ASCHARYA CHUDAMANI: ACT -1

( at the end of nandi director(suthradhara enters)

Director (suthradhara): Brahmajyothi named parama purusha(supreme man), in milk sea, he himself as sea  has slept(laying down). Like sea waves he has  thousand arms. They appear firmly, beautifully, like long rods(salakes) , composed by pacche beads.

 

To sea foam is like garland. Present on head of Mahavishnu  anantha’s  hood beads brightness only, is shining like garland. At the depth of sea,  cones(shankhas), various kinds of aquatic animals(water moving animals), firm mountains  are there. Holding mahashankha in hand,in his stomach  moving and non moving  all creations appear. That indestructible(avinashi)  god let protect us.

(coming forward seeing towards screen) wonder! Come this side.(actress enters)

 

 Actress: Arya(honourable)  vwill come now.

Director: suitable song, lessons, adopting rasa excetras, using dance, to make to like heart,king ruling  to be liked by people(citizens) both are  same  Such heavy burden I am doing

Actress: your subhadra(good) shape only  indicates seriousness of great work  which you are  doing.

Director(uthradhara): Let it bebeauty , to move in extraordinary   work to many there may be much difficulty.

Actress: aya(honourable), what nis such extraordinary here.

 Director:arye(honourable), honourable samajikas (those who are doing social works,social workers)  have gathered here. Coming from south path ,ascharya chudamani(wonder chudamani)  called drama’s acting luck  let us taste. Like this they have given order.

Actress: Ayyo,Ascharya chudamani? Unexpected has happened.sky flower, oil extracted in sand, drama coming from south-all these are same.

Director:Arya, don’t tell like that. Let there be honour to  south. Leave over respect towards your birth place. To us prana is evidence(pramana)  and not direction division. If you want example, Harichandana on your chest.like snow bead  pure pearl garland you see.(both these are from south only).

Actress: Arya tell, this talented poet’s name is  Shakthibhadra. His dramas are not this only. He has written  unmada vasavadattha(intoxicated)  and other works. You go now. Prepare roles(pathras). I will also request  honourable good hearted  audiens.

Lakshmana: By tenkara (sound) of my bow  only  I will send off  sorrunding animals. For arya  I have  built  house and completed. If flower bed is spread enough.( for those munies  who come to see arya(here rama)  I have to prepare bamboo seats. Later ground around  with lotus pollens by fragrant water sprinkling I have to prepare.

somehow I have  followd urder of arya.Ayyo! thouse who are caught  by difficulty is peculiar. What  work I have done so far, I have done well.  Parnashale(leaf hut) is prepared. what is this! This is not the shape(figure) which can adjust to forest. What a beauty! Ascharya(wonder) rathna only! This female who is vilasa(play,luxury) earth ,is she from eart world  or divine beauty.this fear is appearing. Her eye’s beauty! What a beautiful eye brow! What a body figure.

Che! What is this my fickle mindedness. I am Srirama’s  younger brother Lakshmana!Is she divine beauty,earth lass, who ever may be she  what is to me? I should not be moved(disturbed). Shurpanakhi(seeing lakshmana),he is also same!(shys).

 Lakshmana: I think her behaviors and words are not good. Myself who is muni vow(vratha) wearer thogh damned(dhikkarisi) her and see , shying  is putting face down.(she is expressing feel of Shringara). Flower kept in ear for devoration , as though moving  is nodding head.

Lakshmana: why  friendship with unacquainted woman?9simply goes).

Shurpannakhi :(follows) arya,is this right? Can you neglect like this surrendered woman?

Lakshmana: I am not ignoring you. Living in forest  we are in munies vows (vrathies). Our condition has changed. I am follower of order of elder brother.

 Shurpanakhi:So you can follow your elders order in my matter also!

Lakshmana:(with anger) who is that ,who is otdering me?

 Shurpanakhi: Arya should listen with attention.

Lakshmana: all attention is here only

Surpanakhi: Arya, it is worshipable Rama’s order  that you should be with me.

Lakshmana{(holding hand across)see, to us silk cloth itself is cloth,forest itself is house. Roots and tubers are food. Darbhe grass is bed. Water tickling  jata

Burden( weight) itself is our decoration. Lass tou are young. Why should you live like forest animal? Sarangakshi(saranga eyed) To munies who are engaged penance,enemy of penance kama(desire,lust  god) where to where relation?

Shurpanakhi: that is all false,I won’t belive. Is arya Rama not living with  his wife?

Lakshmana: monkies yoy don’t know Arya rama’s behavior well.

  Lakshmana-Arya till completion of taken  oath ,citizens,gurus-elders,bharatha till he sees  except dharma(religion)(except arha and kama) only he hs held.

Shurpanakhi- So she who is with him what she will do?

Lakshmana- what I do only.

Shurpanakhi: right so, As she treats arya  I serve you.accept.

 Lakshmana- bhadre, you appear as innocent, no intellect will desire serventship.you are desiring it!

Shurpanakhi- arya, friendship has no sense of  charecters and degfects is it not.

Lakshmana-(thinking) She should be examined and seen. Because even forest people also fear to come here in this dense forest. Having beautiful ete like knnaidile(blck water lilly) where is this young lass? Glden lotus  necter drinking  Kala swan  shouting in sea will it be seen? Can it be seen insea?(ext this is the place where arya  lives).

(( Rama enters with seethe)

Rama:devi, than city living  this forest living itself  seems to better. Having many  trees added with  fragrance eniting flowers  this forest itself is  garn. Coming downwhite from rivers(streams,thore) appearing here and there,black due to clouds, shining hills only are our play mountains.,added with sounds of white birds, rivers are our cool bath rooms. Cool by seerpani(……?),cool fragranceful

 Cool air itself is our dear friend.

Seetha: Arya son, I am also feeling like that. In Saketha our elders  are not waiting for us and  sit life long  I am willing to stay here only.

Lakshmana-(sees) Ayyo there arya is sitting here. What a difficulty fate has brought and given! No other go. This is work of kaike. Amma great mother kaikeyi! For us, Arya  has left smooth  silk cloth  and wore fibre (naaru madi)cloth.

 Cheetthhs and  and wolves walking  forest land, keeping his beautiful feet walked. Due to worries  body of Bharatha is reducing(becoming poor). People of kosala have got upset. You yourself  brought brought widowship totally by your house destroying work  there is nobody who has not eaten pain.

(comes near) let jaya(victory) happen to  Arya.

Rama:-Lakshmana,did your work complelete?

Lakshmana- will I leave without completion?

Rama: If so let us see. Carry me there.

Lakshmana- Let me follow brother’s order. This side,this side…..

Rama-seeing face feel of Lakshmana), chil from mother kikeyi nothing injustice has happened. This is my feel.we have worshiped munies who are in liberation path. We have visited rivers and piligrimage places. We have hit enemies. Apart from that all Iquaku  family people ,after reaching a stage in family life,leaving all what is theirs, living as penanciers (thapaswies) in forest have got their life blessed.Is it not?

Lakshmana- In good charectered there will be no bad charecters. Like this people talk. These are true words.

Rama- Lakshmana ,anger on your mother has it not yet cooled?

Lakshmana- Arya, In which other way  shall I see kaikeyi? On that day kousalya and Sumithras were seeing  moisture,joy filled vision  wereseeing me with concentrated mind. Added with father’s tears golden pot’s abhisheks water, with manthra  strength (power) of  Vasista maharshi   while was fall upon you, she prevented it. Is she ordinary? What a kindles! Light of whole  world festival , choosen  became dark  night.!

 Desiring for  spoiled state to scold mother only?Ayyo! those who have no peace of mind in mind always think injustice ans non religion. Kshathriya is sinner only. Availle to all’ordinary’wife Dharanidevi.(without difference of father son). Arrows weapons are friends. Brothers, suthare(?) enemies, by sins which they do will fall in hell. Big profit got from  stateis two fans(chamaras), one elephant,white umbrella! Only this much.

Lakshmana- Iam not telling from view of state desire,

Rama- what is the cause of your anger?

Lakshmana- I have  missed method is my  anxiety.

Rama: If so, First you try to blame me. Kindness filled Indra like  king when is there, without shyness to get abhisheka done I have sat on throne!

Lakshmana- As he is of old age father had come to do Abhisheka(throne ceremony)  had come forward. No mistake of yours.

Rama-Bharatha is younger than me!

Lakshmana- father I thought from now onwards I am not able to do  citizen maintainance.

Rama-see LAKSHMANA  TO PULL AND THROW  DEMONS  CAPABLE WHOSE THEJAS(BRIGHTNESS) CAN PROTECT EVEN HEAVEN ALSO , TO SUCH MY FATHER LIKE ATHMA GOD EARTH , wasit not possible?

Lakshmanabut due to son’s friendship  underwent such fickleness!

Rama- that is world nature. When there are many children  in one there will be little much partiality will be there. Like that is it equal in  brothers friendship also?is it not more in me?

Lakshmana- you you only tell. Do you accept kaikeyi is cause of death of father?

Rama- No not at all. In matter of father she is crimeless.(she has not done any crime). For blind father and mother who has come to bring water from pond  munikumara’s pot’s gulugulu sound,thinking as it is sound of drinking of forest elephant ,by shooting arrow  you have killed them. That work only removed prana of  king.

Sitha- might be, fate might have troubled king. Who will try to destroy oneself and others?(this not mistake of kaikeyi).

Lakshmana- right, I myself is criminal. Bring consolation by yourself. While talking we have come  near leaf house. Arya should enter inside.

Rama:-Lakshmana, you are tired very much. Relax a little.

Lakshmana- brother. Let it happen as you tell.

Rama- seeing leafe house,with wonder)devi! See. See well,lakshmana’s  expertise. Near no hint of any animal. By mere tenkara of bow only all he has made to run away.

 By leaf creepers only building house has prepared bed by new  flowers. For those who come to sit has done chairs  from bamboo. By river water sprinkling with  surrounding places keeping pushpa bali(?)  has decorated.

Sitha- arya son, here…..

Rama-devi nobody is there. Without any  anxiey9calmly) giving body to favourable air, relax. Emiting out from your face, fragranceful long sigh’s  heat red lip has dried. Fully green like  parrot,filled with dust tie binding cloth is swinging like wave. Loosen it.(solve tiredness of journey).

ACT 2(ANKA):

(entry of beautifully dressed  shurpanakhi)

Shurpamakhi-

9with pain) again I will beg rama to become husnabd. Believing his words only I fell behind this lakshmana. It is like going to fool returning with empty hands, like saraswathi  my condition became! How many times I have fallen behind his back . Today also near leaf house only I had sit and awaited.. but that kindles,valienceless,non religious, dakshinya less (kindles, unconsiderate), human creature again did not come! What an unlucky. I went to do something  earned  a big thorn ? What a prideful he is? Ego so as to refuse me to him! I will tell all these to his elder brother  later I will think further.

(Lster rama enters with sitha).

 Rama-vaidehi, If seen everything  appears wonderful  only.Is it not?see there-

 Changing colour on  on mountain peacks, like moving black clouds big bodied mayavi(magician) demons this panchavati region is filled..Like this extraordinary curiosity was residing in me. But that panchavati only becoming unacquainted  region today  is looking favourably like garden. Mountains, oceans,forsts  producing wonder to listeners is natural.

Sitha- Aryason! I am also curious about these things. Next we completing forest living, when we go to palace, to harem(Anthahpura) women  telling about here I will make them to wonder.

Shurpanakhi- (goes near) let victory (jaya) happen to Arya.

Rama-beauty, had you met Lakshmana?

Shurpanakhi- yes I have seen.

Shurpanakhi-‘myself as penancier(thapaswi)  is treating worshipable Rama. If you are there ,there will penance breaking to me.’no go’told.

Shurpanakhi-no arya, surely not. I can’t go near him. Here I will be with you and do your feet service.

Sitha- ayyo.pity, what a soft minded! Due to  her love on  aryason, she is showing how much  good charectered she is.

Rama:9seeing shurpanakhi)- beauty, your this service is desirable only. But what shall I do?

As per father’s order  making her hand as agni witness for dharma (religion) performance  vasista maharshi  kept in my hand. But to who is desiring to get permanent post, this religious wife  seeth’s bondage is enough. I worn this penancier’s  vow(vratha). So seeing my condition, you only think about future. (about dos and don’ts).

 Shurpanakhi-  When you have told like this, I will not try to go anywhere. I will remain here only and leave prana.

Sitha- aryason. It is not good to ignore her desure.

Rama- I request you go to lakshmana.

Shurpanakhi- enough. His friendship. By believing your words  on going near him I have done  insult to female community(family) it seems.

Rama:  don’t tell like that, This is behavior which has come from past.old custom. See, your belief that  female should not move(approach) by herself is not right. Like garland in jate(tuft of hairs on head), for muhurtha (some) time shined gangadevi also  sarith husband  mudra king approached by herself.

 Shurpanakhi- all right,binding to your words, due to  honour on you what ever I will do. This time also if he shows hardness of  refusing me,I will have to show my true form.let him know.(goes).

Sitha- aryason, pity girl, of tender age. By throwing cold water to her desire you are giving mental torture I feel.

Rama-devi, without front and back it is not roght to join  female to house. Do you know this?

sitha- right, when she is not suitable  faith  then why did you send her to kumara(lakshmana)?

Rama-devi what is relation with her to kumara? This plan of keeping  her at distance.that is all.

Sitha- is it? If kumara keeps her away what is her fate?

Rana-(looking at sitha) devi,.let it all be so. Leg walk is your pallakki(carrying cradle). Water only is food. Land only bed, decoration material bath only,.but still young lass. You are appearing like Lakshmi to me. When you were having all lucks(facilities) in Ayodhya in palace,this beauty(soukumarya) is like that only. How is it?

Sitha- (self talk,svagatha) Doe aryason does not know? Athri maharshi’s wife anasuya devi  at the  time send off , to your husband’s eyes you should be always, all parts beauty appear as though’ like this had given boon.

(in background) stop stop demoness where you will go?

Rama-(on hearing) this is like tone of ;lakshmana.

Sitha- yes his voice only.

Lakshmana- stop ,stop,

Rama-(sees tells) lakshmana what is this? Such fearful form? To me who killed thatake only it is producing fear. Cruel  kore teeth(dadde hallu,canine) standing erect red hairs. Like rain pouring cloud  black colour!

Sitha-(shaking with fear), aryason, Remove this demoness.

Rama-devi,don’t be afraid.In wall writings you have seen form of pishacha. Is it not?

Sitha- ind, why are you anxious like this? Though you are near husband why fear?

Shurpanakhi- eating dry bodied penanciers, to taste spoiled to her tongue, beautiful good food is got. Eating both of us , I will ive sitha to brother Ravana. (rushes  forward and comes).

Lakshmana- She is rising coming upon us, Stretching  long hands which touch sky

, suffering due to weight of  step becoming upside down, standing on earth,like main door of town  whose bolt(aguli) is removed,opening big mouth is coming towards us.

Rama- She …flying to sky  falling on earth rolling, running,standin ,yawning, by her severe nails  calling clouds is powdering.

Sitha-Aryason, save me hands of demoness.

Rama-evi ,don’t be afraid.

She is not demoness.cutting from my weapon doing   Artha(poor,humble)sound falling down she will roll.That you will see.

Lakshmana-arya, you keep quiet. To her I will show one destination.(goes inside).

Shurpanakhi-ayyo,what an injustice! Ladduges (?) which can be eaten and finished are showing valience!

Lakshmana-hey demoness, TodaI will make you as food to  birds(banadies).

Shu- first I will eat him in  loneliness and finish.

Lak- ayyo  caught.my head is feeling giddy.

Rama- stop demoness! stop

To leave defaulters we are not munies.  Stop your wickedness. In my hand there is hede(bow thread) rised bow is there. My arrows have no kindness. To punish demons only these arrows are present.

Shu-9holding lakshmana)Abba When compared to him  mountain peaks are light.(flies to sky and disappears)

Rama-devi, still you have not left your fear? Innocent eyed, forget woman’s nature and have boldness.Leave my held arm. Demoness is carrying lakshmana and rising up.

Sitha-aryason, what is my destination?

Rama- who will protect kumara(lakshmana) sitha- is there no weapon in his hand?

Sitha-will he not have weapon in his hand?

Rama-(with sorrow) to him who is under control of demoness, what is use from weapon? Che to this human birth damn(djikkara). To humans earth only is visible.bad demoness She held lakshmana and disappeared  went in sky path.

Sitha- Ayyo ,wicked happened from my side Holding aryason(to him) regarding lakshmana brought pain.

Rama-(seeing arrow)  to divine arrow shall I make her goal?

(in back ground)sarya- protect protect.she has made me to fall.

Rama- it is like female voice. Earth is vibrating. What is the cause/ probably demoness might to fall.

Sitha-Aryason I also feel like that.

rama- bhadre(madam)  what is this! In midst of forest  from top of hill like metal liquid  solid red water is oozing. This bright rain from pralaya tim clods might be poured.is it not?

Lak-(with sympathy)  abba! I had to arrow usage on femsale(woman). I am getting bored(bad). Why should I pain? Knowing decision of elder brother, seeing her wickedness(dourathmya) on night mover I left arrow. Cut ears and nose. I will go near elder brother.9coming) jaya to arya.

Rama-(embracing with joy)  hey mind, Be joyful. By whose friendship  myself as I am  peaceful in palace of Ayodhya I will be. That lakshmana has returned with safety.

Shurpa- Aha! Arya ravana,ha arya kumbhakarna ,ha vibhishana, protect me protect me. Protect me from cruelty of person  who is in penancier’s form.

Rama-lakshmana see by kempuka she appears as thouh blood is attached(smeared) . She is appearing as  blood sticken statue. Like cloud of evening time. From dhathurasa   poured wall coming down from hill. Like aruna rising time thamala street.

Lak-(self talk) punya,   I need not have told. Arya came to know hiself.This bad work .

 Rama- Lakshmana what you have done is correct. Women should not be killed. But to their mistake they have to be punished.it is justified. She is demoness  living in Dandakaranya named  forest. elder sister to kharadushanas and younger sister to Ravana  she is it seems.

 Shurpanakhi-yes remember this human creatures. Lak-aha! Get lost from here.

Shurpa- To kharadushanas I will show my this condition.

Sitha- Aryason, I became free now. In such fearful forest  in midst of demons such a beautiful lass from where she has come.I had this doubt.

(Rama sees lakshmana)

Lak- (in ear) like this…

Sitha- arysason, what did lakshmana see?

Rama-devi(godess), who by her shaking lips, fickle eyes like fish,thin waist, elevated chest,who  was coming with shy  keeping step on step  with leela(play0 that lasses demon destroying cause by influencof fate she became cause of your fear. (by us she became beginning of demons destruction.)

Sitha- I had faith in her. But aryason removed.It became right.

Rama- child lakshmana How did you refuse her before only?

Lak-(with laugh)s every where you will not see  defects  due to dakshimya(chivalry,civility.considerateness). cam severity of fire be concealed?

Rama- what you are telling is true only. How a thornless  creeper makes itself available to hands of those who have come to pluck,like that people  with simplicity   will become under control of  wicked and selfish people. Who ever she may be she is woman only. Should not have insulted. You have done a mistke it seems I feel.

Sithap,now also that demon is appearing to me.

Rama- Her brother is Ravana who is thorn to three worlds. When it is so  it is not easy to get peace to our bow. This enemity produced with these demons ,probably  ending in  killing  of all  demons, ,let good happen to whole world.

Sitha- arya(honourable) see there by red rays of evening  sun  demoness’s blood sticked  lifting mudas though is applying to tip of trees .it is appearing.

 Rama-day has passed. Child (vathsa) lakshmana, keep down sword. Loosen hede(bow thread) of bow. (rajo character)In  dust removing river, taking bath  let us do sandhyavandana (evening prayer) and finish.

Lak- Let happen according to order of arjuna.(he does so.)

Rama- sithe  see there sun god. Hit by feet of Vishnu ,falling down from sky speedily  namuchi(?) by  his blood flow by new bandhu jiva kusuma(relative jiva flower)’s brightness added sun  faces of all   direction lasses  by his rayas brightness is rising red.

Rushi- by tread of sriramachandra blessed surya(sun) family, let live long. Valiant Rama kharadushan’s  adombala(?)  jana sthana(army place) as demond yama place has converted. Therefore in this garden land even people like me also, can walk fearlessly. Now truly  after tasting blood of demons  death’s tongue ,without licking lanka  will not leave. ( coming little front) where shall I get solved tiredness of piligrimage?(sees) Here there is ashrama near.bevcause-

 

River banks by manthra put darbhes are covered.  Sitting In trees branch, parrots vanaprashtashramies friendship practice shasr=thra (scripture) sentences are telling. Muni kumaras in their joined hands holding navane (nivara) , ,as effect of eating, deer kids leaving mother’s milk  (rushikumara) me seeing with faith  are coming this side only.

 But here anywhere  svadhyaya(self study)  veda lesson recital is not heard. Homa Dhumas( sacrifices and smokes)  are not seen. Let them be. I will enter and see.s(comes ans sees) it seems this ashrama has been left recently.

At this time also when my lord  has killed dashanana(ten headed Ravana) To me this drum beating work is not different. Myself who is tamed in this is doing that work well only.
