Dear friends,I thank you one and all  for going through  my translated poetry literature.
I am venturing  to take translation of poetry of mahakavi  to my level best.please excuse and correct
If there are any mistakes. Translation is my hobby.i have selected these poetries  from  ‘kuvempu samagra kavya volume I and 2 published by’rastrakavi   kuvempu prathistana,,kuppalli ‘to whom I am grateful.i also thank Microsoft word office(typing),google,facebook,blogspot for  containing,publishing,and retaining life long without expense of single rupee  world wide on world stage.i am also grateful  to  members  of ‘kannada rathnakosa’of kannada sahithya parishat   as  it was very helpful in finding out meaning of difficult words.i am(alpa kavi)is grateful  to kalpa kavi(poet of epochs) and his all family members.  At the same time I am grateful  to all the poets and  authors and their family members  in this blog for giving permission to me to translate.

From beginning not knowing first
From  beginning dark’s  stomach
Appeared and came.
Whose desire I don’t know
Don’t know why and where,
I flow forward!

Sleeping in stones and soils
Getting  tired in jada(achethana,non living) deep sleep
Epochs have passed!
Seing dream in plants
Eating birth life death
Kalpas  went(passed)!

Again knowing  body   returning
Appearing ,pitying  like animals
Tired very much.
Today in human birth
Have come singing!

The words which you wishpered on that day
Today also sounding in ears.
On that day vision which you gave in forest
Even today, has filled up eyes.

I heard harsh words
But they won’t exceed wishper words;
I saw  dresses of grandures
But they did not overcome(succeed) vision(darshana)!

Only heard in word- your wishper!
Only saw in world-your vision !
talks of remaining are   : words of mouthless!
Remaining visions: vision of blinds.

You are king of forest when in heart

Have granted  happiness which you don’t have
the joy which you don’t have is in me!
No bondage of your liberation,hey god
Liberation of my bondage(pasha) you don’t have!

No joy of wandering in maya to you ,I have
‘lord of maya come protect” like this
Where is to you joy of    telling  opening mouth
  To see your existence is sorrowful to me.

No  attribute(saguna) joy;you are not that not this
My life is “nethi !nethi!”(not this not this)
You have no safety(protection) by philosophers;
To me no fear of those people.!

Wearing bangles of lightning  tejas (brightness)
Keeping drum (thambate)of of bhyrava  in thunder
Come,awoke me,mother-hey   forceful(javana)mother.

In lightning of bangle,remove eye  jadathana(non livingness,achethana)
Spoil sleep of ear by thunder;
In black cloud   fearful   relieve chest fear;
come awoke me,mother-hey young mother.

Did not open eyes in light of arathi
ear did not rise hearing flute sound
by seing  statue did not become stone
come awoke me,mother-hey  fast mother

Rich not knowing seen by nobody
Town which is not present anywhere!

Town in whichthere is no fear of this world(bhava)
Town desired by divijas(duvine people)

Place which poets  have seen!
Where is the town which I have to join
scholars knowing,all being seen
town existing everywhere!

There is town which I have to join!
that is town where jnanies exist
boundary of meditation is that  place
town which   I exist,nearer town

Like your sky

In soundless (silent) green   wear in malnad forests
Let there be hut in sounding  river place
There sound of   parrot,goravanka (bird),kokilas
Come as wave and wave floating

There near green grass,cattles calling amba
Tones come along with  flute of cattle carrier(looker)
There festival of rich kannada poetries festival
Give sweet meals daily to me.

 Though flied in sky sliping in earth
Let there be a friend who is rasika(interested)
In evening with with us wandering with waste talk
Thimma who has become gopala be there!

 Leaving life when I vanish and go beyond
Let all be knowing what is my desire:
When heaven is within let there  be heaven for me
When here is within  him,let there be ell

Doing lsat work given,at the end of life
Believing god ‘s  grace  with peace
desiring crying for sweet love woman’s eye

You don’t know secret of this  great universe
Is mere struggle enough?
Ranke’s(wings?) of imagination  got tired in urgency

Yes,shall we reach bank?rises as rised!

Words(talks) get tired hesitating with  fear
Worries infinite,falling like dream.

If rushed and seen in chest of black stone there

Appear as shapeless!
if shapeless(formless) thathva(principle) is experienced  and  seen
you are appearing as shapeful.

If all tell  “not that ! not this!“
 you sound as:that I am!this I am!

Endless  not seen,not knowing boundary
There is a place  brother.
There is one who is nameless
No body knowing  magician.
Not even one  told  and heard
Only he knows  who has gone to town(place).

Length and breadth  not seen
No bodies ,shapes there.

Will open mind door ;without closing.

Will cut and bring fruits of all karmas
 Will select and bring  fruits of all  joys and sorrows
Will come weaving eyes ear nose  mouth senses
Earned (laboured)garland of flowers

I will not play(sound) bells,will not blow cone(shankha)
I don’t    know  to enlight mangalarathi
will not leave your company,will never forget you

Vicinity of mother:
Day and night you followd me mother
Without knowing   that  I understood  as alone
On that day when your leg chain  sound was heard
I came to know that, is only maya.

In urgency of world ,caught your  feet
Sound I  did not  hear  your chain sound.
As busy of  buyers and sellars was filling
How shall I listen to your  leg chain sound.

Leaving sandy(market) of world,keeping   busy there
On joining heart of  forest s now.
The sound which was not heard on that day-is heard today
the form which was not seen on that day  is shining!

Every day e rises and goes
Everyday  moon   appears and  dries up
Everyday  air  plays and runs;

In morning flowers blosoms  and goes off;
With love comes spring season(madhumasa),fate laughter;
With joy birds sing and and pray;
Joy of heart only is worrying singing!

Daily we see  peculiarity of  creation
Daily we talk of  nature’s beauty
Mind only   is   worrying as jada(nonliving)and poor

Experience of joy of failure
I came to know In   excess by playing with you

Have seen flowersimitating trees
Snow bead navarathna decorations.
On seing  condemning  twinkling insect of   himakara(moon)
”let there be  joy of failure!” I told.

Saw  greatness of drops swallowing ocean
Rich of everyday  going beyond  epochs and epochs
By seing failure happening to you
I kiss failure that may happen tome.

Worshiped put dupa(scented smoke)
Gave dakshinas to Brahmin  people
Did service of scholars   read veda,  Did logic(tharka)
Heavens door is nowhere
Where ever rushed head was hit!

Where is door of heaven?
Rushed everywhere  did not get!
Heaven’s door is there
Where ever  rushed  get’s opened!

 Existe in   ‘tuvvi’ of birds
 Hiden in  cokour of ploughers
Hiden in  plough of  labouring farmers
Hiden in sword of cutting cooley
Line of plough is path to heaven
Karma  is street carrying to door
To bird singing,flowers blossoming
Mother pampering child  enjoying
When ploug   of farmer writes   vedas
Opens daily door of heaven!
There is door of heaven!
If rushed opens there itself!

On seing beauty of of flower

you don’t know problem of bud!

Coming to unseen foresteating unknown fruit
Why to walk path without aim and goal?

Don’t condemn it as  bad
Don’t take as tough(sorrowful)
In festival (utsava)there is meaning
Saint,tis is not waste!
Where do you run sanyasi!
do you become zero resident?
Driver knows good path
he as sit himself to run  chariot!
Simply why do you stand at distance?
Sanyasi come,let us pull cariot!

Two brothers drowned sign
Mere boats are shining!

To shine like queen ,is there richness I don’t know;
 Wheather   you  Will  give desired fruits like  kamadhenu I don't know
All my organs  know your fineness;
Your friendship is  supreme mangala(welfare)
This I won’t  forget  even a   little!

There are some deficiencies  and defects  in   you    I know this   sorrow 
But have   pained, bleard blame  of beihg backward, I khow
but I won’t  love others .those    who are  blessed  by  gold  
let there be defects and  deficiencies  you  are great,don’t like others.

In  your  part of drama(anka) mangala yard  i enjoyed and shied.

Who is appearing there?
Kourava  god has become  thunderbolt
in front of bhima!
Chest of enemy
Hiting club
Has lifted above see there!did bhima face?
Did kourava win?
See there what happens in future!

Which is this justice?
what an injustice?
See there kuhaka(cheat ) of Krishna
What are you seing?why do you prevent?
Shall kourava king die?
Young  hold sword!
Hit war drum!

Kaliyuga becomes  dvapara!

In neck fearful  human head garland!

What is this play of  thandava   play?
Swinging is  universal swing!

In middle of forehead crores and crores
breaking keeping demon’s group
shyame  is becoming nacked fearful
does dance shankari shouting!

New energy emiting from dance
Fountain of creation ,maintaince destruction
Jada spirit breaking into forms
Shows delivering joys and sorrows.

Ruksha=cruel,rough.  Bhanga=to break.

In vasantha forest  singing kokila
Don’t want  award of king
In flower tree   honey eating  bees(insects)
Sound not by fear of king.

In loneliness of forest with female peacock
To joy of female ecstatic dance!
No count(consideration ) of  king’s sword
In summer skyslowly slowly
To it’s own desire floating cloud’s
Laziness  no hesitation of king.

To attack of air  when body vibrates
Wave wave wave  in clear pond of chest
Minu minu twinkling  smooth moonlight
To play king’s  like is not needed

Exploding thunderbolt  sounding rushing
Black time black  clouds emiting
Red coloured golden line(border) lightning
No enthusiasm of salary of kng’s court

In dark coloured sky twinkling star
Not even  little permission needed
Is friend of  statue of revolution
Poet has no  debt of kings
He is fire faced!
Destruction  flame!

Hospital:
Kindness of  machaine  than kindles animal
Very cruel! Chestless help
Like fear of dark,fearful  formless!
Cruelty is better than negligence!
Is hospital  temple of machaine?
 Are you machaines ,doctors?  All coming patients
Are they broken motors?are they not living beings?
To them no heart/doctor supreme ,are you not
Beloved to beautiful wife?
are you not father to lovely  son?
To begeted   mother are you not lovely son?
When there are three in one,to fate (condition)of your patient
Mother father wife sons sheding hot tears
With pity as human ,treat man!

When there is rasa  why fame?:
I know stars are seing .creation is
Expecting with high  tone feel;
Earth is waiting with anxiety;in joy
Sun is seen without winking .vision of
Worid is  enjoying you,o my poetry’s   beloved!
Flower creeper plants trees hills ,rivers ,forest,sky
All are enjoying tasting, the art work
Which I do! Know I know!
Man only knows  enjoys understanding 
 by my art beauty: singing bird
shining grass’s snow bead,grazing about
are enjoying   that in joy tasting eating!
Human misership  do you want   fame to give donation
Is it required,to my poetry lass?

Friendship of which birth,coming in this life(birth)
Binded both of us  again , don’t see!
Where ever may be what without loving you can’t stop
Presence of gurudeva,o my faithful  relative!
Universal life is boundless  ocean
Rising wave and foam  above,sounding with irritation(anger)
As latent mover at it’s   inner  depth
Hearts are enjoying  by bathing in love water!
Let it’s meaning be (left)to creater
In wasteful  discussion(criticism)  why to waste time?
To blind  should  memory of  road be known?
Enough if path is moved! What ever comes let it come!

Freedom(svanthanthrya):
 O guru,don’t kill by giving freedom;
First is needed  power  to  hold  and make to walk it.
to start machaine  ,technique is not known to me
first tell technique,keeping strength  to me
give machaine to hand,other wise   with wrong thoughts
 falling in wrong path  will die! Your words
become tone of forest.the devotion  in me
is absorbed in  fire of doubt ,  undergoes  fire being burnt!
 Rather than crime of independence (freedom),o  king,
This slavery   of religion (dharma)  is better hundred times!
Around there is light ;in heart temple  dark is not  flowing
High burden of liberation  has become   heavy;
Strength is shaking ! let my head
In dust of earth  don’t roll  under your feet!

Divine eternal dreamful  imagination  sky
cutting bunches of   lightning rainbows
weaving sweet peculiar colour net
arresting heaven ,in deathful (marthya)region
you have binded.o  colour carver!in many dresses
coming chest of temporariness(temporal) protecting permanence
you have threaded dreams    carrying your prana(life)
embraced by eternal art on bank of creeper bondage!
In your golden desire in punya rasa stage
If moving by devotion feather appearing to thoughts
Floated in neela hills  hifh peaks.
In flood of natural beauty,drowning floating
Have got rebodied in self(atma) .like man
Who have come here again returning like burning god!
