)valience,praagalbhya,,firmness ,efficiency in work,not to run away in war,donation,lordship, these are kshathriyas.

 

44) agriculture ,protection of cattles,and trade(business)-these are  karmas  produced by  nature of vyshya.service form of karma is natural to shudra.

 

45)one who indulges in his own karmas will attain good siddhies. One who is engaged in his own dharma hoew he will get siddhi   listen  to them.

 

46)by whose graceanimals are produced ,by whom whole world is occupied,worshiping him by his own karmas  man will attain siddhi

 

47)other dharma which is practiced (anustana)well  ,charecterlessown dharma is higher ,doing karmas fixed by nature  man will not get sin.

 

48)hey arjuna, natural karma even if had defects,is not to be left(rejected).as fire is covered by smoke all karmas are covered by defects.

 

49) one who is not interested in all karmas,has own mind, desireless person,that person  will attain naishkarmya siddhi  by sanyasa.

 

50) hey arjuna,one who has got siddhihow he will attainbrahma which is supreme sincirity of knowledge that you understand by me.s

 

51+52+53)having pure  intellect,controling oneself by firmness ,leaving matters like shabda(word,nada,sound) excetra (rupa rasa  smell ,touch),rejecting love and hatred,living   in pepleless placewith limited food,controling body mind speech.always  in dhyana yoga(meditations),depending on  disinterest(vyragya,dejection),leaving ego(pride,aham)strength ,pride,kama(lust),anger without any affection,prideful, to possess   brahma bhaava . 

 

54)one who has attained brahma bhaava(feel),who is pleasant mindedwill not be sorrowful.won’t desire,becoming equal in all animals   will have supreme  devotion in me.

 

55)through devotion he wil know  where he is  and who he is.through that   understanding  me as it is(yathaartha) enters me then only.

 

56)though doing all karmas one who depends upon me,by my grace will attain,permanent,irreducible,(avyaya) post(position).

 

57)dedicating all  karmas by intellect,doing  my parayana)(thinking  of me only)depending on intellect yoga,let your mind be in  me only always.

 

58)having mind in me,by my grace you will cross all durgas(forts,difficulties.if you don’t listen to me by ego you will be destroyed.

 

59)depending upon egoif you think’I don’t  make war’this your decision is  false.because nature stimulates you.

 

60)hey,arjuna,being bound by karmas born by your nature what you want to do with fascinationwill  do it without control

 

61)hey arjun like mechanised dolls   turning(rotating)  all animals

Thinking all animals like will do it in heart of all lives.

 

62) hey arjuna,surender to  him only who is self of  of all.(sarvathma).by his grace  you will attain   supreme peace ,permnent place.

 

63)like this ,secret  of sectrets knowledge is told  by me to you.analysing it fully, do as you like.(decide)

 

64) most of all secrets ,listen to my supreme words again.as you are very much like to me will tell  this favour.

 

65)have mind in me only.become my devotee.worship  me only,do namaskarams to me.you will join me only.it will take true oath.because you are lovable to me.

 

66)renunciating all  dharmas  surender to me only. I will relieve you from all sins. Don’t be sorrow.

 

67)  I have told this to you.this should not be told to penanceless(thaporahitha).it should never be told to  non devotee.it should not be told to one who is jealousy about me.

 

68)one who tells this supreme this  supreme secret among my devotees ,he by doing  supreme devotion  will get me only.no doubt in this.

 

69)among men ,nobody is lovable to me Than him.on earth more lovable  person will not be born.

 

70)dharmaful(full religious) our this conversation,who  studies it he also becoming liberated ,gets good world of  good deeds.

 

71)sincere(shraddha,interest)jealousyless,which person listens to this   he also becoming liberated will attain good world of  good doers.

Chapter 13.kshethra kshethrajna yoga:

1)hey arjuna,this body is called kshethra.one who knows that is called ‘kshethrajna.’  This  Is told by known people.

 

2)hey arjuna,know  that I am kshethrajna who is in all fields(kshethras)this knowledge of kshethra –kshethrajna  itself is knowledge. This is my openion.

 

3)which is that kshethra ?and what kind it has?which change(vukara) it has? By which which happens?and who is he?what nature he has?hear all those from me briefly.

 

4)(kshethra-kshethrajna forms forms) rushies have sung in many ways.various meters(chandassus) have  have sung  differently.added with hethu(reasons)  and firm form brahmasuthras  have told.

 

5+6)five great elements(pancha maha bhuthas) ego(ahankara),intellect,avyaktha(unmanifest),,ten senses, and mind,five sense objects,desire,hatred bliss(joy),sorrow,sanghatha(…………….?), chethana(spirit) dhrithi(firmness)-this is kshethra.this which is associated with change(vikara)is told by me.

 

7)amanithva,adambhithva,non violence, kshanthi,aarjava,,acharya upasana(worship),,cleanliness boldness self control-

 

8)dejection (disinterest) with respect to sense objects,egolessness,,birth death old age disease sorrow-to see defects in these-

 

9)in wife house childern excetra,  no interest and indulgence thanmayathe………………….?),equal mindedness  forever when likes and dislikes  are got-

 

10)and in me with ananya yoga(uninequeness) avyabhichaari(undebatured) devotion,iving in peopleless place,,no love in mass of people-

 

11)sincirity in adhyathmiic knowledge,thoughts of meaning thathvajnana(philosophy)-these are told as jnana-one which is different from this  that is ignorance.

 

12)which is jneya,by knowing which  man gets amruthathva,,I will tell that.that is anadi(beginingless) parabrahma.that is not sath asath.

 

13)it has got hand and legs everywhere,has eyes  head mouths everywhere,has ears everywherewill be covering all in world.

 

14) that  jneya(to be known) in enlighting from all  character of senses.no all indrialess (sarvendriya  rahitha),uninterested, to all  aaspada(residence,chance,place…………..?),gunaless and enjoyer of gunas(thrigunas).

 

15)it is in and out of all animals.it is mooving and non mooving form,as it is very delicate it is difficult to understand.it is at distance .it is near also.

 

16)it is without any divisions,,in animals seems to be divided,.that jneya(to be known) is maintainer of all animals,killer,creater.s

 

17)that is light of lights.beyong thamas(dark) it has been told.that is knowledge’ to be known(jneya),can be entered by knowledge(jnanagamya) and resides in all’s hearts.

 

18)like this kshethra jnana,and jneya-these have been told in brief.my devotee knowingthis will be able to posses my feel.

 

 

19)know that prakruthi and purusha are  beginingless. Changes and gunas(charecterstics) are born by  nature.know this.

 

20)nature is cause of production of  body and senses. it is cause of experience of  joys and sorrows it is said.

 

21) purusha existing in prakruthi(nature) is experiencing  charecters taken birth from nature.to be born in good and bad wombs interest in gunas are cause.

 

22)the god(paramathma)in this body is witness.permiter(sanctioner,granter)

Is called husband(lord),enjoyer,maheshwara(great lord),and god(paramathma).

 

23)one who understands purusha with nature  along with gunas(charecters),will not take birth again however he may be.

 

24)few people see  athma in pure intellect  through meditation.again few by yoga(path of knowledge) and others by karmayoga.

 

25)some few without understanding athma like this,meditate(worship),by hearing from others.such shruthi hearers (shruthi parayana)also pass over death shortly.

 

26)hey arjuna,a thing produced in non mooving and mooving formthat is produced by union of kshethra and  kshethrajna.

 

27)equal in all animals ,non destructable  in temporary things,who sees  that paramathma (god) he will only see.

 

28)one who sees eshwara   equal n all places(everywhere)won’t destroy himself by himself.by this rason  he will get  supreme position.

 

29)by all means(kinds)  only prakruthi  itself will do  all karmas ,he himself is non-doer,who sees like this will  only see.

 

30)pruthakbhava of  of animals exists in one athma only  and by that onlyall these have expanded..one who sees like thisthen he will attain  brahma.

 

31)hey arjuna as it is beginingless,attributeless,this irreducible (avyaya)   this paramathma(god)  though present in body will not do any karma ,is not attached

(mirliptha)

 

32) how omnipresent  sky is delicate will not get attached in same way athma in all bodies is not attached.

 

33)hey arjuna,just like one sun enlighting whole world  in the same way kshethrajna enlightens all kshethras.

 

34)like this is differentiation of kshethra and kshethrajna and also  understands liberation of   animals(bhuthas) nature by eyes of  knowledge thus will attain brahma.

 

Chapter 13 kshethra kshethrajna yoga is completed

Chapter 14 gunathraya vibhaga yoga:

Sri krishna told:

1)by knowing which  all rushies(saints,sages) attained paramasiddhi(supreme achievement),among such knowledge I will reveal better and higher knowledge.

 

2)depending on this knowledge and who have same religion as  me(saadharmya) will not be born at creation time.won’t be disturbed(sorrowful)   at the time of  total destruction(pralaya).

 

3)hey arjuna,great prakruthi itself is  my yoni(vagina,womb).in that I place garbha(pregnancy)..by that all  animals are produced.

 

4)hey arjuna,which bodies are  are taking birth ,to them great (mahath)  nature  vagina.i am father who give seed.

 

5)hey mahabaho(great armed)  sathva rajas thamas  are three gunas  born by nature.they bind irreducible (avyaya) athma  in body.

 

6)hey sinless,,among them sathva is clean,therefore bright  anamaya(defectless,diseaseless).it binds athma in joyful relation and by knowledge relation.(jnana)

 

7) hey arjuna,thamo guna(character)  takes birth by ignorance(ajnana)  fascination in all animals.it binds athma  by mistake(pramada) ,laziness,and sleep.

 

8)hey arjuna,rajo guna is desireful.it makes thirst and relations it binds athma  by bondage of relation of karma.

 

9)hey arjuna,sathva guna produces  relation(friendship). With joy.rajo guna with karma..thamas guna covering knowledge(jnana) makes relation with mistakes.

 

10)hey arjuna,rejecting rajas and thamas sathva becomes  dominent..in the same way ,refusing sathva and rajas thamo guna  becomes dominent.

 

11)when in all sensory openings of body ,light of jnana (knowledge) is produced then we have to know that sathva guna has developed.

 

12)hey bharatha supreme,when rajo guna develops desire ,instincts(pravrutthi) karmas begin peacelessness  (ashama) and  attachment(soruha,desire)  are produced.

 

13)hey kurunandana when thamo guna develops,brightlessness,non instinct,mistakes, and fascination  these are produced.

 

14)when sathva guna develops  if body  wearer gets destroyed(dies)  then he will  will be born  among  better jnanies clean (dirtless) peoples.

 

15)when ajo guna develops, (body wearer) if gets destroyed  will be born among  people of  work interesteds(karma asakthi).when thamo guna develops ,one who is destroyed(dead) will be born in animal wombs.

 

16)for sathvika karma  clean sathvika results(fruits).fruit of rajas is  sorrow .result of thamas is ingnorance.

 

17)by sathva guna jnana (knowledge) is produced.by rajo guna  sdesire happens. By thamas mistake fascination ignorence is produced.

 

18)those people who are  in sathva guna  go above.rajoguna people stand in middle. From thamo guna  goes below.

 

19) when seer  does not see another doer  than gunas and when knows another   (opposite)other than gunas then he will have  my feel(bhava).

 

20)body wearer,going beyond three gunaswhich are cause of body production,being left from both,death old age sorrows,will attain amruthathva.

 

 

21) Arjuna told:

hey lord,one who has crossed beyond these three gunasis charecterised by which signs?what is his behavior?and how he overcrosses  these three gunas?

 

Sri krishna told:

22) hey arjuna,one who does not hate  even if brightness,instinct,fascinations comes,does not want even if  goes.

 

23)who being not disturbed by gunas and in negligence’gunas play or behave.’,thigks like  thisand does not moov.

 

23)who is not disturbed by gunasand is negligent,who knows ‘gunas play or behave’who knows this ,without mooving-

 

24who is equal in joys and sorrowshealthy,who sees stone, soil and gold equally

Whi is equal in likes and dislikes,valient,,who is equal in appreciation and blame-

 

25)who has equal mind in honour and dishonour,who is equal minded in  friend’s and enemy’s parties,who has left all karmas,he is called gunatheetha.

 

26)onwe who serves me with loneliness devotion yoga(bhakthi yoga),he going beyond these gunas(crossing) ,will be able to attain brahma bhaava(feel.).

 

27)because  I am supportive  to avyaya(irreducible)  amrutha (deathless) brahma,for loneliness joy.

 

Chapter 14 ‘gunathraya yoga ‘completed.

Chapter 15  purushotthama yoga:

 

sri krishna told:

1)base (root ) above,branches below ashvath tree is indestructable (avyaya) as scriptures tell.it’s leaves are meters(chandassus).who knows them he knows vedas. 

 

2)grown up by gunas(charecters),having buds of sense objects,,it’s branches have spread above and below.in human world karma related  roots  have spread below.

 

3+4)in this family it’s form    is not according to above siad fact.it has no beginning middle end.well rooted this ashvath tree  cuting by   firm  weapon of  asanga(friendlessness,detachment),later  by joining which will not return that post should be searched. By whom  this ancient family has arised I will surender to that  worshipable purusha only.

 

5)one  who has no ego and fascination,who have won defect called ‘interest’,eternal adhyathmies ,have left all kamas,left by duals(dvandvas) of joy sorrow,those intellectswill attain that irreducible(undestructive,avyaya)  post.

 

6)sun won’t enlighten it.,not moon or fire will enlighten.,by possessing which will not return  that itself is my high position.

 

7)ancient my fraction  only in family as jiva attracts mind and sense organs  whigh are in prakruthi.

 

8)when jiva attains body and when leaves and goes then-air carrying  fragrances away from their place- carries away senses.

 

9)this jiva  enjoys sense  objects depending upon eye,skin,tongue,nose  and mind-.

10)while leaving body,,while staying in body onlyor while enjoying sense objects  or when joined with gunas this jiva can’t be seen by dullards,jnanies see.

 

11)yogies who are trying,see that  this athma is existing in  them.those who have not done what is to be done(not yet attained,)avivakies(inability to decide good and bad ,right and wrong) even though they try can’t see.

 

12)the brightness which includes sun is enlighting whole world.which light(thejas,brightness)  is in moonwhich thejas(brightness) is in fire,know that thejas(bright) is  mine.

 

13)myself entering earth wearing animals by ojas.as main rasa form moon support all vanaspathies(plants).

 

14)i depending upon (stomach fire) of all animals ,with prana and apaana  make to  digest four kinds of foods(anna,rice)

 

15) I am in-dweller(antharyami),in everybody’s  heart.mempry(smruthi).knowledge ,their removal(retirement) happen by me only. I am to be known by all vedas.one who have done vedantha ,vedas knower is myself only.

 

16)in this world two persuns(purushas) are famous.kshara means all animals..akshara is kutastha(firm,non mooving)

 

17)but  peculear than  kshara and akshara  purushotthama is told  god(paramathma). This avyaya(irreducible,destructionless) eshwara entering three worlds is wearing.

 

18)i am beyond kshara ,better than akshara.(beyond both kshara and akshara).therefore in  world and vedas  I am famous as purushotthama.

 

19) hey arjuna,who without becoming dullard understands me as purushotthama that omniscient  worships me with all feels(sarva bhaava).

 

20)hey sinless  arjuna ,like this is very secret thas scripture(shaastra) is told by me. Knowing this   man becomes  intelligent and kruthakruthya(what is to be done is done).

Chapter no 15   purushotthama yoga  completed.

Chapter 16)daivasura sampadvibhaga yoga:

1 to 3)hey arjuna,fearlessness,purity of inner mind jnanayoga  arrangement(vyavasthithi………?),,donation,dama(control of mind),yajna(sacrifice),study of   vedas(vedadhyayana),penance(thapassu),simplicity,,non violence,truth,angerlessness,rebunciation (thyaga),peace,not to tell false allegation(chaadi),,kindness in animals,non desire for sense objects,,soft nature,,shyness,lack    of  fickleness,thejas(brightness),excuse,boldness,cleabliness,non traiting,lack of ego –these charecters  are prouced in divine characters.  (divine treasures).

 

4)hey arjuna,over pride,dominance,ego,anger,harsh speech and   ignorence and ignorance these charecters are produced in  those who are born for demon(asuri)  treasure.

 

5)divine treasure is for liberation ,demon treasure is for bondage it is my openion.hey arjuna ,don’t be sorrowful.you are born for  divine treasure only.

 

6)hey arjuna,in this world  there are two types of  humam creations.divine creation  has been explained in detail.now demon(asura,non divine)  will be told by me.

 

7)demon(asuri)  nautred  people  don’t know  instinct(hobby)  or retirement.in them there is no cleanliness(shoucha),no bahavior,no truth.

 

8)this world is false,not established(non existant),eshwaraless,,produced by union of female and male;what more?lust only is cause of creation –they tell like this.

 

9) depending upon this openion loss self(nastathma) ,less intellects,,cruel workers(krura karmies) world enemies are ,this demon natured  people are cause of  world destruction.

 

10)depending on unsatisfiable lust joined with overpride,honour ,show by fascination  holding bad  decisions behave uncleanly.(ashuchi).

 

11+12)depending upon worry which  can’t be  known  (immeasureble) destructive(pralayaanthaka),as enjoyers of lust,having decided this much only,

,being bound by hundreds of ropes of desires,being  followers of lust and anger,for enjoyment of kama(desires lust) try to  accumulate   unjustified money.

 

13)today this was got by me.i will get thay desire of mind. This money I have.i will get this money also.

 

14)this enemy has been killed by me.i will kill other enemies also.i am eshwara ,enjoyer,,siddha, strong, and happy person.

 

15+16)I am rich in money  and born in good family.who is equal to me.i will perform sacrifice.(yajna).i will donate. I will enjoy-thinking like this being fascinated by ignorance,,being illused by many  many worries,being covered by  fascination net,interested in lust,(desire,kama)enjoyment fall in unclean hell.

 

17)self gentlemen,,firm(stagnant) added with money ,honour ,pride,without folloing rules,for name sake only they will perform sacrifices(yajnas).

 

18)ego (aham),strength,dominance, lust(kama)and anger-depending on these hate me  who is in  in their own and other’s   bodies. Will be jealousy.

 

19)like this people who hate me that cruel ,sin doers,,lower people I will put in asuri(demon.non divine) womb.(vagina, uterus)

 

20)hey arjuna fools(dullards) who have non divine birthin every birth,without getting me will have  still lower  status(fate).

 

21)these three hell doors kama(lust),anger,and desire are  cause of self destruction.therefore they  should be left.

 

22)hey arjuna ,man left by these  three thamas doors  will make his development..by that he will get supreme post.

 

23)who leaving rulesof vedalives freely,he will not get purushartha fitness(eligibility).will not get happiness,,no supreme state.

 

24)therefore,in deciding work and non work(good and bad work)scriptures are only evidence.learning what is told in scriptures  rulesyou will become eligible to  do karmas  here.

Chapter 17 shraddha thraya   vibhaga   yoga.(  three shraddhas  division yoga):

 

Arjuna told:

1)hey  krishna,who leaving scriptural rules,worship( gods)what is their sincirity(shraddha).sathvika or rajasikaor thamasika?

 

 sri krishna told

2)born by  predisposition (samskara)ofprevious life of persons(bodied)  that shraddha is divided  into three kinds.saathvika raajasa thamasa.

 

3)hey arjuna,everybody’s shraddha(interest,sincirity) according to their   inner mind(anthahkarana).this purusha is shraddhamaya(one who has sincirity). One who has which sincirity he will be according to  that shraddha(sincirity,interest).

 

4)sathvikas worship gods..rajasikas worship yakshas and demons..other thamasika people worship prethas abnd bhuthas(ghosts devils) groups.

 

5+6)which people added with pride(show off) egos   added with lust raga(love)strengths  as avivekies(inability to decide what is right and wrong)Will be disturbing  me and also sensory groups  in the body.and those who are doing severe penance out of scriptural rules know such people are of asuri(demon,non divine) intellect.

 

7)food is also of three kinds according to differentiation of  sathva raja thama.

Like that yajna(sacrifice),penance ,donation,-these are  of three kinds.listen to their these differences.

 

8)longevity,sathva(goodness), strength,health,joy love-increasing these  rasa food(rasaful)smooth,firm,heart loving foods are lovable to  saathvikas.

 

9)very bitter sour saltish  hot,severe,dried ,thirst makingsorrow grief producingfoods are desirable to  rajasa person.

 

10)little matured,rasaless(tasteless), odourful(foul smelling) ,rotten,,left,unfit for yajna,,such food is desirable to  thamasika(thamasful) persons.

 

11)’one who does not desire for fruit(rsult)fixing mind to do yajna ‘yajna should be done’ which scripture  accepted jajna that is saathvika

 

12) but hey arjuna,with expectation of result , yajna which is done for show off(damba) that is rajasa ,understand.

 

13)scripture   rulesless ,without fooddonationmanthraless,dakshinsless,,interestless,sincirityless, that yajna is told thamasa.

 

14)gods brahmana s gurus jnanies worship cleanliness,aarjava(…………….?),celibacy(brahmacharya) ,non violance are  called body penance.

 

15)motionless true lovable favourable  sentences and study of self branch  are called  verbal(speech) penance.

 

16)pleasantness of mind, soft feel silence mind control, purity of feel –these are –these are called mental penance.

 

17)without expectetion of results, peaceful people practiced by supeme sincirity tht three kinds of penance  are called sathvika penance.

 

18)penance which is done for show off ,for sake of homours,,hospitality,worship,,mooving and temporal(anithya) here is called  rajasa.

 

19) disturbing to oneself  by dull intellect(foolishness),penance which is done for others destruction is ,that is called thamasa.

 

20)donation which is given for the sake of donationwhich is given to person being unable to rehelp (in return)n place ,time,and fitness (siutability) such donation is called ‘sathvika’.

 

21)but the donation which is done  with expectation of  with expectation of help in relation with  sorrow(klesha) that donation is rajasa.

 

22)which donation  given in that placw=e and time to unfit people without hospitality(honour) with negligence,this is called thamasa.

 

23)”om thath sath” three kinds of names have been told to brahma through it previously brahmins,yajnas ,vedas have become fit.

 

24) therefore brahmavadies (brahma arguers)   reciting ‘om’start  as  acceptable to scriptures(shasthras),yajna (sacrifice) karmas, penance  and donation works.

 

25)moksha (liberation)   desirers    telling ‘thath’ without  epecting returns jajna activities,,penance processes  and donation activities.

 

26) hey arjuna ,in good feel(sadbhaava),,in saadhu bhava  (feel) also’  this sath is used. In similar way in good(welfare)  karmas  also word’sath’ is used.’

 

27)in yajna(sacrifice)  donation,penance,what existence  is present it is called ‘sath’ and the work done for that  also is called’sath’.

 

28)hey partha,sacrifice(homa)  done without interest(sincirity) ,donation,penance,and karmas(works) all these are called ‘asath’.even after death also  it is not cause offruits(results).here also it is not cause of happiness.

 

Chapter  17 shraddha thraya vibhaga yoga completed.

Chapter 18,moksha sanyasa yoga.:

 

Arjuna told:

1)Hey great armed,hrushikesha ,keshinishudana,   I desire  to know principles (thathva) of  sanyasa and   renunciation seperately.

 

Sri   krishna told

2) some scholars  know sanyasa as  rnunciation of kaamya karmas.(desiring karmas).other few jnanies tell renunciation of  fruits of all karmas as renunciation

 

3)as karmas are defectful    should be left  and again few tell  yajna, donation, penance,karmas  are not to be left.

 

4)hey bharaha shresta,hear my decision regarding renunciation.hey purusha lion renunciation is of three kinds.is told in scriptures.

 

5)yajna ,donation penance these  karmas are not to be left..should be done.yajna,donation,and penance are holy to manieshies(munies)

 

6)but hey partha, and leaving interest  and these karmas  should be done.this is my  decided better openion.

 

7)but renunciaton of daily karmas is not proper.if you renunciate then by fascination is called is called thamasika.

 

8)who by fear of strain of body ,renunciating  karma ,thinking  them as sorrowful  only.he is doing rajasika renunciation will not have fruit of  genunciation.

 

9)hey arjuna,which daily karma  is doneis done thinking as duty leaving interest and fruits(results) such renunciation is sathvika..this is my openion.

 

10)intellect(medhavi),doubtless,sathvika renunciater does not hate interested karmas(kaamyakarmas).will not get interest in daily karmas.

 

11) because by body wearer it is not possible to leave karmas completely.who is (not interested ) in karma fruits who renunciates  ,he himself is renunciater.

 

12)bad desirable mixed these three karma results for non renunciaters ,after body death.but for saints  will never happen.

 

13)hey great armed(maha bahu), for siddhas(achieved)of all karmas five causes have been  told in vedantha.know them by me.

 

14) adhistana(base?),doer(karthru) many kinds of sense organs (karanas) and varieties of different works,among these  god(divine) is fifth.

 

15)by body,speech,mind- starts karmas which   are justified or unjustified.for that these are five causes.

 

16)when there  it is like that  who by by uncultured intellect(asamskrutha  buddhi)  knows only  athma is doer  that bad intellect won’t see.

 

17)one who does not have feeling  I am doerwhose intellect is not attached,he even if he kills   worlds,will not be killed nor binded

 

18)jnana (knowledge)  jneya(to be known),  jnathru(knower)-these are three prpmoters(pravarthaka)  ofkarma.karma  collections are of three kinds organ(karana) karma(work) doer(karthru).

 

19)jnana(knowledge) ,karma(work,rituals),doerthese three are by differentiation of sathva excetra as told in kapila scripture.listen to them  they are.

 

20)different in all bhuthas(animals) ,undivided,,irreducible(avyaya) ,single athma by which he sees   such jnana is sathvika .know this.

 

21)that knowledge(jnana)  is rajasa which understands various athmasin different forms in all animals.

 

22) but which knowledge totally  interested  in single work,causeless,which has no definite meaning,lower,that is thamasa it is said.

 

23)without   desire for it’s fruit, without hatred and love,daily done,interestless ,which karma is there  that is called sathvika.

 

24)but one who has desire of fruits(returns)and pride(egoful ),attached with very much strain,that work is rajasa.

 

25)bondage,reduction,,violence,power,without enquiery, which karma is startedwith fascination  that is told’thamasa’.

 

26)without expectationof fruit(returns) without pride of ‘myself’added with firmness and enthusiasm,unchanged by(in) siddhi and asiddhi,that doer is called sathvika.

 

27)interested ,desirer of fruits of fruits of karmas,miser,having violence nature,unclean, added with joy and sorrows,that doer is called ‘rajasika’.

 

28)one who has no balanced mind(equanimity of mind)uncultured intellect,one who does not promise to anybody,magician(mayaavi) one who destroys others profesion,unindustrial(anudyamasheela),,condolenceful,deerghasuthri(long thread holder?),that doer is called ‘thamasa’.

 

29)that knowledge is  rajasa   which understands various athmas  in different forms in all animals.

 

30) hey arjuna, pravrutthi(instinct) and retirement,good works and bad works fear non fear, bondage and liberation  which  understands ,that intellect  is sathvika.

 

31)hey arjuna,religion   and non religion(ethics and non ethics) , work and nonwork,by which one  does not  understand as they are(yathartha)that intellect  is  rajasika.

 

32)which is covered by thamas,understands adharma as dharma,,which understands  in excess all things,which are to be known that intellect is thamasa.

 

33)hey arjuna, man through yoga which unadultrated(ubdebatured,avyabhichari) firmnessmind prana and sense organsholds actions of these that firmness is sathvika

 

34) hey arjuna ,desirer of fruit(results) with very much interestby which firmness holds dharma(duty,ethics)artha(money) kama(lust)and liberation,that firmness is rajasika.

 

35)hey arjuna,wicked minded,by which firmness, won’t leave  these  sleep,fear,grief,condolence(vishada),pride-that firmness (dhrithi) is thamasika.

 

36+37)hey bharatha shresta,listen from me three kinds of joys(happinesses)

Man through long practice plays in which joy and gets sorrow reduced(abolished) which joy first  appears as poisonand like amritha at end-produced by grace of athma buddhi-that joy is sathvika  know.

 

38)by union of objects and senses which joy first amrutha like  at the end like poison   that joy is rajasika it has been told.

 

39)which joy appears  fascinating both at  beginning and end produced  bysleep laziness mistakes that joy is called  thamasa

 

40)being releived by these three gunas animal group  wheather  on earth or in  heavenly gods  not present.

 

41)hey arjuna,brahmana –kshathriya-vyshya-shudra  as their karmas are nature born by birth charecters is divided.

 

42)peace coolness,control of mind,penance,cleanliness ,arjava(………………….?)

Knowledge ,science,athiest(asthikya bhaava) feel-these are karmas of brahmana,produced by nature.

 

43)valience,praagalbhya,,firmness ,efficiency in work,not to run away in war,donation,lordship, these are kshathriyas.

 

44) agriculture ,protection of cattles,and trade(business)-these are  karmas  produced by  nature of vyshya.service form of karma is natural to shudra.

 

45)one who indulges in his own karmas will attain good siddhies. One who is engaged in his own dharma hoew he will get siddhi   listen  to them.

 

46)by whose graceanimals are produced ,by whom whole world is occupied,worshiping him by his own karmas  man will attain siddhi

 

47)other dharma which is practiced (anustana)well  ,charecterlessown dharma is higher ,doing karmas fixed by nature  man will not get sin.

 

48)hey arjuna, natural karma even if had defects,is not to be left(rejected).as fire is covered by smoke all karmas are covered by defects.

 

49) one who is not interested in all karmas,has own mind, desireless person,that person  will attain naishkarmya siddhi  by sanyasa.

 

50) hey arjuna,one who has got siddhihow he will attainbrahma which is supreme sincirity of knowledge that you understand by me.s

 

51+52+53)having pure  intellect,controling oneself by firmness ,leaving matters like shabda(word,nada,sound) excetra (rupa rasa  smell ,touch),rejecting love and hatred,living   in pepleless placewith limited food,controling body mind speech.always  in dhyana yoga(meditations),depending on  disinterest(vyragya,dejection),leaving ego(pride,aham)strength ,pride,kama(lust),anger without any affection,prideful, to possess   brahma bhaava . 

 

54)one who has attained brahma bhaava(feel),who is pleasant mindedwill not be sorrowful.won’t desire,becoming equal in all animals   will have supreme  devotion in me.

 

55)through devotion he wil know  where he is  and who he is.through that   understanding  me as it is(yathaartha) enters me then only.

 

56)though doing all karmas one who depends upon me,by my grace will attain,permanent,irreducible,(avyaya) post(position).

 

57)dedicating all  karmas by intellect,doing  my parayana)(thinking  of me only)depending on intellect yoga,let your mind be in  me only always.

 

58)having mind in me,by my grace you will cross all durgas(forts,difficulties.if you don’t listen to me by ego you will be destroyed.

 

59)depending upon egoif you think’I don’t  make war’this your decision is  false.because nature stimulates you.

 

60)hey,arjuna,being bound by karmas born by your nature what you want to do with fascinationwill  do it without control

 

61)hey arjun like mechanised dolls   turning(rotating)  all animals

Thinking all animals like will do it in heart of all lives.

 

62) hey arjuna,surender to  him only who is self of  of all.(sarvathma).by his grace  you will attain   supreme peace ,permnent place.

 

63)like this ,secret  of sectrets knowledge is told  by me to you.analysing it fully, do as you like.(decide)

 

64) most of all secrets ,listen to my supreme words again.as you are very much like to me will tell  this favour.

 

65)have mind in me only.become my devotee.worship  me only,do namaskarams to me.you will join me only.it will take true oath.because you are lovable to me.

 

66)renunciating all  dharmas  surender to me only. I will relieve you from all sins. Don’t be sorrow.

 

67)  I have told this to you.this should not be told to penanceless(thaporahitha).it should never be told to  non devotee.it should not be told to one who is jealousy about me.

 

68)one who tells this supreme this  supreme secret among my devotees ,he by doing  supreme devotion  will get me only.no doubt in this.

 

69)among men ,nobody is lovable to me Than him.on earth more lovable  person will not be born.

 

70)dharmaful(full religious) our this conversation,who  studies it he also becoming liberated ,gets good world of  good deeds.

 

71)sincere(shraddha,interest)jealousyless,which person listens to this   he also becoming liberated will attain good world of  good doers.

 

72)hey partha,did you listen to this concebtration?hey dhananjaya is your fascination is out of ignorance,destroyed.

 

Arjuna told:

73)hey achyutha, by your grace  my fascination is destroyed.smruthi (memory)came.i am doubtless ,I will follow your teachings.

 

Sanjaya told:
