CHAPTER 1: FORM OF SUPREME  DEVOTION:

1)Therefore  we describe devotion now.

2) devotion is  supreme love form in him(god).

3) Devotiuon is Amritha form.

4) After it is got human becomes siddha(accomplished). Becomes amritha,becomes  satisfied.

5) After getting supreme love he does not desire any other thing. Will not sorrow. Will not hate anybody. Apart from he will not play( ramisu,feel happy)in any other thing. He is not interested in this worldly things.

6) After knowing this devotee will become liberated he will become stagnant(sthabda). Will become athmarama.

7) That supreme love is not related to kama. Because it is related to  control(mind control,senses control).

8) Nirodha means  to leave loukika(this world;ly,mundane) and vaideka transactions.(vyavaharas).

9) To remember him wirh unique(ananya) feel. What ever comes to it as obstruction  to see all those with nmegligence.(to ignore)

10) When unique(ananya) devotion is filled (apart from bhagavantha) to leave all other dependence.

11) One which is opposite to it negligence(to ignore) ,that means in religious works  to search which is hrelpful for devotional life.

12) After  progress in devotional life, even after stoping  scriptures should be protected.

13) If otherwise there is possibility of becoming sinners.

14)In the same way  loukika(this worldly) celebration(performance) also (till there is no obstruction to devotional life) should be done. Till there is bogy  meals excetras are done.

15) features of devotion arre described  according caste difference in them.

16) Parashara’s son vyasa call love in worships excetras as devotion.

17)(Related to god) in conversations  to get happiness .Like this  garga tells.

18) To play in athma  without obstruction  is devotion  This is openion of Shandilya.

19) In vision of Narada To surrender in god and to do all. Even if he is forgotten for short time ,to feel sorrow is devotion.

20) There are examples for this.

21) vrajagopies are example for this.

22) Here to gopies there was no knowledge of  greatness of Srikrishna. We can’t say.

23) If not so(If no knowledge) that love is  like mere jaare’s (debatured.prostitute) love.

24) In jaare’s love there is no joy in face of beloved.

25) Supreme devotion is  higher than  jnanayoga.

26) Supreme devotion is fruit only.

27) God(bhagavantha) does not like abhimana(pride). He loves humbleness.

28) To get devotion  jnana(knowledge) only is means(sadhana). This is openion of few.

29) One is residence(dependence) to other. This is others openion.

30) brahma’s son narada  this devotion only ids fruit form. Tells like this.

31)king house,meals  excetras are like vishaya (matter,sense objects).

32) After listening  this he was not prince. As he joined house he will not get peace. By  meaks he will not get satisfaction.

33) therefore only mumukshus(liberation desirers) should accept parabhakthi(supreme devotion,high devotion).

CHAPTER 3: MEANS OF DEVOTION:

34) To get parabhakthi acharyas  sing sadhanas (means)

35) In matter os  this parabhakthi (supreme devotion) is got vishaya (sense objects) renunciation and renunciation of attachment(dsanga).

36) by continuous  bhajans  parabhakthi is got.

37) when even engaged In works of this world  should be hearinmg god’s charecters and singing kirthanas.

38) Parabhakthi is  mainly from grace of mahathmas and by god’s grace.

39) attachment (friendship) of mahathmas is difficult to get, agamya(non enterable) and amazing (amogha).

40) But still it is got by god’s grace only

41) nodifference between god and his devotee.

42) great persons  we should search. That only we have to search

43) Friendship of wickeds should be  left by all ways.

44) By this only(bad friendship) only  kama,anger,fascination, forgetfulness, intellect destruction,at end total destruction.

45) Though it first rises as waves it will be like sea due to friendship(attachment) defect.

46) Who will cross this maya? Who will cross this maya? Who leave friendship of bads,,who serve great mystics(mahanubhavas) and who are affectionless(nirmama) those will cross maya.

47) Those who go to peopleless place, who destroy worldly bondages,,who are beyond thrigunas,,who leave yoga kshema(yogaand safety)  they will cross Maya.

48) Those who give up(leave) karma fruit,who are disinterested in karmas they will become dvandvathithas(beyond dvandvas).

49)he will leave Vedas also. He wants mere continuous love.

50)He crosses maya. He crosses maya. Along with he makes others to crossalso.

 

FEATURES OF DEVOTEES:

51)love is indescribable(anirvachaniya).

52) Like dumb tasting  any thing(food)

53) In ant suitable person it is expressed.

54) That amaraprema (deathless love) is beyond charecters(gunathitha) no desires. Every moment will be increasing. Without even little obstruction.  Very  subtle(sukshma). And known by experience (anubhava vedya).

55) Ifv supreme devotion is got, will see god only everywhere. Listen his matter only. He will talk about him only. Thinks about him only.

56)due to  charecter  and artha excetra difference  in gouna  devotioin is  of three kinds.(gouna devotion has loukika(this worldly desire).

57) Here what comes  early is higher (shresta,suprme) than  which comes later.

58)s than other means(sadhanas)  devotion is easy.

59) it needs no evidence. It is self evidence form.(self evident).

60) bY devotion peace is got. It is paramananda(supreme joy ) form.

61) A devotee  need not be sorrowful by worldly  difficulties and losses. He has dedicated his all athma(self)world, and all Vedas to god.

62) till para (high,supreme) devotion is got he should not give up(leave)  worldly works. Leaving(renunciating) karma fruits try to do sadhanas (practices) needed to get parabhakthi(supreme devotion).

63) Woman,money and atheists(nasthikas)  matters should not be heard.

64) Pride and  show off  (dambhas)excetras

65) all karmas should be dedicated to god. Kama(desires) anger  and pride(ego) should be turned towards god.

66) crossing devotion which is of three forms,god should be worshiped as eternal(nithya),infinet(anantha), eternal  kanthe (wifemwoman).love only should be one and only intention.

CHAPTER 5:

67) Among devotees one who has ekanthika(lonely) devotion  are high.

68) with other devotees  with romance(romanchana) talking,making their family holy,will make earth also holy.

69) Devotees will make  piligrimages holy. Will do ordinsry  karmas and good karmas..They will make shasthras(scripture) into sath shasthras(good shasthras).

70) Devotees will be indulged in god only

71) pithris(fathers will feel happy, gods enjoy,,to earth one protecter is got.

72) In devoteed there is no difference in  caste ,education, family, form(beauty)  money and kriya excetras.

73)  Because all belong to him.

74) Should not depend on argument.

75)There is chance to difference in vision. Any one vision  can’t describe all.

76) one recapitulate devotion shasthras(scriptures). Katrmas which develop it should also be done.

77) after crossing  joy sorrow desire, profit excetras as much time is got , even half moments(minute) also should not be wasted.

78) devotee nonviolence, shoucha(cleanliness) , asthikya intellect( theism), excetras should practice.

79) Always  by all feels  without worries  god only should be  worshiped(bhajisu).

80 )while kirthana is done like this, god will quickly will manifest(avirbhava). Gives experience to devotee.

81) at all time devotion is high,devotion is high.

82) Though devotion is on and sam(thanmayathe),e it will be expressed in eleven ways.!) interest in character greatness 2) interest in form 3) interest in worship, 4)interest in remembering god( smarane), 5)interest in servent ship

6) interest in friendship,7) interest in vathsalya (affection) ,8) interest in athma nivedane  9) interest in indulgence 10) interest in separation.

 

83) Without giving mind to people’s criticism , without fea highness  kumara, vyasa, shuka,koundinya, Garga ,Vishnu, koundinya, sheshsa  uddhava, aruni,bali,Hanuman,vibhishana and other acharyas   have described.

84) Who in holy teaching told by Narada,who keeps faith in that, who keep shraddha(sincerity,interest), they will become devotees.he will become bhakthiman. Will get god.

1)     Now  therefore we will describe devotion.

 

 As poer smrithi sentence omkara,atha word in past  emitted  from neck (throat) of  brahmsadeva , these are indicative of  mangala(good).This is believed by all asthikas(theists). For that only for   avoidance of vighnas(obstructions,troubles,problems) this shloka is used.

 

Like this epic sentence  to all mangalas  dependence Sri hari  in whose heart  is always present to such devotees amangala(bad) will not happen. But in beginning of book  to follow formality , Narada who has kept Narayana in heart, here has used  word ]atha’.

 

 Bhagavatha-1-2-42

 To those who have surrendered god  devotion, divine experience, dispassion  in sense objects(vishaya viraga)-as all these  happen together ego (ahankara )Gets reduced  supreme joy will happen (is got).Therefore in order to get  parama purusharthas(chief objectives of human life to be achieved) this scripyure is started.

 

CHANDOGYA UPANISHATH: 7-24-1

 

 Where another one is not seen another one is not heard,,where other one is not known, that itself is bhuma. Where he sees another,hears another,,knows another, that is alpa(small) Which is bhuma that is amritha. Which is small that is marthya”

 

2)FEATURES of  devotion form:

That is   limitless love form in him

 

Athma added woth nature character is called kshehrajna. One who has left all those is called paramathma(supremeself,universal self,god).

 

To me and you  all those who know  body as themselves  trueli inside present athma is god.

In Vishnu purana All this world is  all animals form  vishnu’s vibhuthi. Those who are vivekies  should see this as their athma with abheda(non difference).

Like this prahlada has told.

 

 Vihnu purana 2-16-23

 All what is here  all is one god only. That itself is this achyutha. Other than him  nobody  else is there for ever. He is myself. He only is you. And he only is all these. All is athma form leave difference fascination. Like this nidagha tells.

 

(if seen properly paramtma thathva is seen here only in heart cavr.(mundaka.(3-1-7).

 

Bri. 1-4-8) Thjerefore this athma is dearer than son. Very much dearer. Dearer than all remaining. This is inner than all.

 

 According to lakshana sentence of scholars1) words (talk) should be as much as possible 2) about matter of meaning there should be no doubt. 3) there should be summary in meaning.  4) By one talk various kinds of meanings should be produced. It should not include meaningless words. 55) there should be  no defect in sentence meaning.

 

3)That is amrithathva form only

 Bri  .1-5-3

‘desire,determination(sankalpa), doubt, faith, not to believe, to keep mind in matter on;ly,no firmness, shyness, intellect,fear all these are vritthies only(mental modifications,mntal fluctuations) . these happen by  which outere causes,those are matters(sense objects).

 

Vishnu purana 1-19,-84,85,86

‘o namaskarams to Vishnu. To him again again namaskarams.,in whom all is present,,by whom all is formed, one who has become all,residence(ashraya) to all namaskarams to him.

 

4) Fruit of devotion

If this is got purusha becomes siddha. Becomes amritha, becomes satisfied.

 

MEANING OF PUMAN(PURUSHA):

 Vishnu purana.2-13-97,96

Male, female(woman), ox,horse, elephant,bird, tree—these are all bodies which are happened by karma  kept by people. Jiva is not  god,not man, not animal, not tree also. These body shapes are due to karmas.

 

 Bhagavatha 11-14 -14

‘Devotee who has dedicted his mind in me only  brahma padavi(post), mahendra’s heaven,or emperor’s post or world lordship ,yogasiddhi, or liberation without rebirth-except me he will not desire any other thing!

 

Mukundamala 4

 ‘I am desiring your lotus feet  for  use of getting liberation. Sri hari,,I am not doing namaskarams to avoid kumbhipaka hell  pain also, In Indra’s divine garden also  I don’t want to enjoy wit apsaras(divine damsels),.what more is In birth and birth also in heart cave  let me be feeling you’ A devotee  wants to feel (remember) god continuously in heart. After getting god   Iwill get moksha( liberation)  named purushartha. What else? Though he does not want   he will get siddhi(accomplishment) of god attainment(Bhagavath prapthi).

 

MUNDAKA 3-2-9

‘One who knows parabrahma as his own form  be becomes brahma only. In his family there will be no one who does not know brahma. He crosses sorrow. He crosses dharma adharma form  sin. By bavidya granthies(knots) in heart  getting released will become amritha.Like this mundaka shruthi ntells.

 

A.DHA.1-8-22-4

 Like this it is told in Apasthambha  book.’All animals  present in heart cave, destructionless, sinless, paramathma’s puras . Non moving in moving body  him  knowing who are meditating  they are Amrithas.’.This is the meaning of suthra.

 

Bhagavatha 11-19- 45

 What is character?what is defect? By describing these  in various ways is of no use. To tell inone word  character,defect- to divide and see itself is defect. Absence of these two intellects is  intellect is  character. Like this god’s vision. To one who is  indulging in   gods devotion which is beyond character and defect  in which there will be hatred? Except god in which he wants to  be happy?

 

GITHA-12-13

 Meaning of this sentence is : akshara form god only  doing upasana, standing in  samyak jnana only, residing,,who has left all eshanas (ashanas,desires)),sanyasies ‘Advesta sarva bhuthanam’ like this described,cause of getting amrithathva directly , to tell dharma group god has  started.

 

 BHAGAVATHA 11-14-15

‘uddhava to me  brahma,shiva,balarama ,Lakshmi ,at end myself only are not so much dear as you”.

 

Githa18-54,55

 One who has become brahma svarupa(form)  becoming  pleased in mind  will leave sorrow and desire in world. Present in all equally, will get my devotion. By devotion how much greatness I am having, Which form I am? Knowing like this, by that thathvajnana(philosophy) joins in me only-has told like this.

 

Bhagavatha 1-13-16

 This Eshwara body let it be  meditation stage in any way. Or awaken  to one who is siddha this is not seen. Because he has  already got  his own form(svarupa). Intoxicated by alcohol, one who does not see anything   by dauva vasha  (by gods grace)  cloth on body slips and falls  or by god’s grace  is on body properly, he will not see. Like thsat only his condition.

 

   ELEVEN kinds ofd devotions:

1)     Guna mahathmasakthi 2) rupasakthi 3) pujasakthi(interest in worship). 4) dasyasakthi(interest in service)  5)Smaranasakthi(interest  in  remembering) 

6) vathsalyasakthi(interest in affection and kindness).7) kanthasakthi

8) athmanivedana interest  9) thanmayasakthi(interest in indulgence) ,

10) paramavirahasakthi(supreme dispassion interest).These are kinds of devotion.

 

DEVOTION ACHARYAS :are vyasa ,shuka, shandilya, garga,koundinya,shesha,uddhava,

 

Fruit is for those who perform (anustana) according to scriptures advice: In mangalakara(good doing) advice done by Narada ne keeps faith,behaves with interest and sincerity, he will become devotee. Will get beloved god. Will get beloved god.

“Indulging inmy karma only,thinking myself is high   one who is indulged in  my devotion interest in sense objects, interest in karmas, fruit attachment, ypga attachment- like this leaving all attachments(interests),without in any animal , who is there, he will join me only.-like bhagavantha only has told.

 

 To whom  source cause of all worlds, in you there is firm  devotion  to him what is use by dharma artha(money) and wealth? Liberation is in his hand only.-like this in purana (epics) prahlada ‘s words are there.

 

Like this  shrithi smrithi puranas  by  by supreme  devotion(para bhakthi)  parama purusharthas will be got. Pancha maha yajnas(five great yajnas),,gods worship, manthra-japa(chanting) studies excetras, meditation of god- all these are included in gouna  devotion.  God’s lobve(love in god) only is  true devotion.That love is god’s form only. In that love form god  mixing  than to be indulged  higher paragathi is not there.-This itself is  supreme siddhantha(doctrine) of bhakthi shasthras)(devotion scriptures).

 

ADDENDUM:

1) Exept devotion  from any other thing, eho(ahamkara) is not removed. Therefore we will describe devotion well.

2)This devotion is(in god who is our athma)  extraordinary  love form.

3)That devotion is indestructible(has no destruction).

 4) If devotion is got man will become siddha  without desiring anything. As he becomes god only  he becomes deathless natured. Gets satisfied.

5) After getting this devotion  will not desire anything. I will lose smething or I have lost something . like this he will not feel sorrow. He will not anybody or anything. He will not hate anybody or anything. Keeping mind in anything he will not become ratha(interested). He is not enthusiastic in anything.

 

6) One who has brought  devotion under experience  will be as though forgotten himself(body) .Stands where he is standing. Makes his mind to play in athma only.

7) Devotion is not desiring. Because it  destroys all  desires.

8) Nirodha means to do sanyasa (renunciation) of  loukika(this worldly,mundane)  and vaidika karmas.

9) to be present in god with unique(ananya)  feel, and karmas which are obstructive to  such karmas  to not to bring into mind.

10) Except god to not to depend on god is uniqueness(ananyathe).

11) In loukika (this worldly ) and vaidika karmas  to be in uniqueness (ananyathe)  will do what is helpful only. Karmas which are opposite  to not to bring to mind.(nirodha)

12) In matter of  devotion   even after hard  mind decision  devotee  should protect  scriptures.

13) krithakrithya  (what is to be done is done)devotee protecting scriptures if duty is not done, people will doubt him as sinner (pathitha).

14) Loukika(this worldly,mundane)  karma also in matter of devotion  till decision is hard only right. To inevitable body condition necessary meals excetra  transactions due to prarabdha  till body exists  by bsdhitha anuvritthi  will be present.

 

15) Regarding matter of devotion  different acharyas openions are how.That we will tell now.

16) In god’s worship  excetras  presence of love is feature of devotion .Like this Gargacharya  has told.

17) Love in  story telling ,teachings eccetra  is called devotion.Like this Gargacharya has told.

18) Without obstructing Athmaratha (athma play) love in  worships ,stories excetras itself is feature of devotion.. like this Shandilyacharya tells.

19) To dedicate all acharas(behaviors)  to god,if god’s remembrance(Smarane) is missed those who become very sorrowful,.This is feature of devotion. Like this Narada tells.

20) This is like this.for this  there is example.To tell like this only there is example.

21) vraja’s gopies devotion itself   is example.

22) In that also forgetting  god’s mahathmes rule  exception was also there.

23) If there is no that feature will be like love of prostitutes,womanisers).

24) In that womanizers love, if another one is happy I am happy. This feel will not be there.

25) That devotion is higher than  karma-jnana yogas.

26) because  this parabhakthi (supreme devotion)  is fruit form to all those.

27) To eshwara ego(Ahankara) is not acceptable. And loves those who surrender.(therefore devotion is higher than karma excetras).

28) To deotion jnana is means. This is openion of few.

29) Devotion  and jnanas  are produced from one to one( supportive each other)..this is openion of few achayas.

30) Devotion is fruit itself by itself..this is Narada’s openion.

31) Because in  palace, meals, excetras like that love is only means. It is found.

32) In example  by mere knowledge king is not  happy. Hunger will also not go.

33) therefore who want liberation, should make that gouna devotion as means.

34) To that devotion  acharyas say means(sadhanas) like this.

35)s By leaving  sense objects,, by not having interest in those devotion is got.

36) by doing bhajan of god  without gap(continuously) it is got.

37) Even while engaged in lkoukika(this worldly,mundane) transactions also  to listen charecters of god,,to do kirthana-by these devotion is got.

38) Mainly  by grace of great purushas only  devotion is got. If little grace of god is obtained  by that(sathsanga)  both are got.

39) it is difficult to get  company(friendship) of good people. When got it is difficult to  know it’s  highness. It is very  invaluable.

40) thgough like this  it is got by grace of god only.

41) because there is no difference  god and his devotees.

42) Therefore it should only be achieved.,it should only be achieved.

43) bad things, and friendship of bad people  should be left in all kinds.

44) kama, anger,fascination, to miss memory, loss of intellect- (like this as all are cause of getting spoiled)

45) Though these kama ,anger excetras  are each  though like wave, one as cause of another impossible to cross  sea only becomes.

46) who can cross maya?- if pressed and asked  tis is the answer. One who makes friendship of  sense objects excetras, who serves  sadhus ,, to whom there is no pride that this is mine he only can cross maya.

47) Who is doing lonely living,, who has pulled out  vasana(smell) bondage of  human worls, pithri world, and divine world along with root,, who is trying to cross raja,thana, sathva charecters,  not  indulging in  things protection  he will cross maya.

 

48)Who leaves karma fruit,dedicating karmas to god , will do sanyasa,who has no relation of  joys sorrows, no love and hatred, no relation of dvandvas (duals) like this, he will cross maya.

 

49) Like karmas  making  sanyasa of Vedas also, residing in god only  love who has got he will crosses maya.

 

50) he only crosses maya. He only crosses, he will make people to cross.

51) Love’s(prema) form  (fixing as like this) can’t be told.

52)  Iyt is indescribable like  taste experienced by dumb.

53)In some suitable  devotee it appears.

54) It has no relation of satha raja thama, kamaless(desireless), grows every moment, very subtle(sukshma) , experience form.

55) One who gets that love  becomes love(prema) only , to hi, all will be loveful(premamaya). His talk,vision, thoughts-all unites in love.

56) In gouna (minor,mild)  devotion  as sathva raja thama charecters are  dominant, by that Artha,jijnasu, artharthi-named differences three kinds.

57) Among these devotions than devotion going forward  told,previously told  devotion  is cause for high shreyas.

58) Devotion is easy than  remaining all other means.

59) Because to devotee  there is no  desire of another evidence.

60) (devotion)  by peace form, by paramananda(supreme joy) nature form inthis there is more facility.

61) Devotee  should not attach to  world’s safety worries to mind.S Because he has dedicated himself,his safety, vedas to god. 

62) when goiuna devotion is not yet accomplished(attained) world accepted  transactions should not be done. Renunciating all karmas means of that devotion  should be done always.

 

63) Should not be hear matter of  women, matter of money, and behavior of atheists(nasthikas) .

 

64)pride (Anhimana) dambha(show off) should be left.

65) dedicating all matters to him only  kama,anger, self pride-excetras should be done in him only.

 

66) fear, kama, with extrardinaryness, or love(prema),who does love, love matter- renunciation these three forms  love only should be done. Love only should be done.

 

67) Those who have ekantha(loneliness) devotion  are main devotees.

68) With love of loneliness devotion, with melted  mind, throat getting tied, getting excitement(erection of hairs), pouring tears of joy are making earth  and families are making holy.

69)(those devotees)  make thirthas as thirthas. make karmas as sathkarma , make good scriptures  into good scriptures.(sath shasthras).

70)They will be indulged in god.

71) by these pithris(fathers) will become joy. Gods dance. Earth also becomes  orphanless.

72) In them  no difference of  caste, educayion, beauty, family, money ,karma. They will not differentiate caste.

73)Because they belong to him.

74) Should not depend on logic(discussion).

75) Because argument of has chance of growing and has no stop.

76) Devotion scriptures should bt recapitulated. Should be doing karmas which rise devotion.

77) joys and sorrows,desire,profit- excetras not having  if he maintains time only becomes liberation desirer(mumukshu) . therefore practitioner(sadhaka) Should not waste even half  a moment.

78) non violence, truth, purity, kindness, asthikya(theism)- should ,maintain These behaviors.

79) Without attaching  any worries to mind all what is seen is god only, like this should be worshiping (bhajisu) him only.

80)If one is doing sankirthana only ,in short time  god appears(body) and blessed devotees with  experience.

81) To three truths  devotion is high. Devotion is greater than all.

82) Guna mahathma interest, form interest, wotrship interest, smarana(remembrance) interest, interent in servent ship, vathsalya (affection,kindness), kanthasakthi (interest as husband), athmavivedana interest, thanmaya sakthi(interest in indulgence), interest in supreme dispassion(parama virahasakthi) are kinds of devotion-  truly it has only one form. Like this leven kinds.

83) Like this  sanathkumara, vyasa, shuka, shanfilya, Garga, Vishnu, koundinya, shesha, uddhava, Aruni, Bali, Hanumantha, Vibhishana- all these excetra acharyas  without fearing to chats of people are telling only one openion.

84) Who keeping  faith in  scripture advice told by Narada, behave with devotion, he becoming devotee will get beloved  god(bhagavantha).

CHAPTER 1:

1)Now ,therefore jignasa (desire to know, (jnathum + iccha) of devotion will be done.

2) that is very much love In Eshwara.

3) To one who is residing in him, as amrithathva is adviced,devotion jignasa

Is not useless.

4 )to word ‘samstha’ if meaning jnana is objected we say no. because there will be no sincerity  to knowledge  of one who hates(objects).

5) And from that devotion  jnana will have upakshaya(reduction?), should be known like this.

6) As it is opposite to hatred, as word rasa is used devotion is love form only.

7) Devotion is not action(kriya).

8)Therefore only fruit is infinet.

9)Devotion is not knowledge. Like other prapatthi(surrendering, sharanagathi)  this should be known.

10) It is important. Because other meanses desire it.

11) By prakarana also(should be nown like this).

12) If amrithathva is fruit of  darshana(vision) ,if told, it is not so. Because  in the middle word’he’ has come.

13)And it is seen  like this in world also.(knowledge is part of devotion)

14)therefore only  though it is not there to gopies liberation is told.

15) Through devotion knows god. If told like this not right. Because  with help of devotion through abhijnapthi( self experience?) knows.

16) and this has been told earlier only.

17) by this  answer is given  that there may be vikalpa  in jnana and devotion.

18) Divine devotion  is applicable to  others who are not gods.Like this told together.

19) (In  achievement(practice) of liberation  what is place of Pathanjala yoga?-this is the question.)

Yoga is useful to devotion and jnana(knowledge). Because like prayaja( both those this) desirre.

 

Devotion is known by evidence of shruthies.

And is known by epics and histories also.

20) but by  gouni devotion  Samadhi (trance) is accomplished.

21) As devotion is love form  to be renunciated.If told like this, it is not right. Because it  depends upon better parameshwara . As in matter of attachment(sanga)  here also should be known.

 

22) As told earlier(su.9) In this scripture to bhagavadgitha  place and honour of shruthi is given. Therefore present in suthra ‘shabdath’ as there is shruthi. Like meaning is to be done.

23) by question and answers also  devotion will increase as it is proved that only is important.

24) Devotion  is not in form of Shraddha only. Because shraddha is ordinary.

(shraddha-interest and sincerity).

25) In case if devotion is shraddhe(interest and sincerity) it becomes anavastha. ( it is not shraddha).

26) brahmakanda is present for devotion. Because it’s knowlrdge is equal to both kandas.(kanda –branch),part.).

27) like avaghatha (blow,stroke) till purification  should be tryinmg for brahma  vishayaka (related with brahma matter). knowledge.

28) And  their parts also  again again  should be practiced.

((not enough if only parts of knowledge are studied. Their parts  gurupasadana(going to uru’s house), logic(tharka not opposite to Vedas, Shama dama excetras  should be  practiced again again.)

29)s that intellect should be in favour of parameshwara like this kashyapa feels. That means  parameshara is higher than jiva.

30)  Only athma should be object.like this Badarayana feels.

31) Intellect can have both  as objects(matters). like this shandilya says. Because shruthi and logic(tharka) support this only.

32) as there is difference between  jivathma and paramathma9to concentrate intellect on both) is not proved(accomplished).It told not right. Because like Abhijnana not special , (that means equal)(factors,parts,Amshas are there, this is possible).

(parameshwara has power of creation, maintainance, and destruction)

33) And parameshwara will not under go sorrow. Because there is ananthara vishesha)

 

34) let it be as I matter of wealth if told like this it is not proper. Because it is nature.

 

35) Parameshwara’s  wealth  is not prohibited(forbidden). Not like that about matter of others because they will be having  his feeling only.

 

36)when there ara no jivathmas hat will happen to wealth of parameshwara? It never happens like that. Because intellects are  infinet.

37) as  it is betwwe nature to parabrahma  no change(no viksarathva). Because first thought, later following it creation excetra  works.

38) That which is based (residing)in brahma  may become like peeta (seat,chair) in house.

39) brahma and prakrithies  as they mutually desire those both are world causes only.

40) Matter to chethana(spirit)  ans chaithanya(spirit)  leaving these two there is no third.

41) and as they are anadies(beginingless)  both two are joined(merged).

42) as msanfest(vedya)  work  is also power of parameshwara  not false.

43)And that devotion  as there is purity in world is known through signs(chinches).

 

44) honour,prize, love, separation(viraha), other treatments, greatness fame, prana wearing for parameshwara ,feeling that  it belong to him,,feeling that all is he only, he has no opposite(prathikula) –these excetras are features of devotion. Because in smruthies  those are described very much.

45) but not like that in matter of hatreds excetras.

46) In gods pradurbhava (done devotion also) same(that only). Because  it only is that vakyashesha (sentence remaining).

47) and to one knows parameshwara’s birth and karmas there is no ebirth..like that there is shruthi. (known to be like this).

48)And that birth is divine.because it produced by own power only.

 

49) his grace only is main cause for his rebirth.

50) In matter of vibhuthi done devotion is not cause. Because those vibhuthies are are ordinary jivies(lives)

51)And as gambling and king’s service is forbidden(prohibited)  is to be known like this.

52)9prohibition)  is present in matter of vasudeva also..if told like this not right.because only shape exists.

53)And as it isidentified like thi also  is to be known like this.

54) As he is high(shresta) among  vrishnies only it is told like that.

55) Andlike this in famous incarnations also.

 

SECOND AHNIKA:

56) As upasamhara (closure,ending) is done by gouni devotion bhajan  gouni devotion will be for para devotion(supreme devotion) only.because it is cause of that.

57)  as other devotions also  produce love(anuraga)  along with prakirthana  as it Is  told  will produce main devotion.

58)  But other devotions  told in middle are parts of chief devotion. In the same way in upasanas(also told). Because those belong to  brahma kanda.

(brahma branch).

59)s B those holness is produced. Because staring like tht it is told.

60)in those as main devotion is added more fruit is produced. Few acharyas feel like this.

61)  Than told in previous suthras  different openion  is described here. As name of acharya jaimini is mentioned his openion is acceptable to suthra maker.

 

62) here,inmatter of usage of Angas-as in house excetras- should carried out in time.

63)  to make eshwara happy, among these  one strong is enough.

64) coming as fruit of dedication  lack of money s door to parabhakthi(supreme devotion).

65) rule of meditation is  due to facility of  drista   vasthu(thing to be seen).

66) there ‘yuj’ dhathu(root)  is used in meaning of worship. It is not like that in   matter of other yagas.

67) Padodaka means padya only. Because in other places it is not applicable.

68) What is dedicated to god  can be taken by  own self also. Because Sathva thathva in his matter also  is equal.

69) In matter of gods crimes9divine crimes)  nimittha(cause ) and vaigunya accoding to thse there is classification.

70) donation leaves(pathres) is  is part of devotion only. Otherwise t becomes special.

71) as it is produced by sukritha (good deed)  cause to parabhskthi(supreme devotion).devotions are better among  actions(kriyas).

72) three kinds of devotees are important. For praise  he is joined with another(jnani).

73)Like avesti(?)  and sava(shravana kirthana devotion)  may become both outer and inner.

74) smrithi (remembering ,smarane)  kirthane, god story  excetras should be added in artha devotion. Because those are in  atonement (prayaschittha) form.

75) very difficult atonements(prayaschitthas)  performance will go off. If told lkike this not right. Because smarane excetras should carried out up to  end of body journey..upasamhara(ending) is done like this. 9those should be included in  great atonements.)

76) (smarana(remembrance) excetras sadhanas) though little destroys great sins. Because in matter of devotee  all remaining atonements(prayaschitthas) are left.

77)(which has come instead of upasthambha(sacrifice pillar) , like onake(kirthana excetra sadhanas) it’s( that means atonements) place it has come. So it has not got it’s dharma.

78) To those who have got blamed birth (to all in devotion) will have eligibility(authority). By heritage (they also can know matter of devotion). Like ordinary dharma. (All have got eligibility in devotion).

79) As there eligibility to all in devotion ,, those who have immature devotion also , in god’s world  shvatha dvipa(white Island) taking birth , continueing practice will get para bhakthi( supreme devotion).

80)but( if understood like this only)  kramagathi ,Ekagathi 9Gradual movement, one movement) –these match.

81) Prsent in smrithi  uthkranthika  by sentence remaining(known like this only).

82) But great sinners are eligible for  Artha devotion  only.

83) That para bhakthi( supreme devotion) itself is  ehsantha (loneliness) feel. Because githa has recognized this only as meaning.

84) By producing supreme devotion(para bhakthi)  only to all  ( there is use in  liberation). Because it is told like that.

 CHAPTER 3:

85) To be worshiped (bhajaniya) (eshwara) this world is not  different. Because all is his form only.

86) his power maya ( is material cause(upadana cause) to world. Because it is  equal in all inert(jada)  substances.

87) vyapyas(means works) from vyapakas (,means by their upadana(material) cause), as they are occupied  (should be known like this/.

88) by intellect of jivathmas  creation can’t happen. Because  it does not happen.

89) Creating high and low jivies (parameshwara) like father, creates (composes)  shruthies also.

90) In Vedas excetras  as violence mixed advice is given (parameshwara is like father).If told no it is not right. Because it is small.

91) Karma fruit   is produced from him(from parameshwara) . Like this Badarayana tells. Because in world it is found like  that only.

92) Laya(destruction) happends in viparitha wheel. Because in world it is found like that only.

 

SECOND AHNIKA:

93) Unmion is it’s nature. As seen in matter of Adithya , to join with upadhi or to leave –through this  multiplicity ans ekathva(oneness) is produced.

(To leave jiva bhaava and to get brahma bhaava(feel) is liberation)

94) If told jivathma is different from paramatma( supreme self, universal seelf)It is not right. Because to brightful jivathma there will be  no relation with paramahma. ( this appearance I mere  show not paramartha. This is doctrine(Siddhantha).

95) but jivatmas will not get change(vikara). Because anthahkarana(mind)  gets vikara(change).

96) With unique devotion intellect that I am himself only.This intellect is produced. When intellect gets destroyed ultimately(very much )s liberation is got.

97) Till there is longevity liberation is delayed. Other karmas will get destroyed.

There is no aspada(……..?) for them to give fruit.

98) Their devotionlessness is cause of  family. Family is not produced due to ignorance. Because   ignorance  is cause. This is not evident(established).

99) Like rudra  to jivathmas word(shabda,sound),linga, and Aksha called three eyes are there.

Pramana is means of  getting knowledge. Prathyaksha(Direct), anumana(inference), and agama(Apthavakya) these three pramanas are all accepted. In this suthra‘Akha’ (eye,prathyaksha),  by word linga(sign)  inference(anumana), by word ‘shabda’ Shruthi or agamas are accepted.

100)Avirbhava-thirodana named vikaras(changes) happen. Because action is added with fruit.(Avirbhaba-manifestation,thirodana –concealment).
